US Senate votes for 'the largest expansion of the welfare state since LBJ'

While admittedly not quite as important as canceling Mr. Potato Head, the US Senate passed a $1.9 trillion "COVID relief" bill that represents the largest expansion of the American welfare state since President Lyndon Johnson's Great Society. As predicted, the Democrats are running as far left as fast as they can now they have control of the House, Senate, and Presidency.
