Mailers in North Carolina legislative races say two Democrats support legalization of hookers and heroin. [00:00:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Alrighty hour number three news talk 1110 993 WBT Pete Kaliner here
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: 704-570-1110 is the phone number the email is Pete at thepeakkalinershow.com and on the Twitter machine
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: at Pete Kaliner
[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_00]: did not expect
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Hookers and blow to be such a prominent feature of this election. I have to acknowledge it
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I was not aware. I did not have this on the radar or my bingo card
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: First a
[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: pretrial hearing in Hunter Biden's federal tax evasion case
[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Was held his defense attorney Mark Garagos if that name rings the bell it's because he's a high-profile attorney guy
[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: and
[00:01:17] [SPEAKER_00]: The both sides argued their motions
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Trying to exclude
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Different types of evidence or arguments from being presented during a trial and that's standard before you have the jury in place
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: You go over these different
[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Issues with the judge ahead of time like I want this witness in I want this piece of evidence
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want that in or whatever and so then the judge makes determinations on what is allowed in or not
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Judging by the motions filed and the arguments made
[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: It seems that the defense strategy is going to be to argue that while in the throes of addiction
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Hunter Biden had diminished mental capacity and
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_00]: secondarily that his tax preparers and advisors
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Had some kind of enhanced
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Responsibility to ensure that the deductions he was claiming were all legitimate
[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But they shirked their responsibility
[00:02:15] [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't do enough to make sure he wasn't lying on his taxes
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Assistant US Attorney Leo wise
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Said quote no matter how many drugs you take you don't suddenly forget when you make 11 million dollars that you need to pay taxes on it
[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Well
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Depends on how how many drugs you're taking Leo. No
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the argument that he was so whacked out on
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_00]: all of the drugs that
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He'd he had some sort of a diminished mental capacity and so he is now
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolved of the responsibility for filing accurate taxes on the 11 million dollars
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_00]: That he pulled in
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_00]: from like foreign
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: companies and
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: governments
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Garagos
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: argued that he should be able to call to the stand and
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Addiction expert
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Who will supposedly provide testimony that hunter Biden's cocaine addiction was caused by traumas such as the
[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: 1972 car crash that killed his mother and sister
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: As well as his brother Bo's death in 2015
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_00]: But Garagos failed to list any of the particular opinions that the expert would give
[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's kind of hard for the prosecution in the case
[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_00]: To prepare for a witness when they don't know what the witness will actually testify to
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So the judge ruled for the prosecution and said no you don't get to call that that expert witness
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_00]: The judge also said that witnesses can testify to what they observed about the level of hunters drug use over time
[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: But they're not allowed to offer opinions as to what they think caused it
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So this is going to be
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: This could be a sort of a a line that the prosecution's gonna have to walk in the case
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: So as to not you know open the door for the defense to now bring in some expert opinion
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So if you're doing your exam here
[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You put your witness up on the stand and your examination of the witness and you're asking them to detail all of the drugs and
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Then inadvertently one of them says something along the lines of yeah
[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: He said after his brother died he had to do all the drugs or whatever it got worse after bow dies
[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: They say something like that that could quote open the door for the cross examination, right?
[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Garagos attempted to exclude any evidence or testimony about tabloid II that's a quote tabloid II
[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Details of what hunter Biden spent his money on instead of paying the taxes
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So that was one of the things that they wanted to
[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: To cut out of the the trial and the testimony like look he didn't pay his taxes
[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Just argue about that no need to talk about what he spent his money on
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: the prosecution
[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_00]: According to Garagos the defense attorney the prosecution is just trying to slime his client
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_00]: By going into detail the tabloid II details
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: about the money that hunter spent on
[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: prostitutes drugs
[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Lamborghinis
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: pornographic websites and luxury hotel suites that were used for drug-fueled orgies
[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Which he of course claimed all of the above as business expenses
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Which are not allowed to do by the way just in case like yes, even if you're a pimp
[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, even if you are a rock star you don't get to claim those as business expenses. Okay
[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Garagos said that this is a form of character assassination by the prosecution in order to paint a lopsided
[00:06:21] [SPEAKER_00]: completely untethered from reality picture of hunter Biden
[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_00]: To which assistant US Attorney Leo Weiss responded quote hunter describes his life as
[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Bacchanal
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Bacchanal I've never known how to pronounce it doesn't matter just yeah
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Partying in the hotels with a cast of strippers. He chose to pay those strippers
[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: He chose to take it as a business deduction
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Right, so how is it that like so I'm supposed to believe that he's so whacked out on the drugs that
[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: He not only forgets
[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_00]: right to file certain
[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Income but he also then takes business deductions for the drug-fueled orgies
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. He claims them as deductions
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's because of the drugs too. Is that what I'm okay?
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Why would you file anything at all like if you're so whacked out on the drugs? Why are you filing anything?
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: anyway
[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_00]: The US Attorney argued that it is necessary for the government to provide details of what the money was spent on in
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Order to meet their burden of proof. He said quote
[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: We don't need to gild the lily here. He goes to pick this woman up at the airport
[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_00]: He rented a Lamborghini, which I didn't even know you could rent Lamborghinis
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Wonder what that would cost. I've never driven a Lamborghini
[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I have driven a fair amount of luxury and sports cars in my life
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Not because I know people that own them but because for a summer I was a valet
[00:07:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I got to park cars and I parked all sorts of cars. I never got to park a Lamborghini
[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_00]: That's probably for the best anyway, then he deducts that
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Lamborghini rental as a business expense
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: When the only thing he used it for was to drive it to the airport to pick up his hooker
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_00]: The jury needs these details in order to determine whether there was a mistake
[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Right was this because think about it if you're on a jury and they come in there like
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he didn't claim these business or he claimed business deductions that were not business deductions
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_00]: The first question that any juror that I would have as a juror would be well, what did he claim?
[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: What didn't he claim right now? Well, I would want to know because if it's like, oh, I bought some copy paper
[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_00]: You know out of pocket and then I you know
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I deducted that because it was copy paper for the printer and I used that to print off
[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, whatever my business proposals for barisma, whatever
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_00]: That's different than I'm claiming as a business deduction the rental of a Lamborghini
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So I can go pick up a prostitute at the airport. That's different, you know
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Hunter could argue that the inclusion of that expense as a business expense was just a mistake
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Like all my bad. I thought yeah, I I mean I rent so many Lambos
[00:09:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I just I just forgot the US attorney says look you can spend
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_00]: $30,000 on a porn website if you want that's not illegal, but you cannot claim it's a business expense
[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know you could spend $30,000 on porn sites. That's amazing
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_00]: $30,000
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_00]: One of the strippers said she got or prostitute said she got a $1,500 Venmo payment
[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_00]: And the payment description was for artwork and the US attorney asked in deposition. Did you sell him any artwork? She says no
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_00]: See he was an artist even before he stick around we have confirmed Brett Jensen will join us in about 10 minutes or so
[00:10:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Talking about story. He broke out of Gaston County about Kamala enlisting the kids
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, her surrogates
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Through the school system, I don't think you can do that actually. I know you can't do that
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_00]: So alright, we'll talk to Brett about that in moments, but first
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_00]: The Charlotte Observer keeping in in line with our theme here on hookers and blow
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_00]: voters in Mecklenburg County house districts 105 and 98
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: received mailers this month
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: warning that Democrat Beth health rich
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Wants to legalize heroin and hookers. I'm sorry. So hook hookers and heroin
[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_00]: But heroin okay, and the Democrat Nicole Sidman wants to legalize prostitution and hard drugs
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_00]: It is a claim that health riches campaign calls an alarming mischaracterization
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And one that health riches
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Republican opponent says she wasn't involved in this came from the state party
[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Health rich said in a statement to the Charlotte Observer
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: That serious issues call for serious holistic approaches not absurd scare tactics
[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_00]: So where did this hookers and heroin claim come from?
[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Comes from the fact that hell rich
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_00]: supports
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: The North Carolina Democratic Party's progressive caucus. This is the caucus that keeps on giving
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_00]: They endorsed her
[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_00]: They endorsed her health rich won the endorsement back in February posting on Instagram a pledge to
[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_00]: uphold the values of the caucus
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, what are the values of the caucus? Well according to their platform that they posted online
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_00]: It says they want to decriminalize sex work as well as narcotics
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: That's where the claim about heroin and hookers comes from because they very plainly say they want both heroin and hookers to be legalized
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_00]: That's a quote from Steven Wiley the caucus director for the North Carolina House Republicans
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Um in order to receive an endorsement from the progressive caucus
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_00]: candidates have to apply and go through a multi-step process that includes answering a questionnaire
[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_00]: The mail or about Sidman
[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Sites the North Carolina Democratic Party platform from 22 and 24 to support the idea that she wants to legalize prostitution
[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And hard drugs like heroin and meth
[00:12:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Because the North Carolina Democratic Party platform adopted
[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Supports decriminalizing sex work and narcotic use in an effort to remove discriminatory practices
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So this is what your party endorsed. This is what y'all said
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So
[00:13:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Why are you mad that it's?
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_00]: being publicized
[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Josh artists a spokesperson for the North Carolina Democratic House caucus said quote the platform advocates for a
[00:13:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Compassionate evidence-based approach to public health and criminal justice reform a desire for pragmatic solutions to complex societal problems
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Not an endorsement of the dangerous behavior. The mailers suggests
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: This is sort of like almost pregnant
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Health rich believes in
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Policies that keep our community safe support public health and address systemic inequalities not in reckless legalization of harmful activities
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: See so it would be controlled like alcohol, right? That's the idea here, which is a
[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the is it decriminalization or is it legalization?
[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_00]: legalization
[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_00]: The party's platform considers substance abuse disorders to be diseases and prioritizes rehab over
[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_00]: incarceration by the way, how many people get released out of the Mecklenburg County jail?
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: That that are addicted to drugs they get released and then they pass away after they get out
[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Because they were clean in jail and then they're released through a diversion program and
[00:14:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Then they overdose and those stats don't count towards the jail
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, you know, it's a good way by the way to reduce the mass
[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_00]: incarceration and protect sex workers from exploitation and abuse a good way to do that you could control the flow of illegal immigration
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_00]: We're a whole lot of exploitation and abuse occurs. Did you know that Democrats? You could yeah totally
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_00]: You could use that I am giving it to you that is an idea from me to you
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe work it into your platform. All right
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, real quick if you would like to get your product or service in front of about 10,000 people multiple times a day

[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Send me a message Pete at the Pete calendar show comm and I can show you how it works run the numbers with you again
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: That's Pete. All right news talk 1110 99 3
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_00]: WBT news area said that 704 570 1110
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_00]: You are you are not mistaken. It is it is still only 230
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_00]: But that is the theme song for Brett Jensen breaking with Brett Jensen. You could hear it here on WBT weekdays
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_00]: at
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_00]: 7 o'clock and he joins us now from the WB not from the WBT News Center
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_00]: But he is of the center. He is of the newsroom Brett. How are you sir?
[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Just fine good for having yes, sir
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So I caught the story at the top of the hour
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So I reached out I was like I gotta I gotta get some information from you on this story out of Gaston County where
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Apparently the school system was used to try to recruit
[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I guess what volunteers for the Harris-Walls campaign kind of walk us through what the what the details are
[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_01]: So
[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a young kid and I say kid but he's like 23 24 years old by the name of Reed Brunig
[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And he says that he is an organizer in Gaston in Cleveland County's for the Harris-Walls campaign
[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_01]: the name of the group is victory 2024 and
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Basically what he did was he went to some Gaston County high schools went to the websites
[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_01]: found the email addresses for the teachers and then proceeded to email about 400 teachers and administrators and staff
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_01]: saying hey look if any of your kids and students would like to
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Volunteer and work five to ten hours a week to ensure that North Carolina Democrats get elected
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_01]: We would love to have them and we'd love to talk to them on a zoom call
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_01]: And if you'd like to fast forward that
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: To any of your students I would love to talk to them
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the teachers did it
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's a problem with that. Yes, that's illegal. Yes very much so
[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And so now there was illegal two different ways it was illegal because they
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Was talking about politics which it is a North Carolina general statute that they are not allowed to talk about
[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_01]: They're not allowed to talk about or promote
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Candidates or agendas or anything like that. They're not teachers or government employees
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But people that work at Mecklenburg County government can't have a vote for Trump sign on their desk
[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You can't do that and so that's violation number one number two
[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Is that they sat there and they said they used a government email to do it because they use the
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_01]: The Gaston County school board or a Gaston County schools email system
[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Which is also illegal you can't use government email addresses or any anything like that and so
[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Some of the school board members found out about it after parents were raising cane as one might expect
[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_01]: by saying Gaston County and
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: The school board immediately got with HR immediately got with IT department and then from there
[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_01]: They were like they were able to
[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Block the emails that had not been open but unfortunately
[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_01]: That a lot of the damage had already been done and so I reached out and I called the
[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: 23 24 year old Reed Brunig and
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_01]: He he's like look I really can't talk to you. We have a person that does that for comms
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_01]: But at the same point I thought okay, why get it then I said well just out of curiosity
[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_01]: What um
[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_01]: What what's the uh, did you just do this on your own and I found that hardly hard to believe because
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_01]: 2324 don't do anything well being told especially in a government position like that
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was about to applaud him or praise him for his initiative to go through and find all the emails and I
[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Was I was gonna give him some credit for it even if it is illegal, but I like I admire the ingenuity
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, well so I just said I said I know you can't talk but I'm just curious to set out of curiosity
[00:19:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Um, like you know is it just like I said I've never heard this before he goes. Oh, yeah
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_01]: We do it nationally we do it nationwide
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_01]: We offer these programs nationwide to high school students and I went oh, okay
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know that's against the law in other states or not
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_01]: But I know what the situation here is in North Carolina
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So with that being said I reached out to the person that he said was their comms director and
[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_01]: Their comms director is Dory McMillan and she was the person the comms person for Governor Cooper
[00:19:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Mm-hmm during those 14 months when they didn't take a question from me during Kobe
[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, so how did your request?
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_00]: How did that request turn out?
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they called me and oh you submit your request in an email
[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Asking what you'd like to know I just said yeah
[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to know about this particular program that you have and they said okay great and never heard back. Mmm
[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Sort of like what happened with the governor and all that so yeah, maybe you guys
[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly where we are and so I did speak to people with Meg Geer or Gassen County GFP and others
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_01]: So it was um if like said they they did they ask the Gassen County teachers to do something illegally
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so it's obviously the story is still developing but it sounds like
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_00]: McMillan stuffed you into the like team B or team C grouping there
[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_00]: So you don't get to ask the questions. They don't have to take your call
[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_00]: At the press kind that because for folks who aren't aware
[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_00]: That's what Brett is talking about is during the COVID pandemic
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_00]: When they shut everything down and you would try reporters would try to dial in to ask the governor questions during is like every other day
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_00]: appearance in front of the state they would they would segregate reporters
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So the ones that would ask tough questions never got on
[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Only approved media outlets whatever get access to ask the question
[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think and I if I recall correctly she used to be with the
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_00]: What was it was the AFL CIO if I remember correctly? She was a union leader
[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_00]: In the state before she ended up at the governor's office
[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Do we have well the first time the first time I met her she was the comms director back in 2019
[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_01]: She was the comms director for Dan the creed who was when he was running against Dan Bishop. Sure
[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm I'm curious do we know how many of the emails you said a bunch of them got blocked
[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_00]: But a lot of them did not do we have any idea how many got blocked versus how many got through? I
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_01]: That I do not have that number and I'm not sure Gassin County really knew that number
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But because this guy was the operative for Cleveland County and Gassin counties
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_01]: They immediately called the superintendent in Cleveland County and said be on the lookout for all these emails going directly to your teachers
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_01]: And so as a result Gassin County just said look here's what we're gonna do
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and you know include us to them. They immediately said we're gonna
[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_01]: We're gonna go ahead and
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we're gonna go ahead and uh get a video together
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_01]: HR got a video sent to all high school teachers
[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And said here's the video on what to do and why not to do and what you can and what you can't do and just refresh your course
[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_01]: And they're actually gonna have to
[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Take things in person as well as the video and all that so it's a whole yeah
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_01]: The Gassin County schools react it immediately like I said immediately called Cleveland County
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well and it's um, this is something that comes up usually around bond referenda, right where?
[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Schools and district leaders and stuff they and county commissioners or
[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You know vote yes on the school bonds and stuff and they always like then they get smacked down
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_00]: And it happens pretty regularly like you're not supposed to be campaigning
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_00]: With you know on government time on taxpayer fund with resources like that's that's pretty standard
[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_00]: But I got a wonder now if this kid is correct and he's not
[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, he's not making it sound like a bigger operation, but if he if it is a larger operation
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Why would it just stop at Cleveland County? This might be happening all over the state
[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's the thing when um when I asked myself
[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_01]: This is like I've just explained to me how this work is like, you know
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Is this something that you do locally or
[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever he goes. Oh no. No. No. We do this nationally. I went. Oh
[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then he said and then you know read immediately said look I really can't say anything else
[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_01]: I need you to talk to Dory Macmillan instead, but okay
[00:23:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Now this poor kid is probably going to be out of his gig now because he talked to you Brett. I'm just
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know what's funny you say that?
[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_01]: You know and I spoke to him and he was a super nice kid. He made super nice
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't like any you know super nice
[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_01]: But I hung up and I immediately looked to somebody and I said they're gonna make him the sacrificial lamb. They might
[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they might they may say that he did this on his own that there's no national or statewide program about this or something
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because at the state level they they obviously know what the rules are and uh, I suspect this is something that is directed
[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_00]: And it makes sense. You got a lot of young kids, right?
[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Marshall the forces and get them all out there to get registered and show up at rallies and all of that stuff
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know kids are impressionable and younger kids. They tend to be more
[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Of the democrat persuasion. So it you know, it makes sense to you know to go fish and where the fish are
[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, but yeah, you can't use the school resources to do it and the teachers should know that
[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Here's the and here's the other kicker to all this
[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_01]: The they had the subject line of the email was class of 2025
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm a student and I see an email coming from my teacher talking about class of 2025
[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm opening the email sure
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, and that's that's what's also getting lost in all this
[00:25:00] [SPEAKER_01]: so they used school emails they put it on the school message board
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_01]: And they again and they were talking about politics
[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, three strikes right there. Yeah
[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Brett Jensen I appreciate it. You got your show tonight. Are you doing your show tonight?
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, we've got north kelin a tar hill football. Oh, that's right. Okay. So no, Brett Jensen tonight
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00]: What about tomorrow night? Are you working tomorrow night?
[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I just like we will absolutely have a show tomorrow
[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_00]: All right, there you go. That's Brett Jensen from the wbt news radio. You can hear him on uh,
[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, seven o'clock here on wbt appreciate your time. Brett good story. I appreciate it
[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a big flop. You didn't tell me. Yes, sir. Take care. All right. Thanks again to Brett Jensen with uh with the details on
[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_00]: what is
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_00]: What uh
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Just a dumb move but
[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I understand
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I understand why it happens
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Um votes. Yeah power. All right. Um
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I got an email here from john to pete at the pete call in our show dot com
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I was unaware that you could rent lamborghines. I did not know this
[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Um hunter biden apparently rented lamborghines to pick up prostitutes at the airport
[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_00]: um, and this is coming out at the trial out in california
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_00]: but um
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_00]: John says that at the charlotte airport there are high-end cars that you can rent
[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty sure they have a rolls roice there
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not positive about lamborghines though
[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_00]: well
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Well now I have something to do like now this is something I need to do. Well first I got a price check it
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Right first thing is I got to say what does the rolls roice rental cost?
[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_00]: for like
[00:26:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Two hours, that's all just uh just drive it around
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Just yeah, just drive it around the neighborhood
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: You know pull up to people offer them grape coupon that kind of thing
[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Just you know videotape it get the tiktok video likes and such get the clicks and so I did not realize that
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Um, I also noticed joe biden has been um on vacation for quite a while
[00:27:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I did hear today actually this morning that he is now going to be doing some campaign stops for kamala
[00:27:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Which makes sense because remember at the dnc?
[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh when he gave his speech at the convention
[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_00]: He said that he was going to be helping her
[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Win that like there would be no better volunteer
[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Than joe biden right he's like i am all in i'm going to do everything i can to help
[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna find no
[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_00]: bigger or better
[00:27:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Volunteer for her campaign than me and then he got on a plane and he flew to california for a vacation
[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And then he got on a plane and then he flew back east and uh went on another vacation
[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And so that got me thinking
[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe this is the best way that he can help the campaign
[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Right what better way to help kamala harris than to just
[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Go into hiding and and try to help everybody forget that you're the president
[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_00]: This way nobody can tether you as politico said tether him to her or her to him see
[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I know that there is a dash in the biden harris campaign
[00:28:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Biden harris administration they put a little dash between their names like that but that is not a tether
[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Although it actually it actually it is like in the english language it is a tether
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_00]: All right, but now he's going to be back apparently
[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_00]: two weeks on the beach on vacation
[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And uh he's now ready to go
[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_00]: fired up
[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_00]: This should be interesting i'll be watching tonight the uh interview with harris on cnn
[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And her emotional support governor tim waltz
[00:28:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I will let you know all the highlights tomorrow red wernables coming up next stick around
