A Democratic judge in Gaston County was caught on video tape stealing yard signs that called him a "Proud Democrat." NC Governor Roy Cooper appointed Jesse Caldwell IV to fill unexpired term of his father, who retired from the bench after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 72. Caldwell told the local paper he was "proudly running as a Democrat." But Jonathan Fletcher, the Chairman of the Gaston GOP, said Caldwell was campaigning as a conservative. So, the GOP made the signs. And then caught Caldwell on camera stealing them.
