Every single day, every single day, I close the show and I say, don't break anything, and nobody ever listens to me. What a weekend it was. We got America's first trillionaire, the Hurricanes win, but I wasn't allowed to watch the game because I could not name any of the players. So that's the rule. Apparently, not allowed to pull for the Carolina Hurricanes. So it's very difficult to find the find the program. The Knicks one and the fans promptly celebrated by torching a school bus. And let's see what else. The UFC had a fight or several fights at the White House. Scott besson't not involved. Just for the record, and uh, in order to counter program the UFC fight a bunch of leftists got together and did some sing along or something that was live streamed or something, and uh, it's amazing that the UFC had any viewers whatsoever with content like this. Oh you fascist, you're bowl you fascist? Bowlu heylrea a fascist. Let me put you straight. When you come for the rest of us, we'll fight you at the gate and you will. Lose, you fascist. Bawlu hey, you fascists bound to lose. Not quite as good as this number. Though. No one is getting left behind this time. No one is getting left. Not this time. No one is getting left behind this time. How do we get there together or never get there at all? Yeah? Alrighty? Did we get there together or never at all? Forward? People Forward. I also went and checked out the h. I guess this was the twenty first annual Charlotte Squawks. I went, so save your money. I went and saw it, and I have a review I will do. It's not going to be kind. But neither were they so all right? First off, I could not help but notice the galactic level of dumb assery. Uh this weekend as communists and socialists, democrats and media. But I repeat myself that. They were all just outreached over Elon Musk becoming the first trillionaire, which is weird because I thought there was a whole bunch of people from Zimbabwe that became trillionaires when their currency like, okay, right, wasn't that didn't that happen already? It costs like seven trillion Zimbabwean dollars to get like a pack of eminem's, right, So there were I think I kind of feel like the world has had trillionaires before, but maybe not in this case. That are you know, our money is not quite as devalued as the zimbabwe dollar whatever they call their currency, I don't even know, maybe it's the zib But so many people so angry that Elon Musk on paper is now worth more than a trillion dollars, like one point three trillion dollars, And they seem to think that he ran around the globe and he knocked out people and stole all their money, that he just somehow or an other siphoned off funds from governments and peasants and just stuffed it in his pockets and he's just eating all of the food. I saw. One analogy about bananas is just so much dumb assary, so much stupidity, but really at the heart of it, because the stupidity, the dumb assery, it actually masks something more evil, which nobody really wants to come out and say, because like even they recognize it as evil. So what they do is they dress it up in altruistic form, which is to say, there shouldn't be any trillionaires because somebody else should have the money. And I am virtuous for making this claim on your property because I'm doing it for somebody else, so I'm better than you, are, right, That's the entire play. But at the core of it, it is envy. They covet what Musk has. That is the core animating principle of communism. It's what it's all about. It's what it's always been about. It's why it's evil. It's an evil ideology. Thomas Sole said it best. Envy was once considered to be one of the seven Deadly sins before it became one of the most admired virtues under. Its new name social justice. He's exactly right. You've got the jihadi loving, self avowed communist death threat, issuing Twitch streamer Hassan Piker, who said, by the way, Hassan Piker is not smart, okay. So that's part of the problem here, and this goes into the dumbassery part. He's not an intelligent man, okay. And so he's on this Twitch stream as he does for like eight, nine, ten straight hours a day and shocks his dog to make it stay on its bed in the background. So everybody's like, oh, he has a dog, right, and he's abusing it. But anyway, Elon Musk, he says, is such a is such a bleeping failure. So Elon Musk is a failure. In Hassan Piker's view, Elon Musk is a failure, Which what. Am I doing? Like what like I couldn't even get all the weed out of my yard this weekend? Like what am I even doing? Then? If Elon Musk is a failure, the guy is catching rockets with chopsticks, like, give me a break. Okay. So the twitcher Piker says Musk is a failure. And yet in spite of his failures, because he happened to be at the right place at the right time, he has failed upwards with his endless wealth, which this guy's a Nepo baby, Okay. Hassan Piker's parents are loaded. His uncle is Chenk Yueiger from the Young Turks, which he then gave Piker a job, although that didn't last very long because Piker was elevated beyond his talents and he stunk, and. So then he was gone. And then he was relegated to playing Fortnite with teenagers on Twitch and then started talking politics, and all of these teenagers who don't know anything or are you know, indoctrinated by their K twelve activist teachers, They're like, wow, this guy's so smart. And so he builds this massive following, and then he's calling for Republicans to be murdered. He's celebrating Luigi Mangioni murdering the United Healthcare CEO. He goes to Cuba wearing two thousand dollars sunglasses, talking about how Cuba's fantastic, nobody wants for anything. Meanwhile everybody else is in a blackout throughout the country because all the power had to be siphoned off to go to his hotel. Right, So this is the Caviare or Cartier communist, that is Hassan Piker, who claims that Elon Musk is a failure and that he happened to be at the right place at the. Right time when. He co founded PayPal. Really like that was like he had nothing at all to do with that. The guy sleeps on the floor of his workshops, like he literally sleeps at the job because the guy works like twenty seven hours a day. It's craziness. Okay, yes, he also tweets a lot, but he works a lot, and he happens to be really, really smart, but he has failed upwards with his endless wealth. Don't see the wealth is sort of a scoreboard for how much you've generated, how much other wealth you have generated, And he has generated for others billions, hundreds of billions of dollars. But this is about envy. You know. Stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. They help us process the meaning of life, and our stories are told through images and videos. Preserve your stories with Creative Video started in nineteen ninety seven and Mint Hill, North Carolina. Visit creative video dot com. All right, So, speaking of the envy of Elon Musk, here is US Senator Elizabeth of the High cheek Bones Warren. Elon Musk is officially the world's first trillionaire. Think about that. We're living in a time when more and more people are just hanging on by their fingernails to survive in this economy, and Elon Musk has more money and more wealth than anyone in human history. I want to be clear, this is not just some fluke. It is a feature of a rigged economy. Donald Trump's big, beautiful bill cut healthcare for millions of Americans to give guys like Elon bigger tax breaks. The tax code rewards CEOs for firing workers and replacing them with AI. Loopholes have allowed Jeff Bezos to pay an effective tax rate lower than a Boston public school teacher. And because it's not income, see it's not a W two like that. They keep saying this line because they understand because they wrote the tax code. These people that complain about loopholes, they wrote the tax code. Okay, Congress writes the tax code. The quote loophole. What they're talking about is that the money he is that he generates as part of his quote income, it's already been taxed, and it's it's generated off of you know, stocks and dividend and that sort of thing. But also most of it is on paper in the form of stocks. Just like with Elon Musk, you could liquidate all of Musk's wealth and you may get one hundred hundred and fifty maybe two hundred billion dollars. The trillion is all of his companies, and the value assessed of not what the company has in real assets, but in what the companies are going to be able to deliver over their lifespan. That's what people are betting on. They're betting on the rider, not the horse, right, because a good rider will get the nag across the line. Speaking of the nag, let's finish what Warren was saying. We are left with a country or a handful of billionaires at the top pop champagne, and they're three hundred million dollar yachts while working people take on even more shifts to try to pay off their student loan debt. By the way, student loans taken over by the government by Obama with the support of one Senator Warren. Right, this was part of Obamacare. And when they did that, now they made the price of the colleges go through the roof. Right, there's no market incentive any longer. They've they've short circuited the market signals on that. So she's complaining. And note the note the carrigature. They're popping champagne bottles on there like Meanwhile, Obama's out there on George Clooney's yacht off the south of France. Right, we're supposed to ignore that, well, because he's not He's not one of those one of those bad billionaires. The bad billionaires are the ones that look like the dude from Monopoly, you know, like this caricature that they paint. All of this again, is just to mask what is envy. She is playing upon your envy, and she's doing so for her own power. David Burke. He says Elon Musk has created one hundred and sixty thousand plus jobs with an average salary of over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars. In fact, when SpaceX went public, because that's what happened, they went public on the Stock Exchange, and four hundred of his employees became millionaires on Friday because they had stocks in the company, because that was what the company was offering as compensation their choice. They could take these, they could take stock options, so that many of them did, hundreds of them did, and four hundred of his employees became millionaires. Zero point one percent of Musk's holdings are actually liquid. That is, if he paid a net worth tax, he would have to sell hundreds of millions of dollars of shares in Tesla, Neuralink, SpaceX, right, all of these different companies that he has stock in, if they were to do a wealth tax, which is what Warren is lobbying for that would crash the stock. He would have to sell so many shares, it would crash the stock, and it would hurt millions of retirees, including public sector employees whose retirement investments are in the very companies that she is now demonizing. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and the rest of these idiots. They're not dumb enough to actually think Elon Musk has a trillion dollars in cash waiting to be taxed. But Bonchi at Red State says, they just think their following are dumb enough to think that, and they are. They absolutely are dumb enough to think that. Thank the K twelve education system, oh, also controlled by them. Yes, correction, I said four. I said Elon Musk made four hundred millionaires. Sorry, there were four hundred millionaires who now have more than one hundred million. These are like electricians and welders and a couple of like cafeteria workers and stuff at SpaceX. But he actually made in the company four thousand millionaires, four thousand millionaires, four hundred of whom are worth more than one hundred million dollars, which is insane. Then you get the envious commis all around the Globe. Dealis, that's his name. Dealis on social media. Goes obviously lists his pronouns. He him aggressive, progressive and a twitch streamer. People starving all around the world. And this bleep has a trillion dollars ges and it rained somewhere too. I mean that's that also is a thing. It rained. By the way, Elon Musk one time offered the United Nations about six billion dollars for World hunger. This was back in twenty twenty one. One condition that the UN would have to provide open source accounting and allow him or anybody else to track and audit exactly where the money was being spent, which is probably a fair thing if you're going to give the UN six billion dollars and the UN has the track record it has of you know, the aid not getting to the people. And the UN said, we can give you summaries and high level category reports, but that's it. And so the whole thing collapsed. The whole deal collapsed because the UN was not able to provide trackable details on where the money goes, so could not do any kind of auditing. Right Like, so I got a text here from t K. I don't care if Musk has ten trillion dollars. I just wonder if he is philanthropic at all, like Jeff Bezos's wife. Yeah, I don't what he does with his money. I don't care how much he donates. But let me google that for you. And for the latest year available records exist donated four hundred and seventy four million dollars to charities in twenty twenty four through the Musk Foundation, with the largest portion going to organizations he controls. In early twenty twenty five, you also donated one hundred and twelve million in Tesla shares to unnamed charities as part of year end tax planning. Okay, so now you know, don't I don't know what is a okay, but there you go. Mark says, I love millionaires, billionaires and trillionaires. When poor people start giving us jobs, then I'll change my views. R J says, Once I ate lunch with Elon, he said, order what you want, So I ordered a hamburger, some fries, and a ferrari. He got mad, but I did drive myself home. I think I don't think that's true. Let's see. Yeah, four thousand employees just reading through the text line. Hank says Focahontas needs to shut up. She stole a real Native American spot at Harvard because her family members said they have high cheekbones like some other tribe. If Democrats didn't have double standards, they wouldn't have any at all. To do you four thousand Yes, yes, for sure. Social media is full of lefties mansplaining how much a trillion dollars is. Meanwhile, the black Swan value of SpaceX is what it could be worth twenty years from now. Right now, it's losing billions each year, right, That's what I say. Why I say that the investors backed the rider, not necessarily the horse they're banking on. Elon Musk, like his company Neuralink is allowing disabled people to regain functions, like blind people are now able to see. There is a guy who's a quadriplegic, can't speak or anything, and the guy is playing he's playing chess with his mind right, Like these are the things that Musk's companies are doing. The co founder of Arguillilo dot Ai argue, he's French anyway, this guy he was responding to this other French guy who says you can take half of his money that solves a ton of problems in the world, and it doesn't change a thing about his lifestyle. I love these people who like they know so much, right Brevia les Pras Pograh Anyway, he's. French, he says. I'll assume you're acting in good faith because your reasoning is intuitive and ninety percent of people share it. But it rests on three factual errors, and it's worth looking at them calmly. Number one error, Elon's fortune is not a pile of cash. Its ownership of factories, rockets and satellites. Taking half his money quote unquote, in concrete terms means forcing the sale of half a SpaceX and Tesla. The money doesn't come out of a safe. It comes from the companies themselves, which fall under the control of foreign funds or states. You're not redistributing cash, You're dismantling a tool of production. It's the difference between harvesting apples and chopping down the apple tree. Error two. You say it solves a ton of problems in the world, Well, the experiment has already been tried for real. In twenty twenty one, Musk offered six billion dollars to the un Right to quote solve world hunger, and the UH the WFP, the World Food Program published its plan and the verdict was it wasn't solving hunger. It was feeding forty two million people for a year, one year, and then you have to pay again forever. It had already raised eight point four billion the previous year, and hunger was still there. NGOs treat symptoms in a loop, never the causes, because their funding depends on the problem's existence. Error three. The most important you're looking for, what actually lifts people out of poverty. Well, the good news is we have the answer, and it's massive. In nineteen ninety, thirty six percent of humanity lived in extreme poverty. Today it's less than nine percent. Over a billion people lifted out of misery in thirty years by what not charity or international aid, by opening markets, industrialization trade. China alone lifted eight hundred million people out of poverty by abandoning collectivism, not by taxing its entrepreneurs. So do the math. Okay, poverty is not redistributed, it's solved through creation. Maybe counterintuitive, it may be frustrating, but that's what two hundred years of data say is exactly correct. Socialism is not the morally superior ideology. It's inferior. A couple of messages. This is from seven oh four. Number Elon should do a press conference explaining how he's worth so much and why he should be unapologetic about his wealth and bluntly tell the world that he has earned it. Diane has a quote from Winston Churchill. Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. America's mother in law strikes again with her demented, fictitious bs. These are the exact mouchers and parasites iin rand was referring to in Atlas Shrugged. Correct, you've got all these like. Ed Markey and Bernie Sanders, Roe Conna. They were all like, we need to take his money. There's an account called the rabbit Hole says, don't worry about Elon becoming rich with his own money, worry about politicians becoming rich with your money. Let's go over to Ralph. Hello, Ralph, welcome to the show. Well, you know, I wish Pocahontas and all these liberal wood reveal what stops hold in their portfolio. To see if there's any hypocrisy you know. I mean, Pete, I get up every morning. I got a little small business. I don't hate anybody. I don't have a college education. But you can learn stuff from rich people or just intelligent people. Sure, I put it at that, you know, and it just burns me. Up because I have worked sixty five plus hours for over twenty eight years. Yeah, if you own your own business, I'm sure you do. Yeah, and everything, and it just infuriates me. It's like that Winston Church here'll quote you just made and everything that's spot on and everything. But yeah, you know, I'm over it. You know. They they need to get a life, and if they didn't spend so much time on negativity, they might have some. Positive thoughts that could uplift people. But that's all I got to say. Yeah, Ralph, I appreciate it. No, I mean, that's at the heart of what capital, what the free market is. It's that you've created something that other people want and they are willing to then pay you for that thing. Which is why so many people get so angry about the free markets, is because they literally don't create anything that other people want, and that they get frustrated. It's a rejection here here's Congressman Rocanna, who for some reason thinks he could be president. A five percent tax on Elon's trillion net worth would literally pay for free college and trade school for every American, and with the market's growth, he still would be worth over a trillion dollars. You don't think that's worth it. Just set aside the ethic of that for a moment, right, Let's just do the math, because he got community noted on this Community notes is sort of the fact checking mechanism in Twitter. So you run the math, A five percent tax on Elon's one point two trillion dollars would generate wait for it, wait for it, sixty billion dollars. Eight million students in college programs on average pay over twenty thousand dollars a year, or one hundred and sixty billion for bachelor bachelors of Arts and sciences. So bachelor's degrees a hunt that's what's being charged right now, is one hundred and sixty billion. So even if you took five percent, it doesn't even get to half of the total cost. That tax would not cover even half of the US bachelor degree costs for a single year. That excludes graduate degrees associate degrees trade degrees because there's another ten million students enrolled in those programs. The founder of DRW Trading, Don Wilson said, I am highly confident society will derive greater benefit if that capital is in Elon's hands than in the hands of the government, and Rocanna responded, listen to this. This is the basic difference. Republicans believe that if you let the wealthy spend capital, it will make Americans prosperous. Democrats believe that the federal government investing in the health care and education of our people will make America prosperous and productive. Note false dichotomy, right, that those are your only choices, right, But Republicans believe that if you let the wealthy spend capital. So who's granting anybody permission here? Who the hell do you think you are if you let the wealthy spend capital? First off, it's not your money. Right. People voluntarily have purchased stock in a company based on what they think that company will be able to do, and chances are it's going to be able to do the thing it says it wants to do, which is to keep launching rockets. Right to support NASA to build a moon base and then to go to Mars, like that's the plan, and people say, I'm willing to put my money up on that bet, and this guy, a member of Congress, is like, well, you know, Republicans believe that if you let the wealthy spend their capital's going to make Americans prosperous. Yeah, seems like it's been working that way for a pretty long time already. All Right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast, so if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here. You can also become a patron at my Patreon page or go to thepetekaalanershow dot com. Again, thank you so much for listening, and don't break anything while I'm gone.
