The CBP in Charlotte freakout nears max (11-14-2025--Hour1)

This episode is presented by Create A Video – Democrats and media (but I repeat myself) are amping the anxiety over the reports that Customs & Border Patrol will be conducting a "brief" operation in Charlotte at some point in the coming days. We have no idea, we don't know, We do not know what's happening, but we do know that we don't need it and we don't want it. Whatever it is, it's about to happen in some form or fashion, some location or something. We don't know, but we're very upset about it and we don't want it. We don't need it whatever. It is, which we don't know. So there you go. See I bring clarity to these types of situations. No, no, I'm not talking about crime or mass transit. No, I'm talking about the customs and border patrol. Eh I thought I saw them outside the window. No, no, no, not CBP. All of this started about two days ago. I was going to get to this yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't because we have an update from this morning where we still don't know anything, but we are very mad about it. That's the message from local elected leadership. They did a press conference which with a bunch of leftist at activist groups outside of the government center, where they once again talked about how they don't know what's going on, and they although they want everybody to know that, they're not happy about what's going on which they don't know about. So it started, let's see. On the twelfth of November, News Nation reported the man leading immigration enforcement in Chicago will leave the Windy City on Wednesday. Sources confirmed to News Nation he will take members of his team to Charlotte, North Carolina, and then New Orleans. That is an outrage. Why does New Orleans just get to be New Orleans not New Orleans Louisiana. What about all the marketing, all of the effort to make Charlotte a world class city where you don't I don't need to say North Carolina after Charlotte. How come we are not as good as New Orleans? Come on. AnyWho. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino has led operations in Los Angeles and Chicago this year. His team is currently in the Windy City, but is slated to leave soon. Sources confirmed. It was unclear when Bovino will begin work in Charlotte, but sources said it will be a brief stint before a longer mission in New Orleans. All right, so let me write that down. They say it's going to be brief. Okay, However brief it is is too long. This is too long. You're not allowed here. Federal government or something. We don't want you here. They're making us afraid. That was the message, by the way, that's been the message this whole time, is you're making us feel afraid. Even after Bavino leaves Chicago, immigration and Customs enforcement officers and other Border Patrol teams will remain in that city. Bovino said in a sworn deposition that he oversees more than two hundred Border Patrol agents and who were assigned to the Chicago area in early September. Since then, DHS officials have reported more than three thousand arrests as part of the federal presence, which has been called operation Midway Blitz. So three thousand arrests by Customs and Border patrol. And if you listen to our local democrats and media, but I repeat myself, they are all American citizens. Like that's the. Like, that's the message that keeps coming through is that border patrol is out there rounding up American citizens and throwing them into gulags. It's just absurd. Three thousand arrests in in just Chicago. Mayor vy Lyles, who actually responded in a pretty timely fashion to this news for some reason, I mean, the murder. Of Arena Zarutzka not so much. But when it comes to this boom statement went out, I am aware of immigration enforcement activity that may be coming to Charlotte. Spoiler alert, it's already here. Yeah, ICE is already conducting operations right here in Charlotte. Did you know that? You should know that. I mean, remember they chased a guy through a pond in uptown at Marshall Park there. It's not a very smart move. By the way, if you're trying to run from you know, five or six law enforcement officials who have radios, probably not a great idea to jump into a two and a half foot pond, because it's been my experience that when you try to run through water, it's much more difficult, slows you down and then they can easily surround you and at some point you got to get out of the pond, you know, which is what happened, and then they took him into custody in deported him. It is important that we keep to the facts that we know, as there are many rumors in the community that, as far as we know, are not verified, and we do not want to cause additional alarm in an uncertain environment. First and foremost, every person who lives, works, studies, or visits our city deserves to feel safe, respected and protected under the law. Really, because I know a lot of people that do not feel safe, respected and protected under the law, you know, particularly when our catch and release criminal justice system just keeps the revolving door going and allowing people to keep walking out of the jail without charges, walking out of the jail with an ankle monitor that gets cut off but that doesn't really carry any ramifications, or they walk out with no bail, or they get arrested. Twenty thirty, forty. Fifty, or in the case of that fifteen year old car thief over one hundred and ten times, which is why I have come out in favor of the one hundred strike law. If you get arrested one hundred strikes one hundred times, that's one hundred strikes on your record. I think at that point you should probably get like a strongly worded letter put in your permanent record. I know it's tough, but I think it's fair. Charlotte is committed to following the law and to protecting the rights of all people who call our city home. Our police department continues to focus on keeping our neighborhood safe and maintaining public trust. Yeah. Part of the public trust, though, is not turning a blind eye to people who have broken the law by entering the country. This is the This is the way that the left shapes this entire debate, because if you control the language, you control the debate. And this is why they have conflated legal with illegal immigration. You never heard. I watched the hour long press conference. I have audio from it. We're gonna go over some of the well, actually we're gonna go over a lot of it. I'm gonna let you hear what these people are saying. You will not hear the word illegal alien at you'll hear people without the proper documentation right. They have to use these these you know, highly constructed euphemisms in order to conflate people who did it the right way legal versus people who did not. And they put them all together and then they tug on the heartstrings of any legal alien or legal resident, legal citizen gets caught up in something. They focus all their attention on that one case and they want you to ignore all of the In the case of Chicago, three thousand illegal aliens that were arrested. You know, stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. They help us process the meaning of life, and our stories are told through images and videos. Preserve your stories with Creative Video. Started in nineteen ninety seven in mint Hill, North Carolina. Visit creative video dot Com. From the text line, John says, are you surprised, Pete? Anytime anybody mentions ice in the South, people freak out. That's true, that is true. Yes, I had not considered that. Let me see, I'm trying to find the next text here. This is from Oh yeah, Charlotte, USA. That's yeah, Like, what about the whole Charlotte, USA. We're still getting mentioned Charlotte, North Carolina from seven oh four number. My wife was eating lunch yesterday and a co worker was talking to her parents in Spanish, and my wife can understand Spanish, and this woman was telling her parents to hide out, not could identify where they are. Just yeah, like, so that's what's that's what's occurring right now, and that's why you're having all of these Democrat leaders in Charlotte and Mecklemburg and State. They're all, you know, I feel your pain. I know you're a suffering anxiety. This is so scary. That's why they're doing all of this, and in doing so, they are erecting the permission structure for leftists to take to the streets and behave in the way that we are seeing in these other locations, notably at the Broadview Facility in Chicago, where this morning they were assaulting border patrol and local police who were telling them to get out of the street. And the mob doesn't believe that these rules apply to them, and so they're not willing to move. I'm exercising my First Amendment free speech rights to stand in the road and block traffic and prevent law enforcement from performing their duties. And so law enforcement's like, no, you have to move out. And when they won't move, now you've got two forces going up against each other and people start getting arrested, they get thrown to the ground. That's when you end up with the pepper balls being shot at them and the tear gas and all of that stuff. And that is what the revolutionaries want to see. They want that to occur. They want babies, children, the elderly, they want them to be harmed. They did this during this summer of fiery but mostly peaceful protests or sorry riots. They would put like. The most sympathetic caricatures of people in the front of the mob, so law enforcement would have to go through them. This is why I call it the Hamas strategy. You're using your own people as fodder for the pr campaign. So the mayor in her statement, don't know if she wrote this or if it's AI generated or one of her staffers did it. Like her speeches, she says, Charlotte is committed to following the law. Yeah, and to protecting the rights of all people who call our city home. Our police department, I mean, well not all laws. See, you're not committed to fillowing all the laws, right, because that's what CBP is doing, and that's what ICE is doing. They're enforcing the law. And you don't like that, you don't like this law. You would prefer all of these vote I mean sorry residents, these illegal residents stay, she says. I Understodh hang on, our police department continues to focus on keeping our neighborhoods safe and maintaining public trust. We remain dedicated to fair and lawful policing for everyone. I understand that many in our community may feel anxiety or uncertainty. I understand how unsettling it can be when the sense of security you have in your daily life is shaken. I want to assure you your concerns matter, Your safety matters, your rights matter. Charlotte's strength lies in our and mutual respect. We are safer together, we are stronger together. Let us continue working toward a city where everyone feels safe, valued, and able to contribute to our shared future, even the people who kicked in the door and entered illegally. As Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department has shared, CMPD does not participate in ICE operations, nor is CMPD involved in the planning of these federal activities. CMPD would only become involved in situations where there are criminal behavior or criminal warrants that fall under cmpd's jurisdiction. This is a common refrain. You're going to hear it now from the Mecklenburg Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Gary not my fault, McFadden. He put out a statement as well wanting everybody to know that we have nothing to do with this. We have no idea what's going on. They did not tell me their plans, which, by the way, why on earth would ICE or CBP tell you guys what they're going to be doing. Do you think that they trust you? Like the things you are saying right now indicate no, they should not trust you. Right, They are right to withhold information about their operations from you because you would probably go and tell people, right so they can avoid being rounded up and deported, because that's what you're saying. You prefer is that they not face the consequences of their actions. That's what you're saying, So of course they're not going to tell you. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Just a quick drive up the mountain and Cabins of Asheville is your connection. Mecklenburg County Sheriff Gary not my fault, McFadden, because nothing is ever his fault. According to a pre us release, McFadden spoke directly with Chief Johnny Jennings regarding the matter. CMPD also has not received any formal or informal contact information regarding any operation, planning, processing, or procedures by the CPB. It's not the CPB, it's the cpp anyway operating in and around the Charlotte area. Given the current climate surrounding immigration and the potential for violence associated with law enforcement operations at any level. Why would there be violence. I'm so confused. I've been reliably informed that all of the leftist activists that go out and surround law enforcement, beat on the vehicles, ram the vehicles, try to box them in, throw stuff at cops, that they are peaceful. These are peaceful demonstrations, so surprising. We respectfully request that any CBP activities taking place within Mecklimburg County be communicated to Mecklinberg County Sheriff's Office and local law enforcement in advance, along with any relevant updates or points of context. This will help insure the safety of all parties involved. Will it, though? Will it? I don't believe you. I'm sorry, I don't believe that the Sheriff of Mecklinburg County wants information just so safety will be insured. I don't believe that. I suspect that he would relay that information to the leftist activist base that he relied upon to win his elections. So that's just my suspicion. But what do I know. I'm just a little old radio host. All right, let me jump over to the phone lines being a radio host. Let me host a call. Here's Alex. Welcome to the program. Hello, Alex happy, how are you doing. I'm okay, what's going on? Yeah? I just want to say, with all these leftist ringing their hands over the treatment of illegal aliens, I wonder if they were stopped to think how various Latin American countries deal with people who enter illegally into their countries. I mean, they're not given freebies or no as far as education, medical, help, shelter, whatever. I mean, this country deals out freebies left and right. And this country doesn't have any apologies, excuses, or agrests to make any foreign countries back the way any illegal alien is treated. I think it's high time that charity begins at home and that this government starts to looking after the needs of American citizens first. Yeah, to answer your question, No, they do not consider any other nation's policies as any kind of a comparative. They do not, because literally all other nations enforce immigration law and they kick people out, don't who did not come through legally. They remove people if you've been there too long too, So no, they don't consider any of that, Alex, I appreciate the call. Let me jump over and get Robert up next. Hello, Robert, good afternoon, Pete. You are not a little old host, You're a big time host. No, that's very sweet, Thank you, Robie. You've been doing it for a long time. Your record speaks for yourself. I saw I saw a Charlotte City councilman just about an hour ago on CNN being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown and as you, as you mentioned, Pete, just like you, I was appalled when when Wolf and Pamela felt the need to say Charlotte, North Carolina, not just and not just Charlotte. That's the outrageous element of this story that is completely overlooked. I feel, yes, there is only one Charlotte of any significance in the United States, so there's no need to say Charlotte, North Carolina. And then Wolf even brought up our nickname of being the Queen City, and and and you would have thought that they were talking about maybe I don't know, maybe a fine town like like Cerone Orville that the people across the country would not know about, but everyone should know about Charlotte. Yes, well, and maybe this puts us on the map. Maybe we're looking at this all wrong. Maybe if the radical leftists descend on the Queen City and they start behaving like they've been behaving in these other cities, and we can get some violence all over the place, maybe that will put us on the map. Then we will really attain. World class city status and nobody will ever be in doubt as to what Charlotte or where Charlotte is located. Maybe we're looking at this all wrong. I think we've already attained world class status in some ways. But this councilman, I believe his name is Malcolm Graham, is Malcolm Graham and African American Charlotte City councilman. Yeah, Well, he was interviewed and they had him on there for probably i'd stay close to ten minutes. It was a good interview, but he, of course he was bending himself in pretzels, kind of fudging about. Well, if if as long as these agents have a warrant and a judicial writ and other items that would allow them to pick up a violent criminal, then yes, I'm I guess I'm probably for that right. Well, this is the line that they are walking all the time, where they're trying to say that we're totally for the arrests and deportations of the violent criminal illegal aliens. But what they never say out loud is what they are not in favor of. Then by that rubric, which is we are not in favor of deporting illegal aliens who have not committed crimes, simply being here in the country illegally is not sufficient for deportation. That's what they don't say. Correct, And that's a bridge too far for them, and they You're exactly right, Yes, if they were informed about any of these ICE operations, they would tip the people who are being pursued off. In many many cases. Yeah, they would just tell their leftist pals in these various activist organizations. They would tell their pals, and then the pals would spread that word and that would go out and then people in the area where CBP would be operating, they would flee the area. They would stay away. And they would undermine the efficacy of the operation. I think that's pretty clear, Robert. Thanks for the call, buddy, I appreciate. It all right. Just thinking during the break here, Customs and Border Patrol, they have the opportunity right now to do something epic in Charlotte and not show up. And I'm not saying I don't want them to show up. I'm just saying, like, now that everybody has worked themselves into this frothy lather, sorry who my apologies, and now that everybody's all worked up about it, CBP should just go right to New Orleans. You know, because they say they're going to go to New Orleans, they're only going to be here for a brief stint, is what the reports were. Just brief. I don't know how brief is brief. I don't know how many days or weeks or months what they considered to be brief, I do not know. But if they were to just like bypass Charlotte completely and just go right into New Orleans, get a jumpstart on that whole operation, everybody in Charlotte would be like, we did it, we got them out, blah blah blah. They would do all of that and then you come back. Then you do your brief stint on the back end after everybody's like, you know, forgotten about all this stuff, and they're like, oh, we. Did it, we won. That's how you fight Orange Hitler. Yeah, and then you you push all that down to New Orleans first, and then after New Orleans then you come back. Another thing. CBP like they're criticized for, like they're not even doing like ice rates, because ICE is doing ice rates. Ice is operating already in Charlotte Mecklemburg. Okay, they're already going around targeting different criminals, picking them up and that sort of thing. And by the way, if you are an illegal alien and you try to interfere with those arrests, then you're probably gonna get picked up too. That's how that happens. And so that's already occurring. Here's my guess. And I don't know. I have no contacts inside of Customs and Border Patrol. I've not reached out to anybody to try to get the low down or anything. I'm just looking at the news reports and such. But if I had to guess, here's my guess. Ice and maybe some local law enforcement or state law enforcement. Maybe I don't know, but most likely in my scenario, in my theory, that maybe ICE has discovered something and they want more backup, They want more boots on the ground to do a targeted operation. Hence the brief stint, right that they're coming here for a specific operation. And so when I hear these local elected officials and left wing activists do their press conference and they're talking about how customs and Border Patrol were just out there patrolling around the streets and they're just walking around and picking up litter and we don't need them to pick Literally one of them said this today at the press conference. You'll hear it. Oh, they're just picking up litter. We could pick up our own litter, can we? Though I'm not so sure about that. Okay, I've been in Charlotte a long time. I'm not sure that we do know how to first off, not litter, second of all, pick it up. So there is that, but. This idea that CBP is just going to do a brief stint to what just walk around and just go up and randomly, you know, question people and. Find out if they're an illegal alien or not, and that sort of thing. Look, they very well could do that. I guess I don't know, but that would seem like a longer term operation than a brief stint. Otherwise, what's the point of that? But maybe they do. I don't know. Again, we're all just theorizing here because CBP for some reason won't tell us exactly what they're going to be doing and where. How dare they? By the way, I would also like all of law enforcement to let us know when you're going to be doing targeted traffic enforcement putting up roadblocks and stuff, DOUI check points. Oh. Also, if you're going to be doing a drug rate or something, could you let me know about that too, No reason, just you know, I just don't want to have the. Community in fear. That's it. See, I am the moral one in that scenario, not you, right, I'm the moral one by wanting the information for the community's fear alleviation efforts. Also, if CBP is just going to be patrolling around, just kind of walking around show a force, how dare they if that is all they're going to be doing. Isn't that sort of like community policing? Isn't that what people say they want cops to do is to walk around on the beat, you know, and talk to the people find out what's going on in the community and all of that. So, like, it seems like a pretty similar model. Or is there something specific about immigration enforcement that you object to, which, look, of course there is. This is the whole point. Democrats do not want illegal aliens to be deported. The That is the underlying premise to all of this. They do not want illegal aliens deported. Period. They will deal with the criminal elements. They'll try to throw some in jail after they've offended like seven, eight, nine hundred times whatever, like, they'll deal with that themselves separately. It's a separate issue for them. They do not want illegal aliens to be deported for various reasons that we have talked about in the past. Primarily number one is it puffs up the population counts and that allows them to control more congressional seats. That's why they're so that's why they're so anxious about all of this. And Democrats keep coming out about this. They have to talk about it like this for their base and they have to do it to preserve their congressional numbers. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast, so if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here.
