The North Carolina House Judiciary Committee heard from supporters and opponents of the Save Women's Sports Act - aimed at preventing transgender girls and women from playing on teams that were established for biological girls and women. Supporters say the bill protects team sports for girls, as required under Title IX federal law, by preventing biological males from using inherent physiological advantages to rob girls of opportunities.
