So yesterday I did intend to talk about the New York City victory of the Socialist, but we didn't get to it because we were wallowing in our mourning of the city of Charlotte and the election results we had here. So today we shall mourn the loss of the capital of capitalism, New York City with the election of the Gihati adjacent socialist, but totally not of Comi Zoron Mamdani Mamdanni, the Kami mom Kami. Anyway, we've got some of the exit polling. We see some of the data now about how he actually won, namely timing. He is a very uh lucky candidate. That is not to take away from his perpetual smile, his handsome, good looks his TikTok video capabilities, his man of the people scooping of rice into his face with his hands, because he's a man of the Peo police from the Third world. You see, that's how he that's how his people eat. They his people being third world people that he is totally one of. Despite the fact that, uh, you know, he grew up in privilege, went to very expensive schools, never had a real job in his life, never had to work. Mommy and daddy are very wealthy and they have supported him. So a true you know, like a stereotypical socialist. Also apparently he ate what was it a burrito with a knife and fork, as people in the third world do, obviously, right, that's the thing. Is like from his ancestral homeland of Uganda, that's how they eat. They take a knife and a fork and they eat the burrito. But when it comes to rice, well they just scoop it up with their hands and shovel it down their throat. That's obviously the preferred way to eat or something, isn't it? Burrito specifically designed to be eaten with your hands, so you don't need any utensils to eat a burrito. I might be overthinking this a little bit, but anyway, he lucked out. He lucked out in the timing because you end up in a race with the abomination that is ranked choice voting instituted now in New York City in the primary. That's how you get a radical candidate like him that gets through. And you have somebody that is as loathsome as Andrew Cuomo, also a NEPO baby, right, son of Mario Cuomo, brother of Chris Mario Cuomo. As Curtis Leewood dubbed him killing granny's and slapping fans. Right. The guy was run out of office in scandal. And this is who the Democrat quote unquote establishment thought would be the guy to take down Mom Donnie or the guy to win the mayor's race against Eric Adams, also not a great mayor, right. That's part of the reason why you had all of these people challenging Eric Adams. He you know, was criminally indicted. It was dropped by the Trump administration. But scandal like that, and you know Eric Adams had not done himself any favors. And then anyway, so you have a terrible mayor candidate gets indicted, then you've got the primary, and you've got the rank choice voting, and you've got Andrew Cuomo as some sort of you know, self anointed savior. So Mom Donnie definitely benefited from the circumstances. And again that's not to take a way from his man of the people campaigned stick right, because he did knock on doors. He had he got the entire New York City Democratic Socialists of America, the DSA had all of them backing him because he had been part of the DSA for years. But per the NBC exit polls, he lost people. So when people showed up to vote, what they were asked like, what are their big issues? And Mom Donnie lost immigration voters by twenty six points. Okay, if that was your top issue, you were not voting for Mom Donnie. If crime was your number one issue, he lost those by forty one points, Which is weird because like I would have thought a campaign message of, you know, defunding the police, but I totally don't believe that anymore because I just changed my mind like five minutes ago. Also, I want to disband certain police units. Oh and I want to close down Rikers Island Prison for some reason. People who you know were concerned about crime in New York City. They were not comfortable with those campaign messages. But here's the thing. The issue that he won on was cost of living, right. That was the big thing. You probably heard everybody talking about affordability, right, And his answer on affordability is, well, I'm going to give it to you for free, and don't worry how it's going to get paid for. We're going to tax a bunch of rich people who are totally not going to move away. For reasons unknown to me at this point if he's even allowed to do it, because he would need state approval to do that, and the state lawmakers have not expressed any interest in doing so. Now maybe they do. Maybe they eventually cave. They see the way the wind is blowing and they're like, okay, you know what, We're gonna go ahead, and you know, give New York City communism good and hard like they're asking for. So the people who voted on cost of living, you know, free stuff, give me more free stuff. He won those voters by thirty six points, and that was the largest group they represented, fifty five percent of those who turned out to vote. People answered cost of living was what brought them out to vote. They made up more than half of the people voting. So Mom, Donnie has been playing this game where he pretends he didn't say the things he said, or says you're misinterpreting the things he said. The globalize the Intifada, he chanted and tweeted and led protests for and all this, but somehow another no, no, no, it just means something else. It was just more of like a global opposition to what's happening in Palestine. No, it doesn't mean the thing that it has always meant, And any honest observer of the situation knows the meaning of the term globalized the ante fada, which is why it is so offensive, because it's literally calling for people's murder, namely Jews murdering Jewish people, which, in case you're not aware, New York City has the highest population of Jewish people outside of Israel. I'm not sure everybody knows this, but New York City has a lot of Jewish people. Okay, millions a couple it's like one and a half million, I want to say, it's something like that. There are a lot of Jewish people. I don't know if they all own bagel shops, I'm just kidding, but they have great bagels. I can say that because, like I grew up in New York and we ate a lot of bagels, so we love the bagels. You've got him trying to pretend that he didn't say the things that he has said, or that somehow it's misinterpreted, or that the DSA platform is not his platform, and so things that they say aren't really things that he believes. Yet he doesn't really ever say what things he disagrees with the DSA on. Also, he's not a communist, even though he calls all of these communists comrades in all of his posts and speeches prior to his run for mayor. It's almost as if he is lying. I know, almost. But the thing to remember is that rule number one of communists they lie, commis lie. They promise you free stuff, and then they enslave you. That's kind of the trajectory, you know. Also, oh no, he actually yeah, he probably has the crust cut off. He probably doesn't cut it off himself. He probably has his mom or his his family's chef or something to do that for him, Pete, I sense a little sarcasm in your voice. Really well, I am fluent in sarcasm, so that does track. Michael says eating a burrito with a knife and fork is just as big a sin as eating fried chicken with a knife and fork. All right, well, now see, I don't know about that. If you're in like a fancy restaurant and they do it all frufruey, you know, and they got like some sort of like glaze on it or something, or they put some sort of a sauce on it, you know. But yeah, generally speaking guests. But then again, they elected some guy mayor I think it was Deblasio who ate pizza with a knife and fork Like that should have been disqualifying. That's what I knew New York was done. One of the musically inspiring things about communism is the dramatic old national anthem from the People's Republic singing about the unity we achieved because of our great leader who led us to freedom Mamdani's party and will cry if they let you. It is an underappreciated thing. The uh, the great communist odes yes. So moments after being declared the winner of the New York City mayoral race Democrats. Socialist Zoram Mamdani opened his victory speech with a nod to one of the most infamous radicals in American history. Mamdani thirty four years old. I never had a real job, quoted Eugene Debs, a far left activist from the early twentieth century who was stripped of his American citizenship after being convicted of sedition in nineteen eighteen. Like Debs, Mam Donnie has embraced radical policies, including broad promises to provide a range of free services to New Yorkers. He said, quote I can see actually says, I can't see the dawn of a better day for humanity. Mamdannie quoted Debs as saying, yeah, he was a little screamy during his victory speech. I don't know if you caught any of the sound bites, but yeah, he got a little shouty, as communists tend to do once they secure power. Anyway, Debs actually supported the Communist revolution in Russia in nineteen seventeen. Deeply influenced by Karl Marx, Debs had his citizenship restored, actually by a joint resolution of Congress in the nineteen seventies, he ran for president five times. I believe the trivia on him that's taught in all of the the K twelve lesson plans. I mean nothing about him being a radical COMI, but that he ran for president from prison, right, wasn't that one of his claims to fame, the thing that all the kids learn that you can run for president even when you're in prison. So he ran five times between nineteen hundred and nineteen twenty. And he described capitalism as a quote monstrous system, and said that his social and said his Socialist party was defined by a militant spirit and revolutionary goals. This is a piece over at the Daily Wire by laife Lemaheue. And then Mamdani said one of the most terrifying sentences I've heard from an elected official, although to be fair, he has not been sworn in yet, but he did win the election. Here's what he said, quote, we will prove that there is no problem too large for government to solve, and no concern too small for it to care about, No problem too large for gov CO and no concern too small for GOVC to care about. That should terrify the residents and business owners of New York City, no concern too small for him and his agents to care about. Like, I think I'm just gonna I don't think I can drive back to see the family on Long Island because I got to go through New York and I don't think I can do that. I'm like, I'd be terrified driving through the city. I mean, what happens if I break down? And then that's like it's a big concern for me, but it might be a small concern for zoron Mamdani and then he and his commie pals they pay me a visit on the side of the road. That's probably not going to end well. So direct flights to just yeah, take direct flights out to the island. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Just a quick drive up the mountain and Cabins of Asheville is your connection. All right, So from the WBT text line from TK Pete, I always enjoy your show. I'm an independent voter. It seems that anytime a liberal or Democrat bends the truth, you find a way to spend hours on it. You never seem to comment on the world. Oh I think he meant say world's biggest liar Donald J. Trump. Okay, so just a couple of points to make. T K. Anytime a liberal or Democrat bends the truth, I knowe you did not say lie. It's just simply bending the truth, right, And it's also not any time if I were to spend hours as you claim, which is another kind of problem with the assertion, I don't spend hours on any time a liberal or Democrat bends the truth or lies. You have no problem calling Donald Trump the world's biggest liar, but when it comes to a liberal or Democrat, it's simply bending the truth. I guess. But no, I don't spend hours on every single liberal and Democrat who bends the truth. That's silly. I actually use them as examples to highlight double standards in that the fact that everybody knows that Donald Trump bends the truth, that Donald Trump says things that are just like unsupported, and all of the fact checking industry that has grown up simply to monitor every utterance and tweet of the man. Yet when people use wise about him or about Republicans and such. There's never this kind of fact checking effort, so that's what I provide. Also, I know I wasn't on the air here when Donald Trump ran for office in twenty fifteen. I was up in Asheville. But yeah, I covered all of that. That's like ten years ago, made the case, laid it all out. You know, the lies that he told on all sorts of stuff, and people don't care. And just like you don't care about the lies that Democrats tell, people didn't mind. So that's why I use the lies in order to highlight of the larger issues. And in fact, if you stay tuned in the third hour, I intend to get to the Supreme Court oral arguments from yesterday regarding the tariffs, where the administration lawyer was making a case that I think is completely unsupported by law. So you'll get your fix if that's what you are demanding of me. This person just says, Pete, you are the best. Thank you. I appreciate that. The Hellia says Trump is a bs er, and I mean that in a nice way. He will quote lie about a golf game, but you can't take him literally. But seriously, yeah, I look, I rejected that hole. You got to take him seriously, not literally, like I rejected that whole argument as well. And here's the thing. What you've just engaged in TK is what about ism? Like I'm focusing the attention. This is why I build the show. The way I build the show is I focus on a particular topic in each hour, and so I focus on this topic. And this topic is the Jihati adjacent socialist but totally not a Kami mayor elect of New York City, the financial capital of planet Earth, or as Hassan Piker, that Kami Stalin lover USSR lover twitch streamer who was at mom Donnie's party. He also shocks his dog with a shock collar when it moves off of its bed during his live streams. That's how he keeps it still for eight hours at a time. No, I forgot what I was forgot what I was saying. Dang it, mm I went down that rabbit hole and uh oh, the take him literally but seriously In your your response to me pointing out that mom Donnie is this type of candidate and how he will govern and the things that he has said, your response is, well, what about Donald Trump? Why does that make mum Donnie not a liar. It's possible to accept that they are both liars. You can believe that you can make that assessment. I am not required to any time I point out a lie by somebody to say well, and also remember these other people in this long list of lied to. So I hope that sufficiently addresses your text TK Andy claims he was the eighth caller, but nobody answered. How would you even prove that, Andy, Well, you'll have another chance to uh not have your call answered next hour, Andy, to win those tickets, all right. So this is from Jerry Dunlevy at Justthnews dot com, who made his way into a DSA zoom call. The Democrat Socialists of America held a zoom meeting the New York City branch that'soron Mamdani belongs to, and they helped him win the Democrat primary back in June and the mayor's race on Tuesday. But Mam Donnie has sought to distance himself from the DSA's socialist and revolutionary platform during the mayor's race, something according to Politico that the New York City branch of the socialist group gave him public cover to do Okay, so they said, you can lie. You can lie about your proximity to these ideas and your support of our platform planks, you can totally distance yourself. You got to do that to win. We totally understand, wink wink, We know where your loyalties lie. Right. So, Just the News obtained an internal planning document from the dssay's Anti War Working Group, the AWWG, or as I call it, the OGG, which shows the group has spent weeks plotting how to pressure the new Mamdani administration to carry out their socialist quote unquote demands, including demands to push an anti Israel agenda at New York City Hall. All right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. He got documents from the New York City Democratic Socialists of America. He obtained it. It's called the Palestine Policy Meeting Agenda and Notes, and it contains the internal plans of the DSA working group. The document was obtained when he used his real name to RSVP to the meeting, which was listed as open to the public, and so then they sent him a link and he joined and he got the document, which has since been scrubbed. They have taken the document down. The link no longer works. Mamdani is a member of the DSA, but he denies he is a Communist. The apparent anti Israel demands for a Mamdani administration from the DSA working Group include Divest City pension funds from Israeli bonds and securities. With Draw City funds from banks that lend money to Israel or do business in Israel. End City contracts with companies that do business with it. Operate city run grocery stores free from Israeli products. Investigate real estate agents hosting illegal sales of stolen lands in the West Bank. Evict weapons manufacturers and transporters from the New York City metro area. That's not about the Jews, that's just any weapons manufacturer and transporter. Okay, Divest City, University of New York Endowment and reinstate wrongly fired professors. They were not wrongly fired. These are the ones that were celebrating October seventh, led the student protests and revolt and the tent to Fada and all that stuff. Oh remember that guy that was that was deported to El Salvador Khalid Mackmood or Mackmood Khalid. Remember that guy leader of the student protest even though he wasn't a student, and he and they picked him up and they sent him to El Salvador and they're like bring him back, bring him back, And then they went to court and they had to bring him back. He was at Mamdani's victory party with Hassan Piker and Mehdi Hassan and Jamal Bowman, the fire marshal guy, the one that pulled the fire alarm to stop the voting from occurring in Congress and then he lost his seat. Democrat Socialist of America like that, Yeah, and they were all together in some video clip just like giddy super masculine vibes. Anyway, end repression of demonstrators and the SRG that is the New York Police Department's Strategic Response Group, the SRG, which has been used to break up the protests, these violent protests that have locked people in their buildings and such. But they see that as repression of demonstrators. When you don't allow us to break stuff and harass and intimidate Jews in broad daylight, you are repressing us. Removed nonprofit status from cherry that raise funds for the IDF and end training that the NYPD does with the IOF. They call it there it's a derogatory term. Instead of the Israeli Defense Forces. They call it the Israeli offense or sorry, occupation. The Israeli Occupation Forces is what they called the oh and also arrest the Prime Minister of Israel and any active IDF soldiers for war crimes. Yeah, the UN is in New York City, So you're basically banning Jews, which, oh, you know what, I just thought of an idea that he could implement when when telling the Jews to get out and stay out. You know what you could do is like maybe give them like a gold Star of David and they would have to like walk around with that pin to their lapel, so we could all identify them so easily. What do you think Just send that along to Mamdanni, He's probably already on it. Actually. Ideas included track active appointments and to pressure Mom Donnie to staff people whose values are aligned, so they're going to get as many of these radicals into the administration as possible. As a very lengthy piece, I'm just giving you a couple of the highlights. He has repeatedly tweeted about the need to defund the police, and he has tried to back away from that position after he won the primary, but he's been tweeting it as recently as twenty twenty one, and he also called to dissolve the nypds SRG as recently as December, so I don't think he's actually moved off of those positions. He also told former MSNBC host medi Asan in December, as mayor, New York City would arrest Benjamin Ntonyah, who the DSA tweeted in late October. We believe in our power as workers to control the means of production and outnumber the capitalist class. Donnie told reporters in August, my platform is not the same as national DSA national. When asked if he wanted to eliminate misdemeanor criminal offenses, he said, no, you can't find that on my platform because it's not there. Yeah, Donnie told Meet the Press, no, I'm not a communist. However, when you read all of his tweets and speeches, he does have a strong affinity for traditional Stalin esque communism. He praised and campaigned with a Marxist States senator in New York declared New York City needs a mayor, just like the Indian mayor, who's an explicit Marxist and commed party member. He praised the Russian Revolution, which led to the establishment of the USSR, and wants to seize the means of production. That's a literal quote in a reference to core Marxist principles, so totally not a commy. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast, so if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here.
