This episode is presented by Carolina Readiness Supply – South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem wrote a book and told a story how she put down a 14-month old dog that had killed some neighbor's chickens. Outrage ensued. Plus, a failed coup in the White House means America must suffer canned answers through 2025.

[00:00:27] your support. Christy Noem the South Dakota governor made of stone I believe and
[00:00:36] stands about a foot tall. Oh sorry different kind of noem. Christy Noem wrote
[00:00:44] a book and this is what politicians do when they are trying to you know win
[00:00:52] higher office particularly president or vice president you got to you got to
[00:00:57] write a book and nobody ever reads them they like I don't know what they do
[00:01:03] like a run of 10,000 copies or something and that's it but you have to kind of
[00:01:07] check the box and usually they don't even write the books themselves they bring
[00:01:09] somebody else in and interviews them gussies it all up publishes it but
[00:01:15] usually there's some sort of an editorial process right this is a
[00:01:20] governor sitting governor and there's some kind of an editorial process
[00:01:24] whereby somebody with fresh eyes different eyes and maybe a political advisor or
[00:01:31] two might read through it and say you know what let's leave this part out this
[00:01:37] part might not actually make you look like a good presidential or vice
[00:01:40] presidential candidate and Christy Noem has been rumored to be a potential
[00:01:47] VP pick for Donald Trump she was also rumored to have slept with Corey
[00:01:53] Lewandowski and get a lot of Botox or something whatever interface I don't
[00:02:00] know if any of this stuff is true but I do know she wrote some stuff in her
[00:02:04] book and I think that's true because she wrote it and she put it in her
[00:02:10] book and then nobody said yeah let's take that part out so I don't know if
[00:02:13] she doesn't have advisors or editors or anybody else but I'm trying to imagine
[00:02:21] the person that is helping her write this book and they're hearing the story
[00:02:24] and they're thinking oh yeah this totally makes you look presidential have you
[00:02:30] heard the story that she shot and killed her dog a puppy yeah the entire
[00:02:41] John Wick franchise rests upon the egregiousness of this act right
[00:02:50] Christy Noem defended her decision to kill her dog after an excerpt from her
[00:02:57] book outlining the incident caught her some flak from Democrats and everybody else
[00:03:07] this is not this is not a story of Democrats pouncing or seizing because
[00:03:11] first off we all know Democrats don't do that Republicans do but this is not
[00:03:15] an example of Democrats pouncing this is an example of literally everybody
[00:03:20] pouncing and seizing on this story she went on to Twitter and said I can
[00:03:29] understand why some people are upset about a 20 year old story of cricket
[00:03:34] one of the working dogs at our ranch in my upcoming book no going back
[00:03:40] the book is filled with many honest stories of my life
[00:03:44] good and bad days challenges painful decisions and lessons learned here's a
[00:03:52] lesson for you don't shoot and kill your dog
[00:03:57] and then write about it 20 years later when you're trying to be vice president
[00:04:02] that's a good lesson so heads up if anybody wasn't aware of this political advice
[00:04:07] I mean I know it's hard to to know 20 years down the road if you're going to enter politics
[00:04:11] if you haven't thought about it up until this point when you're about to
[00:04:15] to murder your dog right you're not thinking about a political career at that point because
[00:04:22] honestly if you were thinking about a political career I doubt you killed the dog
[00:04:27] right because at some point this gets out her book is titled no going back
[00:04:36] which is true right kind of on the nose a wet soft cute little nose kind of right on the nose
[00:04:47] no going back once you've told this story there's no going back
[00:04:53] subtitle the truth on what's wrong with politics and how we move America forward
[00:05:00] she lays out her plan to shoot America
[00:05:03] no it's actually going to be released next month and in one part of the book
[00:05:11] she recounts the story of how she shot and killed her 14-month-old white haired pointer
[00:05:19] after the dog killed another family's chicken flock when they returned from a hunting trip
[00:05:26] okay so they went out hunting with cricket 14-month-old dog
[00:05:32] and she was training cricket to hunt pheasants but apparently the dog was a lost cause it could
[00:05:39] not tell the difference between the captive chickens and the wild pheasants which were already shot
[00:05:47] because isn't that what you do right like the dog goes and gets the pheasant after you shoot it
[00:05:51] right or maybe I don't know do they find the pheasants and then point at it is that the deal
[00:05:57] there's one thing I learned from the dog whisperer it's never the dog's fault unless it's his dog that
[00:06:05] malls queen latif is little dog but other than that it's never it's never the dog's fault it's always
[00:06:11] the owner's fault who has not adequately trained the dog to know its position in the pack
[00:06:19] this is a 14-month-old dog it's a puppy right you took it out on a hunting trip it got surrounded by a
[00:06:27] whole bunch of poultry blood I'm assuming with the pheasants and all unless maybe you didn't kill
[00:06:32] any on the hunting trip but it I've seen Kristi Noem shoot I think I've I mean well I've seen
[00:06:39] her pose with a bunch of guns so I don't know I assume she's a pretty good shot I don't think
[00:06:43] they elect you governor of north dakot or south dakota well either the dakota is probably
[00:06:48] unless you're a good shot right let me think about that scandal it'd be worse than murdering your dog
[00:06:54] right like oh my gosh we have a governor who poses with shotguns but everybody knows she's
[00:07:00] a terrible shot she can't hit the broad side of a barn you know that kind of a thing whisper
[00:07:04] campaign would be brutal in south dakota so she recounts the story of how she shot her
[00:07:10] 14-month-old wired hair pointer she says it was not a pleasant job but it had to be done
[00:07:16] after it was over I realized another unpleasant job needed to be done
[00:07:24] but she had to dig the grave oh no she had to kill a goat she went and killed a goat afterwards
[00:07:33] a nasty and mean goat all right so let's get this straight here so she she takes the dog out
[00:07:42] for the pheasant hunt the dog gets the taste of blood or whatever they're on their way back
[00:07:47] he sees a bunch of chickens in the nearby field or whatever at the neighbor's farm and he
[00:07:52] I guess he jumps off the back of the pickup truck I mean I'm assuming it's a pickup truck but I don't
[00:07:55] know uh he escapes and he goes and he murders a bunch of the chickens probably thinking that
[00:08:02] he's doing what his owner did you know like oh she murdered a bunch of birds I'm gonna murder
[00:08:06] a bunch of birds I'm part of the pack check me out then he's put down and then she's like
[00:08:12] well you know what I just killed one animal I might as well go kill another animal
[00:08:16] I'm sensing a pattern here is it possible the cricket learned it from her
[00:08:22] because again it's never the dog's fault it's just if it's fallen in line with the pack leader
[00:08:28] has she displayed these types of behaviors before
[00:08:33] she says my hope is anybody reading this book will have an understanding that I always work
[00:08:37] to make the best decisions I can for the people in my life
[00:08:41] know she said people in her life people in her life could you imagine if she was in the white house
[00:08:52] with Joe Biden's German Shepherds first off I'm not thinking social security officers are getting
[00:08:59] uh getting bitten right that probably stopped pretty darn quickly on the other hand probably
[00:09:03] gonna have a bunch of shots fired calls right inside 1600 very very weird story
[00:09:10] okay a couple of messages uh regarding the Kristi Noem story shooting her 14 month old dog
[00:09:18] after it killed some chickens uh this was like 20 years ago Bob says hashtag pause up don't shoot
[00:09:29] after she killed the dog she then went and put down a nasty and mean goat and Bob
[00:09:42] and Bob sends another follow-up hashtag goat lives matter all right Bob that's all right
[00:09:49] that's quite enough from you Bob um let's see uh this is from Seth subject line Noem the Slayer
[00:10:00] Pete I am in no way defending Kristi Noem I sense a butt coming
[00:10:05] that there it is yep right I knew it I'm in no way defending Kristi Noem but if a dog mols a child
[00:10:12] to death what happens to said dog usually the dog is put down but that's a child it killed a kid
[00:10:23] so human lives above the dog life is one animal's life more or less important than another's
[00:10:30] than another's yes we eat chickens we don't eat dogs in this country usually
[00:10:41] unless there's famine probably but like under the current circumstances we do not eat dogs
[00:10:47] so yes some animals lives are worth more than others right we're not factory farming cats
[00:10:54] for you know they're pelts or anything and they do have soft pelts right um Allen
[00:11:08] a 14 month old dog is not a puppy
[00:11:15] I disagree I disagree I think if you're doing the calculation based on the dog years seven years
[00:11:21] you know and all that for each one year the dog is only going to be about 10 years old
[00:11:26] in human terms I consider that to be a kid and so I'm going to use the term puppy probably until
[00:11:33] like the teen years you know so I'm gonna say I disagree I think a 14 month old is still
[00:11:40] a puppy it tells me that it was not trained correctly or well enough or it was not well
[00:11:48] suited for the job it was trying to be put to and so it needed to be doing something else
[00:11:55] Allen goes on to say this animal is totally untrainable and aggressive
[00:12:01] it was a liability at best contrary to cultural fantasy animals are not humans
[00:12:08] okay I I don't believe I've anthropomorphized the dog in fact I get very angry at people who
[00:12:16] okay not angry just you know I make sarcastic comment well okay that's I make that about
[00:12:20] I made those about like everybody but okay I don't like it when people dress up their dogs and cats
[00:12:25] I don't like people anthropomorphizing their animals they're not people I agree with you on that one
[00:12:30] Allen we agree they are not humans that being said when it comes to dogs they are trainable
[00:12:37] very few dogs are not trainable but here's the key even if you did this
[00:12:44] you don't write it in a book if you want to be vice president
[00:12:49] I can't trust your judgment what kind of political chops well it's South Dakota never mind okay
[00:12:57] yeah but seriously like if you want to get onto a larger political stage telling people that you
[00:13:03] shot a 14 month old dog not a good way to do it and you should know that you should know that
[00:13:09] because there are a lot of people that go absolutely berserk on this topic they care more about pets
[00:13:16] and dogs than they do people I'm not saying that's completely unwarranted she says we love animals
[00:13:24] she posted on twitter after all the outrage ensued we love animals but tough decisions like this happen
[00:13:28] all the time on a farm sadly we just had to put down three horses a few weeks ago
[00:13:33] that had been in our family for 25 years okay well like that's that's different unless
[00:13:38] wait a minute three horses you put down three horses
[00:13:43] there's that pattern again like what happened you you put down one horse and you're like oh
[00:13:47] I gotta get me another I'd hey you two come over here pow pow you know like I don't know I kid look
[00:13:54] I kid I understand I got in-laws that are on the farm I understand that's Barack Obama ate a dog
[00:14:00] that's in his book too that's true remember that's true and what happened people went nuts
[00:14:07] and then forgot because he's a democrat and they elected him but other than that it's the same thing
[00:14:13] all right I got I'll read these messages I gotta but I'm gonna move on to another story but
[00:14:17] I'll read your messages GJM says chickens provide eggs along with themselves as sustenance for
[00:14:25] our bodies as you said we eat chickens and not dogs as such chickens are in fact much more
[00:14:31] valuable to humans okay well that's a fair argument I would just simply counter chickens
[00:14:39] do not have eyebrows hence less valuable that really is that that is the standard
[00:14:46] you got eyebrows we don't eat you right like that's it you're cuter we think you have these
[00:14:52] expressions and stuff you give us the you know the look and then we'll give you what you want
[00:14:57] that kind of stuff eyebrows equals cute and that means more valuable I don't make the rules
[00:15:04] Mark says I am one of my dogs human one of my dog's humans ah and it's hard to put down a dog even
[00:15:13] humanely I had to do it twice it was a real tear jerker I love my dogs yes anybody who's ever
[00:15:22] had to put down their pets knows the feeling you're just keep that in mind when you pick up a dog or
[00:15:27] a cat you adopt a dog or a cat like you're you're you're buying a heartbreak I mean it's worth it but
[00:15:35] it doesn't feel like it at the end I'm just saying now but then that's when you go out and
[00:15:39] you get a replacement you know and you give another dog or cat a lease on life or you just
[00:15:45] enjoy a clean house and you take a break from owning a pet for a while whatever I'm not telling
[00:15:49] you how to live your life John says if Trump wants to guarantee himself a win simply promise free
[00:15:54] healthcare for pets and Biden would not stand a chance that's actually a brilliant idea like
[00:16:01] free pet care free healthcare for pets and you would win probably a landslide you could even do
[00:16:13] you could even do like a like a clothing allowance for pets have you seen the outfits people put
[00:16:20] their pets into you know and they would be adorable think of the more think of the political ads you
[00:16:26] could run vote for me I've created the the pet warmth fund you know you got all these pictures
[00:16:35] new maybe get like Sally Struthers in there and she is she's still alive she's still alive
[00:16:41] and uh yeah she could do yeah like Sarah McLaughlin like singing in the background and all that
[00:16:47] okay did you hear about the KJP coup it failed it failed I don't want to get anybody's hopes up here
[00:16:56] but Carinj Jean Pierre apparently almost got ousted and by almost I mean not really but
[00:17:05] there was a plan but it never got off the ground but it was talked about okay this is the story
[00:17:11] that the New York Post had that top aids to president Biden secretly hatched a plan
[00:17:20] this past fall to replace White House Press Secretary Carinj Jean Pierre
[00:17:27] by recruiting outside allies to try to nudge her out the door so yeah so this was last fall
[00:17:36] it failed and so that's why we got the hilarity of Jean Pierre's interview with our own Mark
[00:17:44] Garrison right Carinj Jean Pierre who made history in May 2022 by becoming the first black and
[00:17:53] dope whoa whoa whoa New York Post you didn't capitalize black what's up with that she became
[00:18:02] the first black and first openly gay person to hold that position she had developed the
[00:18:08] exasperating habit of reading canned answers directly from a binder to reporters at her regular
[00:18:15] briefings which she still does by the way she has never been able to break herself of that habit
[00:18:22] don't let Christine Noem near her holy cow okay uh offering her superiors
[00:18:28] I'm sorry offering what her superiors viewed as a less than compelling pitch for the 81-year-old
[00:18:33] Biden as he readied his reelection campaign right so this is one of the things about being a White
[00:18:38] House Press Secretary or spokesperson is that everybody knows that you're spinning but you
[00:18:44] have to you've got to give the appearance that you believe it that you know this information
[00:18:51] and you believe it and that's why you're willing to get up there and spin like a complete hack right
[00:18:59] otherwise it just makes everybody feel a little gross you know like oh she's just reading this
[00:19:08] stuff from the binder it's just ugh it's just so icky you know but rather than like wow she
[00:19:14] really believes this I mean she's an idiot if she believes it but she really does believe it
[00:19:17] so you got to admire her for you know this is what she believes de facto White House communications
[00:19:24] chief I love that I love that term Anita Dunne remember her Anita Dunne she was the one I think
[00:19:31] she's the one that's got the posters of Mao in her kitchen or something but um de facto White
[00:19:37] House communications chief so what's Karin Champere do she is the wife Anita Dunne is the wife
[00:19:50] of Biden's personal attorney Bob Bauer as well do you know that sort of the puppet masters behind
[00:19:57] the scenes but apparently not without uh not with a lot of power because they couldn't even oust KJP
[00:20:03] Anita Dunne told colleagues that she had decided to call in prominent Democrats to explain
[00:20:08] to KJP that the time was ripe for her to move on I think it's time you go there was a number
[00:20:15] of people she asked to engage Karin said one source who heard of the strategy directly from Anita Dunne
[00:20:24] the source also told the New York Post that Dunne had claimed White House chief of staff Jeff Zients
[00:20:30] knew about and supported the cloaking dagger scheme to push Jean Pierre out of the West Wing
[00:20:38] outside folks who Karin knows and trusts would have talked to her and
[00:20:46] and tried to tell her that uh it's going to make a lot of sense for you and your career
[00:20:52] if you move along so you should be encouraged to do that now because like now's the time to
[00:20:57] make this jump right she had been in the job for a year and a half at that point and apparently
[00:21:02] that's pretty standard right for when to exit sort of like a dog on Kristi Noem's farm
[00:21:12] that's okay sorry I mean come on look it's the same time all right whatever trying to find a graceful
[00:21:20] exit because of the ugly optics of removing her against her will right the ugly optics of firing
[00:21:29] her because she sucks right quote there's a huge diversity issue and they are afraid of what folks
[00:21:37] are going to say according to the source a diversity in other words you can't fire her
[00:21:44] because she is the thing that you celebrated when you hired her in the first place right like look
[00:21:49] at us we're so diverse and we're so progressive and woke and everything else like we are hiring the
[00:21:54] first uh black gay openly gay woman and then that means apparently that you can never get
[00:22:00] rid of her if she's not doing a good job and so they were worried about the optics of it
[00:22:05] but slight problem kjp has been telling everybody since she got the gig that she's not going anywhere
[00:22:12] and she's going to stay through the 2024 election America hardest hit okay if you're listening
[00:22:19] to this podcast you are obviously paying attention to the world around us you also have really
[00:22:24] great taste I might add but if you haven't started getting prepared for various emergencies I gotta
[00:22:30] ask what are you waiting for please call my friends bill and jan at carolina readiness supply
[00:22:35] and they'll help get you started if you have no idea how to start they can help you if you're an
[00:22:39] experienced prepper they can help you too being prepared is just smart we've already established
[00:22:45] that you're smart I mean you listen to this podcast after all so let's put those smarts into
[00:22:50] action go to carolina readiness dot com that's carolina readiness dot com or call them at 828-226-7239
[00:22:59] carolina readiness supply has 2 000 square feet of supplies as well as educational materials
[00:23:04] that you're going to need for any kind of emergency veteran owned carolina readiness supply
[00:23:09] will you be ready when the lights go out uh u n c chapel hill the people's republic of
[00:23:14] chapel hill has fallen uh the american flag removed from the uh the flagpole on campus there and
[00:23:20] replaced with the palestinians flag as one does when you colonize a territory um and I do wonder
[00:23:30] if it was at half staff in honor of the the four law enforcement officers who were murdered
[00:23:38] yesterday in charlotte right that the flags were going to be flown at half staff and so did
[00:23:43] the hamos apologists homosologists homosagists did they um right did it make it easier because the
[00:23:54] flag was lowered or something I don't know it did take it seemed to have it seemed like they did
[00:23:59] not know how to get the flag off the rope so and that's not surprising because at this age
[00:24:07] the society has not taught these uh kids had to do very much of anything except protest
[00:24:11] and destabilize anyway back to the new york post story here karen jean pierre karen this is from a
[00:24:19] quote uh anonymous quote karen doesn't have an understanding of the issues and she reads the
[00:24:24] book binder word for word she and what's worse the situation is made worse by the fact that
[00:24:31] quote she thinks she's doing an amazing job that totally makes sense if you watch her it is
[00:24:43] so obvious she thinks she is knocking it out of the park and everybody else is watching this like
[00:24:51] you're just reading these talking points and not even doing that very well the person added quote
[00:24:58] she does not have a grasp of the issues and doesn't spend the time to learn whoa wait a minute
[00:25:11] this is some democrat inside the administration and I don't know I mean I've heard some
[00:25:16] I've heard some things but like this kind of borders on some racist kind of language right
[00:25:23] quote these issues are not second nature to people israel and gaza is a perfect example it's very
[00:25:28] nuanced gen would have calls with people gen pasackie they're comparing her to gen pasackie this
[00:25:33] anonymous source which is totally not gen pasackie said gen would have calls with people to feel
[00:25:38] well versed enough to go into the briefing there's an enormous amount of work that goes
[00:25:43] into getting ready and consistently she does not put in that level of work oh my gosh I can't
[00:25:48] believe they just said that in response White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates who was a former
[00:25:57] campaign spokesperson or press secretary for some North Carolina congress member I forget who but
[00:26:04] they were he comes out of North Carolina we're not sending our best but um he said not only
[00:26:09] are these claims well he was the one that lied about us by the way he was the one that
[00:26:12] lied and said that we had doctored that audio of Corinne Jean-Pierre so he says not only are these
[00:26:18] claims wildly false but the reality is the polar opposite gaslight on Corinne was never approached
[00:26:29] by anyone with such a message she spends four hours a day preparing every day
[00:26:36] whoa four whole hours wow that's impressive I mean I only spend like six to eight doing a three hour show
[00:26:50] and she spends four hours to answer questions that are written out for her in a binder oh okay
[00:26:58] that's hmm Bates added every press secretary uses the binder why is she being singled out
[00:27:07] well there you go there there you go play in the race card right that's what he's saying oh well no
[00:27:13] that's not fair it could also be the lgbtq plus two ia card right or maybe it's both is it's an
[00:27:20] intersectional card right like in uno you get the the draw four the draw two whatever yeah so
[00:27:30] is there a draw four is there a draw four in uno I don't know what's the other one
[00:27:35] one what's the one that's like the the heavy duty one it's been so long since I played uno
[00:27:40] you remember the whammy I can't remember I think it is the whammy okay no whammy no whammy no whammy
[00:27:47] right yeah that's uno um that reminds me of an Andy Griffin no I'm kidding I'm kidding
[00:27:55] in December not long after word of Anita Dunn's plan circulated in the White House
[00:28:00] Jean Pierre received an unsolicited offer to become presidente of Emily's List a major Democrat group
[00:28:11] that raises money for female candidates who support expanded abortion rights she turned it down
[00:28:18] she rejected that offer from Emily's List see that's right they gave her the golden parachute
[00:28:25] that gave her the off-ramp and she would not take it in December and we're supposed to believe
[00:28:31] that offer had nothing to do with the machinations of Anita Dunn and Jeff Zeinz who are now totally
[00:28:37] supportive of her because she's gotten so much better at reading from the binder by December
[00:28:46] Anita Dunn appeared to have accept appears to have accepted that Jean Pierre was secure in
[00:28:51] her post the pro Jean Pierre official told the what of the New York Post that Anita Dunn was among those
[00:28:58] who had backed her promotion from being Jen Pesachy's deputy press secretary those with less glowing
[00:29:07] reviews so those that don't like her very much um or her performance at least say KJP is not
[00:29:14] short of confidence quote I think everybody's resigned to the fact that she's not going
[00:29:19] anywhere on her own she thinks she's doing a really good job and thinks the president wants
[00:29:25] her to stay but what Joe Biden really wants is chocolate chip ice cream no I'm kidding it says
[00:29:33] what he really wants is unclear according to all of these sources that gave the New York Post this
[00:29:38] story they don't know they don't know what Joe wants that is the least surprising part
[00:29:47] of this entire story that Joe Biden is probably completely unaware of all of this stuff going on
[00:29:54] around him all right that'll do it for this episode thank you so much for listening I could not do
