The end of the last hour, I started talking about what happened in Chicago over the weekend. We're a mob of leftist activists. Terrorists surrounded ICE agents on two different occasions, all within moments of each other. They blocked them in with their vehicles and rammed the ICE vehicles. ICE then opened fire on one of the vehicles that was doing the ramming, hit a woman. She's now been charged federally. There was another guy he rammed another ICE vehicle. He's been arrested, charged federally. I will circle back the SACKI style to that. But this all goes under this umbrella of rebellion, nullification. I don't know if I'm going to have time to get to the connection here. Well you know what, Yeah, well maybe not if I don't get to it today. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. I had the whole show laid out, and then Congressman Tim Moore dropped by. He was in town, he was in the area, so he dropped by, and so I kind of am shuffling around. So like the stuff I was going to do for October seventh, you know, the attack on Israel by the Hamas terrorists and a lot of gosins, I'm going to push that to tomorrow because actually after the show, I'm going to be recording an interview with doctor Raymond Ibrahim, and there is a connection to the ten to seven attacks. So I'm going to push that to tomorrow. That's just a programming note for you. But there's also this connection with the rebellion that we are seeing now in Portland, in Chicago, in Los Angeles. But the more violent are occurring in the first two of those locations, and this is what was predicted as part of the fourth Turning. And I talked about this topic back in March, and it's come up every now and again as we see more evidence to support this theory and the creators of the theory, Neil Howe being the surviving one of the two, he predicted it that it would This was years ago. He predicted it would be regarding the crisis phase here would be regarding nullification, and that nullification would center around the issue of immigration. Now. At the time he predicted it, it was when Texas was trying to erect a barricade along the river, remember that, And then the Biden administration came in and said tear it down, and Texas said no, and so they went to court and the courts were like, no, they they can tell Texas to take it down. So Texas took it down. In other words, they followed the law. But now that the tables are turned and you have a Republican administration that's enforcing the immigration law. Now you have local jurisdictions that are in rebellion against the federal government trying to nullify federal law. And this is pretty clear cut. And Victor Davis Hanson wrote about this at his website Victor Hanson dot com. And thank you, by the way, Jason, who I pulled this article. He wrote this two days or yeah, yesterday, and I saw it and I bookmarked it on Twitter, and then Jason sent me, hey, you should look at this, and it's like I already found that link. It's a very good piece. It's called reactionary neo Confederate Portland. This is not a new argument, the argument about nullification federal versus state in blue cities across America, he writes Portland, Oregon, especially often violent protesters now seek to surround ICE facilities to stop federal officers from fulfilling their assigned and legal duties of arresting illegal aliens. Some ten million or more illegal aliens were allowed to enter the US during the Biden years illegally and thus without criminal or health background checks. Neither ANTIFA nor liberal Urban America objected to such a flagrant disregard for the law, but both are now as intent on obstructing the legal enforcement of the law as they were earlier in favor of its illegal non enforcement right because they want the open borders, they want the inflow of people. That's the mission, that's the strategy, that's what they want, that's the desire, and so enforcing the law removing these people is antithetical to that mission. Left wing protesters are now swarming ICE headquarters in Portland to violently oppose all deportations. This is, by the way, what Ben Shapiro calls the omni cause, what James Lindsay has quoted is, you know, the issue was never the issue. The issue was always the revolution. This is why the same people that were burning down the you know, police headquarters and such, and were attacking federal court houses during the summer of fiery but mostly peaceful protests and riots, they were the same people like they were opposed to, like these these law enforcement agents and buildings and such, because that was for racial justice. And now lo and behold. Now they're targeting law enforcement agents because immigration. It's like, and they target buildings and people because of Palestine and climate change and just it doesn't really even matter. The purpose is chaos. The issue isn't the issue. That's just a cover story. It's just whatever they need to say at any given moment that gives them, you know, some sort of a facade of a rationalization, a justification for them to act like sociopathic, anti social animals. So why the Democrat Party knows that the public wants both secure borders and deportations of illegal aliens. Indeed, in part, Democrats lost an election because of its open borders advocacy, one of the if not the top issue for Donald Trump. But Democrat officials feel that if street thugs like anti can surround and besiege ICE facilities in Portland, then the deportations will somehow stop. That's the point, right, They want the deportations to stop, and they figure that if it gets too high of a cost, the Feds will pull out. If they can make this too politically costly for the Trump administration, then they'll pull out. They'll just leave Portland to be the sanctuary city that it is. They can declare victory and then the deportation stop. A de facto amnesty would then follow for millions who entered the US illegally and will soon become Democrat constituents. That's the theory. Now, theories can be false, right, can be born out not to be true. So, like, you don't know if this is going to work. And in fact, what we saw over the last election cycle was that this theory of you know, demographics is destiny that the Democrats have been relying on for the better part of twenty years. This idea that if you keep importing new voters into America, they will vote Democrat because the color of their skin, which in my view is kind of a racisty thing to believe that just because somebody has a certain level of pigmentation that they therefore will agree with you on politics. I don't know why it seems racist, but whatever. That's the Democrats, Yes, the party of the Klan. It does endeavor. It doesn't ever let us down there when it comes to viewing everything through a racial prism. So that was their theory. Demographics is destiny. You may have heard this also referred to as the replacement great replacement theory, which again was promulgated by the left. And then when the right noticed and they were like whoa, whoa, whoa, what are you doing? And then they're like, you're racist for thinking that we're doing it. Well, but you said you were doing it racist. That's been the nature of the conversation for the last ten years. So as a result, Democrats do not fully enforce the law when these thugs and Antifah and such attack federal law enforcement. This is a conscious decision by Democrat lawmakers and the massed rioters assault anyone in their way, and they count on exemption from punishment for committing the violence in order to continue doing the violence it is. That's part of the formula. So when I was a kid, my grandpa died with Alzheimer's, and before he died, my mom and my dad took care of him as he got worse. Forty years ago, there were no treatments and not much support for caregivers and family. But things are different today because of the work of so many people, including the Alzheimer's Association of Western Carolina. It's a great organization with awesome people with huge hearts. I've been a supporter for twenty five years. This cause means a lot to me. I participate in the annual Walk to end Alzheimer's and I'm leading a Charlotte team again this year, and it's called once again Pete's Pack. You can sign up and you can join the team and walk with us. It's on October eighteenth that truest field. Sign up at alz dot org slash walk and then you can search for my team name Pete's Pack. There's also a link at thepetepod dot com. There's also a link in the description of this podcast. Also, I'll be am seeing the Gastonia Walk on October eleventh, and so you can make a team and join that one too, or make a donation and help me hit my goal of five thousand dollars. If you do, I really appreciate it. There are a bunch of other walks all over the Carolinas. You can go to alz dot org slash walk for all the dates and locations. We're closer than ever to stopping Alzheimer's. Can you help us get there? Will you walk with me? For a different future, for families, for more time for treatments. This is why we walk. So Victor Davis Hansen writing about what we are seeing unfolding in real time, what he describes as rebellion, and I would agree that is what we are seeing. It is a nullification crisis, which is kind of ironic given that I've been you know, a talk show host now for oh gosh what fifteen years, and the only people that ever talked about nullification were conservatives. They were the only ones that ever talked about it, and they were talking about nullification of federal law that wasn't constitutional. That is not what's happening here. Just like everything else that the radical left touches, it gets twisted and so this is their nullification of law that is constitutional and they just don't want to follow it. That's it much like drug laws, right, same concept, They're just going to nullify it. It's like we're just not going to pay any attention. Okay, well, you know what, if you're not going to allow federal law enforcement to operate in your cities, then you shouldn't get any federal funding period for anything. You're cut off. You want to nullify, There you go. You're on your own, no more money for you. I feel like that's where this is heading, because that's where the Democrats have provided themselves no off ramp here. They keep escalating, and we have heard this. I got a message asking didn't some didn't somebody say that they got to be ready to take a bullet or something? And yes they did. Here it is and on the text line said weren't their supporters told by one of their reps to be willing to take a bullet for the cause. Yes, that's what I mean. They keep ratcheting up this rhetoric, ratcheting it up. And that's what the fourth Turning talked about was that in this nullification crisis, there isn't any off ramp for the state versus the Feds. For these leaders, there's no off ramp for them. They have to keep going because they're asserting authority against each other. Victor Davis Hansen writes that the Rioters count on exemption from punishment for committing the violence, and they this exemption comes through the goodwill or indifference of kindred local and state officials who hate the Trump administration more than they respect the law. That is it the hatred of Trump Trump's respect for law. And I can hear the left already what about what about Trump not respecting the law? So I'm unclear, like which of the laws here? Like Trump keeps getting sued and they keep going to court, and they keep winning the battles. Like we had the stat yesterday's like ninety four percent of these temporary restraining orders, But he keeps following those laws. He keeps following the world. The administration does comply with those rulings when they come down. You know, they happen to be winning ninety four percent of them, which should tell you something about the merits of these lawsuits and the bias of the lower court judges that issue these restraining orders to stop the enforcement of federal law. He goes on to say an Orwellian scenario follows in which federal officials are attacked by Antifa, which in turn counts on the non intervention of local police. And by the way, we just saw this perfect example in Chicago. I mentioned it earlier when they were surrounded, when these ICE agents were surrounded by these leftist antifa types and these leftist violent attackers. When they were when they surrounded the ICE vehicles, ICE called in for Chicago PD assistance. The apparently the patrol commander gave a stand down order to the local cops, like, well, that where are we like that? That seems like a very big deal. You've got law enforcement refusing to assist fellow law enforcement. He in his piece here Hansen is talking about Portland. He says, the city of Portland's armed officers now are in a de facto proxy war with their federal counterparts in our version of something out of eighteen sixty on the eve of a real civil war. America, for almost two hundred years, has already decided informal law and court rulings that no local or state entity can disrupt the enforcement of federal laws or usurped Washington's powers. Right, this is why states couldn't enforce immigration law. The Biden administration sued. When states tried, they sued, saying, you can't do that. That's our law to enforce, even though we don't want to enforce it. That's our law. And they won. And so the Red States couldn't do immigration enforcement. And now the tables are turned and Democrats are engaged in open rebellion. Literally. You know, stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Visit creative video dot Com. Yeah, I kind of feel like history is replace is a repeating itself once again. We have democrats behaving in a violent fashion in order to protect a cheap labor force. You know, it's ah in. It's kind of insurrection y, you might say, they're in Yeah, the city of Portland, in the city of Chicago. I would submit our inopen rebellion. The cities are rebelling against the federal government and its enforcement of immigration law. That's what's happening. I am not a catastrophist. I am not somebody who stirs the pod just to stir the pot and get a reaction. In all of that. I don't need to do that. Reality is enough. I don't have to make up this stuff. But when I see this stuff happening, it becomes very clear that these local jurisdictions and even the governor of Illinois that they have adopted this posture that the radical base in their party is demanding of them, which is to fight Trump harder. I've gone over this data for months now, which is that Democrats are Democrat voters have a very low opinion of their own party and the reason why they say they say is that their party leadership is not fighting Trump hard enough. Congressman Tim Moore was in here earlier and we talked only very briefly about the politics of the government shutdown, and he gave voice to the very thing that I was talking about the other day as well, which is that this is why it's being called the Schumer shutdown, and it does have to do with the immigration or the health care for illegal aliens. That's one of the demands that the Democrats are making. They want funding for health care for illegal aliens, while denying that that's what they want, but they wrote it down in their three demands. So Schumer, though, is being pressured internally by the more radical left wing base, and he is now worried about a challenge in his primary from AOC Alexandria Caz congresswoman from Queens Or the Bronx, where she claimed to be from I forget, it doesn't matter. The point here is that she is the darling now and she is a Democrat Socialist of America, a DSA person, So he has to now fight back against that. And when they did a continuing resolution to fund the government a couple months ago, and Schumer agreed to do that at the time saying that you know, it would be reckless and stupid to shut the government down over this stuff, and he got such blowback that now he's having to stand and fight. That's what Pritzker's doing in Illinois, That's what Brandon Johnson is doing as the mayor of Chicago. That's what Portland is doing, where showing that where fighting hmm, Orange Hitler bad. Meanwhile, you've got ice officers that are being attacked. They're having bounties put out on their lives by car tells. That is happening now, and the cartels are benefiting from these doxing efforts by leftist moonbats. You are fomenting a civil war with your nullification LARPing here people Portland's armed officers, the cops, they're not doing much to stop this stuff, so they're in this proxy wart I mentioned earlier, the Chicago PD. There was a patrol commander. There's records, there's proof of it that when Ice was surrounded by these vehicles that blocked them in, one of the drivers armed, rammed the vehicles, rammed the Ice vehicles, and Ice opened fire on her, shot her, didn't kill her. She's now charged federally. Another vehicle that rammed another ICE agent, he's charged federally. And when Ice and Customs Border Patrol officers when they called nine to one one, when they called in or radioed in, I should say, when they radioed in for assistance from Chicago PED the patrol commander canceled the call, gave a stand down order to help them. What are you doing? Is this what you want? Is thisraelly what you want? Is this where we're gonna go? America for two hundred years, has this precedent? We know from our own violent history. Andrew Jackson in eighteen thirty two threatened to send troops to South Carolina's nullification of federal teriff laws. America fought a civil war over Confederate states efforts to ignore federal law and confiscate or occupy federal property within their state jurisdictions. Fort Sumter anybody. As late as nineteen sixty three, Alabama Governor George Wallace thought that he could nullify federal law by using his state guard to deny black students enrollment in the University of Alabama until the Kennedy administration federalized all state troopers and sent in additional federal troops. And what we are witnessing, according to Victor Davis Hansen, in Portland and elsewhere, is a neo Confederate attempt to supersede federal law and in reactionary fashion, invoke states' rights. That's the argument they're making. They're not making it like that, they're not saying those words, right, But Hanson's exactly right. They're arguing that their state, their city has supremacy over the federal government, that their state has the supremacy, and they should be able to ignore and not what not even just ignore. I mean they were doing that before. Right where did all this start? It started with turning a blind eye to illegal immigrants, Right, That's where it started. Just pretending that it's not happening, then admitting that it's happening, and saying we're a sanctuary place for all these people. Then you amp that up to the protests protesting any kind of enforcement of immigration law. And now we're at the violence stage. It's a near city sanctioned siege of ICE facilities. That's what we are seeing now wherever ICE goes on these targeted efforts. Right, they've been in I think Chicago for a couple of weeks. Now this is what we get. And I mean, I don't know where this ends. It's very disturbing to me. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Victor Davis Hanson concludes this piece pretty lengthy piece. It's at Victor Hanson dot com. Highly encourage you to read the whole thing. He says. In other words, both Antifa and the appeasing Oregon officials are our new neo Confederate secessionists. The left wing logic is to allow the violence in the siege to continue in a safe space for Antifa. Democrats are all fine with this. They think the violence against Ice will be portrayed daily as general chaos by their allies in the media, which they have. Thus, the proverbial people who keep clear of the siege and its detritus will simply want all the bother to just go away, and supposedly blame those enforcing the law, not the ones breaking it. In some the Democrat Party is the official face of the left, Antifa provides the street shock troops, and the media serves as its propaganda arm. Oregon officials now feel their state their states as well as in Oregon as well as in Illinois. These neo Confederate secessionists. They feel their states are now autonomous entities that are still entitled to federal money, but not obligated to follow federal laws. Portland also reminds us of the utter incompetence and incoherence of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. On the one hand, she pleads for federal dollars to restore her city's burned out neighborhoods due to her own incompetence and neglect, while on the other hand, actively obstructs the federal government from enforcing immigration laws in her own city. For a party so quick to shout insurrection, it is ironic that democrats, and they're useful though violent Antifa insurrectionists are in rebellion against the federal government and its agents, and I completely agree. I don't know another word for what I'm seeing in Chicago. The attack on the ICE agents by the way, that sent ICE agents to the hospital. These attacks with the vehicles that rammed into ICE agents in their vehicles and blocked them in such several of their agents were sent to the hospital with various injuries. US Homeland Security Christy Nome has deployed special operations teams to restore law and order because the local police won't do it. See, this is the permission structure. I talk a lot about permission structures. This is the structure that Democrats have created for this kind of behavior. I mentioned that there was a standdown order. The president of the Illinois State Fraternal Order of Police, Chris Southwood, issued a statement saying the number one unwritten rule in law enforcement is that we respond to any calls from officers in distress. What would have happened if the local police were facing threats and nearby federal officers were told not to assist them. Whether you agree about immigration enforcement or not, when a law enforcement officer is in trouble. Nothing should stand in the way of fellow officers rendering assistance. So now the question for me is who ordered that directive? Who's this patrol commander? Was there something from above him, some directive above him, or was he on his own on this the situation This is according to Elizabeth Stauffer at Legal Insurrection, the situation is rapidly reaching a fever pitch. A nation in which state officials openly defy federal law, as the Confederate States did in the lead up to the Civil War cannot long survive as a United Republic. Who is benefiting from this cartels like the Latin Kings. The Department of Homeland Security announced the arrest of a criminal, illegal alien and Latin King's Gang member who placed a bounty on the commander at large of the US Border Patrol, Chief Gregory Bovino. On October third, a confidential source provided information indicating that a hit had been placed on Chief Bovino by a member of the Latin King Street gang. Raation and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations or HSI identify the individual who put the hit out as Juan Espinoza Martinez and they arrested him yesterday in burr Ridge, Illinois. HSI Chicago received a screenshot of the Snapchat conversation from a user named Juan, where he appeared to place a two thousand dollars bounty for information, saying kwondo lo agarin, which translates to when they catch him, and a ten thousand dollar reward if you take him down. A third response was LK dot dot dot on him LK meaning Latin kings. The DOJ is prosecuting him with soliciting the murder of a senior law enforcement official. Don't know when this guy got into the country. DHS says he is from Mexico, but they don't know he entered America on an unknown date and time. See so, when you are creating this chaos leftists, democrats, when you are creating this chaos that these ICE agents have to work within, you are making them unsafe, when you are creating smartphone apps to dox them and locate them, and you're sharing pictures of them and home addresses of the agents and their families. When you're engaging in this behavior, don't tell me you don't understand what it is that you are doing. I understand what you're doing, maybe because I've been in this position for a while as a host for a long time, and people dos me even though my information is available right, people threaten me. I know exactly the game that you are playing with these ice agents. Wll won't you take your mask off? Yeah, so you can dock them and have somebody in a cartel go put a hit out on them. I know what you're doing, all right. That'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
