North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson called out WRAL as hypocrites and liars for posting a cartoon depicting him and his fellow Republicans on the state Board of Education as members of the KKK. The cartoonist (who is an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher) accuses Robinson and his colleagues of trying to block teachers from teaching about racism - as part of a debate over new curriculum standards for K-12. The media has regurgitated this false premise, despite explicit and repeated calls to the contrary. Also, NC GOP Chairman Michael Whatley joins me to discuss the controversy.
