[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So Donald Trump, trying to trick everybody, lying to us, pretending that he actually works at McDonald's. My God, has this man no shame? He, uh, yeah, outrage ensued. Donald Trump goes to a McDonald's in Pennsylvania and works for about a half a year.
[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: For about a half an hour, you know, slinging fries and, uh, running the drive-thru and, um, outrage ensues. Right? This kind of thing we have never seen before. Except I think, well, no, wait a minute. Well, me being a student of history, I now recall, I think it was, it was either Mussolini or Hitler. I don't remember. Uh, it was, it was Hitler who rolled burritos at a Taco Bell
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01]: in a last-ditch campaign tactic, if I remember correctly. So it has been done before, right? So of course Trump would mimic Hitler. Um, this is, yeah. This is a normal thing.
[00:01:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I've been following politics for 30 years, 30 years. And I seem to recall, like, every single politician going to some kind of restaurant or, remember, remember Mel Watts?
[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Mel Watts, who was not a fan of the free-flowing discussions, he was a congressman from the, the, like, ridiculously gerrymandered 12th district, if I remember correctly.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe it was the 9th. Was that Sue Myrick? I think Sue was the 9th. Anyway, Mel Watts district ran from Charlotte to Greensboro.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And at some points it was literally as wide as the interstate. They, they, I mean, you want to talk, and this is why all of these Democrats,
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_01]: especially my good friend Ray, Governor Cooper, he was in charge of the map drawing when they made those maps.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And so to hear him talk about gerrymandering, it's like, dude, I don't believe you. Okay? I just, I don't believe you.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Now everything's a threat to democracy. And I understand you've got slogans to regurgitate and all of that,
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_01]: but you literally drew a map that made a district for Mel Watts that ran along the interstate in order to gerrymander it
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_01]: and to keep as many Democrat seats as possible.
[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_01]: The problem was the demographics and the political dispositions of the voting public changes.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Unfortunately, for Democrats in North Carolina, they, they changed away from the Democrats.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And so despite all of the gerrymandering, they could not hold on to power.
[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: But this kind of thing was done all the time. Mel Watts used to go every, every two years.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like it was every two years. Maybe he did it more often, but I know he did it during the election cycle.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: He would go work a job for a couple hours for earned media, which is basically just free coverage that you get for, you know, doing something.
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_01]: You go out and you create some kind of an event, media come and cover you, and you don't have to pay for the time on the local newscast.
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And Mel Watts would go, he called it something like, you know, work a day in your shoes or something like that.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_01]: And he would go and work at some job to show, you know, everybody that I'm for the little guy, you know, and then he would, you know, go back to wearing his tailored suits and whatever.
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So look, I'm not knocking the guy for wearing tailored suits.
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not knocking tailored suits.
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I want, if you want to wear those suits, you go right ahead.
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter to me.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_01]: But it was all, look, these kinds of things, for example, State Fair, anybody?
[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_01]: State Fair, right?
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody goes to the State Fair.
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the politicians, right?
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_01]: All the politicians go to the State Fair and they go and they meet with people and they eat various crazy foods, right?
[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what they do.
[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_01]: That's always what they do.
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_01]: That's what they've always done.
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_01]: There are like drawings inside of caves showing this behavior.
[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay?
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: We know this.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, by the way, we're going to be at the Mallard Creek Barbecue on Thursday.
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: There's another one, right?
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Do the politicians show up because that's where the pork is or do, no, it's where the voters are.
[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_01]: If you've never been to the Mallard Creek Barbecue for years, since COVID, they haven't done the sit-down dining and all of that outside.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So they, you know, set out, you know, picnic tables and all that stuff.
[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_01]: But now they're bringing it back for this one.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_01]: It's on Thursday.
[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And so whenever you've got this many people and this much barbecue, the politicians are coming.
[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And you've got the media there.
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's just, it's the perfect storm.
[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And so the Mallard Creek Barbecue just leaned into it.
[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And so you would have this whole area where all the politicians would stand because they knew that while you're waiting in line, they could come up and talk with you and try to get your vote.
[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_01]: So then some people were like, I don't want to talk to the politicians.
[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_01]: So Mallard Creek Barbecue started making different lanes.
[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So you could, like, you could go and you can walk down the lane.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And while you're waiting, you could talk to the different politicians.
[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_01]: And then they had another lane that was like the quiet car on the train.
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Like, you're not allowed to talk.
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Politicians were not allowed to be near the people on that lane.
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's coming back.
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_01]: It's on Thursday.

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Wait a minute.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying these things aren't just completely impromptu?
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Are you saying that there was some level of coordination involved with shutting down a McDonald's for a few hours while a former president who has been, you know, targeted for assassination on two different occasions, like that they might need to secure that that facility.
[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_01]: So they shut it down and.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Stage managed.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Man, it sounds actually here.
[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I should give you one of these.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_01]: He should have just gone into a random McDonald's someplace.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_01]: The Priamonte Brothers sandwich shop in Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago.

[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_01]: No, of course you don't.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: But she did.
[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what they did?
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01]: They stage managed that appearance.
[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Except there they kicked all of the customers out first.
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody that was in there eating their sandwich.
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: They were all told to leave.
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And then they bust in a bunch of fake customers, stuffed them in there.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_01]: And then she walked around and talked with the fake customers as if they were real customers.
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_01]: See, stage management.
[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_01]: This is standard operating procedure for politicians.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But the Washington Post wants you to know that he only briefly manned the Fry Station.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Which I know to call it the Fry Station.
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I worked the Fry Station.
[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: In fact, we called them boards.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Burger board.
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Specialty board.
[00:09:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Whopper board.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_01]: See, because I worked at Burger King.
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is superior to the McDonald's.
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I'm not trying to create a whole mayo is the best condiment kind of an argument here.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_01]: But, yeah, Burger King is flame broiled.
[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's just superior to me.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And it is actually flame broiled.
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I can personally tell you that they are in fact cooked on an open flame.
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_01]: They don't just add what I heard somebody say.
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they just add some sort of air freshener or something that smells like Whoppers being cooked or something into the smoke that comes out of the fast food restaurant.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Because they don't really do that.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I can tell you they really do that.
[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And if they have some sort of a scent of the cooking hamburgers, well, I would like to purchase that, please.

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: And there was a road that went from Montauk Highway perpendicular.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And so there were some very colorful, unique outfits.
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_01]: My favorite was the guy with the knee-high black socks, sandals, a Speedo, and a leather jacket.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_01]: I did not know what I was looking at as a 16-year-old.
[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Working at a Burger King.
[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But I worked all of the stations.
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I did drive-through.
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I did the cash...
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I got removed.
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I was actually removed from the cashier counter.
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Because I challenged a couple that were regulars.
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_01]: That I believe they were regularly scamming us out of money.
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Because they were.
[00:14:04] [SPEAKER_01]: All right, so here's the story real quick.
[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_01]: When I worked at the Burger King, I was like 16 or 17 years old.
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I forget.
[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And having worked on the Whopper board, this is what they call it,
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_01]: where you make the Whoppers and they make all of the food, you know,
[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: when it comes in, when the orders come in.
[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So you make them real fast.
[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And there was always a couple that would come in and I knew their order.
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_01]: I knew who they were because I knew their order.
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And their order, I still remember to this day,
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_01]: it was four, because there was two of them.
[00:14:42] [SPEAKER_01]: They would each get two double Whoppers with cheese,
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_01]: add bacon, heavy all.
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_01]: What does that mean?
[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, double Whopper with cheese, obviously.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Add bacon.
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_01]: So it's a bacon double Whopper with cheese,
[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_01]: which is two or four, I guess it's four patties maybe?
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I forget.
[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And then the heavy all is an extra serving of all of the condiments.
[00:15:10] [SPEAKER_01]: So instead of like two tomatoes, you get three.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like 50%, I think is what it was.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_01]: So heavy all means you got 50% more of all of the toppings.
[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_01]: They would order two per person.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_01]: So there was a couple of them.
[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So there were four of these Whoppers and I would get the order when it came in every single Friday night.
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So I knew who they were because here's the thing.
[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_01]: They would make the order and then about 10 or 15 minutes after I would make this order and shove it out,
[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I would have to make another two.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_01]: About 15 minutes after I made the four, I'd have to make another two.
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: And then I would have to make another two about another 15 minutes after that.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_01]: So by the end of their presence in the restaurant, I was making eight of these things, which puts you behind because you can't.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's I mean, that is an intensive burger to build.
[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, and so they would.
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_01]: But they would come back up and return the burger every single Friday night.
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_01]: They would both come up and bring bring back their burgers after they'd eaten half of them.
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And they say it's cold.
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And so the manager, customers always write the manager would just say, make two more.
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_01]: They would eat that one.
[00:16:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Then they would proceed to eat half of their second original burger.
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_01]: They would bring that back up and say, now this one's cold.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And they would get another two to replace their two that they just turned in.
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_01]: So they were getting three double whoppers with cheese for the price of two.
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_01]: They were very large.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, they were very large people.
[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So.
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_01]: This got frustrating for me because I knew what they were doing.
[00:17:06] [SPEAKER_01]: The scam was obvious after the second time it happened, like the second week it happened.
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_01]: The scam to me was very obvious and I didn't I don't like that.
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_01]: OK, I have a very low tolerance for that kind of stuff.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And so eventually I get put up onto the cashier station.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And it was my last night as a cashier.
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It may have been my first or second.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_01]: I forget.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_01]: And I am at the cashier and this couple comes up and.
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_01]: They ordered the two double whoppers with cheese plus bacon heavy oil.
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_01]: And.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I knew exactly who they were.
[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they order it.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_01]: I put it in.
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Give it to them.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_01]: They go to their seats.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_01]: They eat half the whoppers.
[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_01]: They come back up.
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_01]: They claim it's cold.
[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_01]: So I walk over and I pick up the thermostat.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Or a thermometer.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
[00:18:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Not the thermostat.
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_01]: That would be weird.
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Therm.
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I pick up a thermometer and I walk it back over and I jam that thermometer right into their burger.
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And it registers at like 160 something degrees.
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_01]: It's completely fine.
[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_01]: It's hot.
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not cold.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I said this is not a hot.
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: This is not a cold whopper.
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_01]: These this whopper is to temperature.
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And they said we want to talk to your manager.
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_01]: I said I bet you do.
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: So.
[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And so they they they called the manager over.
[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: The manager gave them the freaking burgers and then took me off of the cashier station,
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_01]: which was fine, which was fine, because I shined best on specialty board, which is where
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_01]: you make all of the chicken sandwiches and stuff.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_01]: And I suspect that's why people in the media and Democrats, but I repeat myself, are really upset at the way this all is being perceived.
