I was just, I was just confirming, just watching a video clip and confirming. Former Governor Roy Cooper, a.k.a. my good friend Ray, cut him loose, Cooper. He turned out at a polling station today to early vote. Today's the first day of early voting, so he turned out to vote early, made a big photo op out of it, had a whole bunch of his supporters with signs lining the sidewalk as he pulls up in his tinted window, black SUV, very environmentally friendly. Well, it could be an EV. I don't know. And he gets out, and he does a jog up to the beginning of this line. It's like a hype line that he's got all along the sidewalk, and he's high-fiving everybody as he's running up the sidewalk, high-fiving, high-fiving. Actually, here, hang on. I have to plug that in here. yeah there you go they were playing the jamming out music going on and uh and he jogs up and uh yes obvious photo op is obvious he had a half a dozen uh videographers that were it was comical because like as he's as he's doing the hype line and high-fiving everybody going down the line and uh he's got there's like six camera operators that are in front of him. And, and they're all like crouched down getting all of like from the, from the below the waistline angle. Okay. That's probably not the best way to say that, but like from a low angle shooting up, you know, and they're all just like walking along with them, like this whole Hollywood production thing of him doing the hype line. I'm sure the video will be posted if it's not already on social media, you know, super excited for Rick. go to DC and fix all the problems and make stuff cost less for us. And number one, why jog? Why are you running up to this line? Giving off serious Biden vibes here. I'm not sure the campaign realized that. I know why you would do the jog. I do. Because remember yesterday, yesterday we talked about the story out of the North state journal by AP Dylan, who joins us every Monday here on the show. And they had been asking about whether he would serve out his full six years if elected and whether he had any health issues. And then they said, sources have said that he has been experiencing a neurological issue, something like that. And they said, were immediately responded to, well, within, it was like four hours, they got a cease and desist letter from his law firm, the Mark Elias Law Group, okay? Just scumbag lawyer. So one of the lawyers for this law firm, they sent a cease and desist to a media outlet that was asking, are you going to serve out your six years and do you have any health issues? Sources have told us there's some neurological thing. Don't you dare print that. That's defamatory. Okay? So, again, does any of this sound familiar? As soon as anybody starts asking this question, a lawyer jumps into the fray and is like, shut up. Don't you dare print any of that. Don't you dare ask that question. You could have just said, no neurological issues, no health issues. Yes, he's going to serve out his six years. But they didn't do that. And I wondered yesterday, why? Why would you send a cease and desist unless you're very worried that there may actually be some credible information that would make people doubt. So you don't want the story to go to print on the day before early voting begins, right? So, go back to the video. Roy Cooper exits the vehicle and he jogs up to the line. What is that meant to show us? What are we meant to take away From the six different camera angles of Roy Cooper trotting up to the line to go vote and high-fiving people. Look at me. I'm spry. I'm fit as a fiddle. I am as fit as a fiddle as Joe Biden was when I said he was fit as a fiddle. When I was saying he should be the president for another four years. I don't see any signs of mental deterioration. Nothing. Cognitive decline. Nothing. And woe unto you, you Nazi sympathizer for asking that question. Fast forward to the debate performance and then all of a sudden it's, oh my gosh, I don't know who this person is. I can't believe he's in such mental decline. I don't get it. He needs to go. Coup, everybody. Let's coup him out of there. So that's, to me, like I see this video and it's like, that's what, that's why he's jogging. He's running up the line, high-fiving everybody. And I just saw, apparently, after he went and early voted for himself, probably, but who knows? He may have voted for Watley. Don't know. He comes out and he takes a couple of questions. No cease and desist threats there. And our pal Brian Anderson, the guy who asked Watley to name a bunch of players for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes team, the hockey team, because some staffer for the Watley campaign put out a tweet of support for the Carolina Hurricanes while they were in the Stanley Cup Finals. So therefore, he's obviously pitching himself as a big Hurricanes fan, so we need to know, how many players can you name? That Brian Anderson. He asks the question, are you going to serve out the full term? And you can't, I can't play the audio because it's just, it's really bad audio. It's outside in the parking lot. It's really noisy. You can't really make it out. But Cooper says, absolutely. Maybe even at six, another six year term after that. Yuck, yuck, yuck. As far as I know, and I did ask on the Twitter machine, I did follow up with Brian Anderson. I said, hey, did you, ask the follow-up, which would be, are you suffering from any health issues? You would ask that question. The question that you were told you're not allowed to ask for fear of being sued, reporters, actual journalists would ask that question and then ask, why are you threatening media outlets with cease and desist letters and threats of litigation for defamation and for simply asking a question. Like those would be the natural follow-ups that journalists would ask. I know I speak as a former journalist. I used to be a reporter. I am not anymore. I'm not a journalist now, but I still remember some of the things that I would do as a reporter. Okay. So I'm speaking from my schooling and my career. Now, nobody asked that as far as I can tell, but You know, at least we got the question as to whether he intends to serve out the six years because I'm sure nothing could ever happen during six years that may alter that decision, right? Just like Joe Biden. So there's your update on my good friend, Ray Cooper. Mark says, I thought it was wrong to have a campaign event so many feet from a polling place. That is correct. You're not actually allowed to do this kind of a hype walk with the blaring music and all your supporters with the signs. You're not allowed to do that. That's electioneering within a certain amount of feet from a polling place. So I don't know where this polling place is because it was up in Raleigh where he was voting. So I don't know the facility. Maybe they just staged this on the other side of the building for the photo op purpose. And so to actually vote, he would have to go all the way back around. Maybe he turned around and went back to his car and drove around to the other side of the building or something. Because, yeah, this is otherwise prohibited activity. You're not allowed to do this in front of the polling station. But I don't know where the actual entrance to the polling place is, so I cannot say that he violated the law here because I don't know. But hopefully one of those– One of those shoe leather journalists out there in the parking lot asking these tough questions. Maybe they could, I don't know, maybe they could inquire about that as well. Skippy says those fake enthusiasm photo shoots are sickening, especially if someone that if if someone that shows no or from someone that shows no enthusiasm, uh, Russ says, wait, your polling place doesn't make hype videos for everybody when they vote. No, that's, I've never gotten the hype walk up. I've never gotten that, but I've never run for office either. And I've also never had six camera people following me around, but I, I'm actually, I'm okay with that. I'm a radio guy. Uh, it wouldn't matter if, uh, Ray broke the law. He is a Democrat. That's right. That's the Democrat privilege, uh, that they get. So, uh, Last hour, we talked about the banks. Bank of America just got fined this $ 1 billion fine for overlooking and apparently not paying much attention to a cease and desist where they overlooked basically money laundering by foreign countries through their bank. And there's another story that broke yesterday. And this has been a long time coming. We have... had intermittent reports of this, of examples of this, and now it's all put together in a final report that came from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, or the OCC, okay? It's a government entity. This from the New York Post's Miranda Devine, Major banks closed accounts and refused credit to MAGA merchants, pro-life causes, religious groups, conservative organizations, and sectors, industries disfavored by the Biden administration, such as firearms, oil and gas, and private prisons. So they used the banking system against American citizens and businesses. That's what this report shows. It's called the Debanking Review by the OCC. It investigated 100,000 complaints and scrutinized 50,000 internal bank records to reveal how customers were debanked based purely on their political, social, or religious beliefs. Who was investigated? Glad you asked. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citibank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, Capital One, PNC, TD Bank, and BMO Bank. Never heard of that one. They were all found to have discriminated against American consumers, citing reputational risk as a reason to deny service between 2020 and and 2025. Reputational risk from half the country. Right? That's what we're talking about. And really, not even half the country. Maybe a third. That's the reputational risk. Right? Because I have no problem with any of these banks giving a bank account to some guy selling MAGA merchandise. I would suspect half the country would not have a problem with that. I would like to think that most Americans, like the vast majority of Americans, would not have a problem with some guy printing up a bunch of MAGA t-shirts, selling them, and opening up a bank account to put the money in. But apparently, that would cause reputational risk. So they shut down people's bank accounts. As I said, we've known that this was occurring. We have not known to what extent. And now we have a better idea. Negative press, protests, criticism from advocacy groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, the SPLC, those moon bats, as well as reprisals from regulators or politicians who were all cited as the reputational risks most feared by the banks. So their reputational risk was, oh my gosh, we can't allow a religious group to open a bank account with us because we're afraid of a news story? Of a news story about this religious group. Well, why would you be afraid of a news story about the religious group? Unless what? Unless leftists went and found out somehow that they are banking with your bank and then they target your bank saying you shouldn't be doing business with that religious group. Right. Criticism from advocacy groups. Right. This is, quote, cancel culture. That's what this is. This is censorship. This is shut upery. This is you're not allowed to participate in the democracy. All right, real quick. Every government number gets revised, right? Every projection gets walked back. Gold does not file corrections like GovCo. Or if you want to talk to somebody, you can call 888-465-3049. From the text line, 803 number says, Fox News was reporting this a couple of years ago when it was happening during the last of the Biden years. The question is, why is this just now being reported by the New York Times? Well, first off, what I'm reading from is the New York Post. So I'm not sure. Maybe the Times has reported on this. I don't know. I don't I don't pay the New York Times for anything. But if they are reporting it, it would be because this report was finally published. The debanking review by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. So they did a review of the allegations, 100,000 complaints. And they went in and looked at emails and communications inside of all of these banks. and they compiled this report, and the report just dropped this week. And so if anybody's reporting on it now, it's because of this report that was published. Victor says, I am a reputational risk. It would make for a great t-shirt. It would. That would. I am a reputational, or just reputational risk. Dan says, Pete, instead of saying debanked, Just say discriminated against. Even Democrats understand that term. That's true. That is what occurred. Garrett says, not surprising at all about the debanking scheme. Seems to be on par. Just remember the IRS targeting conservatives at a higher rate. That's true. I remember the Tea Party era. When the IRS was doing deep investigations into any entity that popped up that had Patriot or Tea Party in its name, and then they wouldn't give them nonprofit status so they couldn't organize before the election during Obama's term. And then when all of it came out, started to come out, they tried to get ahead of it. Lois Lerner, remember her? She tried to get ahead of it by planting a question on a Zoom call, a press conference call with A bunch of friendly media. And she planted the question about, oh, I've heard this is happening, whatever, whatever. And then she gave a canned answer, rehearsed answer that it was a low level employee in the Cincinnati field office. And that was that's what that was all about. And then, of course, it turns out that wasn't the case. And learner pleads the fifth and walks away, retires early, no other problems for her really. So yeah, this is what Democrats do. So today early voting began in North Carolina. So this is what is on the line. Like this is why I do these stories. I'm trying to convey the, The choices that we have, they're not great choices all the time. I get that. However, do you want this path where you're not having your bank account shut down because of your political affiliation or donations? In fact, there's another story here. Our old colleague here, former WBT host Tara Servatius, she's responding here to the report from yesterday that the Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, per a memo obtained by Fox News Digital, found that former special counsel Jack Smith's Arctic Frost probe swept up 639,000 Republican voters and donors' records. And she asks the most important question, she says, the one Republicans don't seem to be asking, which is, What was the plan for all of these lists? What were Democrats planning to do with these lists? The Biden administration mapped the entire GOP ecosystem, including people who gave as little as $ 5 to Trump or bought MAGA hats. And they sweep up names, addresses, banking information, hundreds of thousands of these people. Why? What are you looking for? And what are you going to do with these lists? Well, if we look at the debanking review by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, we may get a clue. There may be some insight here. The 47-page OCC report called Guaranteeing Fair Banking for All Americans says, was released yesterday and it found that the nation's largest banks targeted Christian organizations over abortion, LGBTQ plus 2 IASNL issues, and traditional family values. The banks also restricted financing for what they called disfavored industries, like firearms makers, retailers, Arctic oil and gas. Oh, yeah. Early voting underway. You're mad about gas prices. So here's an idea. Vote for the people that were opposed to all of the oil and gas exploration and drilling and production and distribution and refining, right? Vote for those people. Yeah, they're going to make energy costs come down for you. Other industries that were disfavored? Coal, detention facilities, tobacco, and e-cigarettes. Among the examples in the report is JPMorgan Chase's payment operation was called WePay. It closed the account of a merchant who was selling merchandise promoting President Trump and the Make America Great Again brand. And you know what their rationale for shutting down this guy's merchant account was? They said it, quote, promoted hate, violence, or racial intolerance. That's what they see the Republican Party is, that they believe this. They believe this. And so they feel then justified in prohibiting you from participating in the free market. That's what they're doing. That's what they feel empowered and completely morally justified to do. Because they disagree with your politics, you are unpersoned. You are not allowed to participate in the democracy. So yes, you can sit out the election and let those people take back control. I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm sure they won't try to pursue any of the things they did pursue before when they had the power and are promising to continue to pursue. I'm sure they won't. I'm sure the Republicans will learn a lesson. You can tell them that. When you're sitting next to them in the chow line at the gulag. Hello, Susan. Welcome to the show. Hi. Thanks, Pete. I wanted to ask you if you knew the difference between a banker and a pawnbroker. I mean, aside from the names? Yes. What is the difference between a pawnbroker and a banker? A manicure. All right. Thank you, Susan. I'm not sure I get it. Do all bankers get manicures? Is that the joke? Is that right? I don't know. Yeah. Never had a manicure in my life. So I guess I'm a pawnbroker in that. I don't know. Although I have heard some guys do get the pedicures. And they say it's very valuable. I wouldn't know. I haven't had one of those either. I'm a man who clips his own toenails. All right. Back to the New York Post article by Miranda Devine about this report issued yesterday. It was the debanking review report by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency or the OCC or as I call it the OCC. The bank's This is talking about JPMorgan Chase. Sorry. Their internal screening system regularly flagged terms such as MAGA, Make America Great, and America First. If any of these terms appeared in merchants' customer profiles, websites, or transaction information, that's how they were flagging you. Merchandise that raised red flags included a T-shirt that said Biden illegitimate or the big lie or Trump won. A merchant was debanked for processing payments for a planned event after the event organizer posted promotional material on social media that bank employees decided was, quote, an incitement of hate. The Post described Black Lives Matter as Marxists. Fact check, true. And called President Biden and Anthony Fauci the enemy. That's what got somebody debanked. And by the way, the founders of Black Lives Matter, self-professed Marxists. So he posted something that was true. See, this isn't about, this isn't even viewpoint discrimination. right? This is about censorship of truth because it, it, uh, obviously conflicted with these bank employees, their own political views. Banks regularly used hate group designations from the SPLC to debank customers. Of course, the SPLC has been indicted in federal court for fraud and money laundering charges. JP Morgan's, we pay, uh, closed the account of a religious organization, also closed an account used to raise funds to support a legal challenge of anti-discrimination laws by a quote-unquote devout Christian. That was enough to get somebody debanked, being a devout Christian. PNC Bank refused to issue a line of credit to a successful media company, because the bank's environmental and social governance group noted that one owner had a foundation that, quote, has funded several Christian conservative groups, including those identified as, quote, unquote, hate groups by the SPLC, again, charged with fraud. So this is the problem with these ESG programs, that all of the big corporations and the banks embedded into their organizations, right? Then you literally hired these people in to then do this work, and then they weaponized those corporate organizations against their own customers, against their fellow Americans. That's what this report is detailing. Wells Fargo. pressured a payment processor to terminate a religious nonprofit because of its views on same-sex marriage. Wells Fargo declined to lend money to two different firearms businesses, with employees fearing repercussions from the Biden administration and criticism from anti-gun activists and anti-gun members of Congress. These are all politically motivated decisions. Bank of America. They debanked private prison businesses. citing, quote, changing policymaker attitudes. So what are they detailing here? When it's not outright viewpoint discrimination that they're talking about that's driving these decisions, it's fear of weaponized government. It's fear of left-wing politicians in positions of power that then drop the hammer on these businesses. At least that's what they're saying. That's the cover story. All nine banks told the OCC they had revised their practices. The regulator said the reforms have not gone far enough, though, and no bank had fully and publicly acknowledged its weaponization of finance against Americans. Now, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says has launched an investigation into all of these banks. They announced that yesterday. Comptroller of the currency, Jonathan V. Gould, said the OCC is considering further action to stop banks from discriminating against customers on the basis of their political or religious beliefs. Final part of this story from the New York Post. The review says, followed President Trump's executive order directing federal banking regulators to combat politicized or unlawful debanking. That happened in August of 2025. An executive order declared, quote, no American should be denied access to financial services because of their constitutionally or statutorily protected beliefs, affiliations, or political views. Trump is also suing JPMorgan Chase, alleging it closed his accounts in 2021 for political reasons. Members of his own family also complained they were debanked at the time, along with several Trump businesses. Tech founder Mark Andreessen has claimed tech entrepreneurs were also debanked under a program by the Biden administration because they were operating disfavored businesses like cryptocurrency. Americans who believe they were unfairly debanked can visit helpwithmybank.gov. helpwithmybank.gov. They set up a website for you. So once again, if you think there's no difference between the political parties and you think the Republicans need to learn a lesson so you're going to stay home, this is what our opponents would do because it's what they've already done. They will use the power of government to weaponize it against you for your political and religious beliefs. The evidence is here. Again, thank you so much for listening, and don't break anything while I'm gone.
