I know I've been doing a lot of Israel iron coverage in the last you know, well today and yesterday. I know, but I kind of feel like it's important, Like I think everybody thinks this is important. I kind of feel like that. But uh, Trump gave him a two week notice, so I feel like in the next couple of days we'll it'll drift out of the news cycle except for some updates on you know, what's happening over there. But we got a two week window. We'll see what happens. Will the Iranians take them up on the two week window? Now? Just announced at a. White House press conference that Donald Trump said he will make a decision in two weeks. Within two weeks, he said so about whether or not to do anything, I'm not sure. So you know, to give time for negotiations or whatever. So I'm going to give them the two weeks, and in the meantime, you know, you got Israel is going to keep hammering away doing what they're doing. Iran has a decision to make, is to whether or not they're going they're going to keep fighting and just let the two weeks expire and take their chances. You've got the people of Iran, they got two weeks if they want to try to mobilize. I mentioned last hour that. Their UH state TV was hacked, taken over, and you know, UH messages were being sent out via their state TV to rise up against their uh, their tyrannical government. So we'll see if that happens. There are a lot of people in around that are not cool with their government, and they rose up before a couple of times. The biggest one was under Obama's tenure, and he just let them all twist, didn't didn't do anything to help them. So, and I'm not advocating we do right now, but maybe the ground is more fertile for them to make a change themselves. But that's going to be their call. So against this backdrop, we have the this argument between It was built as an interview, but it really wasn't it was. It was just an argument. It was a It was a fight between Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson and go if you want to hear more of this, I played. I focused more on this in the first hour, played a couple of clips in the second hour, and I've got just three more. Clips here to get through. But this to me. Crystallized really the problem inside magaworld Trump administration, and this this rift between what people call the woke right among the MAGA influencers, and people have been predicting this rift coming for a while with the woke right because and I've talked about this before. Any time you have a movement or a group of people that you know, win election, they win power, there are i will call it, I'll just say psychopaths, Okay, sociopaths, malignant narcissists. So they will glom onto that movement. They will. You see this by the way, in churches too, people who are uh you know, they want power, they want control, they want people to adore them. They will they will seek these positions of power and so they try to get close to power in order to elevate themselves and their own power, and in doing so, they will adopt whatever arguments need to be adopted. And that's why people on the left, and we've been talking about this for years, the victim mentality, the use of weaponized empathy. They use your empathy against you in order to get you to do what they want done, and a lot of it is about securing more control for them. So there's no reason why the same thing wouldn't happen on the right. People behave in these ways regardless of political affiliation or ideology. In fact, psychopaths don't really have any ideology. They'll just adopt whatever they need to adopt in order to gain power. So the problem here, to me crystallizes in this next exchange where Ted Cruz actually asks Tucker Carlson if he supports because he started talking about you know, you know, you're opposing Donald Trump and whatever, and Tucker's. Like, I love Donald Trump. That's my Tuckle Carlson impression. And so Cruz asked Carlson, well, do you have you supported any any military action that's been taken by Donald Trump? Ever, I would say it's really simple. I believe in self defense. That's why I keep firearms at home. I think it's morally justified to defend yourself, your family, your property, your nation, and so to the extent that you can deter a threat through violence, violence always being the least appealing choice, violence always being if I can finish, always being a tragedy, I think you can justify the use of violence and self defense. That that is my personal view, and that applies to me and to the country. That I would know. Those are my views. That's not an isolation his view. It's not any israel view. It's not anti Semitic view, with apologies, it is I think, a pretty common sense view. But my problem is that lawmakers in Washington are light on detail with these things, and they speak, as you do, entirely in moral terms. These people are bad, These people are. I'm not speaking entirely in moral terms, undest in killing people who are trying to kill us if we had that's different. He's exactly right by the way. He didn't say the Mullas are bad. He didn't speak in moral terms. He spoke in terms of Iran is trying to get a nuclear weapon that is a threat to US, Hence, according to Tucker's own standard, that would be morally justified. Or are you? Are you now? Because you told me that the government of Iran is presently trying to assassinate Donald Trump and then said the disputed there's literally no, Then why don't you say military action right now against Iran? We are engaged in military action right now. Why don't you Why don't you support offensive military action. We're bombing the crap out on Israelism, We're supporting them israel Is. So why shouldn't the US military defend its own president. I don't understand that. Look, now we should get those back to because you don't really believe it's true. That's why everyone nobody disputes it. Tucker on the Moon? What other conspiracy do you not believe? Was nine to eleven in Inside Job? I mean, like, what? So what I've asked you the names of these people? I don't I know it? Because the US military and the intelligence agencies have testified before Congress or peaple what did they say, Iran is trying to murder Donald Trump and as hired hitmen. Do I know the name of the hitmen? No? I'm sorry we do either, because we would apprehend them if we knew their names. Then why take it seriously enough to support killing the Iyatola in response to protect our president? But you don't. This doesn't make even make any sense, and you're calling me an isolationist. If I believed that was true, I would support military action against the government of Iran. Okay, that's interesting because there is literally kill our president all right. At a five hundred and third thirty five members of Congress. I am not aware of one who disputes that Iran is trying to murder Donald J. Trump. That's not even the loneius Democrat doesn't dispute that. So, so I don't you're saying if if you believed what, what is I think a. Fact that they are trying you think it's a fact? What is the fact exactly what they've hireded them in the United States? Yeah Americans. Yeah, he's not in a RAN, so they haven't hired hit the hitman an American. I don't know. I do. I'm telling you what And by the way, I'm not the CIA, I'm not I'm not the Department of Defense. I'm telling you what they have told us. I'm not disputing it. I'm merely saying we are. I'm not I'm saying the logic train has a massive hole in it. If you believe that's true, then you should by definition, support killing the people trying to kill our president. But you don't support that now, Tuckery. So I'm wondering what's going on here. So he's trying to goad. Cruise into saying we need to attack Iran, we need to drop a bomb on them, we need to do whatever on like, we need to get involved because they tried to kill Trump. But Cruise doesn't take the bait because Israel's already doing this right by the way, Tucker Carlson may not read the news, but in September twenty twenty four from Politico, the Iranian government ordered an operative to assassinate Donald Trump before the twenty twenty four election, according to federal prosecutors in Manhattan, not exactly Trump territory, not exactly Maga territory or Maga country. As a juicy smolet candate. I have the guy's name too. They charged him with a murder for higher plot. His name is Farhad Shakerri. He's in Iran. He actually gave a statement to them. But this may surprise you. We don't have extradition agreements with Iran, so they're not sending him. Yeah. Oh, I've got the story. It's quick Google search, Tucker, and they've done more. Iran's done other things too. There was an entire write up just the other day by Jerry Dunlevy at justthnews dot com. All right, so spring is here a time of renewal and celebrations. Politico reported back in November that the Iranian government ordered an operative to assassinate Donald Trump. Prosecutors charged Farhad Shakeri with murder for hire and providing materials support to a foreign terrorist organization. He is believed to be in Iran and remains at large again. This was November. In addition to the plot to kill Trump, Shakerri and two other men, Carlyle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, were charged with a separate attempted murder for higher scheme targeting a US citizen of Iranian origin who has publicly opposed the Iranian government. According to a criminal complaint unsealed in Manhattan Federal Court, Shakerri said during an FBI interview that in September of twenty four he was directed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran to surveil and then kill Trump, whom the charging papers identified as Victim four. When Shakri told the Iranian Guard official that doing so would prove expensive, the official responded. Quote, money is not an issue. I don't know why. That sounded kind of Russian, but it was just, you know, on the fly. One month later, October seventh, last year, according to prosecutors, the IRGC ordered Shakerri to put forward a plan to assassinate Trump within one week, and if that proved to be impossible, then to pause the plan until after election day because the IRGC assumed Trump would lose, and if he lost, he'd be easier to kill. Sho Kerry is an Afghan national who immigrated to the US as a child. According to the complaint, he was deported in two thousand and eight after serving fourteen years in New York State prisons after a nineteen ninety four conviction for robbery. The complaint described Sho Kerry as having developed and used a network of criminal associates during his time in prison to quote supply the IRGC with operatives to conduct surveillance and assassinations of IRGC targets. That's who Carlisle Rivera and Jonathan Lodholt were In August last year, Brooklyn federal prosecutors charged the Pakistani man suspected of plotting on behalf of Iran to kill high ranking US politicians or officials, including perhaps Donald Trump. The man is accused of trying to hire hitmen to carry out the plot. Those are two that we know of. That we know of. And so when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked about two plots to assassinate Trump that originated out of Iran, and Tucker Carlson, in this argument with Ted Cruz says, are they I don't know. Anything about these things? We don't know, then why don't we just bomb them? And Cruz does not have all this information at his fingertips. But the idea that Carlson is advancing there is that Netanyahu is lying to us in order to get us to fight his war. That's the narrative from the Wolk right that Bibby wants Americans to die for Israel. That's what they've been saying. And because Carlson either actually is ignorant of this information or he's pretending to be ignorant of this information, he is now beating on Ted Cruz to try to goad him into advocating boots on the ground, direct offensive action against Iran. So if any world leader or government attempts to assassinate or even just tries to set up a plan to assassinate our president Carlson, I guess what he just said there. We're supposed to believe that Carlson thinks we need to invade that country and kill their leadership. Now, and Cruz explained this also that there has for a very long time been this sort of understanding that we don't whack each other's heads of state. Except the Russians, they don't really abide by that, but that's been sort of the deal. That's not to say that governments always followed that, but that's usually been the case. Right, that these world leaders are not assassinated by other governments. It's like a gentleman's gentlemanly agreement. Right. Trump has also been a target of Iran since January of twenty twenty, when as president, he ordered a drone strike that killed Kassan Solomani, then Iran's most powerful military general. So once again Cruz asks whether or not Tucker Carlson has ever supported any military action that Donald Trump has limited as they have been. And I listened to this thing twice. Carlson never answers. He never answers. He pivots to some other topic or question. He says he's about results, and then he turns it to the ISIS in Syria and you must be fine with that. You're fine with the ISIS leading Syria, and Cruz is like, I'm not fine with that. But that's sort of a wait and see kind of a thing, you know, Like we didn't take out Bashar al Assad. He fell on his own. He fell after Hesbala was decapitated by Israel. He had no support outside of Hesballah, and once they were decapitated, they rose up against him and he was out. That's not our fault. We didn't do that. Trump didn't do that. But somehow or another, because he gets deposed and some ISIS guy takes over and he's letting Israel fly over his airspace to take out the the Iranians, like we're taking away and see approach. But I guess Carlson wants us to go invade Syria or something. See what I mean? Like this, he's just he's. All over the place except he's very suspicious of Israel, like that's that's I just I cannot help but notice, all right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. I do have a bunch of emails I will get to, and some tweets I will get to. I want to play these last couple of clips though, from the Carlson Cruz argument, so Israel is taking out the threat of nuclear weapons. Ted Cruz challenges Tucker Carlson for you know, tell me you know, name me one military action that you supported Trump on, and then he said that Carlson attacked Donald Trump and called Trump complicit. That Carlson called Trump complicit in the war in the Israeli actions, I. Can tu, yes you have and and by the way, pained for Donald Trump. Yes, this is like after anti. Semitism, this is the last refuge. You're an antisemonin you hate Trump, Okay, I love Trump. I will read you put out a whole newsletter saying Trump rand in America first. And here's what Trump said in response. Well, considering that I'm the one that developed America first, and considering that the term wasn't used until I came along, I think I'm the one who decides that for those people who say they want peace, you can't have peace if Iran has a nuclear weapon. So for all of those wonderful people who don't want to do anything about Iran having a nuclear weapon, that's not peace. That was directed at you. Man. This is you got me busted. No, I'm just saying he did. Actually you are. He did get you. You are, and your little smirky dismissiveness about that does not negate that truth. He did. He said you attacked Donald Trump. You said no, I did, and I love Trump, I campaigned for him. But you also wrote in your newsletter that Trump abandoned America First, which prompted Trump to respond to you saying, I created America First. I'm you know, the America First guy. I'm the leader of this movement, not you, Tucker or any of these other Wolke Wright influencers. He didn't use the term wolk right, but and so Tucker was in fact busted and had no explanation for this. Okay, I'm my views. Look, I like Trump. I can't paign for Trump. I know Trump. I talked to him last night. Not against Trump, and you know that. I but you're against this football. I think that we should be very careful about entering into more foreign wars that don't help us when our country is dying. Is dying, all right, So there's another pivot. We should be very careful about entering into foreign wars. Again, Trump has not said we're going to war with Iran. He's not said that. He's he's supporting Israel in what it's doing. Through what words, but also. Replenishment of the munitions to shoot out of the sky the incoming Iranian missiles. So is that going to war? We're selling them the bombs or the the the arrows in David's sling and the iron dome thing, right, because they are running out because Iran is launching so many of these missiles over into Israel, killing Israeli's they're targeting residential sections of Israel. So that's what we have provided help. We are sending uh we sent a carrier into the area because because Israel is what is our ally right Again, I said in the very beginning of the program, I said, if you want to make an argument that Israel should not be our ally, well that's a different argument. But because we are allies, we are supporting them, but we are not We have not put boots on the ground, we have not flown any combat missions over Iran. We haven't done anything like that. Now that's going to be for Trump to decide whether or not we give them one of these bunker bustin bombs and the B two crew and the plane to fly over and actually do the bombing run. That's a that's the second level question. The first level question is is it in our interest to make sure that their weapons program is eliminated? Right, and Tucker lays out this false choice that we can only do one thing or the other. That's it. If you're if you're going to support Israel in their fight against Iran, then that means you can't focus on, you know, cleaning up the streets in these left wing cities, and that's that's not that's not the choice. There are way more options available. People can do more than one thing, The government can do more than one thing. It's a false choice. I reject the line of argument that he's using. I want to stop a lunatic who wants to murder us from getting nuclear weapon could kill millions of Americans. You say, I can't see how that benefits American anyway. That is bizarre and by the way, isolationism. Your foreign policy is the foreign policy of Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama and. It doesn't work. Yeah, I'm a big leftist. This is so silly. And now I'm Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama. Okay, he didn't let me just see one less thing. So how is your foreign policy different from Jimmy cartersh that's what he said, seriously, please, but I mean I asked that question seriously. I don't even know what you're talking about, Jimmy Carter. So what century is this? I am? So he doesn't answer the question. Either he doesn't know Jimmy Carter's foreign policy, or he knows and he knows that his is very similar, which is exactly what Ted Cruz is saying. But he doesn't want that label, so he just O, it's just, oh my god, Okay, that's so silly. I'm not even going to answer it, which is an answer. The product of the last twenty five years watching carefully being involved in the periphery, and I see an unending string of foreign policy disasters that have impoverished in. Her unending string. An unending string, they would include Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and our inability to stop the Hoothies by the way in Yemen, which exposes us as we can I grieve over that. So these are failures you help preside over some of them as a member of the Senate. Of what failures for policy failures have I presided on? Well, we were unable to beat Russia in the war that you supported against Russia. The war against Russia. Yeah, Ted Cruz initially supported the first round of funding and then has opposed every round since. But he immediately then pivots to Russia, and then it goes off on the Russia Ukraine thing. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Just a quick drive up the mountain and Cabins of Asheville is your connection. I'm not going to read that one because I'm not following it. So doesn't make any sense taking out a person after losing elections, but taking out because this is on solomony that the Iranian said, will wait until after the election, he'll be easier to kill, and this person is saying it doesn't make any sense to take him out after the election. It does because it's in retribution for whacking Solomoni Amy in Wonderland says, Tucker just alienated the vast majority of his audience to pander to the lunatic fringe. I hope he enjoys his new found obscurity. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe maybe he did, maybe he didn't. I don't know what his audience, you know, looks like. Jim says, this is a peat meal. Jim says, why can't the US lease the B two stealth bomber to Israel? Israel puts its name on the plane, flies it with its pilot and crew. The US sells the bunk or buster bomb and devices to Israel. Done. There must be something more to it that prevents the US from doing this. Russia, China, et al sell their military devices to other countries all the time. Jim that that may be away. They go, I'm not sure they would let the Israelis fly the B two. I think that's something that our that our pilots need to fly, you know, but maybe they can. Maybe they taken Israeli pilot crew up with them, right they and then so they fly it over and then they have the Israelis like take the controls just for the bombing part. I don't know, but no, I suggested this, suggested this the other day, like, hey, can we loan them the thing? I like, yeah, we could lease it to them. Get some money from him. Dennis says, my voice impersonation of Tucker Chatsworth Carlson is excellent. Thank you, Dennis. This is from Mark. Tucker is sharp. I don't always agree with him, but he's logical and is well reasoned. Dude has done debates for decades, not just radio slash TV monologues. Okay, yeah, I don't know. I don't know if that's a dig at me or not. I think I'm pretty good at debates too. If that was a dig at me, I mean I'm not awesome at it. But as I said earlier in the first hour, if you hadn't if you didn't listen to the first hour, I pointed out that Cruz is better when he's got a clock or he's alone on a stage, and this was so this was not a good format for him. Part of that is his delivery as well. And he's a senator. He's been a senator for a long time, and you tend to start speaking in this Senate ease kind of delivery, like John F. Kerry who served in Vietnam. As I recall anyway, Number two, Mark says he knows the answer before he asks the questions. I totally agree with you on that. That's why they're all leading questions. And when he says I'm just asking questions, he's not just asking questions. He's trying to lead to a conclusion for the Gatcha and Cruz won't play the game, and that's why they started fighting. In the case of Cruz, he just wanted Cruz to state his view slash position of why we attack slash support Israel like anyone else. Cruz did say that again, the first order question is do we allow Israel or sorry, is it in our national interest to let Israel take out the nuclear program? I say yes, Ted Cruz said yes. Tucker Carlson, I guess, says no. I disagree. Ted Cruz made that perfectly clear. We are not attacking. We are supporting Israel because it is our ally and Iran is our enemy. Very clear. They've been our enemy for a very long time now. Maybe you don't want Iran to be our enemy, but they really don't like us. As I mentioned, they sent assassination teams into America to try to whack a number of people, including Donald Trump. Finally, Cruse is also in the neo con class liberty score of B. Not as bad as Lindsey Graham, but a lot of mouth. And so this is the irony. Ted Cruz voted against the Iraq War. He was or didn't vote against it. He opposed the Iraq War along with Donald Trump and Ran Paul they were the candidates in twenty fifteen. That's dead. They opposed the Iraq War. And now he's a neocon. But Carlson who supported the Iraq War and now says that was a mistake, he's not an eocon. My two cents, personally, I would lend them the bunk or busters and planes needed to fly them if needed, and let them cook. Right. Yeah, Like this seems to be the obvious answer that I keep getting is why don't we just let Israel borrow the plane in the bomb or just or rent it or sell it to them and let them do it. And maybe that's where this goes. I don't know. Bill says, I don't have Twitter, so it's not a pete tweet it's a peat meal. I know you've talked about it, but where are all the folks that need to be talking about Obama and Biden setting this up. Cruz did actually go in depth on that during this interview, specifically enabling the Iranians to be where they are, and has anybody asked Joe or Barack or their folks people what they think about all of this, by the way, or they are posed they want us to go back to the JCPOA. We need to rein reinstitute the deal with the Iranians because it works so well according to them. By the way, I listen to your podcast every morning on my walk to catch up on the pieces that I may have missed. Well, thank you, I appreciate that. Bill. We are available on all of the podcasting platforms, even the ones that aren't around anymore. Seth says, I wouldn't be surprised if the delay happening right now with Trump's stance is due to the thousands of Iranians that came across the border where the gate was welded open. The bill oh that Bill Malugin from Fox News found at the southern border, there will already sleeper sales here that they need to neutralize first. That's a very a that's a rational theory, right. We don't know who has come in. Tom Holman has talked about this. You have so many people that came across the border. We don't know. We don't know if there are sleeper cells. We have to assume there are. John wants to know if Tucker carl And graduated from the Michael Moore School of insinuation. Thomas says, let me go on record, I love your show, but don't always agree with you. That's totally fine, Tom. It may be eighty five percent to fifteen percent. I don't know if that's agree or disagree. But anyway, as you know, many in DC have changed their opinion slash appreciation of Trump. Power and money always has a way of changing things. But we know that Israel has a lot of influence with people like Cruise. See again, you don't know that Ted Cruz had these beliefs before he came to office. So to make that kind of assertion, show me where he changed his views. He didn't. He's always he came in with these views. Carlson may be asking the questions we need to ask before we go off blindly off to war. I don't think anybody's doing that. We seem to have time before we get involved. For twenty five years and billions of dollars, we have been hearing that Iran is working towards a let's ask questions. No, I'm saying, you can ask questions, but you can't. You can't ignore the answers when you ask them. And I went over this yesterday, the idea that like, oh, they've been saying that they're close to a nuke for twenty years. Yes, they have been, and the IAEA just centered them like two weeks ago. So the reason why they haven't achieved it yet is because Israel keeps knocking them out, but they keep making more and more progress, and so they saw their shot and they're taking it. That's the answer to your question. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
