Pete started the show talking about Roy Cooper's upcoming press conference and joked that with a 3pm press conference - Cooper may have been "dodging him". We gave away Rolling Stones tickets to start the second segment. Throughout the hour, we reacted to Gibbie Harris' presser from yesterday and the lack of decision on her part to tell people to go get vaccines. Pete said that if there is another mask mandate - he's not interested in following. However, Pete did Cooper some credit by saying that he doesn't expect him to announce another lockdown like last year. Pete started the 1pm hour reacting to Gibbie Harris' comments about what she expects to hear from Roy Cooper, and Pete said that we're all fighting the wrong people when discussing the COVID cases. He continued the debate about if the # of cases are coming from the unvaccinated as well as saying it's WAY too easy to just blame illegal immigrants who don't have the vaccine. Americans just arent getting vaccinated. That prompted a caller to confront Pete in the next segment saying that he's "not afraid of COVID." In the 2pm hour, a caller did follow up to that comment saying that he lost his dad to COVID and that he basically "wanted to go" - he didn't want to live under the conditions that he was faced getting COVID. To wrap the show, Pete reacted to Chris Christie's comments about "not wanting to be indoctrinated" by a vaccine and took a call from a caller who said they wont be getting any more vaccines due to their natural immunity to the virus and another caller who said that he wont ever put a mask on again - if a store requires one moving forward - they won't get his business.
