[00:00:29] At 2 o'clock, we're going to talk to Sean Hendricks, one of the guys that helped in the hurricane and still is helping with the Hurricane Helene recovery effort. That's at 2 o'clock. So stay tuned for that or listen in on the podcast. You can get it at thepeekpod.com or on any of the podcasting platforms or wbt.com. I'm everywhere, okay? I'm kind of like the Mossad.

[00:00:52] All right. So, yeah, Iran got its Salami whacked last night. The Hossein Salami. No, that's his name. Yeah, he was the leader of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, General Hossein Salami.

[00:01:16] And Israel took him out. Israel also took out the Armed Forces Leader General Mohammed Bagheri. And Israel also took out the Revolutionary Guard's Ballistic Missile Program's Leader General Amir Ali Hajizada. I think is how you pronounce that. Pronounced that.

[00:01:44] And Israel also hit a whole bunch of military targets. They hit a bunch of nuclear targets. They hit air defense systems. They also whacked a bunch of nuclear scientists in highly targeted precision strikes using drones that they had infiltrated into Iran. God knows how long ago.

[00:02:12] By the way, have we passed that legislation yet to prevent China from buying up farmland all around our military bases? Because, you know, if they own all of that land, they could build drone farms there. I mean, I know they're just farms, like agricultural farms. But China owns the property all around these military bases. You know, they could be building bunkers with drones in them to then attack. Like this is you saw it in Ukraine.

[00:02:40] They did the exact same kind of op against Russia a couple weeks back. They did it with trucks. Iran was apparently getting ready to roll a series of attacks into Israel with trucks as well. I assume they would have drones on them. They've got a whole mess load of ballistic missiles that we are anticipating are going to get launched against Israel.

[00:03:04] They still haven't, but we anticipate it because Iran has officially, officially raised its red flag of revenge. They have a revenge flag. They hoisted that bad boy up on top of some government building to show that they are really, really angry.

[00:03:29] And that their military is a 100% capable of responding, which like that. Okay, that's not true. That can't be true because you guys just acknowledged that Israel took out like your military leadership. Like many of them, just like they took out Hezbollah's top leadership. Just like they took out Hamas's top leadership.

[00:03:57] So, yeah, I don't think you're at 100%. But then again, I don't believe anything the Iranians say. As a Gen Xer, I remember as a wee little lad, I remember the tie a yellow ribbon around the old oak tree. I remember we had ribbons on our trees and I asked why. It was because Iran had kidnapped a whole bunch of Americans.

[00:04:27] And they were holding them hostage. And so this was for the release of the hostages. I remember that as a kid. But I remember riding the bus and we would do, with our hands, we would do this little joke where you had your thumb and you would stick out your thumb and you would say, I walked. And then you'd put your thumb back in and then you'd raise your pointer and say, I jogged. And then you would put that finger back into your fist and then you would raise your middle finger and say, I ran. I walked. I jogged. I ran. Ha, ha, ha.

[00:04:56] I mean, this was the funniest thing to, you know, the third graders. But that's the generation I come from. Iran is a malevolent nation. It is a dictatorial, brutal, tyrannical, authoritarian, Islamist kleptocracy. Okay. It has always been thus.

[00:05:21] We know a friend of the family who was actually tried in absentia. Because he fled when the Shah fell. He fled. If he ever goes back to Iran, they will murder him. So he can't go back. He can never see his family again. The family that did get out had to sell everything that they own.

[00:05:49] Literally everything they own, they had to sell in order to pay their way out of Iran. So I approach this story with a particular bias. Fully acknowledge that. I fully acknowledge that. This is from the Associated Press. Israel attacked Iran early Friday in strikes that took out top military officers and hit nuclear missile sites, raising the potential for an all-out war. Not sure about that, but we shall see. Between the two bitter Middle East adversaries.

[00:06:19] It appeared to be the most significant attack Iran has faced since its 1980s war with Iraq. This is Michael Oren. He was on with Barry Weiss of the Free Press. Michael Oren is... Hang on a second. I have his official title. He's a former Israeli ambassador to the United States, former member of the Knesset, and a former deputy minister in the prime minister's office.

[00:06:48] And here he is with Barry Weiss. Every citizen in the state of Israel received an unprecedented message on our cell phones. We're used to being awakened at various hours of the night by Houthi missiles fired, usually at central Israel. But tonight there was a very faint siren followed by a buzzing on our cell phones and an announcement by the home front command of the IDF that we were to proceed immediately to our safe rooms or the nearest shelters, either a neighborhood shelter or even under a staircase.

[00:07:14] And the minute that happened, I turned to my wife, Tammy, and I said, okay, we've just attacked Iran. Never experienced anything like this. Ran in front of the TV. And, of course, we have attacked Iran. This attack, first of all, just in purely military terms, is utterly, utterly unprecedented. Multi-faceted, multi-targeted. It involves not just hundreds of Israeli warplanes, perhaps other capabilities. Israel has other capabilities other than warplanes.

[00:07:44] We have submarines. We have ballistic capabilities that I can't describe in too much detail. And we have forces on the ground, whether special forces, that's not been clear, but also agents of the Mossad and other Israeli branches of the security system who have taken out four leaders of the Iranian regime, including Hossein Salome, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards, the IRGC,

[00:08:12] who just yesterday pledged to destroy the state of Israel, targeted assassinations also of scientists who are targeting not just the leadership but the knowledge behind the Iranian nuclear program. And what we're not seeing, we see a lot of pictures of apartment houses on fire, and it's interesting that the hits on these apartments are very, very accurate. It's not the whole apartment building on fire. It's only certain apartments.

[00:08:37] But what we're not seeing is the damage being done to Iran's missile capability, it's arsenals, it's launchers, it's air defense radars, other services. You know, they have Russian S-300 systems. And what we're really not seeing is what's being done underground. Iran has heavily fortified, deeply embedded nuclear facilities at Fordow, at Natanz, and other sites,

[00:09:04] which contain thousands and thousands of centrifuges that have recently been enriching uranium to near fissile levels, 60%. That's a short distance between 60% and 90%. That's weapons grade. And Israel has now learned that Iran has not only amassed enough nuclear fissile material to make 9 and 10 nuclear weapons,

[00:09:31] but has also learned that Iran is making steps to weaponize this rich uranium. Purely for peaceful purposes. This is, they, look, they are not trying to get nuclear weapons, as they have been telling us for like decades now, right? They're just trying to enrich it to weapons grade status. That's all. That's it. We just, we just want a couple of nukes for civilian purposes

[00:10:00] while we chant death to Israel and death to America. See, I listen to what they say. And then I believe them when they say they want to annihilate all of the Jews and they want to then take on the great Satan America. I believe them. Their actions line up very well with those chants. All right. If you're listening to this show, you know, I try to keep up with all sorts of current events. And I know you do too. And you've probably heard me say, get your news from multiple sources. Why?

[00:10:29] Well, because it's how you detect media bias, which is why I've been so impressed with Ground News. It's an app and it's a website and it combines news from around the world in one place. So you can compare coverage and verify information. You can check it out at check.ground.news.com. Slash Pete. I put the link in the podcast description too. I started using Ground News a few months ago and more recently chose to work with them as an affiliate

[00:10:55] because it lets me see clearly how stories get covered and by whom. The Blind Spot feature shows you which stories get ignored by the left and the right. See for yourself. [00:11:24] Email is Pete at the PeteCalendorShow.com. And this is John Conricus. Conricus, I forget. But he's a former spokesman for the IDF. He was on Glenn Beck's show. Glenn Beck asks him about what level of coordination there was or knowledge between the White House and the Israelis based off of a report at Axios. So I was a little disappointed today.

[00:11:54] Two Israeli officials, that's all it said in this Axios article, that they said that President Trump was instrumental in all of this, etc., etc. But he and Benjamin Netanyahu were engaged in deception. And I read this as I don't think Israel would have done something this massive without the United States, you know, in their corner.

[00:12:18] But I don't think it's deceptive when the president says you have 60 days to negotiate and you don't want to see what happens on day 61. I don't think that's deceptive to make plans to go in on day 61. He kept giving them the same warning over and over again. Do you read that as deception or a negotiator that is telling you the truth? I think actually it's both.

[00:12:43] It's deception in the good way of how to wage war and how to catch your enemy unaware and unprepared. And that is what Israel did. Has the U.S. president been deceptive? No, I don't think so. I think he's been very straightforward, telling the Iranians time and time again, this is the best deal that you're going to get. You should relinquish all attempts to enrich material in Iran.

[00:13:11] And you should allow full comprehensive inspection of all of your sites, nuclear as well as weapons development. And if you do that, nothing bad is going to happen. And we will probably freeze sanctions and good things will happen to Iran. The Iranian leadership heard that but didn't do it. And as you said correctly, we are today on day 61 of the presidential ultimatum. And this is what happens. Yeah, that's at the Blaze TV.

[00:13:40] Yeah, get.blazetv.com. The president told them. And were we involved in it? I have no idea. Did we have some sort of knowledge ahead of time? I have no idea. Maybe, maybe not. Don't know. You know, people are going to start making all sorts of theories up about what level of knowledge we had and what it means.

[00:14:06] You're going to have people that are making the argument that, oh, see, this is Israel, you know, dragging America into the war based on an assumption that America wasn't aware of it. Trump wasn't aware of it. But Trump said 60 days. You got 60 days. Come to the table. We're going to try to work this out. And Iran gave him the middle finger. And now it's like, OK, well, Israel went ahead and did this on day 61. Americans didn't do it. Israel did it.

[00:14:34] Now, if you want, if you're the Iranian regime and you want to hit any of the American soldiers, bases, anything over in the Middle East, you come after American assets. I suspect your oil fields will burn. Minimum. That's what I suspect.

[00:14:53] I don't think, you know, Donald Trump may be a lot of things, but I don't think Donald Trump allows the Iranians to kill a bunch of U.S. service members without any kind of response. That's just me. I don't think Trump is that kind of a guy. In fact, I know Donald Trump is the kind of guy in his own words who says when he is wounded, he seeks to wound others in order to unwound himself.

[00:15:24] That's what he has said. That is the way he has sort of lived his life. That's why he he mixes it up with everybody all the time. So. I don't really see. And I know there are a lot of people that are. Oh, this is. There's a wedge driven between Israel and America. And this, you know, there are people that want that to happen. People that don't want that to happen. All of that.

[00:15:49] Look, I look at this and maybe I'm overly simplistic here, but I look at it as this was in Israel's best interest. I am not an Israeli. Okay. So whatever they decide to do with an existential threat that they have identified that is literally surrounding them. Iran has been surrounding them, their ring of fire, quote unquote, approach, you know, arming and funding and training up Hezbollah. Hamas.

[00:16:19] What's the other one? Something Jihad. I know I should probably limit that because there's a whole bunch of them named Jihad, but they've been surrounded. By these various militias and governments and such. And of course, now you get all of the, you know, Muslim world governments that are like, oh, Israel shouldn't have done this. We condemn it in the harshest terms.

[00:16:41] But they're like, please, you guys are pretty happy, too, that the Iranians do not have the bomb. Right? Come on. Like Saudi Arabia? Really? Okay, fine. There may be one country. Qatar. The one that's been funding a whole bunch of leftists and woke right influencers and such.

[00:17:05] Pouring millions and millions and millions of dollars into universities and stuff in order to shape policies and postures towards Hamas and fomenting and funding a lot of the tentifada stuff. They're not happy. Okay, sure. Okay, they may not be happy. But all of the other ones, they're going to be pretty okay. You realize what happens when Iran gets the bomb?

[00:17:32] Then every other one of these Middle Eastern countries have to get the bomb, too. It's pretty amazing that none of them actually have yet. The Israeli attack hit several sites, including their main nuclear enrichment facility at Natanz, where black smoke could be seen rising into the air. Oh, by the way, are we going to hear accusations that Israel is committing a genocide in Iran now from the usual suspects?

[00:18:01] Obviously, the Islamist leftist coalition that's out in the streets. I wonder how many Iranian flags we're going to see at the No Kings protests tomorrow. Yeah, we'll keep an eye on that. But also, not just that coalition on the left, but are we going to hear these accusations of genocide from guys like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, comic Dave Smith, right?

[00:18:31] The usual woke right crowd over there. Are we going to get this kind of stuff from them? Because all this time with Gaza, they've been saying, oh, it's genocide. It's genocide. It's disproportionate. They should be doing targeted raids. They should be just going after Hamas, going door to door, walking through the tunnels that are booby trapped and getting hundreds of thousands of IDF troops murdered in the process. They should do that to protect the Palestinian people that are being used as human shields by Hamas, right?

[00:19:01] OK, well, here's an operation that should seem to fit the bill. And what's the reaction been from the from the same characters on the right? Quote unquote, the right. Oh, they're outraged. They're outraged at this. It's almost like it's not really about the genocide. It's not really about the Palestinians. It's not really about the Iranians.

[00:19:28] It's almost as if it's about the Jews. Funny how it always seems to end up in that same place. You know, I'm sure it's just a coincidence. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina? Just a quick drive up the mountain and cabins of Asheville is your connection. [00:20:47] Or check out all there is to offer at cabinsofashville.com and make memories that'll last a lifetime. We're now getting reports of explosions at the Fordow nuclear site in Iran. I have not seen any reports on the color of the smoke emerging from Fordow. If it is black smoke, then I believe that means the College of Cardinals has elected a new Ayatollah.

[00:21:15] It's my understanding of the way that works. Dozens of IAF jets completed their first stage with strikes on dozens of military targets, according to the IDF, announcing a preemptive, precise, combined offensive to strike Iran's nuclear program. By the way, I see also they've got a chart now of the Iranian regime senior commanders, the top 11. Nine of them have been whacked.

[00:21:45] Nine out of 11. Nine, 11. Wait a minute. It was an inside job. No. Yeah, nine of them are dead. There are only two left, which means they're probably not long for this world either. But they will get a promotion before that happens, I suspect. The IDF reports that Iran is closer than ever to obtaining a nuclear weapon. Weapons of mass destruction in the hands of the Iranian regime are an existential threat to the state of Israel and to the wider world.

[00:22:15] The state of Israel has no choice but to fulfill the obligation to act in defense of its citizens and will continue to do so everywhere it is required to do so, as we have done in the past. Remember, they took out nuclear facilities in Syria years ago, decades ago. They took out the Osiric, Osiric, I think it was called, nuclear plant in Iraq. Remember that?

[00:22:40] Yeah, when your national ethos is we want to annihilate our next-door neighbor, your next-door neighbor is not going to allow you to obtain the weaponry that will allow you to do that. That's just really a good rule of thumb. As Rush Limbaugh would always say, the world is governed by the aggressive use of force. And while now we're seeing all these calls, we need to be able to talk this out.

[00:23:06] We should get together and do a peace deal and a ceasefire. Yeah, how about no? How about Israel is done messing around with Iran as the state sponsor of terror through all of their proxies, whether it's the Hutus, the Houthis, the WhoYus, whatever. They are done with it. They are done with you. And so they see this window when there's not a Democrat in the White House. They've got somebody like Trump that's going to back their play,

[00:23:34] and they're going to do what they need to do in their own national interest. And I'm fine with it. I am. Look, do I want there to be a war? No. What I would love to see is that the assassinations of all of these military leaders, there's an indication there that it's not just—

[00:24:00] I mean, think about how you would get the intel necessary to take out all of these nuclear scientists and these military leaders. How do you get that intel? You get it, yes, through like eavesdropping and all of the high-tech tactics and stuff, I'm sure. But you've got a lot of people in Iran that are not happy with their regime. And maybe this prompts another Iranian revolution.

[00:24:28] And this time, the people who are sick of living under these mullahs and their kleptocracy, maybe they finally rise up and now without military command structure and with the weaponry attacked and decimated, maybe now they stand a chance. That would be fantastic to see them do that. Donald Trump, he apparently called and spoke to Dana Bash from CNN

[00:24:59] who said that Trump told her that the Iranian hardliners in the nuclear talks that were going on with America, right, where Trump was trying to tell them we need a deal and he was telling Israel, don't do anything, I'm trying to work out a deal and all of this. Which, by the way, that could have been deception, right? Like, I'm giving you this opportunity. Do this deal. Hold off Israel. Hold off Israel. I'm trying to do a deal. I'm trying to do a deal.

[00:25:27] And Iran, their desire to kill Jews was too great. They needed the nuke. So they said, screw you to Trump. The clock ran out and Israel went in. And now Trump tells Dana Bash at CNN that the hardliners that were in those talks, they are now dead. And Dana Bash asks, quote, meaning Israel got them?

[00:25:54] And Trump responds, quote, well, they didn't die of COVID. And then he has this post out on Truth Social. I assume it's a truth or re-truth or whatever. I don't know. I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal. I told them in the strongest of words to just do it. But no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn't get it done.

[00:26:23] I told them it would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told that the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the world by far and that Israel has a lot of it with much more to come. And they know how to use it. Certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn't know what was about to happen. They are all dead now and it will only get worse. There has already been great death and destruction,

[00:26:52] but there is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end. Iran must make a deal before there is nothing left and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. No more death, no more destruction. Just do it before it is too late. God bless you all. God bless you all. He also had a comment here. I'm trying to find it. It's in one of the... I have it someplace, but he made some comment about, well,

[00:27:22] you know, a lot of the people that we were talking with, you know, they're not around anymore. You know, unfortunately for them, it's like... This guy, he just tells it like it is, you know? Iran says that the Israeli attack was a declaration of war, unlike all of their attacks on Israel. Like, it's one of the things... Iran is going to attempt to use the Hamas playbook here, okay?

[00:27:50] Just like the leftists use, which is provoke, provoke, provoke, and then when you get the backlash, when you get the reaction, then it's, oh my gosh, I'm being genocided, you know? And it only works if you have a compliant media. That's the only way this works. And so I'm watching now. I'm watching how the American press, the international press, is going to treat this.

[00:28:18] Because you could go after Israel for what it's been doing in Gaza because Hamas has hidden in the tunnels underneath all of the civilian population, right? They're like literally walking around with babies, like wrapped up all around them so you can't kill the Hamas fighter without killing a baby or two. I mean, not literally, but yes, pretty much literally, you know, using them as human shields. And so they've been criticized for that.

[00:28:45] The demand has been that you have to feed the population that is being used to shield your enemy, unlike any other military force ever. But this, this is a targeted precision attack, right? This only hit the top leadership and the top nuclear scientists that were working on the totally peaceful civilian purposes, weapons-grade uranium enrichment.

[00:29:13] They've also stockpiled a whole mess of ballistic missiles, which I'm sure they had no intention of using. All right. So spring is here, a time of renewal and celebrations. You got graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and the special days for mom and dad. Your family's making memories that are going to last a lifetime. But let me ask you, are all of those treasured moments from days gone by, are they hidden away on old VCR tapes, 8mm films, photos, slides? Are they preserved?

It's a Pete tweet from Matt, who says, note to self, never attend meetings with a lot of powerful people that Mossad dislikes. That's a very good rule to live by. Literally.

[00:30:42] An Israeli security force revealed that Mossad built a secret drone base inside Iran. Don't know when, but they did. Explosive drones launched from the base targeted ballistic missile launchers near Tehran, disrupting Iran's ability to retaliate as Israeli strikes began. In parallel, a Mossad commando unit deployed precision-guided weapons

[00:31:12] near key air defense systems in central Iran. Those systems were hit that cleared the path for Israeli jets. I saw video this morning of Israeli jets refueling midair over Iran, which is an utter Nakba, to use a term that the Palestinians love to use. The Nakba, the humiliation, is what that is.

[00:31:43] They say it means like, oh, it's this terrible event that happened, the tragedy, or whatever it is, that they were forced off their land. No, the Nakba was that they were humiliated by Jews who were second-class, lowly citizens, not even citizens to them. They were just looked down upon. And then they got their own country, and then we're going to take that country from you, and then you lost, humiliated by the lowly Jews.

[00:32:13] That's the real offense. It always has been. The Mossad, this is, by the way, from Emmanuel Fabian. He's with the Times of Israel. He's a military correspondent. The Mossad spy agency built a secret explosive drone base in Iran. The drones were used to strike the ballistic missile launchers at a base near Tehran, preventing Iran from firing projectiles at Israel as this morning's strikes began,

[00:32:43] which, by the way, we keep waiting to hear Iran's response. I mean, they're flying the red flag of revenge, after all, but so far, no revenge yet. I'm not aware of any reports that Iran has launched any response. And by the way, they may not be able to. I mean, for folks who may not remember, there's a guy named Baghdad Bob. That's what we all called him. This was the ridiculously dressed,

[00:33:11] and even more ridiculously sounding, spokesperson for Saddam Hussein's government, who was talking about how, you know, America was going to be defeated, and this was the Gulf War, 1991. And he's out there saying, you know, we have, this will be the mother of all wars, and America's going to meet its defeat, its graveyard is here, and blah, blah, blah. And you can see like bombs going off behind him.

[00:33:38] Like Baghdad is being leveled behind him on the live shot, and he's like, all is well. And he earned this nickname of Baghdad Bob. It's just so over the top. The lies, so over the top. And this is, see, it's what I keep saying too about like, the left in America, the left in America, and Democrats more generally,

[00:34:01] where they are never challenged on the things that they say by a press corps that treats them the same as the press treats the Republicans. And so what happens over time is you become intellectually flabby, flaccid, you might say. And they are unable to persuade because they don't know how to do it because they have never been forced to even try. So they never work out those mental muscles.

[00:34:31] Much the same way as Baghdad Bob. When you control the state media apparatus, literally, like in Iraq, whatever you said was, quote, the truth. And so you never had anybody push back on you. You could say the most outlandish, ridiculous things, and nobody pushes back on you. And then you get up in front of an international audience of people with skepticism, actual journalists, I know it was the 90s, but like,

[00:35:00] and they're listening to what you're saying about how, oh yeah, we have repelled the invaders. We are now moving into America or whatever. What's he was saying? And meanwhile, your city's on fire burning down behind you. Like, you know, we can see what's happening, right? Like, no, no, all is well. All is well. By the way, after striking an airport in Tabriz, the Israeli air force targeted a missile manufacturing plant in Shiraz. Shiraz, home of the wine.

[00:35:30] I'm just kidding. I don't think it's, I think it's a type of wine, but it can only be called Shiraz if it's from the Shiraz region of Iran, I think is how that works. Um, the Mossad spy agency revealed footage showing its actions against Iranian air defenses and ballistic missile launchers in Iran. Uh, the Mossad built this secret explosive drone base. The drones were used to strike the launchers. Um, also vehicles carrying weapon systems were smuggled into Iran.

[00:35:59] These systems, by the way, how do you feel about the border being open now? Down South in America? What do you think? Yeah. Weapon systems smuggled into Iran. These systems took out Iran's air defenses and gave Israeli planes air supremacy and freedom of action over Iran. A third covert effort involved Mossad commandos deploying precision missiles near anti-aircraft sites in central Iran. Um,

[00:36:29] the Ayatollah, who is still allowed to post on Twitter, um, with this crime, he says, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see. Hey, what's that sound? Hey, is that a missile coming at me? No, I'm kidding. He says, in view of the martyrdom of like all of these various people that have been assassinated. Um, he is now naming major general Sayyid Abd al-Rahim Mossadie for, uh,

[00:36:57] for the appointment to chief of staff of the armed forces. Apparently Mossadie owed the Ayatollah a whole bunch of money or something. Cause I don't know why you would take that post otherwise. Like, why would you give this guy this post? He's just going to get whacked next. Why would you take the post? I got to think that the Ayatollah does not like this Moussavi guy at all. All right. That'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
