What happened? | Hour 1

This episode is sponsored by Revelation Gold Group – After the "blue tsunami" yesterday, people are wondering how it happened. There are a lot of theories and explanations... and many of them were likely factors.

And again, thank you so much for your support. So what happened last night? What do you think? What is your analysis for what happened? Do you want to say North Carolina? You want to focus on North Carolina? What happened there? How do you have the kind of turnout that we saw in a midterm election among Democrats and even among Republicans? Trump voters who apparently voted for Democrats this time around. Meanwhile, passing constitutional amendments that are very conservative in nature. They're voting for Democrats. What about nationwide? To what do you attribute the tsunami, the blue-nami? We're going to have a couple of guests, actually three of them throughout the program, so... this first hour is all you guys. If you want to call in, if you want to text and you want to give your analysis, I mean, not that I'm going to lock it all down and you're not going to be able to comment later. I'm just saying this hour is wide open. I don't want to call it an open line Wednesday, but it kind of is. It kind of is. And I have some thoughts too. And I, I was giving my, my lukewarm takes on what we were seeing last night during the election night coverage here on WBT. Um, And the one thing that I kept coming back to, and I will say it again, is this will be used, the results will be used as proof of whatever prior opinion people held. Okay? So if you, for example, did not like the tariffs, you're going to cite the tariffs. If you did not like the Iran war, you are going to cite the Iran war, right? If you wanted more immigration enforcement or something and you don't think you're getting it, you're going to cite that. You could say he didn't focus enough, Trump, and the Republicans did not focus enough on the economy and the affordability question, right? Which, by the way, the irony there is that you're putting the people back in power that gave you the affordability problem. Because that's where this started. People don't remember that. For some reason, because we are economically and historically illiterate in America, the inflation and the prices that you see today, those prices are what they are because of 2021. Yeah. 2021, 2022, when Democrats had the trifecta, you know, and they were just pushing through all of their crazy spending. Trump contributed, no doubt about it. So did Republicans in Congress. And here's the thing. Americans will complain about the spending, but they don't want to cut the spending. They say cut spending, but they don't want to cut spending. People don't want to actually do the things that are necessary in order to restore fiscal responsibility. And I just base that off of, oh, I don't know, 30 years of watching this stuff. Anytime anybody comes along that says cut something, nope, throw them out of office. All right, so what happened? I will go out on a limb here, and I will suggest that groups of people, let me just say it this way. this was a very good day for Iran and China and communists and Islamists and never Trumpers. And a lot of people in the Republican party that don't like Trump, but held their nose and voted for him and voted for people that fell in line with Donald Trump, you know, because they've, this has been a very good day for the woke right. or the post-liberal right, or whatever you want to call them, the Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, like that crowd. They have been working very hard for the last two years to demoralize the base and tell them to go vote Democrat or don't go vote, and they succeeded. And now they can rail against the Democrats for two more years, and they can try to build up their political party, whatever project they're trying to work on. And I'm guessing that's to install J.D. Vance, and he has some comments here I'll give you in a minute. But what do you think happened? What was the reason? And why? 704-570-1079. Let me jump over. We'll talk with Travis. He'll kick us off here. Hello, Travis. Mr. Pete, I was going to see what topic you were going to choose. And you just said, what do you think of that? Well, I can pick that topic. There you go. I mean, I think first off, Republicans did turn out. It's just Democrats really turned out. So some of this, when we revert to people just staying on the couch, some of these seats will go back Republican just because when we go back to the mean. But I've seen Republicans saying, let's do an about-face. Let's do open trade again like we had. And I don't know what they say about Iran. But here's the reality. A, I don't think Trump is going to do an about-face. Oh, you mean on the tariffs? Yeah, just anything that you think of as Trumpism. Open borders, if the issue you think is that ICE was too mean. Tariffs, if you think it was that issue. Trump's just not going to change what Trump prioritizes. So, A, I don't think it's on the table. But, B, we are where we are. I mean, we're at pseudo-war with Iran. We can't just, like, what are we supposed to do? We can either, A, surrender, just give them all their demands, or, B, go in with a ground invasion like we did in Iraq, which I don't think is a good idea. I think what we need to do is send the army engineers into places like Iraq or Saudi Arabia and help them finish these pipelines that bypass Hormuz and just... deflate their leverage. I think that's the only way, because I don't think there's any stomach for a full-fledged war in Iran. Oh, well, I'll tell you what J.D. Vance just tweeted out. What's that? He wants to end the war, is what he says. Which, I would love that too, but does that mean, because Iran, last I saw, they're wanting tolls for the Hormuz Strait, which would give them more power than they had before the war started. Are we going to do that? Yeah, that's what it seems like. Remember, he was the one pushing the MOU. Yeah, I think we need to give the NDAA, the National Defense Authorization Act is going to be up before the new Congress gets sworn in. So December, I think put in there. allocation for Army Corps of Engineers or CBs or whoever to go expedite the construction of these pipelines. And then what if they get targeted? What if they get hit by Iran drones? Yeah. Then what? Yeah. No, I know. But so what's the other option? Surrender? I would say like either of those. Yeah. I mean, I think right now you just choke them out. That's what I think Trump is doing. He's just strangling them economically. They've got a blockade of all their oil, and unless they escalate somehow, he's just going to let them strangle. That's what it seems like. Well, yeah. I still think expediting these projects is the way. Yeah, you're going to have to protect them. Yeah, but one other thing here, Travis, is that the NDAA, Democrats aren't going to pass that unless it's got a defunding of ICE and Homeland Security. They're going to stuff a whole bunch of stuff into that spending bill. So, like, I don't even know if they'll get a spending bill approved by, you know, signed off on by the president. With ICE, I've had this thought since they did the ICE shutdown. Remember, they funded everything except for ICE. I don't know what the polling is on this, what the general sentiment is in the party. But my view is right now to get a visa legally to come to the U.S., is really difficult and it benefits lawyers. Lawyers make a lot of money off of how convoluted and slow moving our migration system is. So I say it should be easier to migrate legally and harder to migrate illegally. I know we're in a polarized world right now, but I still have to think Are there not 20 Democrats that could say the same thing? Probably not. No, probably not. Travis, I appreciate the call, sir. I mean, that party is long dead, Travis. Those candidates are gone. We're at like almost 70 texts in 15 minutes. Okay. Um, Ooh, let's see. We'll start at the beginning. And I think, is this the beginning? No, this is the beginning. Yes. Okay. Uncle Suds says, well, at least you have some good content for the next couple of years. That's right. Well, until I get hauled off to the gulag, John says, to make matters worse, this will probably propel Clayton Anderson to the national stage as some kind of political genius. Ugh. You're right. God. The North Carolina Democrat Party chair who curses a lot and says, y'all, that's how we won all the rural votes. Right. Cal says, Trump fatigue. Because remember, the question was, what happened? Cal says, Trump fatigue. I would throw in here, I think, I think a lot of people in the Republican camp may have misread the 2024 election when Trump won beating Kamala Harris, the lover of Venn diagrams. And, um, it wasn't so much as like, we love Trump. We're on board with MAGA. It was, you know, great Scott. This is terrible. The, uh, the Biden coup and then installing Kamala, the terrible economy, right? It was a rejection of that. And people read it as, you know, a mandate to do whatever you want. And I think that probably, look, I'm not suggesting here that there is one reason. There are a whole bunch of factors here. Anybody, and I would just say this, beware of anybody who is telling you that this is the reason why the Republicans lost. There are a whole bunch of reasons. And some are, you know, more heavily weighted than others. Some are more heavily weighted in certain areas, in certain races. Right? Candidate quality matters. You put up a bunch of bad candidates. You recruit a bunch of bad candidates. Or let's say, oh, I don't know, you, you know, install a candidate and then put the thumb on the scale in order to make her the favorite to win. And it takes a runoff to get through because she has no experience. And people weren't really too crazy about her brother who died that had the seat that you installed her into. Like, there are Like, there are a lot of factors at play in all these different races. So just be aware and beware of people who tell you that there's one thing that caused all this. Because they're usually trying to either, like, justify their prior predictions or biases or positions. Right? And they're trying to get you to join them to do what they want to see done. 980 number says, thank God Mitch McConnell isn't alive to see this debacle. Sounds like Republicans did not show up. Thanks for the Marxism and Sharia, says Kirk. Yankee Steve says, nothing put my mind at ease more than our first Muslim senator addressing his supporters in Arabic. Yeah, that was, look, I said this yesterday. Abdul El-Sayed winning in Michigan as a representative for the Muslim Brotherhood. Um, like the, like this now empowers more of that. Democrats will just keep going in that direction. Like this, they will see this, they will read this as proof that everything they've been doing is right. All their messaging, their positions, right? All of that stuff has been correct. That's how they're going to read this. They already are reading it that way. Like, they're literally out there saying, we're going to bring down all the prices stuff. Like, how are you going to do that? Are you going to cut spending? No, that's not happening. You're going to spend more. That's what they do. So, yeah, I don't know. Like, I said this last night on the election coverage. So, if you are a Jew in the Democrat Party, where do you go? What are you going to do? Cause that's the, like, that's the cover charge now, right? You got to be minimum anti-Israel pro-Palestine and, you know, accepting of people who have all of these ties to terrorist organizations. You have to accept all of that. And, uh, Maybe if you want to go fully anti-Semite, I mean, stop short of the Nazi tattoo, but if it's not a real obvious Nazi tattoo, we could probably work around that. But just if you stop short of that, then, well, actually, that was not disqualifying. If you have a Nazi tattoo and you whip up on some women, like, yeah, yeah, that's the disqualifying thing. So that's the cover charge. So where do Jews go? I don't know. Roseanne says, I blame Trump and the ridiculous war he started. America always votes with its pocketbook, plus he endorses stupid people. Why did Mecklenburg County pass the bonds? Because that's what voters do. They love to feel good about passing stuff. Oh, look, this is for transportation. Yes. Oh, affordable housing. Why do you want unaffordable housing? You got to vote for this. Yeah, people vote for bonds all the time like this. For North Carolina, John says, wonder how much influence the influx of people from other states that vote Democrat or hate Trump factored in on top of the obvious issues. Yeah, that's part of it too. So for the record also, worst king ever. Worst king. Don't you know, like first rule of kinging is no elections, man. But he held them. held the elections, and his party got blown out. He's lame ducking it now, and worst king ever, for real. Also, gerrymandering, that argument's dead. Democrats now have 10 of the 14 seats in Congress in North Carolina, after claiming they could not possibly win under the maps, and they flipped, like, what, seven seats? Yeah. So, That's out the door. Oh, and also the whole save the democracy. Yeah. Seems like there was a lot of democracy happening. So that one was a lie, too. But of course, we knew these things. But it motivates the angries. All right, real quick, every government number gets revised, right? Every projection gets walked back. Gold does not file corrections like GovCo. There's a link in the podcast description. Or if you want to talk to somebody, you can call 888-465-3049. I have been looking through some of the exit polling and I got a. Well, here's a text from Linda Liberty, who says people are so short sighted, as you said, they don't remember what caused the inflation and issues we have now. I'm extremely concerned that voters have been seduced by the verbiage of the Democratic socialists and the rest who have spoken all the buzzwords to get elected. and they have no intention to follow through on those campaign promises. Business as usual, reopen the border, repeal the tax cuts, more regulation. To this point, NBC's, well, they're reporting it, but they usually pull like a whole bunch of media companies. They pull their resources. They hire these companies to go out and do the exit polling surveys, and then all of the media companies get access to the results. And one of the questions on the exit polling do you consider yourself a democratic socialist and 98% of democrats said yes that's what I said the democratic party has no natural immunity to this stuff It's a relativist mindset. They're careening towards Marxism. And there's nobody there that's going to pull them away. Just like they were so worried about the Republicans going full MAGA, don't, no, don't do that, no, he's a tyrant, blah, blah, blah. We're giving you the warnings. Same thing. They're doing the same thing. They're just going the other direction. This is why it's called the horseshoe political theory, right? You go so far to the left, it bends back around and You go so far to the right, it bends back around. Let me jump over to Tom. Hello, Tom. Welcome to the program. Thank you so much. I'll be straight to the point. Number one, America is on the way back. The MAGA people can stop the socialists and communists calling names because it is the red, white, and blue that voted. It was a democratic country. Victory, not just for the Democrats, but for America, so they can stop the social fear-mongering stuff and call us Americans. No, they self, I just gave you, Tom, I just gave you their responses. Their exit poll, Democrats' exit polling responses said they described themselves as Democratic socialists. You know, I've been living a long time on this earth. And I've been looking to find out who they are. I've been trying to meet Mr. And Mrs. They. I've not yet met them yet. That is not responsive. That is not responsive. Tom, so you're denying that the exit polls are accurate? Is that what you're saying? I'm saying the exit polls have been wrong before. So they're wrong about this? Hey, a poll is a poll. All right. So what about so in the surveys, because I've been covering these questions in various surveys for the last two years almost. And so when the surveys keep showing the same results over and over and over again, that more and more people in the Democrat side of the aisle keep identifying as as Democratic socialists, they're all lying, too, or they're wrong, too. Again, I've never met Mr. and Mrs. Trump. It's not responsive. I'm asking you, Tom, be direct. Tom, be direct. I'm asking you, are those polls wrong, too? Will you let me finish? If you answer the question, yes, Tom. But when you deflect away because you don't want to answer, I'm going to drag you back. I'm going to answer the question. Polls have been wrong before, and I think they can be wrong again. And the bottom line is this. We are all Americans. Would you agree we are all Americans? Whatever that means, sure. Yeah, but that doesn't negate the fact that these surveys keep coming back with Democrats and liberals saying they're democratic socialists and they like socialism more than capitalism. What am I supposed to do, Tom? What am I supposed to do with this information? When I've got— hang on, Tom. Tom, I'm going to ask you something. Tom, when I see polling that shows 40 to 60 percent of people on the left are claiming to be socialist, not capitalist, what am I supposed to read into that? Okay, I'm going to leave that right where it is and let me finish my point. No. I'll get back. No, Tom, you're not going to come back to it. You're going to answer now. What am I supposed to make of it? You are supposed to make of it just what it is, a poll, and that's it. Nothing more, nothing less. No accurate, scientific information. So you're gaslighting me. Okay. Okay, good deal. Now, let's go to Tim Moore. Let's go to Tim Moore. He went low. She went high. Now, that girl, the lady... Congressman-elect Lakeisha Womack may have had that, but she said, I came out living out of car and all that. When that stuff gets to court, it won't even matter because they're probably going to throw it out. So I'm just saying that I thank God that America has forgiveness and love in their heart for people who have run for office because nobody's perfect, but she beat a man that tried to gerrymander his district, and we are all so proud of her. I'm glad you can love your country again, Tom. Okay. Last thing. Let me say this and I'll let you remember. I said this all yesterday, guys. I was talking yesterday about how Democrats, uh, in the surveys, they, they don't love their country unless they're in power. So now you, so now you're getting a lot of the, well, it's true. No. And Tom, Tom, Tom, no, Tom, hang on. You can keep lying to me and yourself, I guess that the surveys don't matter because that somehow polls aren't true and all of this. But, you know, Tom, Tom, see, you're so busy trying to stop me from telling you something because I guess you don't want to hear it. And I understand why, because this is uncomfortable. You gaslighting me, man. No, you know, Tom, you were gaslighting us. That's why that's why I'm treating you like this is because you were gaslighting me. You don't usually treat me mean, but I. Don't treat you mean. No, I challenge, no, Tom, I challenge the things that you say because you just deal in slogans and emotionalism. Can I finish my last point? I don't know. I thought the last one was your last point. No, here's the deal. Trump says he's going to veto this or that. Thank God we have enough in the Senate and Congress to override anything. No, you don't. That's not true either. Tom, that's not true either. That's very true. We'll see. No. Tom, how many votes do they need in the Senate to override a veto? What, two-thirds? How many? I just say two-thirds, so you tell me the numbers. So you don't know. So you're so confident that they're going to be able to veto or override the vetoes, but you don't even know what that number would be? I'm so confident that America is sick and tired. See, when you get your way, then it's America. You speak for all of America, right? No, no. Yeah, that's what you're doing. Please stop gaslighting me. I'm not gaslighting you, Tom. I'm just stating what you're stating. Okay, I'm saying America is back because we're not going. To have people. Because Democrats won't. No, America is back because Democrats won. Well, you said that I did. No, that is what you Tom. Come on, Tom. Stop lying. Just you're being dishonest. You're being dishonest, Tom. I'm being honest. No, you're not. You're projecting onto all of America because you believe that these people should have won. You're happy they won. And you want to now say you speak for all of the country. I think Hakeem Jeffries and all these guys. Another point. This is called, Tom, that's called what you're doing. That's called shotgunning or gish galloping. You're just like boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. So this way you don't have to deal with the specifics. You don't have to defend your claims. You're making assertions that are not true. And when I try to challenge you, you're like, I want to go into this other thing. Yeah, because you're just spouting a bunch of crap. That's what you're doing. We'll jump over here and chat with Carlos. Hello, Carlos. Welcome to the show. Hey, sir. Hey, you know, I'm a mid-level business owner, and I see at least 30% of the revenue I bring into my home. It goes right out to taxes. And you see that, you know, these Democratic socialists, they want to take away from guys like me. But do you see also the people that don't have you know, these guys that are bartenders, waiters, retail, whatever they work, like, they can't afford anything. And do you kind of see the reason that they want to potentially switch over to an alternative form of government? Because what we've got right now, they are really taking it to us. And that's all I got, and I thank you. Yeah, all right, Carlos, I appreciate the call. We've talked about this topic A lot over the last year. This is, you know, it's much like the election. There are different factors. For example, if you come to me and tell me that you cannot make ends meet, you have no money despite working a full-time job or multiple jobs, what are you spending your money on? I need to look at your budget. And there are actual programs. Caleb Hammer does one of these. And it's basically the same show. He's got a podcast, a YouTube show, and he's a financial advisor guy. And everybody he brings in, and a lot of them are young people, and they say they don't have any money. And so he goes through their bank accounts. He goes through their statements. And he's just slashing them. Like, this is garbage. He's not saying garbage. BS, BS, BS, BS. Just write down all of the money going out the door for all of these different things. And you say you don't have any money. What are you actually spending your money on, right? And when it comes to affordability, I've been saying this for years, the answer is not more of the thing that made stuff unaffordable. The things that are most unaffordable are the things, are the industries, the services where GovCo is involved. Housing, The price of a house has about $ 130, 000 to $ 150, 000 of cost built in based on regulation. What else? Housing, education, healthcare. All three of these things, heavily regulated government, heavily involved government. That's what drives up the cost. This is not a, this, we do not have free markets on, in these sectors. And it's borne out by the pricing. People complained about the price of eggs. You had an avian flu. You had the slaughtering of, of chicken flocks, herds, right? You had that going on. Beef. You had the problems out West and on the Mexican border and all that with the, Was it a parasite or something? Remember, there was some sort of a bug that was infecting cattle out west. You had droughts where they didn't have the farmland or the grassland to graze on. So there are all sorts of factors involved with all of these different things. And then, of course, you had the inflationary period four years ago, five years ago. And those prices don't come back down. It just takes time for the salaries to increase, for the inflation to work its way through to the salaries, which, by the way, have been going up. They have been going up. Usually, by the time Congress starts doing things to address economic downturns, historically speaking, the downturn is over. That's how you know the downturn is actually over, is when Congress actually does something to address the downturn, and then they usually just end up spending more money. And listening to NPR today on the way in, they were positively giddy at the amount of taxes and corporations that they were going to hit. Like that's what they're licking their chops. They're like, we are going to be soaking the rich. This is what they want. And by the way, on the exit polling as well, your opinion of, yeah, is your opinion of capitalism Strongly or somewhat favorable, 56%. Strongly or somewhat unfavorable, 32%. And of that 32%, 80% of them are Democrats. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
