Schumer promises amnesty - where does Roy Cooper stand on this? | Hour 3

This episode is presented by Create A Video – If Democrats win control of Congress, will they rush to give amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens? The top Democrat in the US Senate, Chuck Schumer, says yes. Would Roy Cooper be a vote for amnesty? Most likely. Will any reporter ask him about it? Probably not.

All right, so at the end of the last hour, I pointed out how woke 1.0... is not dead. Despite what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez might have us believe when she made that joke, like, oh, woke 1.0 is crazy, ha ha ha, as if it was over, as if it's done. No, it's not. The people who believed in all of that stupidity, they still believe it. And they are salivating at regaining control So they can run as far to the left as quickly as possible, hopefully, in their minds, permanently so. That's their intention. They have said this. They keep saying it. Right? Woke 1.0, while it may have been crazy, it's not dead. Okay? There has been a lot of pushback to it. Absolutely. However, if the people who believe in it regain control over the levers of government, they will impose it once again because they haven't stopped believing in those things. Okay? Here's a good example. One of the issues that Donald Trump ran on, successfully so, that a lot of voters were very upset about under the Biden administration was illegal immigration. The flooding of the U.S. Border, you know, 10 to 20 million people came across, and a lot of criminals were among that population. And so usually, if you follow some of these national reporters, Bill Mellugian is top on the list, I would say, that whenever there's some sort of, you know, brutal crime that's committed— And he traces it back to, oh, look, this person was an illegal alien admitted into the country under Joe Biden's term. OK, so if you think that's not going to happen. If Democrats take back control of the federal government, I think that you are delusional because. There isn't anything except their electoral prospects. There isn't anything that changed their minds on the fundamental issue. And don't take my word for it. Take their word for it. To wit, Chuck Schumer, right, who everybody anticipates he is likely to be the Senate majority leader if the Democrats win control of the U.S. Senate in about 31 days, right? Here's what he said about immigration. Now, more than ever, we're short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing it on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we're going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers and all of them, because our ultimate goal is to help the dreamers, but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many undocumented there are here. There you go. The only way, the only way that we're going to be successful, he says, is amnesty. Because that's what he's saying. When politicians say this term, pathway to citizenship, that was a term coined by George W. Bush when he and what was it, the gang of, was it a gang of eight or a gang of six? It may have been eight. I think it was eight. This is how Lindsey Graham got the name Grahamnesty. He was part of that gang. And what they pitched at the time, this was 20 years ago, what they pitched was a, quote, pathway to citizenship, which we already have, by the way. We have a pathway to citizenship. It's called the naturalization process. That's the pathway to citizenship. If you want to be a citizen, here's the pathway to do so. What they're talking about is a new pathway that is not initiated by legal immigration. They're saying that if you crashed the gates, you broke into the country, and you're here, well, then we'll give you another pathway to naturalization that's outside of the existing pathway, right? That's amnesty. Amnesty means. that we will not prosecute you for your violation of the law. Right? Just like the draft Dodgers from Vietnam. They got amnesty. They could come back. All is forgiven. That's what we're saying to what he calls what the 11 million or however many there are. That's what he's talking about. So when Chuck Schumer... is out there, and by the way, he's doing this in front of the U.S. Capitol. He's surrounded by activists and such, but also a whole bunch of members of the Democrat Congress, all of his fellow Democrats in Congress. They're all surrounding him at this press conference, and they're applauding him for calling for amnesty for all illegal immigrants, right? So how do you think Roy Cooper votes on this issue. When Roy Cooper goes to Washington, because all the polls are showing that Roy Cooper is. Going to win, but we don't know. I mean, but we know no, to quote Candace Owens. We know. Whatever Chuck Schumer, whatever tune he's going to call, Roy Cooper is going to play. Right? Cooper's not going to, he's not going to buck the leadership on this. He is a vote for amnesty. Clearly. Now, I'm guessing at that based on all of his record, based on his, you know, refusal to force sheriffs in sanctuary counties like Mecklenburg, when the legislature tried to force sheriffs to cooperate with immigration customs enforcement to get criminals out of the country, right? To simply just call ICE and say, Hey, we have an illegal alien in the jail who was arrested for some crime, not being an illegal alien, but was arrested for a crime, but they are an illegal alien. And they were identified through the 287 G program. Well, our sheriff ran on a platform of creating a sanctuary by scrapping the two 87 G program and refusing to cooperate with ice. He ran on that platform. He celebrated it with a cake that said two 87 G and a big red line through it. And then after he won, he did big celebration with the cake and he cut into, and he cut right through the middle of two 87 G and. Oh, yay, Gary, not my fault. McFadden. He's not going to, he's not going to cooperate with ice. And then he proceeded to spend the next, what, six years fighting ICE at every turn, refusing to cooperate, finding any loophole that he could in all the state laws so he could not cooperate with ICE. And Roy Cooper backed him and other sheriffs in Asheville, Wake, Durham, right? These other sheriffs, the quote-unquote woke sheriffs, Roy Cooper covered for them. He vetoed legislation. Whenever the general assembly would try to force these sheriffs to cooperate with ice, Roy Cooper stood with the sheriffs, not with the legislature, not with law enforcement, right? Not with the 95 other sheriffs around the state. That's how I, that that's how I base my belief on what Roy Cooper would do. That's what I base it on. Okay. Now, if, I don't know. Roy Cooper wants to disabuse me of that idea of that belief. Maybe he could speak to this. I'm just kidding. Oh, my gosh. No, I'm just kidding. Roy Cooper is not going to speak about that. Why would he? Nobody's asking him about it. Nobody's asking Roy Cooper what he would agree to, what he would support if he's elected U.S. Senator. See, because if you define, you divide, right? And if he has to define any of his positions on these top issues, like packing the U.S. Supreme Court to create a perpetual left-wing majority that could just make up laws as a supra-legislative body, nobody's asking him about that. So why would he define himself? Why would he define any of his platform? Because then he might divide voters. And that's not the way you win. I used to be a reporter that I have such criticisms against reporting and reporters and the state of our, particularly the political press court. Like I'm not one, like I'm not going to drag reporters or media outlets. I'm not going to drag them for, you know, publishing, you know, three sentences on, you know, a homicide that occurred in some part of town. because I understand that's all the information you've got. CMPD, they're not really forthcoming on any details on really anything anymore. They don't give you access to the incident reports anymore. So it's like, I get it. I understand that. So I'm not going to drag them for that sort of reporting for that sort of coverage. However, when it comes to political reporting, right? Your job is to tell your audience that, where particular candidates stand on various issues so you can have an informed electorate. This experiment in self-governance does not work without an educated population. And educated doesn't just mean you graduated from high school. We're not even really doing that very well. It doesn't just mean that. It also means educated about the system of government that we have, why we have it, what the particular candidates are promoting, what their policy positions are, what their general philosophy on governing is, what their records are. But all we get, virtually all we get, is the horse race coverage. And this is the term for it. I didn't make this up. This is the term for it in journalisming. It's the horse race coverage. It's so-and-so is ahead. Well, I'll use Cooper and Watley for the U.S. Senate race. Cooper's ahead in this poll. Oh, here's another poll. Cooper's leading. Oh, here's some media buys. And Watley's spending this and Cooper's spending that. Oh, they're moving money out of North Carolina. Oh, they're moving money in. Oh, Cooper's still leading in the polls. What can Whatley do to increase his name recognition in the polls? That's all we get. That doesn't tell us anything about the candidates and their positions. Nothing. That's one of the benefits of having debates is that you can ask candidates about their positions. But as I said earlier, Roy Cooper leading in the polls has no incentive to do a debate. Zero incentive. And there is, as far as I can tell, there is no pressure being brought to bear on Roy Cooper to participate in a debate. No pressure from media. I'm sure there have been requests. I believe we've made requests. He's not going to say yes. One time a couple weeks ago, he was asked if he would debate, and do you remember his answer? We played the clip. He said, I'll have my people take a look at it to see if it's something we can do. As if he's an innocent bystander in his own campaign. Like, dude, if you want to debate, you make that happen. But he does not want to debate. Why would he? Why would he? He's already leading in the polls. If he gets on that stage, what does he benefit? What does he gain? Politically, personally, what does he gain? Very little. Like he wins by even more? Like he mops the floor with Michael Watley and so then he gets an extra two or three points in the vote totals? Well, he's already leading, right? If you're going to go by the polling. So he's already leading. So what? He adds a little bit more to the lead. Big whoop. The downside, he gets up there, says some stupid stuff, is forced to actually explain how he would vote on certain issues, and then people get scared of him. Maybe people flip their votes. Now they don't want to vote for the guy because they're like, oh my gosh, you're going to vote for amnesty for illegal aliens. Because he will. Or he's going to lie on the stage. Right? So most of the outcomes of him going into a debate would be bad for his campaign. So that's why he won't do it. That's why it's even more important for the political reporters to get these questions asked. And if he refuses to answer them, then you report that he's refusing to tell us what he will do on these, you know, 15 issues. That's your job. The Republic depends on it. Like literally, All right, real quick. Every government number gets revised, right? Every projection gets walked back. Gold does not file corrections like GovCo. Or if you want to talk to somebody, you can call 888-465-3049. All right, so horse race coverage, horse race reporting. Perfect example of it appeared at the Charlotte Observer. Usual suspect here. President Donald Trump told reporters outside the White House Friday he's concerned about North Carolina Senate candidate Michael Watley's campaign as the top Republican super PAC paused spending on ads in the race. This is like, uh, four pages, three pages, a three page report by Danielle Bataglia. Trump's comment, quote, he's a great man. I am worried about him. I hope he wins. He's a great man. And he was a great leader for the whole Republican party when I won and he'd be a great Senator. End quote. Reporters asked Trump about the Senate leadership funds decision to pause spending on ads in North Carolina Senate race. just a month before the election. Democrats need to flip four seats this fall to win a majority. Later on, the Senate Leadership Fund already has invested $ 30 million into this North Carolina race. Wiley's campaign isn't counting himself out yet. Chuck Schumer said, the fact that the biggest Republican Senate super PAC took its money out of North Carolina today and put it into Kansas says all you need to know about which direction the Senate majority is headed. Well, he posted that on a social media post. Probably X. The Senate Leadership Fund is not the only PAC signaling Whatley is in trouble in the election against Cooper. And down the stretch they come. It looks like Watley's not going to be able to turn it on before. I'm sorry, am I allowed to say that? Did I just violate a copyright? Isn't that a copyright? It's like you can't say Super Bowl. You got to say the big game. It's like the let's get ready to do something before a boxing match. I can't say that either because that's copyrighted. I hope I did not. My apologies. Like that phrase about the stretch and the coming down it, like I think that's also copyrighted. So I apologize. I did not. But that's what we're watching. That's what this story is. That's all it is. It's just, oh, this horse is ahead. This horse is ahead. lagging behind this horse is ahead this horse is lagging behind political pundits believe North Carolina Senate race is the most likely to flip yes so we are focused on predictions that then support that right that's the idea here just keep reinforcing the narrative over and over and over again, going on and on and on about the chances that Cooper has. He's won statewide before. Wiley's never run before. But you got to flesh out the story. You got to make the word count, right? So other Republicans throughout North Carolina are facing uphill battles in their election cycles. And then they proceed to talk about the 1st Congressional District, the 11th Congressional District, Representative Greg Murphy, and. The polling, and which way it's flipping. Is the Cook Political Report leaning it this way or that way? We need to know what might happen or not. This is of no value to a voter. What is of value is... where the candidates stand on the issues they are most likely going to be called upon to vote on. So, here's a more relevant poll from the Carolina Journal. They asked voters, likely general election voters, 608 likely general election voters, were asked to assess... whether Roy Cooper would support the Democratic Socialists of America's policy priorities. That's a fair question, because we don't know. Well, we did get a bit of a glimpse when somebody with an undercover camera at a Roy Cooper event asked him about the DSA, would he work with the DSA, And, you know, Cooper is at a Democrat event because he's not doing any kinds of like open Q & A town hall style events. So these are all tightly managed. So, you know, he doesn't want to be speaking at a Democrat event and saying anything that would alienate any Marxists. Right. Because he needs Marxists to vote for him. So even if he doesn't want to work with Marxists, he can't say that at a Democrat event. So what does he say? He says on the undercover video, he says that he'll work with anybody, including the DSA. Will he? Don't know. Is that just what he's saying inside a closed Democrat loop? Don't know. Would he say that on a stage, on a debate stage? Don't know. And nobody's asking him. No reporters are asking him. So he doesn't have to say, probably by design, because they kind of want to help him out, right? They recognize that the DSA is kind of a toxic brand when it comes to general elections. It's very popular among the Democrats, like two-thirds of Democrats have positive views of Marxism. But you get outside of just that Democrat loop and now you're talking to people who have very, very negative views of Marxism and the DSA. So, considering we don't have any information about where Roy Cooper stands on the DSA policy priorities, like packing the U.S. Supreme Court, abolishing the Senate, abolishing the Electoral College, opening the borders, defunding the police. Implementing a wealth tax, giving amnesty to all of the illegal aliens, right? Because we don't know where Roy Cooper stands, we have to guess, right? So what do you think he will do? What's your guess? That's what the Carolina poll asked. You'll never guess what people believe Roy Cooper will do. Three out of five voters, so 60%, believe Roy Cooper will will support DSA policies. Count me in that 60%. 35% said it was very likely he would do so. More Republicans than Democrats and independents said that he's likely to support that. So this is interesting. Republicans.... Republicans and conservatives have a clearer view of how Roy Cooper will behave than Democrats and independents do. Why is that? Why do you think that is? Is it because conservatives consume media that actually tells them Roy Cooper's actions and his positions that we do know about? And the Democrats and independents They're not getting that information? So they somehow think that he's not going to vote for DSA priorities? Why would you think that? Or maybe they're lying to the pollster. Don't know. But even a majority of them say it. Even a majority of Democrats and Independents, both, 54% of Democrats and 53% of Independents, believe Roy Cooper will vote to support DSA policies. Which means.... If we are correct, if everybody who is saying that he's going to vote with DSA priorities, if we are right, that means he is functionally, practically, no different than a Marxist DSA candidate. He is no different. It doesn't matter to me if you're a card-carrying member of the DSA if you vote with the DSA. I don't care. Because the line between the two entities has been so blurred. that there is no practical difference. That's what Roy Cooper represents. Most voters know it. Most voters know it. Is that what we want to empower in DC? Seth on the text line says, uh, the mainstream medium legacy media is literally pushing who they want to win by the horse race coverage. People like to be on the winning side of winners and winning. Yeah, that is part of the demoralization strategy as well. You tell somebody, oh, they're shooing to win, shooing to win. It helps to suppress turnout of your opponents, right? In this case, Republicans are made to believe there's no point in voting. How could we ever win? There's no way Republicans are ever going to win. So why bother? So that's one part of it. And then the other part is for the mushy middle types who just want to go with whoever's winning. Then they're going to look at the headlines and, oh, Roy Cooper's winning, so I'm going to vote for Roy Cooper, so I'm on the winning team. Yay, we win. Mm-hmm. You've won Marxism. Congratulations. Oh, sure. Let's talk with Jackie. Welcome to the program. Hello, Jackie. Hey, sir. How you doing, man? I'm all right. Hey, you know, this race between Wadley and Cooper has turned into a race where it's not about issues anymore. It was never, Jackie, it was never about issues. It has never been about issues. Well, it's not, and that's why Cooper's going to win. And, you know, using Trump's terms, you know, when you look at Michael Wadley, you see low energy and somebody who looks a little sleepy, man. You don't think Roy Cooper looks sleepy? The guy could stand to get that eyelid droop surgery. But he looks wide awake compared to Michael Wiley. No, he doesn't. Yes, he does. No, to you. So, Jackie, what you are describing is what we call low information voting. Well, I know, I know. I agree with you. I agree with you, but I'm just saying. Because I ran through it. We made it into a promo, if I recall correctly. We ran through these issues with you a couple weeks ago, and I asked you a series of questions about where Roy Cooper stands on a whole host of matters, and you didn't know. And that's fine by you. You don't need to know. You don't need to know if Roy Cooper is going to vote with Marxists. But apparently a lot of other people feel the same way. That doesn't make it right or smart. I'm not saying it's right. Or smart. I'm not saying anything about right or smart. But even since you and I talked last time, apparently the lead has widened for Cooper. Yeah, there's the horse race again. Huh? Yeah, you're doing the exact same thing that I've been criticizing the reporters for doing, which is all you're focused on is the horse race. So, Jackie, let's just recap your call, right? Your call is that it's about likability and it's about polling the horse race. Who's in the lead? Who's in the lead? Nothing to do, nothing at all to do with the substance of what the two campaigns are about. So why do you think Roy Cooper's going to win? I have no idea if he's going to win. I don't make predictions on elections. I don't make the predictions on elections. I don't. Because I don't trust the polls. If he wins, if he wins, why do you think he, he, he'll win? For the reasons I've, for the reasons I've outlined that all we're getting is horse race coverage. That's what we're getting. And people want to be in the winning team, right? And a demoralization campaign against Republicans. Also, people don't like the idea that the guy they voted for for statewide office might be terrible, so they. Don't want to admit they made any mistakes. That's another problem. So then you would say the majority of the voters who vote for Cooper are wrong then, right? I would say so, sure. Okay. And uninformed. Uninformed and as unable to articulate an actual good reason to vote for him as you were unable to do so in this call, too. All right, that'll do it for this episode.
