Okay, so I'm going to wrap this up here because I know, look, I get it, people are uncomfortable with a lot of what we've been discussing over the last two hours. The you know, and this is always the way. I remember having these uncomfortable conversations and arguments around Mark Robinson's candidacy. I remember having them around Madison Cawthorn when somebody quote on the right that you may like they do something where they're at the center of a scandal of some kind or whatever, and we start talking about it and people don't want to hear it. They just want me to kind of, you know, ignore it because we're helping the left. But no, like, it's important to understand the issue and the arguments, what people are saying, but also what the facts are right. That's how we arrive at truth. And I'm like, that's where I prefer to be. That's the course I prefer to chart. But I understand it, like I get it. There are people that really, really like Tucker Carlson. I used to be one of those people. I used to when he launched the podcast. I'd watch his stuff. I used to. I mean, I remember when he was a daily caller. I remember when he was a crossfire. I used to like Tucker Carlson. And now I don't want to give him any kind of likes or follows or anything. Like that because I don't know what it is that he's doing. I don't understand how or the motivation behind why he uses his platform the way he uses it. I can defend the way I use my platform. That's all I can do. I can make the decisions for who I put on the show, how I treat guests and callers, people who disagree with me. You know, if I want to bring somebody on to debate them and you know, and have that kind of argument, that's my call, and then I will stand by who I bring on the show, which is which makes me very discerning on who I bring on the show. And yes, that. Applies to callers, it applies to the text messages. Yeah, because there are things that I'm not going to engage in. That's my choice, and you know, I stay and by those choices. So I understand. It's like this topic rubs people the wrong way because they don't It's like mommy and Daddy are fighting kind of a thing. I get it, but this is now too important. I've been, like I said in the earlier in the program, like I've been watching this simmer and it's it's only gotten worse. And I think it's only going to get worse because Donald Trump is not going to be around as the president, you know, after three years, and he may be far more weakened after next year's midterm election. He could be subjected to more impeachments, he could be investigated, lots of subpoenas going out, all of that. If the Democrats take the House. That's the reality and what always happens, whether it's local politics, state politics, or national when the politician in charge is weakened and people don't think that they've got anything to gain anymore. By cozying up to that power source, they will then try to make their own way, right, They'll take their shots at the president. They will. If you are in like the influencer world, they will attempt to, you know, carve out a larger chunk of followers from that pool. You know. In fact, hang on, I had a here. It is Eric Erickson, who's a talk show host out of Atlanta, he says, and his show is carried here in WBT. I believe right, Eric ericson weekends. He's on the weekends Sundays. He says, every populist movement collapses when the charismatic leader goes away. The anti Semitic fissures are coming as Trump heads to lame Duck's status. I await the crackup of a movement that would welcome anti Semites in as part of a coalition on the right. So what is he saying there? If the anti Semites want to segregate themselves and identify themselves as Grouper's and they want to attach themselves to Nick Fouentes and that whole Influenzer podcast to stand they want to go that direction, let them go, Let them go, and whatever coalition exists afterwards. May not be able to win at least initially, but they will be able to win at some point. You welcome in that that it's not far right, but this, this Nazi boot liquor crowd you want them in. That's then then I'm out, and a lot of other people are out too, and you're not going to win either. And I suspect that that's the point. But you know me, I'm all about solutions. So here's a senior editor at The Blaze, Daniel Horowitz. He says, Okay, here's an action plan. Okay. So for people who are like I don't want to fund Israel, I don't want to support Israel, I hate Israel for you know, non antisemitic reasons. I just I don't like them, right, Okay, So here's an action plan. You phase out all aid to Israel. Okay, get rid all the aid. Now, remember most of that aid is actually like military stuff that they buy from US, right, So phase that out, okay, but also phase out the agreement that they're not allowed to develop their own systems. So now they're free to do whatever they want, right, cut all the ties, let them do whatever they want. They can build their systems, and we don't make them buy our systems for the money, like, nothing like that. Okay, okay, phase all that out. Also, we stop intervening in their affairs in either direction. So we're not going to you know, help them, We're not going to hurt them. We're just like you're on your own, Israel, Like just lose our number, delete our number from your phone. Okay, all right, phase out aid to all of Israel's Arab neighbors as well and competitors, because you know, it's kind of weird. We never hear anybody complaining about all the money we give to Egypt, and we give them a lot, right, nobody's calling for us to cut off funding to Egypt. Okay, but we have. But fair is fair, So no more money to any of those countries, right, so we defund Israel, but we defund all of the Arab nations too. No more money to any of anybody, to anyone, right, Just you cut out all of that, okay. APAC hear about this this organization all the time. Ban all foreign lobbying, no exceptions. I know Polish Americans they have an APAC like organization. You guys, cut off band, none of it not a lot. I know you're American, but no pro Hungary, Nope, anybody that's from another country. Nothing. Cut it all out, and then also stop trying to promote any kind of a peace process for Israel. We're done. You guys figured out yourselves, right, and then we just go back to focus on domestic policy. Right, that's America first. Right. Anybody who really believes in not intervening there and putting America first should adopt this. So how come we don't hear this? I will just leave that question out there because I don't know the answer. I'm not going to describe motives to people I don't know. But I think that's a fair plan, he suggests, right, completely get out of all of it and let them do what they're going to do, and we don't weigh in on their behalf. We don't help them, we don't hurt them, but we also don't help anybody else in that region. Now, of course, it also then makes me wonder does China step into that role and start helping countries in that region too? But whatever, you know, small price to pay. Let the tricoms take it over. You know, stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things to understand. Experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. Visit creative video dot com. See I said, I wasn't going to keep talking about it, but people want to talk about it. So from the text line, Pete, I enjoy your show because I love your logic. What logic. I try not to employ that too often, and that you work on facts. What the way the crowd at Old Miss looked at jd Vance was remarkable. The younger crowd is going to the Republican side, and you are correct. It's only smart to get rid of or to shed evil. I want to say this on the air. Whoops, sorry, because I don't think the left has realized they have lost the younger vote. Oh they do, they do know. I don't think they get it. I don't want to tip them off. They do, and they have lost they are well, they haven't lost it. They are losing youth voters because they have gone so far radical. They've lost a lot of older voters too. They've lost in like every demographic. So Ato three number says Pete. May God help us if we reach the level of anti Semitism that was reached in the nineteen thirties that resulted in the catastrophic holocaust in World War two, we are in a load of trouble because that'll be World War three. This is from Jennifer, who says it seems to me Tucker's arrogance has dramatically increased since he left Fox. Maybe, so. Let Pam and know that the congestion on Wilkinson Boulevard is because the BBQ king is packed. It's their last day. Yeah, they're closing. So Danny, welcome to the show. Hello, Danny, Hey, how you doing today. I'm all right, Harriet, I'm doing fine. I'm a retired marine. I first of all, I appreciate I appreciate what you said about you know, by rude, because a lot of people don't talk about all the Marines that were killed over there. And I was over there and I was on patrol. I'd be dead too, So I do appreciate that. Sure, and go see my brothers back and the saying but uh on the thing by Tucker Carlson, Man, I couldn't agree with you. I'm I'm so disappointed in that guy. Yeah, because I used to watch him on Fox and I liked him. Luck, But I'm sorry if you're going to get Israel, no, no, And I'm not a person to go to church a lot of time, even God, But no, that they're just trying to defend themselves, and what do you expect them to do? We wouldn't take all the stuff that they have to deal with. So I mean America first means we do support them. I mean, that's just my opinion. I do believe that they support We should support Israel because Israel's good. These other people they if they weren't trying to kill it Jews, they'd be trying to kill us. Well. So I mean I would say, no, no country is good or bad in you know, without exception, right, I mean countries and governments. I should say governments, right. The governments are made up of people, and people do bad things, right, So obviously there are things that the country, the government of Israel does that I'm not going to agree with all of that stuff. I don't follow Israeli politics. I don't know what's going on over there in their you know, the inner workings of their govern I'm sure, I am absolutely sure they do stuff that I would disagree with. My government does stuff that I disagree with. Here. That doesn't mean I agree with America right, that doesn't like And the idea that that we shouldn't have any allies to me is illogical. It's absurd. You want allies, you don't want to be alone, because if you don't have friends, then as they get picked off one by one by authoritarian, communist or as lomist regimes. Then eventually you got nobody left to help, you know, So like that's the idea, is that that's the time for choosing that Reagan talked about. I agree with that one hundred percent. Yeah. I mean there are a lot of things. When I was in the Marine Corps, there are plenty of things that our government ordered and alsos in front of us ordered. It just wasn't right. I'm not talking about I'm talking about as far as safe or help in our own military, putting my self in danger. There are a lot of things I don't agree with. I'm just talking. I don't know the right word, but maybe the basic of it that for what they stand for I agree in, and what a Maria stands for I agree in. Yeah, agree for Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I understood. Yeah, I just yeah, just just to clarify, yeah, I just said what I said to clarify it. But because you know, you'll you say that and then people are like, oh, Israel did this bad thing, and so ha, you're wrong on everything, and no, you're not wrong on everything. Like it it is one of the only what it is the only Western nation that exists over in that part of the world. They are the military might of that area of the world. I would rather them be friendly to us. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with everything that they do, and it doesn't mean that I want to, you know, send US troops to defend Israel and all this other stuff. So amen, Yeah, all right, I agree. I agree with he just one of the thing right, pass and stuff. I just you know, people that think that that part of the world so great in the way they trade people, would they please go over there and vis at one time? Jacking. Yeah, Danny, I appreciate the call, buddy, have a great weekend. Thanks for your service. To appreciate it. Welcome home, Thank you man. Hi brother, take it easy. Let me go and get Mark on real quick. Hello Mark, Welcome to the show. Hello Pete. Hello, yeah, yes, all, this is very everything you have with your guest today is very familiar to me in my own my own being my own self educated way of after turning, after having my own made my own traite to have take a critical thinking class as a freshman in college and I just begin a student in that and have supplemented my supplemented one necessary my original textbook. I want to talk about this because in evangelicalism is covered by Christianity Yesterday and Ralph Read's rhetoric about it. Knowing Christianity today ran an art was talked about. But we've had great things on popular on popular cults back in the nineties, and I do have those issues containing those articles away. But that is getting I want to segue off of. This is because the Wallpole had to recant a something happened in the nineties when we had the midterms or the first term of Bill Clinton. Michael Weisskoff and the wall pos stated that we talked about televangelists and faith and action. This is related by Ralph reading his book Active Faith being final, popular televangelists being poor, uneducated, and easy to command. This is known as the Mott Bailey trick, an alternate between two different positions of which you call be the same name when not hard pressed. Uses the expansive but hard to define one to make points when attacked, retreat to easily defend, but doesn't support your claims. One. Yeah, we've talked about the Mott Bailey Yeah, Yeah, I've talked about the Mott Bailey tactic in particularly on the woke left. You make some outlandish claim, people attack you for it. That's the bailey or that's the Mott. I always get them confused. But it conjures up the image of the old medieval castle right where you got like the farmland on the outside of the walls. You go out there, you make some outlandish claim, you say something terrible, you get attacked for it. Then you retreat back inside the walls into the tower. And that's a more easily defensible position. And so you say things like, well, what's the matter. Don't you care about equality? You know? And then it was like, well, of course I care about equality, or like on the trans thing, it was, you know, let's get puberty blockers to five year olds. And it's like, well, that's crazy, why would we do that? And it's like, well, why do you, like, don't you support children's healthcare? And that's the more easily defensible position. Right, Gender is a social condition. Uh, Atheism is just a lack of belief of God, a supposedly defensible position. And then stating equivalent to Marx and saying religion is the opiate of the masses, a belief in God is a delusion. So now and a modern rhetoric is stating that white supremacy is falsely equivocated to be a toxic masculinity, and Christian nationalism being false equivocated to Christian Zionism, and Charlie the I got referenced the Charlie kirkvido that he dismantles uh dismantles white privilege and white nationalists Christian nationalism that he dismantles that. But I've got to well, I've got to listen to it. But I wanted to say, yeah, real quick because I'm already late for news. Yeah, just so real quick. Thank you, thank you Pete for your time. I've got a graphic. I'll email it to you. Okay, all right, I appreciate it. Mark, have a good weekend, sir. Here's a great idea. Call or text eight two eight, three six seven seventy sixty eight or check out all there is to offer at Cabins of Ashville dot com and make memories that'll last a lifetime. So all right to shift gears, Because I've been talking about Donald Trump, about the uh, the fact that he's you know, potentially at risk of becoming a lame duck president after the midterm elections. This has been part of the reason why Republicans have been redistricting throughout the country. It's not that's not the only reason. I've gone over these reasons before. You've got, you know, the census count that was erroneous back in twenty twenty, under counting half a dozen red states and over counting half a dozen blue states, which led to more seats being allocated for for Democrats than they otherwise should have had. Then you also have the illegal alien population that is counted as part of the census. And then you also have the fact that Texas had to redraw their districts, which then prompted California to take its steps. And then Trump came out It's like, okay, if everyone's going to redistrict, then everybody should go ahead and do it to try to maintain the Republican majority. And so that's where we are. North Carolina did this. They redrew one district. Right now, we have fourteen congressional seats, ten of them are held by Republicans. There's one competitive district district one currently represented by Democrat Don Davis. It's in the sort of northeast side of the state, and now it's a more competitive district for Republicans, So they could pick up one of those seats now, and if they hold their others, could be an eleven to three congressional map. It's already got a lawsuit against it, and now it's picked up another. This from Will Doran at WRL dot com. Opponents of North Carolina's new congressional districts aka Democrats, filed a new legal challenge that leans on a new interpretation of the US Constitution. So that's always that's always fun when you're just making up stuff. This is a new way of thinking about the Constitution in the hopes of blocking the map from being used in the election. The new districts already face a racial gerrymandering challenge, which was filed the day after the map passed into law. The newest challenge focuses on a new legal theory. The allegation is that state lawmakers, in drawing the new map violated the first Amendment rights of Eastern North Carolina voters. Amendment rights okay. The new complaint made as part of an ongoing lawsuit over racial gerrymandering in the state. Alleges that lawmakers in this newest version of the map retaliated against Eastern North Carolina voters for speech or association or something. It's a First Amendment claim and so they yeah, so that this is somehow retaliation against Eastern North Carolina voters for supporting a black Democrat in the twenty twenty four elections. That claim has no evidence to support it. That claim has no merit, okay none, there's no evidence of that. Republicans have been very clear they drew the district in order to make it more Republican. It didn't matter what race he was. It already was sort of a competitive district anyway. They just made it more likely that a Republican would win. Now. I also would note that this lawsuit is brought by the usual suspects State Chapter of the NAACP Common Cause. It's another organization ACLU, as well as the Southern Coalition for Social Justice. That is the outfit that was started by Anita Earles. Anita Earles was then appointed to the State Supreme Court. When she was appointed to the court, Alison Riggs took over. Alison Riggs also appointed to the State Supreme Court, both by Governor Roy Cooper, my good friend Ray Earls and Riggs, the two Democrats on the State Supreme Court. They will sit and hear a case brought by the organization that they led. I do not expect them to recuse themselves. I also don't think they'll fare very well goes to the State Supreme Court. But we shall see, we shall see. The claim is that Republicans are punishing voters for not supporting the Republican It cites anti voter retaliation as a reason the map should be blocked from being used in twenty twenty six or beyond, calling it a violation of the first fourteenth and fifteenth Amendment. So there you go. So now, if. You are the party in charge, you draw a partisan redistricting map, which you are allowed to do. US Supreme Court ruled on that you're allowed to draw maps based on partisan data. Republicans did that. But now that's going to be deemed as retaliation. This is where we are, a novel approach, a new legal theory that this is now retaliation. Unbelievable. All right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. Here's a little segment we like to call pregaming with Brett Brett Winterble, host of the show The Brett Winterable Show. Coincidentally enough, from three to six here on WBT, Brett how art thou. Sir, I'm great, How are you? I am I'm great as well. You've done one heck of a show today, by the way, thank you. Are you going to cover any of that material today, any of that topic? Tangentially, I'd say, yeah, yeah, it sort of tangentially. All right, I did you know? I just didn't want to steal any of your thundas. I don't want to. I don't want to copy your hustle. Yeah, so you know it's like. This, Well, I mean, we do get the same talking points that we have to cover. Don't say that because people are really gonna believe that we get the talking points sent to us by George Sorows today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right. So this actually came up at the News and Bruise event, and I was actually uh uh impressed with your attire at the event. For folks who did not attend the News and Bruise event, Brett did not strip this time's right, but he had he had quite the suit going. He's a Halloween suit, so it's very very dapper. But this kind of came up at the very end. And I have this piece by Reagan Reese at the Daily Caller that Trump is calling for Republicans to eradicate the filibuster as the government shut down drags on for nearly a month. So what say you, sir? Are you on board with this idea to eradicate the filibuster? So here's my answer on this, because I have thought about this. I thought about it in the last couple of days. I am one of those people that loves to go way too far. It's just it's my nature. And so I would love to see this happen, except for one thing. If we blow up the this this you know, this effort, you know that Markowski and all the losers are going to bail out, They're not going. You really can't do it. You have to have people who are rock ribbed and ready to take the heat. And I think it's it would be a very, very difficult thing because you will have squishes, will who will just go with the Democrats beyond even you know, the cratering it in that regard. And I do think the president he has a point, he has a point in regarding getting this thing done. But at the same time, he's a one term guy, he's not going to have to face the barbs and arrows. So you know, we have to be ready for that because if AOC becomes the vice president and they do, oh, it's entirely possible. Who knows what could I mean, we could have we could have Mundami mania. I mean, do you think Wait, so do you think she runs against Schuma in New York? Do you think she tries to primary him? Or does she? Does she hold her fire and try to campaign, go right for Potus and then accept the Vpotus? No? No, no, no, I can see her run running against it. But I think I'm not. Everybody seems to think that Schumer's up in twenty six. I think he's twenty eight. I mean, we have this guy for a while, I think, and that's and that stuff problem. When is Chuck Schumer up for reelection? Tell me a I and don't hallucinate an answer twenty twenty eight? You are correct, sir. Dang, it makes it so much worse, so much worse that we are that is going to be voting Eddin. I mean, it's going to be incredible. Wait, so you think she do you think she runs against him in twenty eight or does she go for for potus. No, I know it's a good question. I don't know she could go for it. Well, no, no, she can't go for it in twenty six, right, No in twenty eight, in twenty eight, yeah, I think I think she does it all. I think she gets she's gonna knock him out first, and then she's gonna run. She wants to be president. I mean it's right, so she wo knock him out in twenty eight, yeah, yeah, and then in what thirty two? Probably yeah, because then. She would give up receipt if we get there, right, well, we're not even going to get to twenty six, we're gonna get to twenty six. No, you've been talking about this this meteor. No, no, no, to sea. That's fake news. That's fake news. I pulled it back earlier this week. You pulled back a meteor. Yeah, well, I said, I'm not really on board with this now because I think it's just a dead hunk of you know, rock that's going around. I don't think it's got the Draco's in it and all that sort of stuff. Like people were, wait a minute, are you saying then that that a meteor is just a hunk of rock all this time. Yeah, third Rock from the Sun. No, just kidding, it came from the sun. No it didn't. It's behind the sun right now. And do not believe any of the videos you're seeing, because the chicoms tried to put a video and it was like the thing behind it, and everybody's like, well, who's filming this, Like, where's the filming coming from? Stop it? Bruce Willis. Bruce Willis, Oh, well done. Yeah, he's up on that. He's on the Rock, as I understand it. Excuse me, Yeah, well, I mean rock is a happily married man. I don't know that Bruce Willis would be on the Rock. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Okay, all right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
