I got an invitation and I accepted it, and I went down to Tiga k, South Carolina and went to the Moms for Liberty meeting. The York County chapter had their meeting and a speech by James Lindsay, author also as a self described troublemaker. We had him on the program actually last month. He writes a whole bunch of material about critical race theory, wokeism, communism. You can read and follow him at new discourses dot com. New discourses dot com. And so I took a couple of notes to pass along to you. He spoke for I want to stay between thirty to forty five minutes. Took some Q and A from the audience as well. Very it is a very good speech, good time. The big takeaways that I gleaned he talked about the two paths, and he has written about this and spoken about this since the murder of Charlie Kirk, who was his friend. He said that there are two paths, not two sides. There are two paths. He said, left and right matter, but they hide this from us. Path onevilization, path to Catharsis. And so if you follow the path of quote Catharsis, you give into whatever you think. You know, your anger is driving you to believe makes you feel good. And this is where I'm going to, you know, work out my anger and whatever your ideology is left or right, that radicalizes, that leads to destruction. That is, it may feel good in the moment, but it's not going to be in the long term. The other approach is civilization, and that was the path Charlie Kirk was on discussion, debate values, firm strength, anti radicalism, and anti revolution right, So that was the that was the sort of the top line. And he told a bunch of different stories and such, but he spent some time because there were a lot of kids there. There were a lot of middle schoolers and high schoolers there that had started up their own chapters of like Turning Point USA and affiliated groups. And so he was trying to impress upon not just the young people there, but also you know a lot of the older people that were there as well, that what you see online is not what it appears to be, and particularly social media. And he has personal experience in this realm with foreign actors on social media swarming him, dog piling him. And when investigated, it turned out that I forget what the percentage was that he said, but they were mainly from They were like literal neo Nazis, Nazis, and they were coming out of Russia that were dog piling him on stuff. Foreign actors and the main culprits you got, you know, Pakistan, Russia, China, Iran. So there are these bot forms and there are actual photos and videos that I have seen that show how these operations work. And I mentioned this the other day when and he did too during his speech. Some there was a transatlantic data cable that got cut. Do you remember that. It's like, I don't know, three weeks ago or so two or three weeks ago, and the amount of so called right wing influenzer accounts just went dark, and like, that's a tell, you know. And so particularly with social media. And I have seen this too, because I got on Twitter back in two thousand and nine, and I have seen this change gradually, but it has really picked up in the last five years or so. I think he said he got dog piled back in I think he said it was like twenty seventeen twenty eighteen timeframe. And the point is not really an ideological support or attack against people of like minds. That's not the point. The point is to sow chaos, right, because foreign adversaries cannot defeat America militarily, and so they are engaging in a different kind of warfare. And what he called social media, he says, it's not real. It is manipulative, and you need to view it when you go on to social media, you need to view it as a hostile political warfare battle space. And we have mocked the woke left for how it has completely and it has I mean, just look at the Democrat Party today. Look at how it has just utterly splintered up the Democrat Party right, and it's led them off this cliff. But don't think for a moment that it can't happen to you because you have beliefs also, right, You have ideas, and you may think that that makes you immune to it, but it does not, because they will use those beliefs that you do care about. They will use those against you as well, and they are doing so on the quote woke right as well. So I thought that was good advice. Always keep in mind social media is not real, Like you're in an argument with a literal robot, a robot, and they just juice the stats with the like buttons, the retweet buttons and such, and if you are, particularly if you're an influencer, and this is something I've tried to guard against for myself as well, which is you can't go chasing the clicks for the dopamine hits. You can't chase the likes because it will break your brain. Right, it will give you a feedback that is incorrect, especially if you start getting all of these retweets and retweets and retweets or likes I don't know, or shares or whatever, and you're getting all of this stuff and it's basically a bot farm from Pakistan and they're just elevating that post that you made, but not this other post, and the posts that it is elevating are the ones that are more radical, which then gives you the sick No, I got to be more radical, So you keep doing more of that. And that's the point of the political warfare. It's to make people more radical. And then when you go too far, when you fully embrace whatever the most radical extreme of the you know the positions you're taking, now you will be you will have that stench on you for the rest of your life. And now they've removed you from the battlefield. He also pointed out that the Internet, the whole Internet, we are pretty new into this experiment. You know, about twenty years probably now, I want to say maybe twenty five years. Social media younger than that. We are running a mass experiment. I've talked about this before. But what he said last night, James Lindsay said last night, he says the Internet is the biggest cold creation platform in human history. And I think he's right. I think it's I think that is true. And he walked through kind of like the attributes of a cult. What makes a cult a cult? And you get these these cult like followings around one particular person, and you cut off all family relationships. Right, No dissenting opinions are allowed. Schools should have been the stop gap, but they failed, particularly on the trans issues. They failed because they've also been corrupted. Anyway, those were the big takeaways that I found from his appearance last night. Again, it was the Moms for Liberty York County chapter. They held it down there in Tika k. I thought it was a very good event, very good presentation last night that he gave to and figured I would pass it along to you. Here's a great idea. Alrighty, So, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has now placed a professor on administrative leave, the professor Dwayne Dixon, sorry, doctor Dwyane Dixon. They have put him on administrative leave because apparently he is a member of a far left gun club. Okay, which is an interesting way to describe it. This is the story from the New York post so Chapel Hill UNC getting some national coverage for this guy. Here's their statement. The University of North Carolina has informed doctor Dwayne Dixon, a professor of Asian and Middle Eastern studies, that he has been placed on administrative leave, effective immediately, following recent reports and expressions of concern regarding alleged advocacy of politically motivated violence. Ah So, it's not simply belonging to a gun club, that's the issue. It's that the gun club and he apparently advocate politically motivated violence. That's the that to me would be that that's the nugget there of importance, you know. In a statement to Fox News Digital Monday afternoon, Vice Chancellor from Marketing and Communications Dean Stoyer said placing doctor Dixon on leave will allow the university to investigate these allegations in a manner that protects the integrity of its assessment. Depending upon the nature and the circumstances of this activity, the conduct could be grounds for dis plenary action up to end, including potential termination of employment. The total length of the administrative leave has not yet been determined. It's going to be basically, it depends on how long it's going to take them to thoroughly assess the allegations and investigate if needed. Then the university went on to say that we continue to reaffirm our commitment to rigorous debate, respectful engagement, and open dialogue in support of free speech. There is no place for or tolerance of inciting or extending sympathy toward violence of any kind within the UNC community. So who is this guy, Dwayne Dixon? Glad you asked. He is a self professed member of Redneck Revolt. Redneck Revolts Silver Valley Chapter. I don't know. Is Silver Valley some place around Chapel Hill. Is there a place called Silver Valley? That's the name of the chapter, Redneck Revolt Silver Valley Chapter. This is from their website. By the way, they have a website. It is a gun club that has been described by the Counter Extremism Project as a far left group that quote stands against capitalism and the concept of the nation state. The concept of the nation state, so there should be no borders, there should be no nation state, no America, and that would include also its symbols. What the gun club, the red Neck Revolt gun Club considers a nation state's symbols like police, prisons and courts. So just no law, no courts to adjudicate things. Just I guess the gun club members running around murdering people that they call fascists or something. I guess. In twenty seventeen, doctor Dixon rallied with other far left demonstrators up in Durham. This was according to the Herald Son. The rally was billed as an anti KKK event, despite the fact that there was no KKK there, but they went up there to rally against the Clan. Dixon was armed that day and is accused of helping to block public roadways. He was charged with having a weapon at a public assembly, which, by the way, you may not know this in North Carolina you are not allowed to take firearms with you to parades and such. You know why the Klan, Yes, So he was engaging in the very activities helped the Klan while protesting the Klan. So he was charged with having a weapon at this rally, as well as going armed to the terror of people, which were both misdemeanors. Those charges were eventually dropped because Durham, Dixon and several other members of Redneck Revolt were also present at the twenty seventeen Neo Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and he was there when that guy plowed his car into the BLM protesters, killing that woman, Heather Hire. Redneck Revolt, along with about a dozen right wing groups, were sued by the city of Charlottesville and private business owners. The groups were accused of breaking an anti paramilitary law, which prohibits falsely assuming the role of law enforcement. Redneck Revolt later entered into a consent decree with the city so they avoided trial. The group was represented by a high powered leftist New York City nonprofit called the National Lawyer's Guild. These guys represent all sorts of ANTIFA defendants. They described this suit as harassment and state repression of anti racist activists. But wait, there's more, all right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. So this unc Chapel Hill professor Dwayne Dixon a member proud member of the Redneck Revolt Silver Valley Chapter. He and other members of this left wing gun club got themselves charged. He got himself charged with having a weapon at a public demonstration in North Carolina back in twenty seventeen. Of course, he had those charges dropped because it was in Durham County and Durham loves themselves, their leftist protesters. He was then up in Charlottesville, Virginia for those marches and rallies and protests and such. He got sued along with other members of the Redneck Revolt. They entered into a consent decree with the city to avoid a trial, and then twenty eighteen, the next year, he was charged with simple assault stemming from unrest on the night that a Confederate monument, Silent SAM, was toppled by leftist rioters on UNC's campus. That charge was later dismissed as well, because Chapel Hill. See this is what happens. This is broken window policing. Right. You let this guy continue to behave in the way that he is behaving, and he suffers no repercussions, and so he keeps getting more and more bold, he keeps doing more and more things. There's no attempt to reign in this behavior to send a message this is unacceptable in the society. According to the Counter Extremism Project, Redneck Revolt is an offshoot of the John Brown Gun Club. Does that name ring a bell? John Brown, the famous abolitionist, led uh uh, an uprising of slaves against white landowners in America pre civil right around this before the Civil War. The John Brown Gun Club is connected at the hip to Antifa. So that's who this guy is and this organization. In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination, these were the folks that at Georgetown University posted a flyer celebrating the murder of Kirk and then also did some recruiting and what they said on their their flyer was the only political group that celebrates when Nazis die, talking about themselves like, so, if you're celebrating and you love the fact that Charlie Kirk was murdered, then you need to join our club. Then there's a QR code on the flyer, and when you use the QR code, it sends you to a page a website that says, quote, we are building a community that's done with ceremonial resistance and strongly worded letters. If you want to make a real change in your community, let us know below that is a call for violence. We are done with ceremonial resistance. So what's the opposite of ceremonial physical, violent resistance and no more strongly worded letters. In other words, shut up, right, that's the course they're taking is we are done talking. Now we're going to commit violence. That's the point. And that's what is occurring on the right as well. There are people now on the right that are saying, well, they're doing this, so we're going to do it too. And that is destruction. That is the destruction of America. So congratulations. If you are egging that on, you are part of the problem. You are going to destroy the civilization that people better than us built for two hundred and fifty years. The John Brown Gun Club has an extensive history of political violence. You may remember there was the attack on the ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas. Not the most recent one. This was one prior to the most recent one. I know, it's getting difficult to keep track of all of the leftist violence. This is the one where twelve people were charged. One of those longtime Antifa agitator Benjamin Song. He was identified as a member of the John Brown Gun Club, also William van Spraunson. He was killed by authorities in twenty nineteen when he tried to blow up an ICE detention center by igniting a propane tank and throwing molotov cocktails at the ICE building. A member of the John Brown Gun Club. He left behind a manifesto that said, quote just in case anybody was trying to figure out any kind of motive or political ideology that may have played a role, he said, quote I am Antifa, end quote, so we may never know the motive. And yes, he was hailed by fellow left wing agitators as a martyr and a hero of the movement. And this is why after the assassination of Kirk and people were celebrating it, and I talked about the permission structure that was being erected around this kind of violence. That's what the celebrating does when you give this I'm not saying he should have done it, but you're giving tacit approval to the actions. No, no, no, I said, I didn't think he should do it. But then you gave all these other explanations for why you understand why he did do it, which then creates the impression. Along with all of the people going yay, yay, he did it, it gives the impression the permission for other people to do it, because you know who is watching the celebrations, the next shooter, Yeah, the next murderer is watching the reaction. This is the preference cascade once again, right where one person's number. I've talked about this before. This is the work of a sociologist that was examining the riots in the sixties, talked about you know when you get people together in a crowd, and most people have a very high number that they have to hit, Like the number is how many people do I need to see committing an act of violence before I too will join in on the violence. Most people have a number that's pretty high, but some people have a number that's very, very low. These are your narcissistic sociopathic types, your dark tech trad personality types, psychopaths. Right, and they will pick up a brick, they will throw it through a window. And now somebody or a couple people whose number was one, now they see that and they engage in that behavior. Now people whose number was two now engage in that behavior. Except now which starts increasing exponentially, because as you get more as the as the numbers get higher, the more people's number gets hit, and it just replicates out. You ever see that chart in the vet's office, like how many kittens a stray cat will have if it's not fixed and it's like this pyramid that starts with like two cats and like six lines down it's like a billion cats or something. Yeah, that's how that spreads. That was the theory that he asserted. So Congressman Pat Harrigan went on to the Twitter machine and he praised the decision by UNC to put this professor on leave and investigate him. And then he got a response that is on brand unhinged by the North Carolina Democrat party chair Anderson Clayton, who was breezy. You know, stories are powerful. But then there's also October Fest News and Bruise, which is Wednesday, October nineteenth, or sorry, Wednesday, October twenty ninth, and tickets are at WBT dot com. That's probably what he was asking about. Actually, probably ask about the tickets versus the Facebook free event. That. Yeah, that does make more sense. Okay, then WBT dot com for all the details. WBT text line. Okay, I don't know. I don't know what that's about, Darryl. I just read that at the top ten billionaires in the world divided their money among everybody in the US, each person would receive about fifty two hundred dollars. Okay, that's interesting math I yeah, there's okay. Probably should have read that one before I went on. So this is from Congressman Pat Harrigan. He is from North Carolina. He filled where he won the seat that used to be held by Patrick McHenry. So unc he says, did the right thing putting this professor on leave. You can't have somebody in a classroom advocating armed political violence with a far left gun club. Harvard gave a Harvard gave him a platform to preach this revolutionary garbage, but then deleted the video when reporter came asking questions, this is why nobody trusts these universities. They platform the extremists, hide the evidence, then act shocked when Americans call them out. Okay, that's what Harrigan posted, which then prompted a response from Anderson Clayton, who is breezy. She is the chair of the North Carolina Democrat Party, and she famously has been on this statewide campaign, a rural campaign, to win back rural voters that the Democrats have so alienated. And the way she is going to do so is to hold lots of little grip and grins, little meet and greets in the rural communities where the three or four radical left wingers that reside in those counties turn out and shake her hand and talk about how terrible Trump is. Also, she's going to say y'all a lot and point out she is from Person County. Y'all. Also, she's gonna cuss a bunch. She loves cussing' as you will hear in this well, you will not hear me cuss. I will quote her, but delete the cuss word, the naughty word. So, in response to Pat Harrigan's tweet, she responds, Hey, folks, it's tell Pat Harrigan to shut the bleep up day. Hope you'll do it with me. And then my favorite part, she puts the little you know, that stupid thing that people do where they make the heart with their hands. You know, they put their hands together and they make this little heart. I'm trying to if you've never seen it, I'm trying to describe it. It's like if you take your right hand and you make like a backward C that's one half of the heart. Then you take your left hand and you make a see and then you connect them finger to finger, thumb to thumb, and that makes this heart. And so people like do this and they like put it up to other people like, oh I love you, peace and love everybody. Love, love love. So that's what she puts in her tweet after she says everybody, it's tell Pat Harrigan to shut the bleep up day. And then of course she gets a couple of the usual left wing moonbats on Twitter that troll the North Carolina Politics hashtag, gets them to say shut the bleep up Pat Harrigan, and then she likes those responses. Now she is getting dragged well deserved in most of the replies to her tweet, So there is hope. But this is the problem that the Democrat Party has. They don't know how to actually engage in a debate. It's just shut up, shut up, arey, that's it. Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, And they just put their hands over their ears, close their eyes, stamp their feet. Maybe shut up, stop talking. I don't want to engage you with your different idea. Just shut up. And of course the unspoken corollary there is so I can do what I want done. Shut up and take it, is what they're saying. Shut up and surrender. Shut up and stop disagreeing with our policy prescriptions. We know best. We're doing this stuff. We've been doing this stuff. We've been running the show. We've been in power. And now they're losing their grip on the cultural gates. They're losing their grip. They have taken so many positions that are the twenty percent side in an eighty twenty issue, and people are waking up and they're like, oh my gosh, these people are nuts, and they are more and more losing their grip, and the tighter they clench their fists, the more squeeze through their fingers, and so it's just shut up. And that's what we saw with Charlie Kirk, right. When you can't convince somebody to shut up, when they just won't shut up, well then I'm gonna shut you up. You made me do this. It's tell Pat Harrigan to shut the bleep up day. Because Harrigan said a professor at a public university should not be platformed by higher education when he is advocating armed political violence, and she's saying shut up. She can't even bring herself to acknowledge that, Yeah, you know what, that's too far. We shouldn't be advocating political violence. But because this person is of the left, she can't do it. She just can't do it. Harrogan responded, in today's increasingly violent political climate, North Carolinians deserve leaders who can debate without melting down, I don't know do we deserve that? Hmm? I don't know. Are we worthy of that kind of that kind of leadership nowadays? I'm I'm not sure. He goes on to say Governor Josh Stein and Roy Cooper should publicly denounce their party chairs comment and answer for why they think profanity and threats pass for politics. As an aside here, I will I will just answer. I'll take questions that the media will not ask for five hundred Alex Media is not going to ask Josh Stein about this. They're not going to ask Roy Cooper. They're not going to ask any other Democrat to play defend or disavow. The game is only to be played by reporters against Republicans. This has been the rule for a very long time. Rule number three, by the way, I believe it's rule number three in Pete's journalism ing rulebook never played defender disavow. These guys will never be asked about this. Hey, you know what the leader of your party, the chair of your party in the state that you have posed for pictures with, that you have engaged in political campaign events with, right, this person said this thing. Do you support this? Is this the proper response? Should she have said this? You can say, that's gotcha journalism. But they've been playing this game for a very long time. Harrigan goes on to say that attitude shows up everywhere. Democrats push cashless bail that unleashes violent offenders, then cover for the damage by hurling playground insults, families pay the price, and voters see through it. Anderson Clayton is the proof. When Democrats can't defend failure, they curse. When they can't win on the merits, they tell people to shut up. That's the playbook. And North Carolina is tired of it, So go ahead and throw your tantrums. We'll keep racking up wins. And then Brad not a congressman from North Carolina. He also then weighed on the Twitter fight as well, saying like, why are you attacking him? Would you have attacked him if he were some other demographic, you know, not a white Christian dude. Would you have attacked him like this? Would you have told him to shut up? Or you know, if he was an illegal alien? And then of course people start saying, shut up, bread nutt. They want him to shut up too, So everybody just shut up and stop debating us. That's the Democrat campaign platform. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
