The President is now making his announcement from the Oval Office. Let's listen in live. If we can. Athlete's the best athletes in the world to the cultural center of our nation's capital. I just left the Kennedy Center. We're spending a lot of money wisely on making it really beautiful. It's going to be beautiful again. It's like Washington, d C. We had. By the way, in Washington, DC, we have the lowest crime numbers they've had in years. Zero. It sounds like it's a horrible thing to say, but I might as well say zero murders in the last week since we've done this. That's the first time in memory that that's happened. If you can believe it, how pathetic. That is enough to even say it. And I'm tired of listening to these people say how safe it was before we got here. It was unsafe. It was horrible, and Mayor Bowser better get her acts straight or she won't be there very long because we'll take it over with the federal government running like it's supposed to be run. The numbers were horrible. It was a crime infested rat hole, and they do have a lot of rats. We're getting rid of them too, and we've made a lot of progress. And it was extremely unsafe and now it's extremely safe. We had virtually no crime. The number was down eighty seven percent, and I'm trying to figure out where was the thirteen percent, because I don't think it existed. The National Guard has been unbelievable and they're working with the police and. They have some very good people in there. They have some people that shouldn't be police, actually, but they have some great people there. And the Washington d C is a whole different place, and Johnny, I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that too. Actually, yes, but it's a whole different place. People are excited again. They're going out to restaurants again, That was the other thing I saw in numbers that restaurant businesses. Down in the last week. I know restaurant business. You can't get into a restaurant just really lying people, And that's why people don't understand how bad. And how dishonest the press is. I saw one poll that had us set nineteen percent favorable on what we're doing with Washington. Then I saw another one as this ninety four percent favorable. And I can tell you the ninety four percent is correct. The others are fake, just faked. They got to get their act together. So bad for our country, so sick actually, so Washington, DC is really doing unbelievably well. And the Kennedy Senator where fixed. I was just there all morning with contractors. We're making it unbelieve. It's going to be unbelievable. It's got great bones, but it needs a lot of work. More gold. The World Control. Will set up the group stage of competition. Forty eight teams will play in one hundred and four games across sixteen North American cities, from Seattle to Vancouver to Atlanta to Miami. It's going to be so exciting for our country. What is this the twenty twenty. Six feet for World Cup will be one of the largest and most complex events. This will be one of the greatest events, one of the largest. In a way, it's like Johnny said it better, it's like having many super Bowls for a short period of time, because each one of these games essentially is a super Bowl. Some of them are bigger than super Bowls actually, but they're essentially each one of these games is like a super Bowl. The twenty twenty six for World Cup will be the largest, most complex set of events in sports history, and the Kennedy Center will give it a phenomenal kickoff and will be involved, and they'll be working over there for quite a bit of time. We have it all set that they can stay there for the big events, the big press conferences and everything else, and they'll be in a very safe capital that'll be nice to You don't have to worry about walking down the street, Johney. Okay, but you could handle yourself, I quote. Already, FIFA is projecting six million loyal fans will attend the World Cup events next year, and six billion more are going to be watching back home. And they think the six billion dollar number is going to be actually a low number, and this will drive more than thirty billion dollars into the US economy and create one hundred and eighty five thousand American jobs in a short period of time. Too. No sporting event attracts more attention, more fans, more viewers, are more revenue. Than the FIFA World Cup. And again I'll just say, it's the World Cup, and it's the biggest thing there is in sports, and we have it, and I got it in my first administration. And I was really somewhat devastated, as devastated as I can be, I. Don't have time to get too devastated. I was very happy that today, as you saw. The group that does this, a government group, radical left group, announced that Trump was right tooking forty trillion dollars worth of tariffs, that the four trillion dollars are going to reduce the deficit by numbers far greater than they ever expected or heard them. And by the way, the stock market went up a thousand points. That was as of ten minutes ago. I can't tell you what happens. A lot of things happened, but the stock market's up almost a thousand points, and it's basically on the news. That the release. It just came out from government that the tariffs that everybody was talking about, that the whole world respects us for for the what we did. The tariffs are going to be at four trillion dollars. They're going to reduce the deficit by four trillion dollars. Mister Vice President wouldn't deserve it. Two minutes of five. It's had a huge impact and the stock market is way up. But this will drive more than thirty billion dollars in US economy. It created one hundred and eighty five thousand American jobs. No sporting event attracts more attention or more fans or anything else. And I just look forward to the draw. So we're going to have the draw, say actually, Johnny at the Kennedy Center, and by that time it'll be an even better shape. We're working on it. It'll take about a year project to make it. It'll be great. It'll be fantastic. You see the way this is looking nice. I can't tell you how much that gold costs a lot of money. There's nothing like gold, and there's nothing like solid gold. But this beautiful office needed it. It had to be representative. When we took it over. It was dirty, not clean. I immediately changed the chair and had this beautiful desk renovated and brought out by the White House people that do this. They did a great job. They said that we have a craftsman who's great, but this was not appropriate for the Oval Office. What I took over. And now you look at all those paintings, you're allowed to turn back. All of these are great presidents, and they were all in the vaults. They were in. Vaults for some cases much more than one hundred years, and now they're proudly hanging on the Oval Office walls. So I can't imagine anybody changed, but they were mured in vaults for over one hundred years of any of them. So it's very exciting. People come in. They really love it. So he is now talking about all of the gold that is in the Oval Office that people have been mocking online democrats and media. But I repeat myself when he had all of the European leaders come to town, and Zelenski and the Zelenski and Trump had that meeting again in the Oval Office and there's all this gold behind them. They got like you know, gold frames and like gold statues. The whole wall is just like covered with like all sorts of gold stuff, which I'm not sure people are aware of this or not, but Donald Trump loves him some gold plated stuff. Have you ever seen like literally anything he builds, right, he loves the gold. And of course to all of the lefties, they're like, oh, it's so tacky, which is kind of ironic because now have you noticed, like what the trend is. The brass is back, that gold look on like doorknobs and all that stuff. I'm not a fan. I prefer the the nickel brush nickel. I like the silver look. I don't like the gold look. But he likes the gold look. I've known this for ever since he came down the what golden escalator exactly. So this is not a surprise. So the big announcement the twenty twenty six FIFA World Cup coming to America, and now we know what he sold us out for with the Europeans, Now it all makes sense. Why would you bring soccer here? I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. No, it's a big deal. It is a big deal. It's like Americans, like we are notoriously you know, anti soccer, but they're becoming less anti soccer as we become infiltrated, you know, with all of these people from all over the world. But no, look, it is a huge sport. It will drive a lot of you know, tourism and economic impact and all of that stuff too. As long as every city that's going to host this thing isn't going to be, you know, going to the taxpayers to fund new Stadia, then I'm fine with it. I'm fine with it. We'll see. And you know what, it's part of America's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary too, so that's a pretty good it's a pretty good celebration. Twenty twenty six is gonna be lit. All right. If you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. Philip Wegman is a reporter for a White House reporter for Real Clear Politics, and he tweeted out about seventeen minutes ago that Mike Davis, a Trump confidant very much in the know, reacting to the raid on former National Security Advisor and former UN Ambassador John Bolton's home and office today said quote my prediction, Democrats, Rhinos and reporters who think this raid on John Bolton is about his book will be very embarrassed when the search warrant becomes public. Oh that doesn't sound good. I mean for Bolton, So anyway, we'll see what happens there. We also have I got a bunch of different stories here, so I'm gonna kind of plow through a lot of this stuff that I haven't gotten to this week because it's Friday, and Friday is it's when you dump all of the stuff that you couldn't get to in the week, as well as scandalous stuff. So this way people know it's like the Friday night dump that you do. It's a tried and true hack among media hacks and government hacks. So Federal Housing Finance Agency Director William Poulty has referred possible criminal activity involving Federal Reserve GOUVNA Lisa d. Cook to Attorney General Pam Bondi for investigation and action as appropriate. The accusation is that Lisa Dinell Cook falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, potentially committing mortgage fraud under the criminal Statute. I do have some audio. This was William Poulti appearing on CNBC the other day for a more for an interview. I think it's called squawk Box or something. I don't watch the NBC, but he did like a ten minute eleven minute interview with the host, and he says, first off, that he's just doing his job. We refer people every day criminally for mortgage fraud, and no one is above the law. And in this case, it happens to be a FED governor, and I have an obligation to do something about it. So when we received a tip, this is what we discovered. And it's very unfortunate because you know, a FED governor is supposed to understand economic harm of mortgage fraud. You know, the FED is written all about the economic harm of mortgage fraud, in particular occupancy fraud, and here she is allegedly committing mortgage fraud. So I think it's a big issue. I don't think it's going away. I think she will have to resign or I think she will be fired. Okay. Speaking to the allegations. We alleged that she bought a condo in July of twenty twenty one, and fourteen days before that, we alleged that she took out alone using a Fanny May and Freddie macform, stating that she had her primary residence in Michigan. Fourteen days later, as I said, she went and purchased in Atlanta condo. To make it worse, she then went on to eventually list the apartment and probably is renting it out. This is a very serious issue. It has necessarily nothing to do with the Fed Governor. It has everything to do with mortgage fraud in the United States, and if we see it, we're going to do something about it. Just on that point too, I'll say, we're also probing, and I would imagine that the Department of Justice will open an inquiry into this. I'm hopeful about that. But we're also probing some property that she has in Massachusetts to see if there's something there, But I don't have anything yet on that, and I only want to stick with what's in the criminal referral so far. All Right, So she claimed two primary residences in order to get better rates on a mortgage, and he says this is illegal for a reason. Yes, when you have a primary residence or a principal residence, it is essentially lower risk. And so what we do at both Fannie and Freddie and our member institutions who we buy loans from and we mandate from, is we want to understand the risk if you are living in your home, it is less likely that you will be foreclosed upon or not pay your payments in the event of a recession. We saw this in eight. In my view, many of this is what caused eight. You know, my family founded Poulti Homes. I grew up in that business. I saw the housing market crash. We cannot go back there. So it doesn't matter whether you're fed, governor cook or Joe blow on the street. If you commit mortgage fraud, we are going to report it. And this is no different. We do it every day. There you go one of the hosts, Carl Quintanilla, Quintinilla. He then steps in it a bit and Poulty immediately smacks him back on that. Is it common for these things not to get referred back to the OIG? I mean, how does it want end up on your desk, much less the social media account of the president? Well, what do you mean, how does it end up on my desk? I'm the regulator of Fanny and Freddy, and I'm the conservatory of Franny and Freddy. If it didn't end up on my desk, I wouldn't be doing my job, Carl. I mean's like asking how do news stories appear on your desk. That's your job. My job is to regulate these entities, Carl, and we have to make sure that we have a safe and sound market. And I'm not going to be intimidated by the media or politicians who don't want visibility into what's been going on behind closed doors. If somebody is claiming two primary residences, that is not appropriate, and we will refer it for criminal investigation. Yeah, he is doing his job. You don't get to claim two primary residences, especially when you're using that claim to get prefer preferential rates on your mortgage. And somebody in her position should know that. Strife writing over at RedState dot com. Since at least May twenty twenty two, Lisa Cook, who's on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, has been required to live in the Washington, DC metro area. Her exact date of moving to d C is unclear, but she was part of Joe Biden's Transition Agency Review Team as of November twenty twenty, and then was nominated for the Federal Reserve job in January of twenty twenty one. The Shenanigans started in the summer of twenty twenty one. June eighteenth, twenty twenty one, Cook took a fifteen year mortgage for a two hundred three thousand dollars home in ann Arbor, Michigan, which she said was to be her pl primary residence, and she promised to live there full time for at least one year. Fourteen days later, she takes out another mortgage for a condo in Atlanta's Above the four Seasons building. That mortgage five hundred and forty thousand dollars, and on that application again she stated that this would be her primary residence and she would live there for at least one year. Did she not know she just bought the other house two weeks ago. I don't know. I guess this is just this is something that I just cannot relate to because I have only owned a single home at any given time, you know, like generally I have tried to avoid owning two homes because then I would be in bankruptcy right, not being able to afford both mortgages for an extended period of time. Like I was sweating one time when we were selling one house buying another, and I was like, we don't want to get caught paying two mortgages, right, And if we have to do that, you can't do We couldn't do it for more than like a month, and in exchange we would like not eat, you know. So I don't know what it's like to be able to just go around buying multiple homes in different states within two weeks of each other. So that was in June of twenty twenty one. A year later, a little bit over a year later, September twenty twenty two, her condo in Atlanta that she listed as her primary residence and she would live in for one year. It was listed for rent, so that would be outside of the one year right. If she purchased that condo in June of twenty one, then September of twenty two she turns it into a rent unit. And so the idea there is that if she was claiming that as her primary residence, then she would have been outside of the one year window, and that would have been fine if it actually was her primary residence, which remember she is required to live in the Washington, DC area due to her appointment, and she got that appointment in May of twenty twenty two, so that would be May, June, July August, so like four or five months before she listed the Atlanta condo for rent, which means she wasn't living there as her primary residence for like four or five months. I don't know what the truth on any of this is. I don't know where she was living because then there's also the property in Michigan that she took the mortgage out on in June of twenty one, as well. A review of her federal government financial disclosures for calendar years twenty twenty two and twenty twenty three indicate that she did not disclose any rental income tied to the Atlanta address, which if she rented it, she would be making an income and she would have to disclose that, and she did not disclose that. I wonder if the IRS is paying attention to this later on. This is oh here it is again. This is from strife at RedState dot com. You'll recall Lisa Cook was outed as having plagiarized her published quote unquote research. Cook is one of the world's most powerful economists. This is a quote from a news article about her confirmation. She taught economics at Harvard University and Michigan State University, and served on the Obama administration's Council of Economic Advisors. Despite her pedigree, questions have long persisted about her academic record. Her publication history is remarkably thin for a tenured professor, and her published work largely focuses on race activism rather than on rigorous quantitative economics. Her nomination to the FED required Vice President Kamala Harris to cast a tie breaking vote, which is very unusual. They usually get confirmed unanimously. In twenty twenty two, investigative journalist Christopher Brunette pointed out that despite billing herself as a macroeconomists, sorry, a macro economist, Cook never published a peer reviewed macroeconomics article and had misrepresented her publication history in her CV or her resume. In a series of academic papers spanning more than a decade. Cook appears to also have copied language from other scholars without proper quotation and duplicated her own work, and that of co authors in multiple academic journals without proper attribution. This is a fantastic nominee by Joe Biden. Huh. The FED has seven governors. One of those slots is currently vacant. So you got jer own Powell appointed by Trump. His term ends in twenty twenty eight. Philip Jefferson Biden appointee. His term goes through twenty thirty six. Michelle Bowman I believe the former congresswoman appointed by Trump. Her term goes through twenty thirty four. Christopher Waller trump appointment. His tenure goes through twenty thirty Lisa Cook, Her term expires in twenty thirty eight. Michael Barr Biden appointee through twenty thirty two. And then there's the vacancy. But there's a guy named Steven Moran who has been nominated but not yet confirmed. So why is this important? I will tell you in a moment. All right, you hear me talk a lot about incentives, right, Well, let's talk about incentive trips, the kind that companies offer employees to fire them up and reward their teams. If you own a business or you work somewhere that offers these incentive trips, first off, good for you, but also there is a custom app that's a game changer for these trips. It's called incentive Tripkit. Private group messaging, shared photos, you're itinerary, travel details, all built into a single, easy to use app. There's even a traveler locator so Carl from Accounting doesn't get left behind. The best part about incentive trip Kit it's totally private. No email captures, no sign ups, no cringe ads. It's simple, clean and secure, and when the trip is over, Incentive Tripkit turns those highlights into a profect storytelling video. So think about it. When you launch next year's incentive trip campaign, that video becomes your greatest motivator. Talk about a return on investment. Right, You got to check out incentive trip Kit for your business. Visit incentive tripkit dot com because great trips deserve even better returns from the text line driven by a liberty buick GMC. This from Danny. This mortgage fraud scheme is another example of the hypocrisy of political norms. Run them up in this country. The very people who should be held to an even higher standard than the general public because they are in positions of influence over that same general public want us to look the other way for them, but we'll use the bully pulpit to shame others doing the exact same thing. Yeah, this is the same thing that Letitia James got busted for after going after Trump for this mortgage stuff. She got for it, right. She went after Trump for lying on about loan that everybody was happy with that did. They did all their due diligence, there were no victims, government wasn't harmed, nobody was harmed. And that's what she went after Trump over. And then she's accused of doing the same thing that this woman Lisa Cook who's on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, that she's alleged to have done as well that Adam Schiff has also been alleged that he did the same thing, claiming multiple primary residences in order to get favorable mortgage rates. It's illegal, you can't do it, it's perjury. You're signing an affidavit, you're attesting to the veracity of your application claims. And what they're outrage what marilynd Moseby remember her out of Maryland. Was she the attorney general. I think she went after Trump too. It's like there's a pattern here people. Bill Poulti, who is the Federal Housing Finance Agency Director, he was on CNBC. I've got two more clips. He said that they make referrals to the Department of Justice for this kind of thing. They do this all the time. And I'll tell you one thing, Carl, you ask how it covers my desk, cross my desk. I think a lot of people look the other way when stuff would cross their desk. It doesn't matter who you are. If it comes across our desk and we see it, we're going to look at it. And when we open up a tip line, Carl, the floodgates opened. And I'm sorry to say for politicians, but politicians unfortunately sometimes think that they're above the law. And no one is above the law. And if we see politicians doing it, they're going to get treated just like everybody else. I mean, Carl, the DOJ often prosecutes people for this. Very crime precisely. But did you hear what he said there? When they opened up a tip line, it opened the floodgates. Because all of the stuff, this is all public information. This happens every day. He said, politicians and the elites are just shocked when it happens to them. If you commit a crime and you have a reasonable suspicion that somebody is committing a crime, that is cause. I mean, I don't know what cause is. If that's not caused. I mean, this lady, I don't understand how she can be in charge of setting interest rates for our country and here she is potentially lying on her applications to get better interest rates. Like, you know, we have a huge economy. Why are we letting somebody like this do this? She needs to explain herself, but unfortunately it's in black and white, and I don't think it's going away, And think, to be honest, I think she needs to resign quickly. In both cases with Schiff and Leticia James, they bought property, they certified it as their primary residence, they got the better loan terms, and in both cases they apparently lied. In Leticia James's case, the paper trail shows she deliberately lied. Now with this woman Lisa Cook on the Federal Reserve, why does this matter and why are people saying that this is you know, political retribution, authoritarian stuff? Whatever? Okay, First off, if the allegations are true, then it's not weaponization. It's not lawfair, it's not authoritarianism. It is enforcing the law right. And if it came in via tip on a tip line, they looked at it. Public documents show it. Then you refer to the DOJ. You don't get special treatment because you're on the federal Reserve. That's what the rule of law means. Now. One of the downstream effects of this, though, is that there's a vacancy that's about to be filled. You've got seven members on the board, and the board determines the interest rates, and Donald Trump has been saying he wants the interest rate to drop. Jerome Powell, who Trump appointed, has resisted this. And there was a vote at the last meeting and there were two votes to drop it and what four or four votes to keep it at its current level. Cook was one of the votes to keep it at its current level. If she gets removed, now you have another vacancy, which means you have two people on the board that want to drop the rate. You have two vacancies. Then that Trump makes those appointments, one of them is about to be confirmed. So if Trump gets another person on that board, he's got four votes to drop interest rates. And I just heard today driving in Jerome Powell now citing economic data, is open to cutting the interest rates. Chris, welcome to the show. Hello, Chris hey Man, Happy weekend. For you, Yes, sir, Yeah you too. Hey Hey. I was going to say, I mean, you know, you got three black women that are Democrats, and I'm wondering are they going to get the same treatment that Adam Shipp will get. That's a good question. I don't know if race plays any role in this, but you are. I never mentioned Lisa Cook's race, but she is a black female Democrat, as is Letitia James. Ed Moseley and Mo. Yeah. Oh, and if I may use your phraseology of Jim Zaki back to your first hour about Bolton. Yeah, unfortunately, my remote turn to Morning Joe today. Right, no, listen. It is hilarious how they were spinning the invasion of Bolton's house, right, you know, I think it was Stone. Didn't Roger Stone get yepo marched out of his house about six o'clock in the morning or his door busted down? He did? Indeed, And in fact, what an ABC reporter or CNN was there live streaming it the entire time they got tipped off that it was going to happen. Oh well, they said they were just driving to the neighborhood. Look what we found. Yeah, But the funny part about it is they were bringing legal people on here. Pete on their show talking about is this Donald Trump's retribution? You damn right? Retribution? Right? So if you asked that question, is this retribution or if you make the allegation, I think it's incumbent for you to say retribution for what? Yeah, right, Like, obviously he feels like he's been done dirty. What exactly would he be engaging in retribution against you for in the first place, Chris, it's a great point. I appreciate it. Thanks for the call. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
