A systematic review of 12 studies found no meaningful evidence that youth curfews reduce crime or victimization. A curfew may disperse one gathering, but it could simply push young people into different and potentially less safe locations for their teen takeovers. Perhaps in the woods, in the forest, places where we will have no idea where they're at.
