Pete Kaliner opened up the show welcoming his listeners as his new show from 12-3 launched today. He then invited callers to "ask him anything" in his next segment. In the middle of the hour, Pete took calls about the rising number of COVID-19 cases with concerns about the spread of the Delta variant. To wrap up the hour, Pete took a call from someone who had recovered from COVID. To open up the second hour of the show, Pete talked about former Bush speechwriter David Frum's Atlantic piece about why anti-vaxxers could be the reason why a COVID resurgence is coming back. He also warned listeners that a lot of the media right now is "on the left" and said to take every piece of news with a grain of salt. In the middle of the 1pm hour, Pete took calls and had to debunk several claims of chips being placed in COVID-19 vaccines. To wrap up the hour, Pete talked about the Olympic action on right now and said he cant really follow the Olympics unless it's in "even # years" and it's "the main five sports". In the final hour, Pete talked more about the vaccines. We gave away Rolling Stones tickets in the middle of the hour and wrapped the show talking about drug overdose #'s in North Carolina and South Carolina.
