[00:00:23] This podcast is also supported by North Carolina businesses, so please consider supporting with the district attorney, Fannie Willis, taking the stand yesterday. I'm not sure, if you get the chance, you should watch it. I'm not sure I have ever seen
[00:01:41] a more amazing real life courtroom.
[00:01:46] And this is like, we watched the Alec Murdock um and uh... so yes of course uh... he heard all about yesterday's testimony and of course you know he reads the new york times and the atlanta uh... journal uh... constipation he reads that every single day and uh... and so yes he was aware of all of the testimony that occurred yesterday
[00:03:01] he just got off the stand that was the last thing that the defense got him to
[00:03:04] testify to Why not just step aside? What's the big deal? Just step aside, right? Let some other prosecutor handle it. Why does it have to be her? So I have some audio, by the way. I have just a couple clips. So you can really kind of get the sense in case you haven't had the time to watch it,
[00:04:21] you know, or hear it.
[00:04:23] Like I pulled three cuts and I want to say, well, yeah, let's say here.
[00:04:27] We got, yeah, we got time. skimmed it more up so and I've probably said some choice things to him about some of the lives they were told. Okay. And printed in the media because you know we used to be in a day and time where you had 60 minutes and people did stories and they verified information
[00:07:01] and you had this great reporting but it seems today be substantive to this. He sent me very nice sermons that have been done. And so we've had conversations about did you listen to that sermon? You know, things of that nature.
[00:07:03] And I would say they were in relationship to this can I think you'll have more than enough ample opportunity on when the state was involved. It's highly offensive when someone lies on you and it's highly offensive when they try to implicate that you slept with somebody the first day you met with them and I take exception to. All right well Miss Willis she'll be have the opportunity to explain all that when it's the
[00:08:20] state's turn to ask more open-ended questions. Right, Miss Merchant. Thank
[00:08:23] you Judge. So again my question was you you met after that isn't true. I need to explain this and I think I get to explain my
[00:09:46] Judge Reeves introduced us
[00:10:45] here. No. And apparently she doesn't understand what being treated as a hostile witness means. She's the district attorney. How do you not know that?
[00:10:49] That means you can lead the witness. That's what the judge said to the attorney,
[00:10:52] said maybe as leading questions because you're trying to just treat her like a hostile witness
[00:10:57] to you trying to go. Yes or no. Yes or no. Yes or no, because she just keeps rambling all day
[00:11:02] long. She did that. All right. Do the current world events have you wondering whether we are here but john has been waiting patiently so it's chat with john welcome to the program yeah i think it's important that we do a public service announcement that make sure that all black people uh... have been notified that everybody who's black and tens of thousands of dollars in their home and they need to grab quickly get security system because they're about to
[00:12:21] be rated that's right
[00:12:22] well
[00:12:22] like this is
[00:12:23] this is what was confirmed today by her dad on the stand it's a good practice you should always have some cash in your house or why what why rob a white guy's house when you got a pencil bill filled with that you still just go for the cash just go for the cancer i don't appreciate the call you know it's a good that is a good psa get a security system maybe a dog or two like a ferocious dog or two you know
[00:13:43] yet that was that was quite the explanation i heard Now, what is some cash to Fannie Williams, or Willis rather, she said anywhere from 500 up to like nine grand, she would have stashed in her house speaks to his credibility or not. But Fannie may have a bigger problem here because of the cash because at one point she was describing how she accumulated the stash of the cash and she said,'t know if it's the same funds or what but there are pretty strict rules about what you can and can't dad lived at the house in atlanta and there's this big debate as to like why she vacated the house
[00:19:01] and he stayed
[00:19:03] because the their story is that she went and uh...
[00:19:07] moved into this uh... And so the question was, wait a minute, if it's too dangerous for you, isn't it too dangerous for your 80-year-old dad? So, yeah. I don't know. But I have no doubt that she moved around in all these different places and is constantly on the move because of death threats. I have no problem believing that whatsoever.
[00:20:21] Email is Pete at thepetecalenershow.com and on Twitter at Petecalener. and then draws down on it and whatever. But they produce no records of any withdrawals from the ATM. They, they, I don't know if they exist, they might, but if you're trying to conceal the relationship, you would not have behaved any differently than the way these two behaved.
[00:21:40] That's the, that was the big takeaway for me was that,
[00:21:43] yeah, you kept this relationship a secret from everybody.
[00:21:46] And now they claim it's cause they're just private people got these different travel agents that he uses. So he buys this stuff and he said he uses his corporate or his business credit card. Well then if you're getting reimbursed from her with cash, are you reimbursing the business? Like there's all sorts of problems on the IRS side of this for them too. Oh yeah.
[00:23:00] Yeah, I sure hope the IRS picks a peek at this too.
[00:23:04] Yeah.
[00:23:05] Especially those 87,000 new ones that we're gonna get.
[00:23:07] That's true. To expand on an answer is to open yourself up to more questions from the opposition. If you need to expand on an answer, you get your attorney to get it out of you. Exactly. I saw a tweet yesterday from a lawyer who said that they don't take lawyers as clients
[00:24:24] for this very reason. realize she did not do herself any favors. She may win, by the way, she might win. I'll go over some of this in the next hour, but she might actually win the question. The judge will let her stay, but we all saw what we saw and her credibility is now damaged. And
