So there is a press conference occurring right now up in New York City. The Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome is holding it. It's been going on for probably ten or fifteen minutes so far, but let me pick it up here and see what she's talking about in light of yesterday's shooting up in Minneapolis. So Director Russo spoke about how this operation happened discreetly, under the cover of darkness, and that's how it should be, which is in contrast to what happened in Minneapolis yesterday. You said, what do you mean in contrast. That was very much not because. Of the protesters and the violent criminals that were attacking our law enforcement. If you remember in that operation, what happened was our officers were out trying to get a car stuck out of the snow when they were surrounded and assaulted and blocked in by protesters that were inciting. The officer was following his training. He did follow his training because of an individual that was. Point blank into a driver's window. Is that part of the training? Is that? How is that self defense? This is an experienced officer who followed his training, and we will continue to let the investigation unfold into the individual and continue to follow the procedures and policies that happened in these use of force cases. But let's remember the events that surrounded what happened yesterday on that tragic situation, was that these individuals had followed our officers all day, had harassed them, had blocked them in, They were impeding our law enforcement operations, which is against the law. And when they demanded and commanded her to get out of her vehicle several times, she did not. So we'll continue to allow this process to unfold and recognize that these law enforcement officers, every single day put their lives on the line. They go out and do their jobs. They got in domestic terrorists, though without this was. An act of domestic terrorism, which is perpetuating who. She was or what she was about. And yet now you're saying, these policies and procedures that follow a use of force situation like this are continuing to be put in place. So this is standard operating procedure after every use of force situation, is that we followed these procedures and protocols. This situation is no different. Now, this young lady right beside you, I'll come to you next. Should we expect a surge of agents. In New York City? Should we expect a surge of. Agents in the New York SITIS administration are focused on protecting people, so we will never telegraph exactly the numbers and operations that we have and where we will be focused on. But I think that when you see violent criminals that are taking advantage of Americans since of putting their lives in jeopardy, our law enforcement officers at DHS will always show up. Yes, I'll come back, I'll come back. Go ahead. The officer involved in the shooting yesterday, has he been suspended or season in the field. The officer went to the hospital he was hit by the vehicle and went to hospital and received treatment was released in a spending time with his family. Now, yes, Sir, in Minneapolis, yesterday you said the surge there would continue, while you didn't directly say whether we can expect an ice surge for civil importation enforcement, can you explain what a surge is? And I won't describe in detail our law enforcement operations that we have. It's just it puts our officers' lives in jeopardy. But they will be there enforcing the laws of this country and upholding the public safety needs that have to happen when it comes to enforcing federal law. Just you know, only security investigations. You know, We've got thousands of officers there and I'm not opposed to sending more if necessary to keep people safe. Compare Secretary, can you talk a little bit of about the experience of the officer in some of his background. How much training did he have, How much training in these types of situations did you have, even if it's from the region. Yeah, I'm not going to get specific to this officer, but he's an experienced officer that has served a number of years and we recognize that he acted according to his training and we have expected all the policies and procedures of review will be exactly that he acted appropriately to preaffect his life and the life of his colleagues and fellow law enforcement officers that were there in people that were surrounding. ID like to get your reaction on some of the rhetoric here in New York City. Mayor Zora Mangani responded to the shooting yesterday, saying that this is only the latest horror in a year full of cruelty. He called it an attack on us all and the New York stands with immigrants today and every day. Also, council members last night at the protest called this fascism. The New York City's Public Advocate, Jimani Williams, said that your administration is quote doing the devil's work, and he asked New York City to stand up and show up. Quote. It's going to be difficult and there are going to be casualties. And the last comment that was made last night at the protest was from New York State Representative Alex Borros, also a Democrat. Quote, not only was the Ice agent's hand on the gun, but Secretary knows hand was on the gun. President Trump's hand was on the gun. What is your response to you or Democratic leaders those particular comments and the protesters that are outside. We say those comments are why we're standing where we are today. That kind of language and that kind of provocative talk, inciting people to take action and perpetuate violence in some cases is unacceptable, and especially of elected leaders. We have a responsibility to state the facts, to go out and enforce the law. Your mayor just said in that statement that he was going to stand with illegal people who have broken our law before he's going to put New York City citizens first. His job and why he was elected was to protect the people who live here that had the opportunity to vote for him and have the opportunity to live in this city. They pay their taxes, they go to work every day, and instead the mayor in that statement chose to stand with illegals instead of those individuals who just want the chance to raise their families in New York City and have a part of the American dream. Yes, the head of Minnesota State Investigations Agency so that they could cut out of the investigation into the fatal shooting in Minneapolis, can you explain that reversal. I'd like to know where they've been and why they're not out on the streets investigating all of these people that are harassing and inciting violence on law enforcement officers right now. They're allowing the situation to be volatile. They're not doing their work. They haven't for years, and maybe they should get to work a little bit on the unprecedented fraud that we've seen in Minnesota and in Minneapolis by people that stole from American citizens and diverted funds away from vulnerable people and programs and services that they needed and put it into their own pockets. Minnesota is a train wreck. It is corrupt, and it was under the leadership of Governor Walls and this mayor that they allowed it to happen, and they let criminals in illegals and people abuse programs and steal the money, and now they're allowing violence to go forward on the streets as well. The police department, county sheriffs, the federal party at this point, they don't. Want I want to put a blanket statement out like those other individuals will. What I would say is I welcome them to come and help us, Come help us make sure that the streets are safe, that laws are in force and that we can do the right thing to make sure that American citizens come first. Yes, sir, they have. Not been cut out. They don't have any jurisdiction in this investigation. Yes, go ahead, I'm going to speak to this individual right here. Say down from w pi X TV, how do you respond to Americans who have been listening to your comments that this was an active domestic terrorism that the officer was hit. Anytime you take something, it. Is in direct contradiction to what they are seeing and watching. In the multiple angles that have been. Released, this vehicle was used to hit this officer, It was used as a weapon, and the officers feels as though his life was in jeopardy. It was used to perpetuate a violent act. That this officer took action to protect himself and to protect his fellow law enforcement officers. So we'll let this continue to go forward and follow the same policies and procedures that every use of forest situation does. But we've had almost over one hundred times that these vehicles have been used to ram law enforcement officers and to do damage and to harm them. When you take an action and use a weapon to harm someone into incite violence against them and try to cause them injury or death. Then it needs to be labeled exactly what it was. All right. So that's Christy Known, the Secretary of Homeland Security. She's up in New York City today right now, whereas yesterday she was up in Minnesota, in Minneapolis for the operation that was up there that resulted in the shooting of thirty seven year old Renee Nicole Good. She died at the scene. We are going to get into the details. We're going to get into the backgrounds, We're going to get into the nullification that's occurring right now. And you're hearing another example of it with these reporters and the quotes that they're giving from Democrats. What's very clear is that there is a not small contingent of Americans and particularly Democrat politicians, that do not want certain federal laws enforced, and they are encouraging people to sacrifice themselves in order to prevent that law enforcement from occurring. It's incredibly dangerous. You know, Stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. Visit Creative video dot com. All right, so you heard the press conference there or a portion of it from Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome. And it's all in light of what occurred yesterday in Minneapolis, which I did you know when I was doing the show, Yes yesterday, I did see that there were these reports of an incident that occurred, but it was too early for me to know anything that was going on, and so I as a talk show host, I refrained from, you know, jumping in and making all sorts of pronouncements about what has obviously happened. You know. But after twenty four hours now we can see some of the evidence, the video evidence that exists. It's online. People have been sharing the videos all day yesterday into today. So I'm going to go through what the evidence is as to what occurred, what we know about it, things that are reported that are confirmed, and the video evidence itself. So most people are relying on the video from the rear of the maroon Honda pilot that was driven by Renaane Nicole Good. And from that angle, all you're seeing is the rear of the pilot, the driver's side, and you can see that her window is down and you see two ICE agents approach. You cannot see that there is a third ice ICE agent on the other side of the Honda pilot. You don't see that agent until the very end of the interaction. There is, however, another video from the opposite side. Somebody was shooting video apparently out of looks like a second story room out of a window, and that video captures that third agent on the other side of the vehicle, and it shows him getting hit by the car. So the first thing that we need to all accept here is that the woman drove her car forward and hit the agent. That did happen. That is on video as occurring. Even in the first video where you can't see him until the very end, you can see that he is. He's kind of swinging around. And initially people said that that she was trying to escape. He was standing right in front of her car. He was in front of her, right in front of the driver's side windshield. That is obvious now. So these two pieces of video, and I've watched them repeatedly with the benefit of being able to slow everything down and look at all of the you know, millisecond by millisecond progress of everything, which of the law enforcement officer, the ice agent, and the driver of the car. Neither of them have that luxury. They don't get to slow down time in order to see precisely what is occurring within two seconds. We all get to do that now the day after, right, But these videos, some witness statements that. I have seen. This is what I have used to come to a theory or a working belief about what occurred. Here's what I saw. She has parked perpendicular to the ice vehicles, blocking their path on the road. Her window is down. She waves her hand like in a motion to like wave somebody through, not like wave hello, but wave like go on through, come by, or go around, and an ice vehicle does in fact go around her and stops in front of her to now box her in because now they're going to approach the vehicle, and that's when they come out and start approaching. So this is why you hear people say, oh, she was waving them to go around in that moment. She may have been. She also may have been trying to wave around the caravan of vehicles that apparently reportedly she had been leading. She had been leading these cars around to form roadblocks around the ice vehicles. Now you just heard Christinome say that the operation that the ice agents were there for was over, and they say their vehicle got stuck in the snow, and you can see in the videos there are snowbanks on the sides of the roads. I've seen some people deny that that had occurred. No, they weren't trying to get the car out of the snow. So. I don't know if that's true, but those are the reports that Christy Nomes. She has said this now twice, and that's why they were trying to extricate the vehicle, and that's why more ice vehicles had shown up because they were there to try to help get the car. Out of the out of the snowbank. So the driver's wife, So the driver's name is Rene Nicole Good. Her wife is reportedly the woman that is standing behind the Honda pilot with a cell phone and video recording everything that's happening. She's off to the sort of rear right side. Two agents approached the driver's door. Another agent comes from the passenger side front and stands in front of the vehicle. The agents are telling her when they walk up to her open window, they're telling her to get out of the car. One of the agents grabs the door handle, but it's locked and he tries to open the door. At that point, the car goes in reverse for a couple of feet. The car then goes into drive and the front wheel spin on the icy road. They start spinning a little bit. Now, this is speculation on my point or on my behalf here. But if it wasn't a snow covered road, that ice agent may very well have been run over because there was that gunning of the engine. The tires spin and that gives him that moment to then draw the firearm, because he did not walk up with the firearm. You can see this. He pulls it out after she starts to go forward and the engine starts racing, and that's when she hits him in his legs and sort of pelvis area on his left side. It's at that point when he's trying to move out of the way and the car is the tire's spin and then they cut to the right. And that's why people say she was trying to escape. She wasn't trying to hit him. She was trying to avoid him. She was trying to go around him. Because they look at the tire spun. Keep in mind the cop cannot see the tires. The cop is standing in front of the car. Cop doesn't see the tires because he's standing in front of the vehicle. He's also looking at the person. I also saw where people are pointing out that he was holding a cell phone as well, so he was recording her, which means there's a recording. There should be body cam footage also. He then fires three shots as he moves to the side of the vehicle. One bullet enters the front windshield, the second hits the front of the side view mirror, so you can see those two damaged pieces. And I don't know where the third round went, but may have gone into the open window driver's side window. The car then proceeds down the street at about fifty to one hundred feet at a pretty high rate of speed and crashes into a parked car on the side of the road. That's what I saw happen. I appreciate that if the streets had not been icy, we might be talking about a dead ICE officer today. She would have hit him much harder. Indeed, and in fact, this agent that got hit by the car was previously hit by a protester driving their car at ICE agents and was dragged. So guy has some experience with the way these protesters behave. Danny says, it's not just dangerous that these elected officials are inciting this type of behavior. It's sad. It's sad we have arrived in a place in our society where otherwise innocent people feel confident that they can defy law, intervene with law enforcement, and are convinced there will be no consequences for their actions. Well some of Okay, for some of them, I think that is true. They don't think there will be consequences. Then part of that is because it has been communicated to them that there will in fact be no consequences, particularly if they have engaged in violent mob behavior in previous demonstrations and have suffered no repercussions. Right, However, there is a contingent that knows that inducing the reaction is the purpose of the action. Okay, this is out of Saulolensky's rules for radicals. I know people on the left don't want to hear me quote it, but this is one of the things that Olenski preaches is sometimes the action is in your opponent's reaction, getting your opponent to do something that you can then use to vilify them and play the victim yourself, to gain public support, or to advance legislation or get some policy changed or something, or to get ice to as the mayor of Minneapolis said, get the bleep out of our city. Right. This is the point. And by the way, the mayor and the governor, the Democrats who are out there saying, you know, this was predictable, we were predicting this. Yeah, you know who else was predicting it? People on the right. I was predicting it. You know why, because it's obvious what you're doing. You're inciting people to obstruct, to antagonize, to get more and more aggressive. You're inciting people to do this. You are creating a permission structure for people to defy the law because. They don't like the law. That's what this comes down to is that you have a not small contingent of Americans that believe there should be no federal immigration law. That's why they're out there protesting because what these agents are doing is enforcing immigration law. So you want the law wiped off the books, but you can't do that legislatively because you do not hold a majority. You don't have a majority opinion on that matter. So what you're going to do is an attempt to nullify the federal law by obstructing it, by preventing law enforcement agents from the federal government en forcing federal law. You're going to try to prevent them from doing so. And that permission structure for you to behave like violent children, that permission structure is created and fortified by elect leaders that speak in the same ways that we are hearing the elected leadership speak today. They're saying the same thing. They keep blaming Ice for the chaos, but the chaos is created by the nullifiers. Again. It's remember, the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution. It's plug and play. It's yesterday it's Palestine, and now today it's Ice. There were people wearing cafeas as fashion accessories while kicking in the glass doors and windows of the Federal Courthouse in Minneapolis last night. What does Palestine have to do with that? It's the Omnik cause. Because the issue doesn't matter. The particular issue of the day doesn't matter, whether it was George Floyd, whether it's Palestine, right, Michael Brown, he ends up, don't shoot whatever. The issue is irrelevant. The issue is always the revolution. It's about destabilization of the society, and so people like me on the right have been saying, you guys are going to incite violence. Somebody is going to get killed. And people on the left were saying ICE's enforcement of the law is going to incite violence, and just stop and think about that for a moment. Enforcement of the law will incite violence. If that is the case, then your city is in a state of insurrection. That's what that means that when democrats are out there saying that enforcing law will create criminal activity, that means you are in open defiance of federal law. And this goes back to the fourth turning. The fourth turning the theory that was put forth back in the nineties by a couple of demographers and they charted out sort of this these four seasons or cycle or what they called them turnings. They last about twenty years, and you go through a spring, summer, fall, winter, and winter is the crisis phase, and then it repeats itself and we are in the fourth turning. That was what they were talking about from their book in the nineties. And the remaining surviving author I think his name is Neil Howe. He was the one who identified the immigration issue as being the spark for the fourth turning. He said it would be a nullification crisis in the fourth turning. And you don't know, like nobody knows how this plays out. This is the problem with this type of a nullification fight is you have stayed in local officials with their own armies, whether it's you know, National Guard police for state troopers, whatever, and you have a federal government with its own armies, and neither one will take an off ramp because they're both asserting some authority. And what's very clear is you've got these democrat controlled areas that are refusing to recognize the authority of the federal government because Orange Man is Hitler. And so the federal government is going to keep pushing back and say no, the supremacy clause of the Constitution, we are legally empowered to do it. These are laws passed, we're acting lawfully, and the states are saying no, the cities are saying no, and it's going to escalate into violence. People are going to get hurt, people are going to get killed. And if you keep encouraging people to behave like this because they don't like a law, you're going to get more of it. So while Tim Walls may have predicted violence and a death, I too have predicted violence and a death. But Tim Walls wants to blame it on law and for it meant enforcing laws. I blame the people who are acting in a dare I say, insurrectionist manner. These are the same people, by the way, that ran around tearing down statues of every Civil War Confederate General right got to take all their statues down and all of that because they were insurrectionists January sixth people, they were insurrectionists, But when it comes to laws they don't like from the federal government that they want to nullify. I guess it's okay. Let me go back to Danny's message. Here on the text line, he says, the situation took a tragic turn, and everyone now wants to judge if the officer's reactions were justified instead of clearing understanding that actions have consequences, and had she been protesting in a legal and acceptable way, she would be alive today. What will it take for people to stop the insanity? They don't have an incentive to do so. This is the problem. Look for the incentives, right, There is no incentive for de escalation right now, not on the left and not on the part of the immigration enforcement, So no one's incentivized to de escalating. All right. If you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. Governor Tim Walls has all he's now doing another news conference. I believe the focus of this is on how he's accusing the FBI of cutting out the local investigators from investigating. So here's Tim Walls from the news conference going on right now. I think it's clear to everyone as they saw this that it feels now that Minnesota has been taken out of the investigation, it feels very, very difficult that we will get a fair outcome. And I say that only because people in positions of power have already passed judgment, from the President to the Vice president to Christy Nome, have stood and told you things that are verifiably false, verifiably inaccurate. They have determined the character of a thirty seven year old mom that they didn't even know, don't know. They've determined that the actions are done I don't know. I've not used inflammatory terms of what happened. I've asked us to. Find the answers. The only way we find the answers is a thorough investigation by non partisan professionals. We've delivered that we've been able to do it. We've earned the trust. And when I say that, the trust of BCA, and I tell Minnesota's the trust of law enforcement here everyone knows globally, certainly here that George Floyd, who has murdered a few blocks from this site, toward the soul of who we were. But we healed, we build back trust. Chief Brian o'hurre came in and took one of the most difficult jobs in America of building back trust in the police force in Minneapolis after Derek shav and murder George Floyd. And he's earned that, and he's level and he's fair, and he's asking for that, and so Minnesotan's I will continue to press that we be part of the investigation, that we do the investigation so that Minnesotans can trust what the outcome is. I don't have a predetermined notion. Yes I saw the video, Yes I saw that, But a thorough investigation, we'll see what happened before that. It will take all factors in and it will come up with a fair and just conclusion and we will accept that. Very very difficult for Minnesotans to think in any way this is going to be fair. When Christynoman was judged jury and basically executioner yesterday, that's very, very difficult to think that they were going to be fair With that being said. Minnesotan's risen to the occasion so far, but it's going to get check challenging. It's going to be challenging because I feel your anger, the human desire to lash out in this moment is very real. I can tell you that that is the wish of many people that they fulfill, the wish. They want to see us turn on one another, turn towards violence rather than peaceful reconciliation rather than peaceful civil disobedience. And what we have to do our best to not play into that. I say this too when I saw yesterday some of the anger, whether it's Minneapolis Police, Minnesota State Patrol, Hennepin County Sheriff's office, Minnesota National Guard, they are there to protect and serve. As it said, they are there to protect Minnesotan's. Throwing your anger at them only inflames the situation. Yeah, because, by the way, that is what the protesters did. They attacked the local police. Like Walls is trying to walk this line of like, oh, these are Minnesotans, these are state police, and these are local police, and we're all on the same page. We're all your friends. Like dude, four years ago they were burning down your police departments. They don't trust them either. Again, See, the issue is never the issue. You think that there's going to be some logical consistency going on here, and it's not. This is just what he is saying, because the anger is directed at all law enforcement, because law enforcement represents the thing that protects the society. Like that's the thin blue line. You tear that apart and now you can run wild. And that's what they did last night. They started throwing snowballs and stuff and debris at the local police. And so now Tim Wall's like, oh, don't do that, Like, those are the bad guys over there. It's Ice, they're the bad guys. Trump is the bad guy. It's not the local police, it's not the state police. We're here to protect at you. Yeah, they don't want you either, Tim. And I know some of you were up at the Whipple Building this morning, and to the press who are here, I saw some of this myself. Thank you. Continue to have access to every single space, Continue to cover this story, continue to show the world what's out there. I will say it where our president won't. The press are the defenders of our democracy. You need to be there. But I also tell folks, protect our Minnesotans who are out there, and don't turn the anger to them. This is a brazen use of force. Wait, wait, wait, hang on a second. Didn't you just say that you haven't made any judgments about anything that occurred, and now you're saying, what three sentences later, that this was a quote brazen use of force. That sounds like you've passed some sort of judgment about it. Because if it was, as Christy Nomes said, an act of self defense after a protester weaponized her vehicle against a law enforcement agent, which would then classify it as an act of domestic terrorism. But that's that's out of the bounds of acceptability. Want us to bend the knee. They want us to capitulate the way. Okay, they want you to bend the knee to to federal law. Yes, you live in America, you live under federal law. I do too. You're supposed to uphold the Constitution. Your oath is to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. There is the supremacy clause. The federal government has the authority to do these things. They are they are using federal law enforcement to enforce federal law. And you call that bending the knee and capitulating and that and and so, like, what is he saying there, He's saying nullification. We are nullifying your law. We don't agree with your law, we don't want your law, so we are no longer going to allow you to enforce it in our territory. We are supreme, That's what he's saying. The way we give them what they want is allow them to use this as an excuse to put more troops on the ground, use him as an excuse to show that these are violent protests. And I also witnessed what I think is going to be a pattern over the next few days in the coming hours. Is I saw an individual show up there with the intent to antagonize folks who are peacefully protesting with a bullhorn to scream at them. And again, the desire to move on that individual is exactly what they want. Oh, it's the right wingers that's the real problem. Good job, Gov. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
