Doing an end-run around the Electoral College | Hour 2

This episode is sponsored by Revelation Gold Group – Democrat-controlled states have been signing on to an interstate compact to usurp the Electoral College and replace it with a national popular vote for President. Five states are at risk of falling this election to complete Democrat control and are expected to join the compact. This, in turn, would prompt a constitutional crisis in the 2028 presidential election.

Last hour, I was going over this report from the honest elections project. and specifically the end run around the electoral college that is in the works. It's been going on for several years, and it is approaching critical mass now. And we've got five states that are voting on their legislative and gubernatorial races. And if those states go full Democrat trifectas, so in other words, House, Senate, and governor, they are likely to follow the model of Virginia And what we saw in Virginia this year was the signing on to the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. And that would basically render the Electoral College moot. It's an end run around the way we elect presidents as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution. And the purpose is, I think, pretty clear, is to have the most populous states in dominate and dictate to all of the other states who becomes president. That's the purpose. That's what it looks like. Let's jump over to the phones and chat with Marvin. Hello, Marvin. Welcome to the show. Oh, yeah. Hello. Thank you for taking my call. Yes, sir. This is the conversation. I would enjoy you and never agree with you. I do enjoy you. It's like a biased regret from Project 25. The Republican Party had celebrated all the things they were going to do, how they're going to flood the court with two more Trump nominations to get five. On the court. And the court have ruled when it comes to anything, when it comes to voting in the president's face. Not true. That's not true, Marvin. That's not true. What part of the statement? Trump has not won every case that's gone to the U.S. Supreme Court. Anything that does with elections, that's what I said. So how many cases are you talking about? Uh, there's so many. Every time you turn around and turn the general, put them up, uh, take them to the court, lower court, uh, say no to take it to the higher court. So it all depends on what day of the week it is when, uh. So you don't know. No, I do. And you don't know. No, I'm asking for a number of cases that you're referencing. Cause I don't know. Cause you're saying he's won all of the cases. So I'm assuming you have the information to make that assertion. I know 15 different cases. And he's won and Trump, the Trump administration has won every one of those cases. 15. Did I know he had one? What about Mark Elias? I'm sorry. What about Mark Elias? Mark Elias. Okay. What would you like to know about Marcus? Do you know who that is? Yes, sir. I do. Okay. So when he's out there on his Twitter account and doing his live interviews and stuff, and he's talking about the 100, I think he's saying like 170 something cases that he has beaten, um, Republicans in, on election rules and stuff? And he's a Democrat. So, like, he's suing over election rules, and he's claiming all of these victories. So how does that square with your 15 cases? It squares because those cases that he has done, now, I can't speak to all of them because I'm not that fluent on it, but they went directly into stopping Voter turnover. In fact, what my point. What is voter turnover? Voter turnover would say we're going to change all these districts all around the United States right in the middle of the midterm so we can win seats. He hasn't sued only over redistricting. That's what you're talking about is redistricting. Yes, it's ridiculous. He's sued over voter ID laws. He is sued over mail-in ballot laws. He's sued over all sorts of stuff. So it's not just– these are all just like. And you had a point to sue over them. If you are a student at a university and you have been admitted in that university, you obviously had to show some kind of proof of citizenship. Not true. Some kind of proof of something. No, that's not true. You can walk into any university– And say, I'm just a student. You got to take me. You got to put your social security. Wait a minute. You talk to a college grad. No, yeah. No, that's not. But that's not true. You can be you can hang on. Marvin, you can you can be a non-citizen and enroll in college. But you cannot. It's a college without proving who you are. You cannot just go. I don't care if you can prove who you are. I care if I care if whether or not you are a citizen voting. And that's the whole point. You cannot vote. Yes, but, but that's the problem. That's the problem. No, but Marvin, Marvin, that's the problem with using student ID as a, as a, as a identification method in voter ID. Because if I enroll here, just, I'm going to walk, walk you through this. Okay. Just listen. So I'm going to walk through this, right? If I'm a non-citizen and I get admitted into a college and Then I get a student ID. I can then use that student ID and claim a residence on campus at the dorms and I can now register to vote. But I'm not allowed to actually vote. That's the problem. That's the problem with using student IDs as a form of identification. No, you don't. No, you don't. You have to give your address. No, you walk in there. If there's no voter ID, Marvin, if there's. No voter ID, you just walk in, give your name and. Address, and that's it. You cannot go to South Carolina and vote with a North Carolina ID. No more can you be a student from Indiana and vote in North Carolina. If I have a North Carolina college student ID, I can. You cannot. Yeah. You cannot. Do they take student ID? Do they take student ID, Marvin? Marvin, just answer the question. Marvin, just it's a yes or no. Marvin, Marvin, the student IDs, Marvin, if the student. ID does not have a student state address. OK, so then so what you're so what I'm hearing you say, because you won't answer the question. So what I'm hearing you say, then, is that you don't think that a student ID should be an acceptable form of identification to vote. Well, what I'm saying is it's not another yes or no. That is that is my answer. It is not acceptable. And you cannot vote one because when you go to register to vote, you. Don't go to the register of deeds to vote. I'm sorry. The Board of Elections, sir, excuse me, to. Register to vote or however you register to vote. You have to list an address. Yes. And I can list the on campus dorm as my address. You cannot list that address. Yes, you can't. No, you can't. OK, you can't. Now, so what am I to say? So, Marvin, how do you then explain all of the kids that voted at Warren Wilson College up in the Asheville area? OK, if that was the case, why? It was the case. I was up there covering it when it happened. Well, that's fine. Who's in charge of the North Carolina? Back then it was Democrats. I understand. Now you're going to go back then. Okay, so whenever suits you, that's what you go to. Like I said. What do you mean that's what I go to? 2025 voters. I'm giving you. An example of the thing that you said does not happen, and I lived it. What you're doing is trying to make things, as you always do, fit your scenario. Hey, Marvin, the examples I give you fit my scenarios because my opinions are based on those scenarios. I'm not making up scenarios to fit my opinion. My opinion is based off of those things that happened. Well, OK, then you're the smartest human being in the world. I didn't say that either. I most certainly am not. And that's the thing, too. I'm not even the smartest person and I can see this. Well, okay. Well, like I said, that's just a great thing about it. You ain't got but one vote just like we do. So whatever you say, really don't matter because they're already cast. Have a great day. All righty. That's Marvin. I think he was saying something there about Project 2025 at some point, and then he kind of spiraled. I don't know. You okay, Marvin? You all right? I feel like he I feel like he was struggling there. Yeah, so not grappling with the actual issues. He made it about everything other than the thing that we were talking about. And this is sort of the red flag. Whenever you're in a conversation with somebody and they get upset that you've said X, and they. Come in and they're like, you're wrong. You said X. That's wrong. And then you ask, okay, well, what about X? what I said, X, what about it is wrong. And then they start talking about Y and Z and A and B and C and D. And they never talk about X. They want to talk about all these other things. But he started off with something about Project 2025. Yeah. And so you guys saw the project 2025 blueprint that was drawn up by the Heritage Foundation and you were like okay so what there wasn't anything unconstitutional in project 2025 so I'm not sure how that correlates to your plans to do an end run around the Constitutional Electoral College. See the difference? These are not the same. And filling vacancies is not the same as packing a court. I bring this topic up whenever a state makes the news for going along with this idea. And this is yet another example of Democrats attempting to nullify federal law without having to actually change the federal law. OK, they're just going to ignore it. This is what they do. They do it on immigration. Right. When the federal government refuses to enforce federal immigration law under Joe Biden and the state of Texas came along and they said, well, if you won't do it, we will. And the Biden administration sues and says, you don't have any right to do that. And Texas loses. And so what does Texas do? They follow the court. They follow the court ruling. But that is an abdication. And so then you have these states that say, we're not going to cooperate with federal law enforcement on immigration. That's nullification. We're going to obstruct federal agents from doing their job. We're going to prevent federal law enforcement from enforcing law. That's nullification. That's how you create constitutional crises. That's what created the atmosphere, the environment for the Civil War. It was a nullification crisis. That's what Democrats are embarking upon yet again. It's in their DNA as a political party. They just can't help themselves. They just, the heart wants what it wants. They, they, they want to rule, you know, they just want to be in control and they'd have gotten away with it too. If you dastardly Republicans hadn't gotten in the way. So you've got five states that, that if they go full Democrat, and you never go full Democrat, but if they go full Democrat, called the trifecta, which is governor, House, and Senate, you've got Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona, they're all at risk in this election next week. That would allow these states that have already signed on to the compact, that would bring their electoral college vote tally to 267, And then if they pick up a single other state like Wisconsin or Nevada, then they have enough of the 270 to actually force this crisis. And they would force it in 2028. That's what we have to look forward to. These things are on the ballots in those states. You give them this power, they're going to sign on just like Virginia did. As soon as they got the trifecta in Virginia this year, this is one of the first things that they did. This is what they believe in. They do not like the Electoral College because it is I think the last remnant of federalism. They want a national popular vote to determine the presidency. This was explicitly ruled out by the founders in favor of the Electoral College system for a reason. They did this for a reason. They did not want– first off, the small states would not have signed on to the Constitution because they would have no protections that they would be just basically run over by the larger populated states. They would never have signed on to that. They would have just stayed their own state. So in order to get them on board to say, no, we will protect your interests. We will protect your power. We will basically run 50 state elections on the same day. and whoever wins the individual states, they have electoral college votes based on their population, and those votes shall determine the presidency. So you could have a scenario where Virginia votes for a Republican presidential candidate, and they allocate their electoral college votes to the Democrat. Now, if you're a Virginia voter, and you've chosen in your state voted for the Republican, but because of your inclusion in this compact, you have to give up your electoral votes because, you know, a million people voted in California and swung the election to the Democrat at the national level. Now you lose your voice, you lose your vote. That's the deal that they're doing. That's the point. You could say rigged, It's rigging. We do not have a national popular vote for president. And rather than change the Constitution and go through those steps and have to persuade people to go to a national popular vote for president, rather than doing that, they're doing an end run around it. They're going to say we're not going to pay any attention to the constitutional structure of the Electoral College. We're going to go around it. Because it's too hard to change the Constitution. And we don't want to have to persuade people. We would just rather tell them, dictate to them. All right, real quick. Every government number gets revised, right? Every projection gets walked back. There's a link in the podcast description. Or if you want to talk to somebody, you can call 888-465-3049. Let me get to some of your messages. This from Monica. She says this took her a minute, a whole minute to look up. This from the State Board of Elections website. Just in case Marvin is still listening and is curious as to whether or not I was yanking his chain on the student ID and the residence requirements and all of that. For students living on campus, a document from an educational institution with the student's name and on-campus housing address will suffice. Or an educational institution may provide the County Board of Elections a list of students residing in particular campus housing, which will suffice if a student living in campus housing shows a valid student photo ID card. So, yes, you can vote with a student ID. and declare your campus housing as residence. That's how that works. I'm not the smartest person in the world, Marvin. I'm just somebody who has covered this issue for quite a while. Let's see here. I did get a message also from Melissa who said, did you notice that as Marvin was slipping down the fact drain, his response was to insult you? Yes, I did notice that. That's always a sign that you've lost the argument on the merits. Joey from Asheville says, when will the national popular vote crowd get litigated for a slam shut on constitutionality? Well, when they try to invoke it, that's when this is going to be a crisis. And so why I'm bringing this to your attention now, as I have been doing, is because as more and more Democrat-controlled states sign on to this interstate compact, they get closer to the 270 electoral college vote count needed to control the presidential election outcome. And next week, in the November election, we've got five states– And depending on how many of them flip to full Democrat control, you look at what happened in Virginia when they got the trifecta and they immediately joined the interstate compact. So we can assume that those other states will do so as well. They will immediately join the compact and that'll push their numbers depending on how many of the states flip. If it's three, they'll be a little bit short of the 270. If it's four, then they'll have the 270 necessary. Then going into 2028, they will attempt to use the interstate compact. It will then be triggered. It will go live. That will then prompt the constitutional crisis and the litigation, right? Because at that point now, there are damages and parties have standing, right? Right now, they haven't triggered it. They haven't implemented it. So there are no damages. It hasn't had an impact. Once it does, different story. John says, imagine having to do a 50-state recount to determine who won a national popular vote. Yeah. Beth's Favorite Russ says, that popular vote idea is insane. In theory, your state could go 90% for a candidate from one party, but you would hand your electors to the candidate of the other party because other states voted that way. Precisely. Precisely. because Democrats generally win. The national popular vote, which again, I point out is not how we elect the president. Media keeps track of that. They tally those numbers. It has no bearing. There's, there's no legal reason to even know what the national popular vote is. It, it factors, not a wit, not a bit in determining who won the election. It's the electoral college. But thanks to the long march through the institutions and 50 years of K-12 civics non-education, our electorate does not know these things. Our citizens do not understand this. They have been told other things. They believe that the popular vote is what elects the president. And how is it possible that, well, the electoral college is why that's possible. And there's a reason for that. It's called federalism. It's what our system was built on. And it's to protect the smaller populated states from being big-footed by more populated states. And, as I mentioned in the last hour, when those states, Illinois, New York, and California... I did this data the other day. Gosh, it's almost like I do this prep with an understanding that this all kind of ties together. But anyway. I brought to you these stats from the three states about the blue states that got people leaving. California, New York, and Illinois. What happens in the census? Well, they lose seats in Congress. When you lose seats in the House, like North Carolina has 14 House seats. That's based on our population. We have then 16 electoral college votes because you get two per senator. Well, sorry, one per senator, two for the Senate. And then you get however many of your house seats there are. And we have 14. So we have 16 electoral college votes, right? Well, when you lose population, then you lose the congressional seats as California has done in New York state has done. North Carolina has gained those seats. So as you're losing population, you're now going to lose those electoral college seats. That means you are going to lose electoral college votes. But that is based on the census, right? That's how you determine apportionment for those congressional seats. You have to do a census every 10 years. And this is why Democrats want to count Illegal aliens. This is why they don't want illegal aliens cut out of the census count. Because they represent areas that have a lot of illegal aliens in them. That's why you admit them into the country in the first place. That's why you give them all of the programs. You make it a very attractive place for them to live. This way you have a population... that is puffed. Up for the census count. So you can keep as many seats as possible because anybody who can get the hell out of your state is doing so. Okay. This is from Brian. Don't these democratic officials have to swear an oath to uphold and protect the constitution? Seems like they are breaking their oaths. Maybe I'm wrong on this. No, I'd agree with that. I think they are. Michael says, bless Marvin's heart. And Joe says Marvin is the model citizen for the coming Marxist regime and a perfect foot soldier to blindly follow their orders. I weep for the Republic. Uh, Chris wants to know when I argue with ignorant listeners, why do I always bring such good facts? Uh, I don't know. I don't know. It's just, well, I mean, as the smartest person on earth, as Marvin called me, um, I guess it's, it's my, it's my cross to bear. All right. Back to the text line. We go. Walt says, unfortunately, the ultimate goal is absolute power over the U S and all things I lived in. Sorry. I lived and worked in a proletariat, the U S army. It is autocratic. And I believe that is what Democrats would like dominance over the population. I hope it doesn't come to that. Um, I don't know, Kevin. I think I'm picking... Kevin says, I think I'm picking up what you are putting down. Besides losing the House and the Senate, we're also going to lose the electoral college system, all because the selfish independent voters have an issue with things being too expensive. They make up 45% of U.S. voters, those dastardly independents. It's not just... unaffiliated. That's what we're talking about. They're not actually independents. Um, they're, you know, unaffiliated voters, the mushy middle as rush would call them. Right. Yeah. The, the, the moderates, whatever, whatever, like you've got people in there. They, they, they don't understand. They haven't, I mean, they haven't been made aware of this stuff. Um, by design, I would submit, um, let me see Mike from Maryland. Oh, that's a different, okay. That was from Vince's show. Um, Oh, Marvin did call back, I should say. And, um, he apologized and said that he had, he was wrong about the student IDs. And I appreciate that. Marvin, you are free to call back anytime as always. Like I, unless I specifically say somebody's banned from the show, like I welcome the, the, the conversation. You don't have to agree with me. I'm perfectly fine to have a, a debate and discussion about things that we disagree on. That's what makes this country great. So, uh, I appreciate that. And you know, no, nobody's going to know all of this stuff. And I think that's a, it's a good sign. I mean, that's a, that's an honest approach that Marvin took there to call back and say, yeah, okay. The student ID thing I was wrong on. So I appreciate that. Um, okay. I cannot decipher what that one is saying on the text line. Um, Same techniques of questions followed by interruptions while continually changing the subject. I don't know what this, I don't understand the underpants commercial. You could have kept that quote intact and it would have meant the same thing. Yeah. Never go full Democrat. Right. So 267 electoral votes go to Democrats by default. I guess that'll mean no more need for these pesky elections. At least we wouldn't have to endure any more of the make stuff cost less commercials. John says, nullifying the Constitution, we have 50 different elections and every state has different laws regarding elections. Some states have no early voting. Others have three weeks of early voting. California mail-in ballot. To everyone who's ever driven through the state, it seems like. If the Democrats want a national vote, then the first thing would have to be standardizing all 50 states' election rules. Yeah, that's true. He says being electoral college is similar to the World Series. It's not how many points you score, well, runs you score during the entire World Series, but how many of the seven individual games you win. Imagine one team wins the first game 15 to 1, but then loses the next six games by a score of two to one. They only won one game, but they scored 15 points in that one game. So that's enough to win the entire. Series, right? That's a good, uh, comparative I've heard over the years too. Um, Tricia says, why did Democrats think it's fair to get rid of the electoral college? Big cities should not control the country only and drain the other states of their resources. Uh, yeah, well, no, that's, that's exactly why they want to control, the get rid of the electoral college is because they control the big cities and then they get to dictate policy across the board. Because if you ever talk to like communists, the the thing that they always blame for why communism has never been successful is the presence of capitalism outside of the communist utopia. So they need everybody to go communist and then the utopia can be achieved. You see, so you have to just eradicate all of the competitors. All right, that'll do it for this episode.
