So over the last decade, we have been told consistently that there's something that has never happened, cannot ever happen, and in the future, surely won't ever happen. And that is a discussion over individuals voting in elections across the United States that are not supposed to. And I use the word never very clearly in this instance, because I believe if I said, for example, I never fill in for Pete calendar, that would of course not be accurate as I am sitting here. right now on this very Friday filling in for Pete. So it would not be accurate for me to go on social media and proclaim. I never fill in for Pete count, right? The word never. I think we all understand what the definition of that word is. So over the last decade, we have constantly heard from those on the political left that there is never, An instance where individuals are illegally voting in the United States, and they were very clear for many years to use the word never to describe this. You were told that anybody that believed that, including yourself, you were just chasing down a crazy, wild conspiracy theory. that there was no evidence to back up these claims, that there's never been any evidence of voter fraud that exists within the United States of America. Now, of course, inherently, with hundreds of millions of people that are eligible to vote across the United States, that is an absurd statement to make. When you have literally hundreds of millions of people that vote in a presidential election, there's going to be at least one person, right? That does something that they're not supposed to. When you have a. Pool of people that big, it is inevitable that something will happen, but that didn't matter. And I would argue still doesn't matter to those on the political left, because we're told that this never happens. Keep track of that word. Never in this conversation. We have learned over just the last couple of days here in North Carolina that an additional 18, not one, not two, but an additional 18 non-citizens, including one person who was living in the United States illegally, have been charged with voting illegally in the 2024 general election here across the Tar Heel State. That doesn't seem to fit the definition of never, does it? By the way, since the beginning of this calendar year in 2026, 30 people have been indicted. Now, to be fair, not all of them have had their day in court. Not all of them have gone through the entirety of the United States judicial system to determine whether they are guilty or not of the charges that are being levied against them. However, a couple have, and we'll get into those details as we roll through this hour. But I would argue that 30 people being indicted just this year by federal grand juries for illegally voting in North Carolina is a greater number than never. And that's exactly what we have continued to see. And that's why it's so. Important to use the appropriate terms when describing a situation. And lo and behold, I've noticed over the last probably 12 to 24 months, over the last year or two, that Democrats have started changing their tune as it relates to this discussion over election integrity, as it relates to this discussion over individuals illegally voting in the United States. It is shifted from this is something that never happens to, well, it's not happening on a large enough scale. It's not happening in contests, in races where it really has any impact. So once again, the goalposts have moved. Something that never has happened and never will happen in the United States is just not large scale enough. something that is just not, it's just not big enough of an issue to cover, to worry about. Don't, don't, don't worry, ignore it. Just, it just kind of move on, buried under the rug, find something else to talk about because they had to change the way in which they described this situation. When you've got 30 people just in North Carolina that have been indicted this year, you can't use the word never anymore. So breaking down some of the details that we learned out of the federal courts this week, nine of the 18 individuals were charged in the Eastern District of North Carolina, five were charged in the Middle District of North Carolina, and four were charged in the Western District. The indictments allege that the defendants have voted in previous elections, listen to this, one as early. As the 2000 general election. Potentially voting every year or every two years in North Carolina for 25 years. But don't worry, folks. I'm just a crazy, radical conspiracy theorist because. This never happens. It's never happened before, and it will never happen in the future. 12 of the individuals were previously indicted in the Eastern District of North Carolina for illegally voting. That brings the statewide total to, as I already mentioned, 30 this year. And as I mentioned, an indictment is not a full-on process. You are indicted in the case of these charges. You're indicted by a grand jury and you get your day in court. But there are two recent examples just this year here in North Carolina where individuals have been indicted, have had their day in court, have had their ability to defend themselves and prove that the allegations of being made against them are not accurate and And in fact, those cases have not come to fruition for those individuals. And there's nobody better than a guy by the name of Dennis Bouchard, a Canadian national living in southeastern North Carolina between New Hanover and Pender counties is where he was registered at given times, was sentenced on June the 1st of this year to two months in federal prison and one year of supervised release after he pled guilty to federal charges of voting illegally in the state. That doesn't sound like the word never either. This guy, Canadian nationally, I think has been here since the 70s, right? Now, I'm not saying he's illegally in the United States, but he's not a U.S. citizen and therefore does not have the right, does not have the ability to vote. He's been here for like 50 some odd years. He pled guilty to illegally voting and illegally registering and then illegally voting here in North Carolina. And then another example, a guy by the name of James Osborne, another guy in southeastern North Carolina in Wilmington, falsely claimed on a voter registration form and ballot that he was eligible to vote. This guy, however, He was currently in the middle of serving a term of supervised relief, a release for possessing child pornography. And while you're still serving that term, he's a convicted felon, had not had his voting rights restored. He decided that he was going to register to vote, which he absolutely could. Not do legally. And then he went on to actually, in fact, vote. So these are two examples of the thing that we are told never happens in North Carolina. And these examples aren't from 20 or 30 years ago, folks. These examples are from just the last couple of months. We learned back just two and a half weeks ago that 10 more people were indicted in the Eastern District of North Carolina. And we learned just yesterday, October the 29th, that 18 more non-citizens had been indicted across the state of North Carolina. And so it is so fascinating to me. To watch this conversation on more of the national level start to unravel in front of my very eyes because the argument of something that could not and has not ever happened does in fact happen. Now we can have a debate and discussion over whether this is wide scale enough or not. We can have the legitimate discussion. How big of an impact is this having? But the long story short is this. People that did not have the right to vote nullified legal U.S. citizens and legal residents here in the state of North Carolina. And if that is happening even once across the state with more than 7 million registered voters, I don't really think there's much of a discussion or debate here. One is too many. I mean, I live in southeastern North Carolina. These two guys that were indicted by the feds, one of them pled guilty, served two months in federal prison. He voted in my community. He nullified my vote in southeastern North Carolina. Makes my blood boil. But you turn on MSNBC or whatever, whatever it's called, MSNOW, or CNN, and you're talking about that crazy, unverified conspiracy theory. How dare you partake in that? There's nothing here to look at. Meanwhile, it literally is happening. here in the state of North Carolina. I've got some interesting clips from a press conference back a couple of weeks ago from the Eastern District Attorney who laid out some of these charges back in the middle of October. We'll get into those details, plus some of your comments as well at 704-570-1079. Welcome back to the Pete Callener Show, Charlotte's FM News Talk, 107.9 FM, WBT 704-570-1079 is our studio hotline, so you can call or text to be part of the program. We're talking about a pretty big announcement, I would argue, across the state of North Carolina earlier this week as 18 individuals, 18 non-citizens, were indicted in both the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina, all 18 of them indicted by grand juries, federal grand juries, for illegally voting in the state. These individuals are, all of them but one, 17 out of the 18, are legal residents of the United States, but they are not legal U.S. Citizens. Therefore, they don't have the right to vote. Carol brings up a great point on our WBT text line driven by Kepper Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, the family store. She says, but you know the left is going to come back and say, well, it's only 18. That can't change anything in an election. So those 18 are the only ones that have been caught is what they forget. Well, not only that, Carol, that's a phenomenal point. But during the announcement, Russ Ferguson, who is the Western District Attorney, said this in a press release. In our most recent elections in North Carolina, that would be the 2025 municipal elections where we know voter turnout. is at most like 20 or 25%, very, very small turnout. This is what he said. There were 14 races across the state of North Carolina decided by two votes, 15 races decided by one vote, and seven races that were dead ties. And so anybody that will make the argument, anybody that will claim it's just 18 people, don't worry about it. It's not that big of a deal. Here's exhibit A. 14 municipal races. In the off years, you see your city council elections and things of that nature, maybe some school board races. 14 races decided by two votes, 15 decided by one, and seven races that ended in a tie. And you're going to tell me that 18 people voting isn't a big deal? We've seen statewide elections where you're talking about a handful of votes determining who wins. You had Chief Justice Paul Newby of the North Carolina Supreme Court win by, I think it was like 240 votes back just a couple of years ago statewide. There's seven plus million people registered to vote in North Carolina. There was something like almost over 4 million votes in just that contest alone. And it was literally a few hundred people that determined the outcome. But Carol, you make a great point and a very accurate point. I'll concede because that's always the argument. It was never. Remember what I said when we kicked off our number two of the program? It was originally this never happens. And because, of course, using the word never to describe something that inevitably will happen is incredibly stupid. They've had to change that to, well, it's just not widespread. The numbers just aren't big enough. And so I think the fair question to ask from this point forward is, well, how many illegal votes is enough? I mean, that's kind of the position that I'm in at this point. We were told it never happens. Now we're told it's not widespread enough. What number is too many? Can somebody tell me what is a large enough number of people illegally voting in North Carolina elections to describe a situation. Where it's appropriate? is 30? That's who's been indicted so far this year. 30 people have been indicted this year. Is that number big enough? Does it have to be 100? 500? What number does it have to reach before it is a legitimate conversation for those on the political left to take place in? I will contend that one single. Person not only here in North Carolina, but anywhere across the United States, nullifying the vote of a US citizen is one too many. There should be no leeway. There should be no looking the other way or burying under the carpet any sort of discussion of election fraud here in the United States of America. That is how serious this stuff is. You have the right, whether you were born in the United States of America or went through the process of becoming a US citizen in You have the right to vote. And that right is one that I believe is very sacred. And so when the political left argues and contends, ah, who cares? Only 18 people, only 30 people, not a big enough swing. Well, hey, how about all these elections that were close? Ah, nah. What else can we talk about? You're just peddling a conspiracy theory. Ah, that's what it is. So here is Ellis Boyle. the federal attorney from the Eastern District of North Carolina. This is from an October the 15th press conference where he laid out 10 indictments that have gotten us to this 30 thus far. Take a listen to what he had to say at that time. I am a citizen. I am a voter. You are citizens. You are voters. We are imbued with our sacred constitutional right to vote. secured by the blood of our patriotic forefathers and current service members who sacrifice blood, time, and family to safeguard this birthright. If a single non-citizen casts a ballot in an election meant solely for Americans, for American citizens, they steal your vote. They cancel it right out. Amen. That is real disenfranchisement, not this hollow hogwash you hear peddled by hucksters. This is the worst type of constitutional assault on our independence and liberty, the essence of what it means to be an American citizen. If we allow this assault on the fundamental bedrock of our republic, then the rest of our rights and law and society will collapse and crumble. We either protect the sanctity of one citizen, one vote, or we allow the destruction and hollowing out of America by non-citizens. It is wrong, it is antithetical to the law, and we will. Not tolerate it. That is exactly the kind of stuff I want to hear from a federal attorney here in North Carolina. That is the kind of fire and brimstone that is music to my ears. We should not put up with this at all. One vote is too many. We'll continue this conversation coming up here after our bottom of the hour news break. 704-570-1079 is our studio hotline. We're talking about a pretty big, what I would argue a major announcement. Out of North Carolina this week, 18 additional non-citizens have been indicted by a federal grand jury in the Eastern, Middle, and Western District of North Carolina for illegally voting in recent elections. That brings the statewide total this year, just this year in North Carolina, not over the last 20 or 30 years, but just since the beginning of 2026. That brings the number to 30 individuals that have been indicted. One guy by the name of Dennis Bouchard, who's lived in the United States since the 70s, served two months in federal prison starting back in June. He pled guilty to illegally voting. So anybody that tells you election fraud doesn't exist. Anybody that tells you election fraud has never happened and it can't ever happen moving forward, I guess you're just living in fantasy land. I mean, they're just living in a complete alternate reality and universe to the rest of us. And to really drive this point home, we have to go over to our WBT text line and hear from Jacob, who with this discussion, we're talking about 30 people that have been indicted by a federal grand jury. This is what he has to say. I hope you will talk about those ICE agents who have been indicted for striking an innocent man in Houston, Texas, if it's not too painful to bring up on the radio, because you Republicans are always covering up your mess. Shameful. Thanks, Jacob. Appreciate you keeping it on topic. See, you bring up the thing that they told you could never happen, right? Election fraud. People voting illegally across the United States. And immediately we have to pivot to something else. Oh, but what about those ICE agents in Houston, Texas? I don't know. I don't live in Houston, Texas. I'm talking about 30 individuals here in the state of North Carolina that have been indicted by a grand jury. Johnny comes in on our WBT text line. The Democrats don't care. You're absolutely right. A hundred percent. And it's why words matter. And when you go on national television for 10 years and claim that election fraud can't happen, there's never been any evidence of it. You're just a crazy radical right-wing conspiracy theorist sitting over in the corner with your tinfoil hat. And then it comes true. You look like a clown. And that's exactly where the Democrat Party is right now. Let's jump on over to our WBT hotline. Tom is hanging on line one. Tom, you're on the Pete Callender Show with Nick Craig. Go ahead. Hey, Nick. Good to hear from you. Listen, this election fraud thing is not a Democratic or Republican thing. It's an American thing. and we don't want it on either side, but I think about. Well, hold on a second, Tom. I don't necessarily know that I agree with that. I think it's become a very partisan issue. I mean, I heard Roy Cooper on MSNOW last week claiming that Republicans are disenfranchising voters in the state of North Carolina while completely ignoring 30 people that have been indicted by federal grand juries. It's unfortunately, I tend to agree with your sentiment, but it has become incredibly political. Well, we don't—a true American don't want to make a political— but let me get to my point, and then I'll stop there and listen to your wonderful show. When you find a man that says, well, if you can just find me 11,000 votes, just 11,000, that's definitely political, and that's definitely Republican corruption. And they said, Mr. President, we can't do that. So we just got to keep in mind, man, we can't lean to the left or to the right, but we just got to be all good Americans and do the right thing. Thank you so much. Have a good one. Thanks for your call, Tom. Greatly appreciated. I would love to sit here and honestly tell you that I believed. that the vast majority of Americans, regardless of their political affinity or their political propensity, would agree with the statement that voter fraud is bad. But having watched all of this stuff play out in front of my very eyes over the last decade, I'd be. Lying to you if I made that statement. I would be lying to you if I said that this hasn't become a hyper-partisan issue. Just before the break, we were hearing from Ellis Boyle, the U.S. attorney from the Eastern District of North Carolina, and he brought up something very important, and it's something that we heard echoed in just the last week by the former Democrat governor, now turned Senate candidate, Roy Cooper. He did like a 13-minute interview on MSNBC a couple of weeks ago, or MSNOW, excuse me, got to make sure I pronounce that correctly. He was on MSNOW a couple of weeks ago, And spent the entire interview talking about how Republicans are disenfranchising voters. That was the whole premise of his interview. Meanwhile, as we've seen here in North Carolina over the last two weeks, Democrat early voting totals are up like 60% compared to where they were in 2022. So anybody that argues disenfranchisement of voters is happening with the just insane numbers that Democrats have been able to run up during the early voting period is a liar. And I would put Roy Cooper in that category. But what you heard from Ellis Boyle is something that you will never hear on any of these left-wing news networks. And it's the fact that they want to talk about disenfranchisement when Republicans. Quote unquote, change the rules or Republicans, quote unquote. Make it harder to vote by, oh, I don't know, making sure that you verify who you are with a photo ID. And you remember what was going on in North Carolina and down in Georgia when these discussions of voter ID took place? I mean, you would have thought that the sky was literally falling based on the reaction of some of these people. Meanwhile, in every election since voter ID has existed in North Carolina and in Georgia, what have we consistently seen? Record turnout. More and more people each and every year, every two years, depending on the election cycle, showing up and voting. It is nothing more than complete and total deception by those on the political left. And then when you talk about actual disenfranchisement, right, which we have evidence of, like Dennis Bouchard, the 50-year Canadian national living in Wilmington, living in New Hanover and Pender counties, who pled guilty in federal court to illegally voting in multiple elections, there's no discussion of disenfranchisement at all. you will never see or hear in any of these left-wing publications that it has ever happened. So, but they, they will, they will run story after story. They will have guest after guest on their talking head shows about disenfranchisement at the hands of Republicans. And then when U.S. Citizens have their right to vote essentially stripped away and nullified by somebody, in many cases, that A, shouldn't even legally be in the country, or two, is a legal resident but not a U.S. citizen, mum is the word. Ladies and gentlemen. Mum is the word. They don't want to talk about it. They don't want to hear it. They're not interested in that conversation because that's actual legitimate disenfranchisement. When your vote is nullified by somebody that does not have that right, that lied on a voter application form, lied on a form when they showed up to vote and received their ballot and attested on a piece of paper that they have the right to cast a ballot in the United States of America, your right to vote was disenfranchised. But you'll never hear that from the likes and the ilks of people like Roy Koop. Never. You'll never, ever hear it. But the Republicans controlling the North Carolina State Board of Elections, oh my gosh. Meanwhile, there's been, what, almost 900,000 Democrats that have voted during the early voting period. They make up nearly 40% of every ballot cast. It's a complete and total deception and gaslighting by those on the political left. We'll get to some more of your comments, texts, and phone calls coming up at 704-570-1079. I'm Nick Craig, host of the Carolina Journal NewsHour and the Nick Craig Show, sitting in for Pete Callender. This afternoon, Charlotte's FM News Talk. 107.9 FM, WBT. Welcome back to the Pete Callender Show, Charlotte's FM News Talk, 107.9 FM, WBT 704-570-1079 is our studio hotline. That is where you can call or text. We're talking about a major announcement out of the Eastern, Western, and Middle District of North Carolina this week as they have announced that grand juries have come back with 18 more indictments against non-citizens voting illegally in North Carolina elections this That brings the count to 30 thus far, just in 2026 here in North Carolina. Let's head on over to our WBT text line. We've got a text coming in that says, no one on the left is saying that illegal votes never happen. That's just verifiably false. What are you talking about? I mean, for years, you have been told that if you make the claim that there is irregularities in our elections, that individuals might try and game the system to take advantage of very weak voting laws and regulations across the United States, that you're peddling in misinformation. What are you talking about? There's 100% evidence to back up the fact that for 10 plus years, we have heard that it never happens. The text goes on to say, we are saying that out of 100 counties, referring to North Carolina, and millions of voters in North Carolina, 30 votes, is it significant enough to swing any election? See, that's where this conversation just completely falls apart for me. You are justifying fraud in U.S. elections. And to answer your question as to whether or not this is enough to justify restrictions, the answer is yes. Remember, you, in the 2025 municipal elections, there were 14 races decided by two votes. There were 15 races decided by one single vote and seven races that ended in a tie. So yes, to answer. Your question, 30 people illegally voting in North Carolina, those are just the ones that have been indicted thus far. That is absolutely enough to change an election. That was just in the 2025 municipals. We found out this week from press releases from the eastern, western, and middle districts of North Carolina that one of these individuals has been voting in North Carolina since the year 2000. You're talking about 25 years worth of elections. Now, I don't know if this individual lived in a municipality or not, so maybe it was every other year. But regardless, you're justifying 30 illegal votes in North Carolina because it's not, quote unquote, significant enough to swing an election? It absolutely is. The math and the numbers are right here. This information is public. Go to the North Carolina State Board of Elections website, click on election results, and go to the 2025 municipal elections. You will find every single one of these races that were decided, in many cases, not even by handfuls of votes, one or two people. Seven races ended in a tie. It is completely beyond the realm to even be having this discussion. You have legitimate votes that are being canceled out here in North Carolina by individuals who attested illegally on voter registration forms and then would go on to show up to either an early voting location or show up on election day. You get a printout that verifies all of your information, your address, everything else that's on there, and you sign a line at the bottom of it. You hand it back to the computer operator, and then you get a ballot. That's the process here in North Carolina. Those individuals, this is not a case where somebody went to the DMV and the Department of Motor Vehicles accidentally registered them to vote. No, these are people that knew that they were non-citizens when they registered and then went on to actually vote. Right. One thing to just say, oh, the DMV screwed up, government screwed up, which, of course, we see happen all the time. And these people were accidentally registered, but they didn't actually they didn't actually vote. Now, every single one of these 30 people that have been indicted here in North Carolina since the beginning of the calendar year, all of them actually voted. This is not the case of a government screw up. Or somebody not understanding or fully wrapping their head around what a voter registration form looked like. They were confused. Man, so confused that they filled out a form, attested that they were a legal U.S. citizen, and then went on to vote. I'm sorry, but you're never going to find me in a position where I'm going to agree with that. You're never going to find me in the headspace arguing and making the point that this is something that you can just accidentally do. How do you accidentally register to vote? And then how do you accidentally actually vote during either early voting or on election day? It makes absolutely no sense. This is why words are important. And when you claim something can never happen and that it's just a crazy goose chase and a crazy wild conspiracy theory, and then it comes to reality, you look like a complete moron.
