All righty, so yesterday we spend some time reading The Science's Diary some select passages. There's like thirteen hundred pages of Anthony Fauci's diaries that have been made public. Newly released diary entries by doctor Anthony Fauci Anthony the Science Fauci, and they offer an unfiltered look at what the nation's top infectious disease expert really thought of the politicians, television personalities, and celebrities who filled his orbit during the COVID nineteen pandemic. Released by Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ran Paul, the diaries chronicle Fauci's day to day roll during the COVID nineteen pandemic through meetings, phone calls, and his personal observations, heavy focus on himself and all of the media attention and the fame and notoriety and the narcissistm that he was he was really really excited about. It's really gross actually when you read through this stuff, like the amount of. Keystrokes. I was going to say inc but he typed this stuff out for some reason. I don't know why. Why would you write all of this stuff out? I guess for his memoir, right, I'm assuming he was going to write a book or something and talk about, you know, his time during COVID and what was going on behind the scenes. So I got to document all this stuff so he would have his you, like Peggy Hill, he would write his musings Anthony's musings, and a lot of them are just gross. They show a guy who's pretty much as sociopathic narcissist, super super super interested in all of the accolades and the coverage he was getting and how important he was. The release comes days before Fauci is scheduled to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee after he was subpoenaed by Rand Paul. I believe that is going to be tomorrow. I actually have not checked to see what time it's going to be on, but usually these things started like ten am, So it makes it very difficult for me to pull the audio, to monitor it, to watch it, and get audio sound bites out of it unless I you know, jip it, jip join in progress, unless we join it in progress. But then you just don't ever know if you're going to get boring stuff, you know, because you're taking it live. And so if you're just gonna you know, take it live, then you're at the mercy of. The time slot. You know. It's one of the biggest. Challenges I have as a host now noon to three that I never have had before because when I was like three to six, I would do the three to six slot, or before that, I did nine to midnight, So everything was usually done by the time I came in, and so I had plenty of time to you know, monitor the morning hearings. I could pull some sound bites and that sort of thing. Not so much with the noon to three slot. They do a lot of things like between ten and noon, and it's just difficult. Sorry I'm not. Complaining, but I kind of am, but I like I'm it's just I'm just letting you know. This is the this is the limitation I'm gonna be under for tomorrow. So I'm gonna give you some more of his diary entries today in advance of the hearing tomorrow. So this from Amanda Messias at Fox News. Early entries portray a warm, working relationship between Fauci and Trump, well at least in the beginning. Fauci's relationship with White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows deteriorated throughout the pandemic. Fauci wrote that Meadows threatened to keep him off television. No, because that's like, look, Mark knew exactly how to hurt this guy. Meadows, like you really, you really want to hurt Fauci, You just say no more TV live hits. No, OK, I need to be out there. The science needs to be heard, he referred to himself. The reason I call him the science is because he he said that if you attack him, it's basically like attacking the science. So that's why I call him the Science. He's like a He's like a wrestler, Tony the Science Fauci. He enters the ring and he jabs you with needles and stuff. After coughing on you. So in in this piece, Meadows threatened to keep him off TV, repeatedly pushed him. Meadows repeatedly pushed Fauci to soften his public messaging, and in one entry recounted Fauci recounted that Meadows screamed over her Fauci's public comments. Fauci, however, repeatedly described then White House Comms Director Alissa Farra as an ally during internal battles over media appearances. This was disappointing. But I have to say I've been disappointed in Alissa Farra for a while because I know Alissa Farra. She's now on the View. Another disappointment. She's the token conservative quote unquote on the View. Alissa Farra used to be with I believe she started memory Serves correctly. She used to be the comms person for Mark Meadows, but then I think she went over to the House Freedom Caucus as their comms person. So that's how I knew her. Was just working with her to line up interviews and that sort of thing over the years, and then she went to the White House and she was the White House Communications Director. In one May of twenty twenty entry in Fauci's diary, he wrote that Alyssa Farrah admitted White House staff had been quote holding me back, so holding Alyssa back, that the White House staffers were holding Alyssa back, and said the situation had quote gotten out of hand, and promised to begin clearing his television requests again. So as so he all of his TV appearances, he had to apparently get clearance through the White House first, and Alyssa's bosses, people higher up in the White House hierarchy, like they were getting fed up with what Fauchi was doing, and so they started limiting his TV appearances, and she disagreed with them. So she she's telling him in these communityations that her bosses are holding her back. It's gotten out of hand, and she's going to work to clear some of his requests. In a July second, twenty twenty entry, Fauci called then Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Michael Capitou a quote con man who is completely full of poop, writing that Capito publicly claimed to support his television appearances while privately blocking them. He had a very chummy relationship with Jake Tapper. When the Atlantic publication did a story written by Peter Nicholas that suggested Fauci had been quote humiliated over a canceled interview with Jake Tapper on CNN. Fauci wrote in his diary, beep you, Peter, I don't look. I have tried to keep a diary when I was much younger, and all the diary entries are the same. They all are. I know, I haven't written in a long time. And then it's like one thing that happened today, and then it's like four or five years go by, and then the same thing. I know I haven't written in a long time. This thing happened today. That's it, all right. For over a year now you've heard me talking about Create a Video. Anthony Fauci's diary entries, published by Senator Rand Paul ahead of the hearings scheduled for tomorrow, lots of stuff, Like I said, there's like thirteen hundred pages of these diary entries, which like I don't even know who would read a book out of all of that, it would probably be condensed down. But the stuff in this, in these entries is like the very very chummy relationship that he had with many many people in the media CNN, most prominently Jake Tapper Dana Bash who was sending him messages and stuff trashing like House Republican Jim Jordan. Also, beyond politicians and White House aides, Fauci's diary reads at times like a Hollywood guest list. Actress Julia Roberts hosted Fauci on Instagram live, sent him flowers, and later presented him with an award for Gela very prestigious award, while Vogue editor Anna Wintour, comedian Oh I don't know about that, comedian, talk show host Trevor Noah, NBA star Steph Curry, actors Sean Penn and Matt Damon, rapper Lil Wayne also make appearances as Fauci documented his growing celebrity status during the pandemic. The diary closes with another unexpected cameo at the twenty twenty two Kennedy Center Honors. Fauci wrote that he ran into Hunter Biden speaking of hoaxes, hugged Hunter Biden, and Hunter joked that the Internet would explode if someone photographed them together because they were both being attacked by the far right GOP. Yeah, okay, so let's go through some of the chronology here might be a little bit important. March twenty seventh, twenty twenty, So this is the opening months. Really, March is when the lockdown orders started coming down, right, because back in it would have been January that we started seeing the first cases, right, and pretty soon thereafter, remember things started getting canceled. And then come March, it was like fifteen days to slow to spread. We just need fifteen days. So March twenty seventh, Diary entry by Doctor Fauci, Dear Diary. He said that President Donald Trump was giving an aspirational projection to give people some hope. When Trump floated the idea of reopening businesses and getting Americans back to work by Easter, which was April twelfth, so this is from the diary. Potis continues to ramble at presser. Okay, well that is that's probably true. Prior to the presser the news conference, Potis invited me and deb at Deborah Burkes, she of the scarfs, you know, Deborah of the long scarfs. I think is her her traditional name. Anyway, that Trump invites Burkes and Fauci into his inner office at the Oval and started telling me that as a Catholic, how much of a shame it would be if we did not do a classical Easter and good Friday and Palm Sunday. He wanted to figure out how to do a version of it like outdoor man, or stand in your car and do a drive in theater like mass Hope Hicks. Remember her, Hope Hicks. Remember she was the one that fabricated the story about how Trump tried to like grab the steering wheel in the presidential limousine on January sixth. Remember that that Hope Hicks. Hope Hicks and I convinced him to essentially put Easter on hold for this year. Then he went on and on, almost pleading with me. He capitalizes me, just in case you were curious, Like, does he really think of himself as God. He capitalizes me, So yeah, probably. He goes on and on, almost pleading with me and Deb, saying that he cannot keep the country closed beyond the thirty day extension. He rambled on and on that we are destroying this great country and started rattling off the names of various sports commissioners NBA, MLB, NHL, et cetera, who said their sports would be destroyed if we did not open up. Also, he said industry, all the industrial giants would be forever destroyed. He said that he understood where Deb and I were coming from, but he could not let the country die. And so one way or another, he is opening up in thirty days. He went on and emphasized this over and over at the press conference which immediately followed his conversation with me and Deb. So what does that paint the picture of Trump is trying to reopen. Trump is like, I understand your position. We have to reopen. I have to take these other considerations well into consideration, like I have to view these other things. That's what this says to me. Back to the Fauci Diary, I read to you the passage that he wrote from March twenty seventh, twenty twenty, where Trump was arguing that they had to reopen again March twenty seventh, and you got Fauci and Burks saying we need to cancel Easter, no Easter, we got to do the lockdowns through Easter, and Trump is arguing against this. This is March twenty seventh. Fast forward almost one month later, April twenty third, twenty twenty, after the presser, about one hour, deb Burks texted and then called me saying it was good that I was not there because after the presser the Potus called her into the Oval office and started yelling at her, saying, quote, you and Fauci have destroyed the country and the economy. I should never have listened to you. You have completely destroyed us. He kept saying this over and over again and was yelling at her. I encourage that we're okay, and at the end of the day she and I will be loved by the people we care about. She was relieved and after wrote me a text sincerely thanking me. Oh gosh, he is always he is always the hero, I swear in every one of these stories, always the hero, never the villain. But what does this tell me. It tells me that Trump recognized what was happening, He saw what was going on. Now, I don't know if this was part of some effort to undermine Trump's presidency. I don't. However, I can look at a whole bunch of other stories where people inside the government were in fact working to undermine Trump's presidency from the very beginning, even before he was elected, right aka the deep state. So is it possible that this is what Fauchi was playing to He also, apparently, in one of the diary entries, talked about how the mortality rate was somewhere around point two percent, which would have put it in the category of a bad flu. Remember we kept hearing that too, But then he went and said in public that it was ten x, not point two. So he lied. He lied about the mortality rates. Why would you do that well to justify the prolonged lockdowns? Now? Was that just because he was a fame hooker, a media hooker. I'm cleaning that up. There's another word there, but I just don't like using it. So Jeffrey Tucker from the Brownstone Institute said, I'm still making my way through, but this entry is gigantically important. Trump on April twenty third, realized that he had been hornswaggled by scamsters. This is the moment of the great turning. Also, this is completely new. In July twenty twenty, Media Eye reports, Fauci wrote about an appearance that Berks made on Jake Tapper's show on CNN. Quote deb was on CNN with Jake Tapper and did not answer the question of whether it was a mistake for the President to talk about injecting or swallowing bleach. Jake wrote me a text afterwards and said, quote, Burke's has lost her way. I fear she. Has chosen to focus on defending the president and attacking the press. Odd and yet, in another April twenty twenty diary entry, Fauci wrote that Tapper called him after an appearance that Fauci had made on CNN, and Fauci wrote, quote quote Jake wanted to make sure that the interview did not cause me any problems. Oh, that's very nice of Jake Tapper, who, by the way, as I understand it, and I haven't seen anything otherwise, he still has not addressed any of this, However. On October thirteenth, twenty twenty, Donald Trump put out a tweet that was when he was still tweeting, and he said, talking about Fauci, Tony's pitching arm is far more accurate than his prognostications. Remember I think he threw out a first pitch at a baseball game, Nationals game. Remember he famously then watched with two of his friends. They took the masks off and they were sitting in like this empty stadium. Remember that. And so here's Trump trashing Fauci. His pitching arm is more accurate than his prognostications. No problem, No masks who no longer likes lockdowns, just came out against Trump. Was right. We saved two million USA lives. That's what Trump tweeted. Jake Tapper about twenty minutes later responded to the President on Twitter by saying, attacking the widely respected doctor Tony Fauci while holding potential super spreader rallies throughout battleground states seems like a great way to win back those seniors and women voters concerned about how he has handled the pandemic. So there's Tapper trying to shame the president, right, who was holding events super spreader You're killing granny all of that. Meanwhile, Fauci was having dinner with Jake Tapper and his wife repeatedly during the pandemic. So who's actually the super spreader, who's doing the home gatherings in violation of the recommendations of the widely respected doctor Tony Fauci. Hmm, this is why people don't have any confidence in the health industry any longer, and the government and a lot of institutions. From the text line, Wes says Pete Rush Limbaugh Rush had doctor Fauci pegged with uncanny accuracy back then. That is not surprising to me in the least. From media height. Doctor Fauci enjoyed a relaxed dinner at home with CNN star Jake Tapper and his wife one week after telling Americans that they should sacrifice getting together with their family and friends at Thanksgiving. Remember that. Do you remember what you were doing for the Thanksgiving in twenty twenty in the pandemic. I remember we went down to my brothers out of state in a state that was not as locked down as North Carolina was, because remember Donald Trump then said, this is up to the states, right. Trump first did the fifteen days to slow the spread and all of that, and then he was like, we got to open back up, and everyone's like, you're going to kill everybody Trump, you know, and you had states that were predominantly governed by Republicans that opened back up. I remember Christy talking about how she went down to South Carolina for something, I forget what it was, and during the pandemic, and she was like, you go across the border and it's like COVID doesn't exist. Like people they were all in the stores, They're just walking around. You know. We were at that point, we were still up in the mountains up in Ashville, and Ashville went COVID crazy. I mean they were. They were terrified COVID terrified Fauci's Diaries. The diary notes were published over the weekend by Senator Rand Paul, the man who spearheaded the US government's response to COVID nineteen, wrote a without having multiple dinners with Jake Tapper in twenty twenty, right alongside of his notes on the rising death toll. You know, oh, two thousand people dead, had dinner with Jake, he wrote about one of the shared suppers. On October twenty third, twenty twenty, quote had dinner at my home with Jake and Jennifer Tapper relaxed, good time. Jake clearly believes that Trump is totally nuts. The diary entry came nine days after Fauci said Americans would be better off ditching there Thanksgiving plans. Quote, you may have to bite the bullet and sacrifice that social gathering unless you're pretty certain that the people that you're dealing with are not infected. Well, how would you know that? Right? Remember the tests? Because while I was down in. At my brother's house, we got word that somebody I worked with got COVID. They tested positives. Then I had to go out and get a COVID test. Yeah, that was fun. And so that's what Fauci was doing. Same thing. Remember Gavin Newsom, did it remember the French Laundry? That was the restaurant that he was caught dining at after telling everybody that they couldn't go out to dinner. Cindy on the text line, how did we get access to his personal diaries? I believe Donald Trump snuck into his house and stole the journals from under his bed fors nightstand. No, I'm kidding. They were subpoena. They were subpoena as part of this investigation as too, you know, like, how were these policies crafted? Who were you talking to? This is and it goes beyond like the diary stuff, isn't it wasn't subpoenaed for this purpose. It was. It's part of the larger investigation about the money, the funding, the gain of function research, that whole line, which we covered yesterday. All right, that'll do it for this episode.
