[00:00:28] Thanks a lot for hanging out. I appreciate it. Hope you have a really great weekend if I forget to mention it, as I usually do before the end of the program. Ladies and gentlemen, though, we got him. Or her. Or they. I'm not really sure. We got the person. Ziz. I'm talking about Ziz. We got Ziz.

[00:00:53] Ziz. A.K.A. Jack Lasota. 34 years old. The head of the transgender vegan cult. Murderous, I would add. The murderous transgender vegan cult. Jack Ziz. Jack Ziz.

[00:01:12] Ziz. Lasota. 34. Arrested. Last weekend, along with Michelle Zacco. 33 years old. And another person named Daniel Blank. That's his name. It's not like omitted. It's actually blank. His name is blank. 26 years old.

[00:01:34] Apparently, the Maryland State Police picked him up. They face multiple charges, including trespassing, obstructing and hindering and possession of a handgun in a vehicle. Lasota was ordered held without bail at Allegheny District Court in Cumberland with prosecutors citing concerns that he was a flight risk and a danger to public safety.

[00:01:56] I mean, what? Just because the guy faked his own death in order to avoid being implicated in a murder in California doesn't does. That does not mean he's a flight risk. And just because he may have been the cult leader with the cult members murdering like four or five people. That does not. That doesn't mean he's a danger to public safety. Come on.

[00:02:24] Prosecutors said Lasota appears to be the leader of an extremist group known as Zizians, named after Ziz, that has been linked to multiple killings. The fringe group was brought into the limelight after followers were tied to the killing of a U.S. Border Patrol agent named David Milland near the Canadian border last month. Lasota's run ins with law enforcement. By the way, this is from Fox News.

[00:02:53] Lasota's run ins with law enforcement go back to at least 2022. Originally from Alaska, Lasota appeared to write extremist ideologies in a blog. The name of the blog was called Sin Seriously, which is actually a pretty good name for a blog. Sin Seriously, like sincere and seriously, but also kind of like sin. Like who were so bad, maybe? I don't know. Sin Seriously.

[00:03:23] It has since been archived. So I guess he hasn't been keeping up on his blogging since he got into the cult leadership racket. Lasota also identified as transgender and used female pronouns. Which is why I said we got him or her or they or whatever. I'm going to call him him because it's a dude. Okay? He is a dude. That is the truth. Whatever he thinks in his hemisphere, whichever hemisphere he's got going on,

[00:03:52] that's going to make sense here in a minute when I explain the ideology behind the Zizians. It's ridiculous, but I'll explain that. But he is a dude. Okay. So he had a post on this blog back in 2019 called Punching Evil. Lasota is believed to have written that there would be, quote, no moral obligation not to perform self-defense, which is a terribly written sentence.

[00:04:22] Like just state in the affirmative, make it clean. You know, there's no moral obligation not to perform self-defense. You have a moral obligation to perform self-defense is what he's saying. If the state has been seized by vampires, which does make sense. That actually does make sense.

[00:04:48] If the government has been taken over by vampires, first off, I think it's going to be very difficult to get a daytime appointment at the DMV. But also, then I think, yeah, you should probably engage in some self-defense there against the vampires. I recommend like the wooden stakes and such, lots of garlic. Sunlight's always good. In a November 19th post titled Good Group and Pasek's Doom,

[00:05:17] Lasota wrote that each hemisphere of your brain can have separate values. Values and even genders and that they often desire to kill each other. I must admit, I have not felt hemispherical civil war brewing in my own skull. You may have. That's fine. No judgment here. But I don't know what that feels like.

[00:05:45] But he had this cult philosophy laid out for his followers where each side of your brain has its own sort of personality, its own thoughts, its own gender identity, and it could be good or it could be bad. And then the other hemisphere, same deal. It could be good or it could be bad. And so a lot of people, most people, like everybody, they're either bad, bad or they're good, bad.

[00:06:16] Very few people, according to Ziz, have a good, good, dual good hemispheres. Luckily for the Zizians, he is one of them. He's one of the very, very, very few people that's got a good, good brain. And so they were like, we got to follow this guy because everybody else has got good, bad or bad, bad. And he's good, good. So he's telling us to murder people. So that must be good, good.

[00:06:44] See, it's all perfectly logical. In September 2022, you'll recall, and I've covered this story before because there was a connection to North Carolina up in Chapel Hill where a couple of the Zizians had set up camp. And by camp, I mean they're living in a box truck. Yeah, I'll get to that. But so they found them living in box trucks in Chapel Hill.

[00:07:09] So in September of 2022, there was a brief obituary that was published in Lesota's hometown newspaper, the Daily News Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska. The obituary said that Lesota was killed in a boating accident. The same boating accident, by the way, I should mention, where I lost all of my firearms. It was August 19, 2022.

[00:07:37] That's what the newspaper reported. Now, they never did find the body. It was just lost at sea. You know, it's the thing about boating accidents. You can't find the bodies, the guns, whatever. You can't find them. But Lesota's death was actually very short-lived. So his death died. See, because the Sonoma County District Attorney's Office informed the lawyer for Lesota,

[00:08:07] because Lesota had been in legal trouble. And so his lawyer was told that actually we found him alive and well at a crime scene. In November of 2022. So about three months later. Nobody knows why he faked his death. I'm thinking it had something to do with all the murdering of these other people. But like the 80-year-old Curtis Lind.

[00:08:34] This was the California guy, owned some land. And apparently the Zizians were at some point living on a tugboat. And there was a documentary actually made about this. And Curtis Lind is interviewed. And he tells this documentary filmmaker that they decided, the Zizians decided, that they wanted to move to my yard and buy moving vans, small moving vans,

[00:09:02] and then change them into places where they could live in the moving van, and nobody would know that they're in there. Which does not seem shady at all. Right? Well, this led to a dispute because it's Curtis Lind's land. And they're squatting on his land. And so he confronts them. And he is then attacked with a samurai sword.

[00:09:34] I did not realize this. He got run through with the sword. He was stabbed all the way through his body. Stuck to his back with about a foot of it sticking out in his front. It went all the way through his body. And his face got all cut up. He lost eyesight in one of his eyes.

[00:10:01] And then they went back and finished the job the day before Lind was going to testify against the Zizians that survived his self-defense. Because he shot and killed one of the attackers. Another one was wounded. They went to court. And he was this guy Maximilian something or other. And he was about to go down the river. And Lind was going to testify. But then they murdered him. They cut his throat. 83-year-old man.

[00:10:30] According to police reports, Ziz was cuffed at gunpoint. But was not charged at that time. Lind survived the initial attack. But then January 17th, this year, he was murdered. Maximilian Snyder and another Ziz member were arrested and charged with his murder, according to court records obtained by Fox 13 Seattle. All right, I hope you had a happy holiday season.

[00:11:00] But tell me if something like this happened at your house. Your family and friends are gathered around. Maybe y'all are in the living room. You're laughing, swapping stories, reminiscing. And then somebody says, Hey, Dad, remember those old VHS tapes? Did you ever get them transferred? And then the room gets all quiet. All eyes are on Dad, who says, Oh, you know, well, I've been meaning to, but I just haven't gotten around to it. Look, don't let those priceless memories sit in a box for another year.

[00:11:28] All right, Create A Video has been helping families in the Charlotte area preserve their history since 1997. Simply bring in your old camcorder tapes and Create A Video will transfer them to a USB flash drive for just $14.95 per tape. You have a big collection? They've got a discount for you. [00:11:57] conveniently located in Mint Hill, right off I-485, and online at createavideo.com. 704-570-1110. The email is pete at thepetecalendarshow.com. And let me get over to the phones and speak with Robert. Hello, Robert. Welcome to the show. How are you? Good afternoon, Pete. I'm doing well. Hope you are. I am. It's Friday. That is half the battle. Yes, sir. As usual, you're correct.

[00:12:24] This guy, Isaac, I've talked to him quite a few times, and he really has a bright future. He's polite. He's to the point. He's very knowledgeable. So I just want to... Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Hang on a second. He's all those things. Wait a minute. Are you talking about Isaac, the producer over here? Yes. This Isaac? Yeah, he's a 24-year-old prodigy. Are you related to Isaac?

[00:12:53] No, but I like him. Has he paid you? No, and I told him he's not getting paid enough, whatever he's getting paid there. You don't know that, actually. No, you really... I feel like he coached you to say these things. No, no, no. What he's done, he's allowed me to get on your show and to get on Brett's show quite a few times,

[00:13:22] and he's probably allowed me on more than most would. Yeah, and that's why we're going to have a long conversation after the show today. All right, Pete. I just... Just as an aside, I'm talking about these Zizians. I heard you talking about them before I saw them on the news, but I have seen them on the news here a little bit recently.

[00:13:44] But you talked about that triple negative sentence that the leader did. Pete, I'm kind of like you in a couple of ways. I'm a giver, and I'm also a wordsmith, and I feel like I'm a pretty good writer. I think my writing stands up to scrutiny pretty well most of the time. I could not write a triple negative sentence if I had 20 minutes.

[00:14:11] I don't think I can do it correctly. Well, to be fair, I think it's only a double. I'm looking at it right now. It says, no moral obligation not to perform self-defense if the state has been seized by vampires. All right, well, I thought there were three negatives in there. Yeah, no moral obligation not to perform self-defense.

[00:14:40] It's a very confusing and poorly constructed sentence. It sounds—this is one of those things you can't teach it, right? And you know this. You're a wordsmith. You either are or you're not. You either understand it or you're not. Things just sound wrong. When you hear them, it's like, that doesn't—I can't figure it out. It just doesn't sound right. So you just rewrite it. You wordsmith that thing, and you make it sound better. And this guy, these are the rantings of a broken mind.

[00:15:10] Well, he's a genius who writes awkwardly. Yeah. That could be it, too. I'm not so sure about that. The guy was living in box trucks, and he got caught for multiple murders. So, Robert, I appreciate the call, sir. Thank you. Hey, one more thing. Yeah. The Zizians, it's very, very similar to the word—pardon me—very similar to the word Niger.

[00:15:40] You better be careful how you say it. Ziz. Back to you. Okay, thank you, Robert. Zizians. Zizians. Zizians. Zizians. I don't actually know. Does he pronounce it Ziz? Ziz? That's possible. I mean, if he's, you know, if one side of his brain, his hemisphere is telling him it's Ziz, the other Ziz. How do you even determine a name at that point? Like, how do you know your gender?

[00:16:10] If you got two different hemispheres that are in conflict like that, I don't know. So, police said that shortly after 2.30 p.m. on February 16th, Ziz, Jack Lasota, was arrested and charged with trespassing, obstructing, and hindering, and having a firearm in a vehicle in Frostburg, Maryland. Zacco was in the car with him, was arrested on the same charges, as well as resisting arrest and having a handgun.

[00:16:36] Now, Zacco, that's on brand for her, who goes by him, but that's on brand for her because Zacco was the one who bought the firearm that was used, I think both of them actually, that was used in the murder of the Border Patrol agent up in Vermont. She had bought the guns. Zacco also had two parents, as most people do, but they turned up dead at their homes.

[00:17:04] And she was questioned, along with, I think, this fella, Daniel Blank, maybe? I forget. But she was, that was her parents. They were murdered, and they had questioned the cult members. Hey, mic open. They questioned the cult members at the time. So there were two bodies there. You had the landlord out in California.

[00:17:29] You've got the Border Patrol agent up in Vermont. These guys have left a trail of death everywhere they go. There is, in this piece at Fox News, they talk about how the cult operates. You got the component of the sexuality. Sexuality. You got the restrictive diet.

[00:17:57] No, I'm not saying that just being vegan will make you want to murder anybody. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that, although it's probably true. But I'm not saying that. But you got restrictive diet. You got sexuality. And what you're doing, and the, oh, sleep deprivation was also part of what they were doing. And that's behavior control. And you put those all together. Sexual identity, food restriction, sleep restriction, emotional restriction. And that's how the leader gets you. That's how Ziz got them. Or they.

[00:18:26] And now they got Ziz. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina, just a quick drive up the mountain. Or check out all there is to offer at cabinsofashville.com and make memories that'll last a lifetime. Yeah, that story of malicious compliance. Got a message from Russ on Twitter.

[00:19:49] The Park Service story strikes me as another malicious compliance tactic. No more DEI, we can't even mention the Tuskegee Airmen. You didn't vote for our latest boondoggle, well, we'll just have to cut police and fire services. The people who made these decisions to, quote, comply in these ways should be identified and then the first to be let go. This stuff just highlights waste and incompetence and makes more people feel like, screw it, fire every last one of them.

[00:20:19] Yeah. This is the problem. You're not winning hearts and minds, people, when you promote these types of stories and you let us know that you've hired a full-time locksmith for the Yosemite National Park to cover an area the size of Rhode Island. And he's telling us that he's the key master. He has all the keys, which I thought you had to have two different people, key master, key, but whatever.

[00:20:47] Like, he's got all the keys and nobody can access anything without him. He's critical. But he was seasonal last year. He would work four years at Yosemite as a seasonal employee. And then they brought him on as a full-timer and he was in the one-year, first-year probationary period and he got let go. And I'm supposed to believe now that this is going to cripple the entire park? Oh, no, we won't be able to unlock a bathroom when a guest or visitor locks themselves in or something?

[00:21:16] Like, don't you have keys? You don't know how to use the keys? How do you not know how to use keys? Maybe keep them someplace so everybody, like, can get access with a, you know, like a code or something. And then they can open a box and get the keys. Or maybe make a bunch of the keys. You could just run down to, like, the Walmart or something and they'll make keys for you. Then you have a bunch of the keys and you'll be able to access the bathrooms. See how that works? Good Lord.

[00:21:44] It's like, you're not proving your competence with this story. Anyway, I covered it in the first hour. You can go back and listen to the podcast, thepeatpod.com. Channel 9, WSOC-TV here in Charlotte. When I say that, anybody from Channel 9 who's listening, they probably get a little scared when I start off a story like that. Like, oh my God, what is he going to say about us? No, no, no. They have a story. I'm just quoting a story that you guys did.

[00:22:13] Channel 9 has learned that the man who was arrested for assault after allegedly spitting on a four-year-old at the South Park Mall should have never been there in the first place. Apparently, he was banned from the mall property. Do you want to take a guess for what? Well, it's actually not just one thing.

[00:22:40] He had done a vast array of things that had led to his banning. Yeah. The spitting incident happened about 4 p.m. earlier this month on a Sunday. So this would have been last or this past Sunday at a kid's play area. Police say Malik Shropshire spit in the face of a four-year-old child. Shropshire was already banned from the mall as well as a nearby business.

[00:23:10] But, as you know, if you've ever been to a mall, they don't card you. And there is no fencing around the mall, as they say. So it's not exactly, you know, gated access to get into the mall. But he wasn't supposed to be there. He has now been charged with assault on a child under 12, misdemeanor larceny, and second-degree trespassing. Now, you may want to sit down for this bit of information, okay?

[00:23:41] Shropshire has been arrested before. I know. It's true. Who could have seen it coming, right? He has been arrested at least 16 times in the last two and a half years, just in Mecklenburg County alone. Charges include contempt of court, larceny, stealing, breaking and entering, and more.

[00:24:08] I don't know what the more charge is, but it sounds pretty hefty. Meanwhile, speaking of dumbasses, deputies in Franklin County, North Carolina, according to a report at CBS17.com, WNCN, deputies in Franklin County are still looking for one suspect after a TikTok-inspired prank led to one person's arrest.

[00:24:34] An alert for Franklinton was issued on Thursday, earlier this month, a Thursday, this would have been two weeks ago, by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office about a male who was involved in the incidents. An unidentified male has been reported walking up two doors throughout the neighborhood, kicking them in and walking away. Franklin County Sheriff Kevin White said,

[00:25:03] do not attempt to engage with the individual. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to comply with that request, Sheriff. If you walk up to my door and you kick in my door, you're not going to be able to walk away. That's why I have the turrets. Motion activated, sound activated, very loud noise goes off or something in my front door.

[00:25:32] It's just, it's wide open. Some may say it's a little overboard. Some may say it's illegal. But, you know, it's how I am able to feel comfortable. Like, this is apparently one of those things that, you know, the Tide Pod eating generation has now started doing as well, because TikTok told me it was cool. Yeah, those are communists and they want you to get murdered at someone's front door. You're an idiot. Okay?

[00:26:02] The algorithm knows you're an idiot, and so it's giving you dumbassery to look at. And then you go around the neighborhood and you start kicking in doors thinking it's hilarious. And it's going to get you shot. Because somebody is going to not appreciate it. Or somebody is going to have turrets mounted at their front door. Friday, deputies reported one person has been caught.

[00:26:30] They were still looking for an additional suspect. And speaking of dumbassery, Democrats in California announced a proposal that would allow the victims of natural disasters and insurance companies to sue the oil industry. Why, Pete?

[00:26:54] Well, they can sue for damages based on their impact on the environment. See? Global warming. Sorry. Climate change. See, oil companies created all the climate change, and so you can sue the oil companies now. That's the purpose. State Senator Scott Weiner, who is a leftist nutball from San Francisco, unveiled the proposal at the state capitol

[00:27:23] alongside consumer protection and environmentalist groups. The bill is Senate Bill 222. It would allow those impacted by natural disasters, private insurance companies, as well as California state insurance program, known as the FAIR plan, to recoup losses. By the way, the FAIR plan is there because all the insurance carriers have fled the state. And so this was their effort to try to offer some insurance products

[00:27:53] because everyone is leaving because of their regulations, and the state is not allowing the insurers to raise rates because the state is not adequately preparing for the storms. At some point, guys, you realize you're the baddies, right? You do realize that. You're the baddies. You create the conditions

[00:28:19] that then create the disaster and the suffering, and then you direct everybody to go blame someone else and sue them, sue the oil companies. What do you think happens, by the way, to the oil companies? Do you think they stick around? Do you think oil companies are going to stick around in California? Or maybe they go to a state that will have better protections against, you know, dumbassery like this? Because this proposal only applies to oil companies

[00:28:49] that operate in the state of California. So, like, please leave our state, oil companies. I'm not sure how much clearer you can be to the oil industry in California. Scott Wiener. It's quite a Dickensian name, you know? All right. If you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events. And I know you do, too. And you probably heard me say, get your news from multiple sources.

[00:29:19] Why? Well, because it's how you detect media bias, which is why I've been so impressed with Ground News. It's an app, and it's a website, and it combines news from around the world in one place so you can compare coverage and verify information. You can check it out at check.ground.news.com I put the link in the podcast description, too. I started using Ground News a few months ago and more recently chose to work with them as an affiliate

[00:29:46] because it lets me see clearly how stories get covered and by whom. The Blindspot feature shows you which stories get ignored by the left and the right. See for yourself. Check.ground.news.com Subscribe through that link, and you'll get 15% off any subscription. I use the Vantage plan to get unlimited access to every feature. Your subscription then not only helps my podcast, but it also supports Ground News as they make the media landscape more transparent. All right.

[00:30:15] So this story, KCRA News, kcra.com, talking about this idea to allow California citizens and insurers and the state to sue oil companies that operate in California. Okay? The official bill, well, here it says, many victims of the Palisades and Eaton fires were on the state's insurance program called the FAIR plan

[00:30:42] because private insurers would no longer provide them with coverage. And again, that's because they couldn't afford it. The insurers told the state regulators, they were like, in the event of a catastrophe, we will be bankrupt. So we cannot write policies any longer unless you allow us to increase these rates because you're not prepared. You haven't been doing, like you're leaving reservoirs empty of water and stuff like that. Like your preparations are not good. We're in the business of risk assessment.

[00:31:11] We deem these to be very risky properties to ensure we need to raise the rates. And the state's like, you can't raise those rates. Like, all right, well, then we're out. We're out. We're not going to renew the policies. They go, you can't do that. You have to go out of business if a catastrophe occurs. Right? So this way everybody loses? Like every other policy holder then would not get paid? Like that's just stupid. The fair plan has been at risk of insolvency with a major disaster in California.

[00:31:41] And now they got one. And again, due to government policy. They had, the fair plan has about $5 billion in exposure. The vice chairman of the Senate's insurance committee said this furthers the false narrative that this is all about climate change. It is, of course, much more complicated than that. This guy's name is Roger Niello, Republican. He said the state's Democrat leaders

[00:32:10] underfunding forest management projects and LA leaders cutting funds from the fire department are to blame. So will Senator Weiner include the ability to sue those entities for their role in this too? No, of course not. Right? Of course not. It's different because Democrats. The Western States Petroleum Association president and CEO said the announcement of today's proposal is the latest installment of an ongoing effort to scapegoat our industry and the thousands of hardworking women and men

[00:32:39] who keep California running for political gain while complex problems continue to go unsolved. In a related story, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Dumb Bass, she is going to launch an investigation to find out exactly why she was allowed to travel to Ghana before the disaster. She's looking into it, everybody. So rest assured she's going to find out who allowed her to travel out of the country

[00:33:09] with the conditions being what they were. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast. So if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here. You can also become a patron at my Patreon page or go to thepetecalendorshow.com. Again, thank you so much for listening and don't break anything while I'm gone.
