The Piker problem & DSA hypotheticalism | Hour 2

This episode is presented by Create A Video – Brad Slager, a writer at Mediaite, joins me to talk about the silly and stupid effort to equate Nick Fuentes with Hasan Piker because the Left and the media (but I repeat myself) know how toxic Piker has become to the Democrat brand. Plus, the DSA has a problem with hypotheticals... aside from the hypotheticals they propose, of course.

I would like to welcome back to the program Brad Slager. He is a writer over at mediai dot com, where he drags media It's fantastic. Recently landed his new perch at media Brad. How are you, sir? Congrats on the new gig. Thank you very much. Pete. Yeah, this is week one for us. But I think I'm getting myself entrenched over there. I'm angering plenty with my takes on the media, but I guess that's to be expected. They said that was my christening, so I think it's going well. Never read the comments section, brand never read. I said that from day one. I told that I wouldn't be in there. But I'm getting reports from others, so they tell me it's going well in that regard. All right, well, let's talk about you've been cranking out the bangers since you've been there, So let's let's let's start with Nick Fuentes, the uh, the rock ribbed conservative that we all know he is, and Hassan Piker. This was interesting. I'd not seen this, mainly because I don't I don't watch all of the media like you do. But there's there's this effort now among never Trumpers and Democrats and media. But I repeat myself that they are insisting that somehow another Fuentes is sort of the Hassan Piker of the right, and that Nick Fuentes is being uh, he's a notable figure on the right. So like, like, where are you seeing this occurring? And like, is this now something that we're going to have to address with these people that know Nick Foyintes is not one of us, never has been. It's more of a case I think of just keeping it in your back pocket, because we saw David French, Joe Walsh and a few others in the media circles trying to make this insistence. And that's because Hassan Piker, for one, won't shut up and he just keeps causing more and more verbal problems for the left. And so while the Democrats have embraced him, he's showing every reason not to, and they're kind of stuck. And so instead of fixing that problem, they're trying to look in the other way and point fingers and say, but you got Nick foint Is, you got the same problem. Except there's no problem there because you don't find a single republic in embracing Nick foyinte is in any capacity. Right, And that's where the comedy just rest right there. And I think this is already kind of a charge that's dying on the vine because they keep making that insistence, and all we have to say is do you have any examples? And they don't. Yeah. Right, there is where the whole narrative falls. Apart aside from like Nick Fuentes being at January sixth, but somehow or another avoiding any charges even though like what, thousands of people were charged just for being there, and somehow he avoids all the charges despite yelling through a megaphone for people to storm the capitol, but no charges for the fat I mean Fuentes. So aside from that appearance, I'm not aware of him stumping for candidates, going out there and doing you know, rallies for Republican candidates. No, there's nothing of the sort. And in fact, you know, you see everybody from Ronda santis On disavowing the guy. And even while they say, oh, the Republicans are scared to disavow him, it's because the Republicans have ignored him. He's not factor of any capacity. And you know, that's the little game that you like to play. It's like, well, you haven't spoken down to him. It's like, right, we haven't spoken about him at all. That's the point. And I think one of the problems I was gonna say, I think one of the problems is that there's sort of this you know, three degrees of separation, which is Tucker Carlson uh interviewing Nick Fuente's aka platforming him right, having him on the show, and then Tucker Carlson playing foot see with a lot of these other wacky ideas and having a direct connection to jd Vance, who has never you know, said anything bad about Tucker Carlson and Carlson's interview with Valente. So I think that, like I do think there is there's a problem there like that. That's a concern for me about JD. Vance as as to how that, like, why is he not distancing himself from this more toxic element. Yeah, I would probably chalk that up more towards personality as opposed to platform. I don't. I think he's just showing some loyalty to Tucker as an individual. But yeah, that does raise up a gray area because right now, Tucker Carlson has pretty much made himself, you know, man without a country. As far as conservatives, goo, I don't see too many people on the right now, you know, repeating what he's saying, support his articles and interviews and such. He's kind of made himself a political pariah. And I think if I had to guess, it would be Jade Vance just showing loyalty to a friend, not a political mover. And you also pointed out in your piece I think is the most damning indictment of this what aboutism that the left is trying to play with Fuentes equating him to Piker, which is that Fuentes is backing Democrats, which is not something that. Can't interrupt the entire charge right there. It's like he's spent at least the last six months or so slamming Donald Trump and saying go vote Democrat. Yeah. Uh, that's kind of what I'm going to point to. Yeah, all right, so his influence on the party. So, speaking of Hassan Piker, you got another piece. Apparently he's very upset that Laura Lumer posted one of these days, Hassan Piker is going to talk poop to the wrong person, and then I'm going to make that person a give send go, which is a fundraising platform. So in other words, like and he's like, oh my gosh, she's contracting a hit out on me, says Hassan Piker, who, as I understand, it is all about peaceful disagreement. No, well, let me disvalue of that position, pepe. Yeah, this is a guy with a track record of calling for murder of individuals and general public. I mean, he has gone after Rick Scott. He has talked about specific people on the right who should be murdered. He's even said that landlords are up for not just you know, reprisal or take their property, but kill them. Yes, social murder. I think he referred to it as with the CEO of United Healthcare. Yeah, he was all in favor of that and said that you know that his company basically is murdering people, so he was justifying that assassination. I mean, he's just on and on. This goes from him. But then when somebody turns around, it says, uh, you're probably going to have somebody confront you physically. Well, how dare you right? He's a cry bully, That's what he is. He's a cry bully. And I was gonna say tracks because you look at the polling and young lefties they're okay. They are like the demographic that are the most okay with supporting political violence against their enemies. Yeah, we've been seeing that trend on a growing scale for a good couple of years now. And again, follow the media narrative. They keep trying to say how the right is fostering violent rhetoric and other charges of the sort, and yet they have actual data showing the problem is on their side. So it's pure projection going on. Yeah, all right, So speaking of the DSA members as well, not that they are all violent, they just want revolution. You had a very good piece also about the DSA how they refuse to engage and that you gave us this example a couple examples, but this one example of Francis Gill, a member of the National DSAY, who set for an interview on TV out in what was at Los Angeles, and the reporter asked her like, okay, here's an you want to abolish police and abolish prisons. So like if my daughter gets you know, raped and murdered, like who investigates that? And doesn't the guy go to prison? And the DSA is like, well, that's just a hypothetical. So I don't want to engage in a hype and like this is one of the games, the rhetorical games that they play. And you say, the best way to challenge this is to ask the simple follow up question of how right you have all these ideas? But just how do you do it? How does that work? It's and I've said for years the best follow up question is how so? And like that's because it forces somebody to actually walk you through the proposal that they are making. I thought it was It's a perfect response that everybody should use. Yeah, this is you know, I point out my article is that they're very good at stage one and they bring up the proposals and they talk about what should take place and why, and then it's okay, what's the result, what's the follow through on this? How does that work down the road? They don't want to talk about it. I mean we've seen a number of interviews where they tax the billionaires, what are you going to do if they move? And you know, every response is like that, it's deflectionist, walk around. And you know, in this example, the DSA member didn't want to address a hypothetical question. Well, you forwarded a hypothetical get rid of the cops? So right, we're already there in hypothetical territory. You took us there. Yeah, and more than like a pipe dream scenario, issue was presented with It's like, okay, let's say a rape takes place, how do you call the cops? Oh, you don't have them, so what do you do? And yeah, don't have jails, so how do you punish them? No answer, They don't have any response for a follow through. You know where I saw this, this this response, this tactic of asking them how very effectively employed is in the gun confiscation debate, right where if people say we should get rid of guns or whatever, usually well usually they never say let's confiscate all the guns because they know that's a toxic position. But if you can get them to the point where they're talking about, you know, by gun buyback programs and all this, then the the follow up has always been I saw this in the Second Amendment debates, where you go, Okay, well, what happens if people refuse to turn them in? Like, walk me through what that looks like, because like a lot of people are going to get killed. So if you want there to be less gun violence, it sounds like confiscating guns is actually going to increase gun violence when there are standoffs between the people trying to grab the guns and the people trying to not let their guns be grabbed. Oh yeah, it's always that's always the end result that they don't want to address. Have you even seen some of these confiscation conversations go it's like, well, if you'll do it, we'll just send the army in to go get them from you. So you hate guns so much, you're going to use guns to get the guns? Right of safety understood, you know? Right? Well, I think it's yeah, And I think underneath that is that they're okay with the gun owners being shot and killed like that. That's okay. It's like, as long as we get the guns out of that gun owner's house, it's okay if we have to kill them to do so with guns. Yeah, it's the. Name of safety and anti violence. Dignity and humanity to channel the DSA. It's all about humanity and dignity. All right. We will leave it there. You can read Brad's work over at mediaite dot com. From the text line, Joey says, so what will be the headline when Hassan Piker ends up in rural North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky so forth and mouths off, Well, he will probably be at a Democrat event, So the media is not going to cover any kind of mouthing off that he does there. Yeah, like it's not like it's not like he's going out there Charlie kirkstyle doing ask me anything. Appearances right, Hassan Piker does not do that. One time I did see he was up in New York, I believe during the campaign up there, and he got chased down the road by a local black guy live streaming it, just railing against him. And so that's why hassad Piker does not He does not mix and mingle with anybody outside the polit bureau elites, you know, because he's a commie like he is. He's a mallist. He has said this. I'm not smearing him. This isn't McCarthyism, like, this is what he believes. He wants to see communism. He wants to construct and destroy capitalism and America and replace it with communism. This is what he espouses on his Twitch stream, you know where he shot collars his dog so the dog can't move for seven straight hours off of a little bed in the background. That's the guy that Democrats are campaigning with, right the guy has such a long I mean, look, as one who is in media I do talk shows, like I recognize that you have a body of work. Shall we say that spans multiple well probably at this point months worth of content. Right Shortly people are going to be able to go in and find stuff that you said that maybe cringey, Maybe you're like, oh, you know what I said something like that that didn't come out the way I wanted it to or whatever, that was a long time ago. Whatever. This guy streams for like five, six, seven hours a day and has been doing it for years. And he's a Kami Islamist adjacent nutball, so you only have to go back a year, not even a year. And he's saying he's saying stuff during the campaign season as he's out there for these Democrats. He's saying crazy stuff. But they they they can't quit him. They just can't quit him because he brings the energy we need, that sweet sweet commie Islamist energy. We need that Red Green Alliance voter. Surely nothing bad will happen. So in chatting with Brad Slager from Mediaite earlier this hour, I mentioned this woman, Francis Gill. She appeared on k NBC TV four News in Los Angeles and the reporter political reporter interviewing her, his name is Conan Nolan or Nolan maybe or Conan Nolan, Conan Noland. I think I like that one better. Anyway, he has her in studio and this is the clip that was in the Mediaite story by Brad Slager. Here policy agenda on law enforcement is to defund police, to get rid of police departments. Correct. Well, what I would say is that we're dramatically overspending on police right now. I understand the goal is to defund the police department so we don't need them in the future. Right. I think it's what we really want to see is a horizon where folks are not reliant on armed enforcement to meet our public safety needs. Right. But it says defund police on a website, that's your goal, and also to get rid of prisons and jails. Correct right, Good for him, this is what a reporter is supposed to do. She keeps dancing away from the party plank, which is to defund police. That is not reduce police funding, cut the police budget by ten percent. Now they're not saying that, they're saying cut or they're saying defund that means remove funding from the police. In other words, abolish the police. And she keeps trying to find you mystic ways to say that's not really what they're saying. And as she tries to tap dance away, he keeps dragging her back to the point. That's the way you do the interview. If you do not get the answer to your question, you keep asking the same question over and over and over again. I know it's tedious, and I know a lot of times reporters and media people you see this in the political debates all the time, where the media person is more interested in asking their question than getting the answer. Like I have this list of questions. I want to get to all of my questions, like I don't care, I want I want this question first. And if you refuse to answer the question, I'm going to keep asking it. And if we get off of this stage and you spend twenty minutes refusing to answer my one question, that will reflect poorly on you, not me, and the audience will actually benefit from that, all right, So he keeps asking here she. Is correct, yes, so if if my daughter is there. It is so she says yes. Finally, after she starts you know, oh, we want to see a horizon where people are not reliant on armed enforcement. Blah blah b he'say, but you want to defund right and abolish prisons, right, and she says yes, And then he proceeds with the hypothetical. If my daughter is assaulted and raped, is there any agency that would seek to find her assailant and bring him to justice? Of course, yeah, of course would it. Be if not police? And where would he be. If not a jail? So I guess I really, I really want to avoid getting kind of caught into these hypotheticals and talk more about the reality that we're actually facing right now, which is that we're spending absolutely outrageous amounts of money on police and policing, and we're not spending money on things that actually make people safe and feel safe, which is things like actually well lit streets, the street lights in Los Angeles. Everybody agrees it's a huge problem. Things like mental health care. By the way, do you know why the street light issue is such a big problem in Los Angeles? And it is? She is correct, there's a big problem in LA. There are all of these street lights that don't work. You know why. The homeless they bust open. There's a little panel on the bottom of the light, the base of the light pole, and they bust it open and they steal the wiring. They sell the wiring to get their preferred you know, drug of choice. That's why. But I guess if you find some way. And there is a guy who actually came up with some sort of like anti wire theft device. It's like a lock box or something that goes on the light poles. And of course the LA government was like, no, no, no, we don't want those just they are nuts, because destruction is the point. Remember Karen Bass, the mayor of Los Angeles, was part of a group of the radical left from a very long time ago through present day. And she actually would go down to Cuba for training. Now, why is the Cuban government training American students and young adults. What are these things that she's attending. They're training camps for how to deconstruct Western civilization Because Cuba is anti America. That's what she was learning to do. She is now in charge of a major city in America, and so the destruction is the point. Because you hate America. You want to destroy these big cities a La Zoron Mamdani in New York City as well. But that's why the light pulls are a problem. That's intentional. Right. But notice what she does again, She says, we have to make people feel safe. Oh yes, okay, so we get lots of bright lights while you're being assaulted, so at least everybody can see what's happening, and that's going to make people feel safer if we have lights. Now, you know what makes people feel safer, not getting assaulted, right, And an expectation that if you were to be the victim of a crime, that the person that victimized you would be punished severely for doing so. That's what actually makes people feel safer. What makes people feel safer is being safer, right, That's how that works. And then she of course has to say, we want to get to the roots of crime. This is this left wing fantasy, this myth that they peddle that people don't commit crimes for any other reason except they're poor, which is weird because people weren't committing rampant crime during the Great Depression. That wasn't happening when people were really poor, everybody was struggling. There weren't massive crime waves during the Depression. That there's some root cause. Oh, I mean, accept fatherless homes. We don't talk about that root cause because that's problematic, you know, So we don't talk about that one whatsoever. We're not also going to talk about any kind of a culture that celebrates criminality that is not a root cause of a celebrated culture of criminality, that is not that we do not talk about that. We're going to talk about mental health services. Do you know how much money Los Angeles spends on this stuff already? Right, there's an entire industry run by this kind of this kind of character Francis gild Say types. They are in charge of all of these different NGOs, nonprofits and such that are supposedly dedicated to eradicating the problem. But for some reason, the more money that is spent to eradicate the problem, the problem gets worse. It's almost as if the efforts are not actually designed to eradicate the problems. Brad Schlager wrote at in his piece at Media this interview with Francis Gill DSA. She is a national DSA representative, so this is a person at the national level for the DSA. He says, this displays so much that is wrong with the DSA campaign items. It is the mentality of coddled trust fund level collegiate thinking, where everything exists in term paper theology and activist rally speeches, but practical applications are scant. Well, Brad, that's because real socialism has never been tried. I've been assured over on the text line. The nice Marie says, I missed the days when they romanticized defunding the police with the phrase reimagine policing. Oh yes, that was a kinder, gentler version. Disarm everybody, allow there to be no police. And here's the thing too, leftists never want there to be no police. Remember Rush Limbaugh used to talk about how police departments were basically the last stronghold in government, occupied by generally more conservative men. It's it's like the only field well, firefighting as well, right, But though like when it comes to you know, city government, the police, police and fire departments, they are like the last refuges, because those are the kinds of people that are attracted to those professions, and so they so here's your opportunity. Let's clean house. Let's get rid of all these people, get rid of these these dudes, especially the white ones. You know what I mean. I mean they were overt in saying this. I know, woke one was crazy to quote Alexandria A kazuocatez. Let me see here. This is from a nine nine number, oh tennessee number, Pete. Don't you know that the best way for citizens to feel safe is to have a pr firm paid three million dollars from taxpayers to tell us that we are safe. Ah? Yes, Doug along the same point. Just spend three million on marketing to tell people they are safe. Worked for the light rail right, Yes see. People, you just don't You just don't know you're safe. You feel not safe. That's probably because of the media, or it could be the Ferguson effect. Jeff with a G says, would it be an accurate description to say that the more money they throw at these programs, the problems just continue to get progressively worse. They do. This is why I've said progress is not necessarily a good thing. Right, If you are progressing towards a cliff, that's not necessarily a good thing because you will eventually go over the cliff. Tracy says, this woman needs to live around me, and I would like to see what she would do in handling the drug house down the street. I have CMPD on my side. I guess she would seek out a mental health counselor for them. You go, girl, slave queen, this is from Danny. You have reached the explanation point. In my humble opinion. Trump initiated doge very quickly after inauguration, and like a refrigerator door opening at midnight in a hoarder's house, the ugly and rancid has been exposed. The NGOs are at very least exposed for the corrupt cronyism it is, and at most losing funding. So their soldiers are entering races and trying plan B sell America on class warfare. But see, here's the thing. Class warfare doesn't ever really work in America because of the American promise, which is if you work hard, play by the rules, you too can be successful. And this is what the commis realized A long time ago, the Soviet Union talked about this, Graham, she talked about it. The Italian COMMI that this class warfare isn't really the pain point that you can exploit. And so what they recognized about America was that rather than make class warfare the oppressor oppressed lens, you make it racial. This is why I say the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution. The issue of racial divides or LGBT divides, any of these types of pain points, they're not really the issue, right. The issue is always the overthrow of capitalism, free markets, Western civilization. That's the point. They'll just swap out whatever issue they need in order to inflict pain, to make people abandon the existing institutions and culture and society, to abandon all of that stuff. After they have been demoralized by these very same people who have been trying to wreck it. Then they will say vote for me, I will fix it. So here's another story by the way out of Wilmington, pieceover at Breitbart dot com by our pal Matt Mercer. He says that DSA is upset that city and state officials removed their propaganda bus stop benches since April twenty twenty five DSA activists installed more than thirty illegal benches at city bus stops without approval from the city or the transit system, in violation of ordinances. So now the city attorneys like, yeah, these were not approved by the city. It's taken them apparently a year and a half to go rip them out. They're not the correct type of bench, they are not ADA compliant, they did not go through the required permitting process and carry political messaging, which is not allowed. Follow Up emails showed the DSA ignored the request to remove the benches. A statement from the group confirmed they did not receive approval but chose to continue with the project anyway. Hilariously, the Cape Fear Proud Boys took credit for removing one of the benches and repainting it with an anti socialist message, saying socialism is slavery. So the NCDOT came ripped out twenty of the benches, and then the city followed after that, taking out the remainder, and the DSA is all upset that their comy benches have been ripped out. Cry bullies. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
