[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so we have had what, just almost 24 hours. It broke while we were in the middle of the show yesterday. By the way, Pete will be back on Monday. So we get two more days together, then Pete comes back. He's been very gracious. We've been tweeting back and forth at each other.

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So, now, I've had 24 hours roughly to process this. And my initial reaction is still pretty close to what it was yesterday when it broke in the middle of the show or towards the end of the show. I can't remember exactly what time it was. It was, it was, Trump, what are you doing? Why are you shooting yourself in the foot? And what, I mean, it's so unnecessary.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And I know that the question, and that's the other part of this. I have had a time to really think and analyze and listen to this opening question. This woman at ABC News is a disaster. She is a, she is a Democrat Party activist or she's just an activist.

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_06]: She is not a journalist. Because when I play this for you, it's like 50 seconds of attacking him. And if you're interviewing, you know who's perfect, a perfect example of this? Harrison Faulkner.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_06]: She was one of the three NABJ members and journalists that were on that stage that actually was fantastic.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_06]: She asked questions. She didn't kiss his rump. And she asked challenging questions to which she says he really didn't give me a good answer on whether or not, she said he dodged it.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_06]: She didn't say it to his face, but in interviews afterward, this morning, last night on Fox, when she asked, is your VP, J.D. Vance, ready on day one?

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's how you are a journalist. You can ask us tough questions and everything.

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_06]: But this woman opened up with like five attacks saying he's basically saying he's a racist, like overtly.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's disgusting because you are never to tell people what to think as a journalist.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_06]: If you want that, that's fine. You're in the wrong business. Go to public relations for a leftist group.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Go work for the Democrat Party. It doesn't matter. Anything.

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_06]: But this woman lies when she says she's a journalist.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_06]: She is not. That does not excuse Trump's behavior. I will not excuse it.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_06]: It's inexcusable. It was so stupid.

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_06]: He literally said he took a gun and he grabbed a gun off some Secret Service member's belt around the corner and put it.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_06]: And he said, hold on one second, man, after you ask that disgusting question, let me shoot myself in the foot real fast.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_06]: And everybody's like, and he's like, no, no, OK, go ahead. Go ahead.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Let me answer now. You know what I mean?

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what he did. And I'm going to play the question.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And then I just want to make sure you really I know you've heard it most likely, but I want you to get the flavor.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_06]: This woman did he they were 35 minutes late, not 25, as he said, they were 35 minutes late in starting.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_06]: And so he does not get sit there for another 35 minutes beyond the he gave them an hour on stage.

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_06]: So he only had 25, 30 minutes.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_06]: And she starts it like that after making him wait 35 minutes.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_06]: He's the former president and the one of two people are going to win the presidency in six months.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_06]: This is this is obscene for months.

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_06]: This is obscene.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_06]: But he controls his response.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_06]: And it was horrendous.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_06]: And one of my buddies wrote a column about this and said.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_06]: My friend, Eric Erickson, he said.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_06]: The black community.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_06]: He's a talk host in Atlanta.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_06]: And he says the black community is is is talking about it on my show.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_06]: They're calling in or my friends who are African-American tell us.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_06]: And he says they're already debating about, well, is she really black or not, which is their thing to do.

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_06]: But this is not and I'm not saying that you are doing that.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_06]: That's not me.

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm telling you what my friend's experience has been.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_06]: That is and I did have one caller on my regular show who's black from Dallas who did call in and say that she literally.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_06]: She literally said that she's not black.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, well, OK, but that's her take.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_06]: She's black.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm not saying that.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_06]: But but people are having that discussion.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_06]: Let people who are black have that discussion.

[00:04:45] [SPEAKER_06]: Let them come to their own decisions and embrace or not embrace her.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_06]: That's that's their business, not Trump's.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_06]: He literally should never have said that to make of the black thing or the anything that that's so horrendous.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_06]: And unnecessary.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_06]: And nobody's talking about the issues which she is hiding.

[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And she's a disaster because we win on all the issues.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_06]: The woman has no character.

[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_06]: She's literally reversed every position like six of them in the past 48 hours.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_06]: And she doesn't say it publicly.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Her people say it behind the scenes anonymously to the media.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_06]: This is insane.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_06]: This woman can't win anything.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_06]: She got no votes.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_06]: She got 0.0 in the polls in South Carolina, a heavily African-American state, as you know.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_06]: And she literally dropped out without one vote.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Nobody voted for her for president in the primary.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_06]: She's never had a vote for president.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Here's the question.

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Listen closely.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I want to start by addressing the elephant in the room, sir.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people did not think it was appropriate for you to be here today.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_01]: You have pushed false claims about some of your rivals, from Nikki Haley to former President Barack Obama,

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: saying that they were not born in the United States, which is not true.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: You have told four congressmen women of color, who were American citizens, to go back to where they came from.

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_01]: You have used words like animal and rabbit to describe black district attorneys.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_01]: You've attacked black journalists, calling them a loser, saying the questions that they ask are, quote, stupid and racist.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_01]: You've had dinner with a white supremacist at your Mar-a-Lago resort.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: So my question, sir, now that you are asking black supporters to vote for you, why should black voters trust you after you have used language like that?

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, first of all, I don't think I've ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner, a first question.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_07]: You don't even say, hello, how are you?

[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Are you with ABC?

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_07]: Because I think they're a fake news network, a terrible network.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_07]: And I think it's disgraceful that I came here in good spirit.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_07]: I love the black population of this country.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_07]: I've done so much for the black population of this country, including employment, including...

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_06]: We'll stop right there.

[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_06]: The point here is she is not a journalist.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you call her one, you're wrong.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_06]: You're either lying or you're ignorant.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not a journalist.

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_06]: If any talk host tells you they're a journalist, they're a fool.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_06]: We're not.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_06]: We are paid to entertain, inform, and give you our opinions.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_06]: That's what we are.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_06]: We're not journalists.

[00:07:22] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you want to be called one, get off the radio as my opinion, as a talk host.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Now, if you do like news...

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_06]: If you host news hours or an unopinionated show because you don't want to...

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_06]: That's different.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_06]: But I'm just saying 99% of the talk show hosts really either a host or like a news wheel host or something of that nature.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_06]: But, for example, during the day in Fox News, Martha McCallum is...

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_06]: She rarely ever hints her opinion.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_06]: She hints it occasionally, but she's a journalist.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_06]: Everybody during the day is at night they're not.

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Harris Faulkner, for example, is...

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_06]: She's amazing.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_06]: She really is.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_06]: She rarely ever gets into her opinion, and she is fantastic.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, she said, which is...

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_06]: She said, well, you said this and this, and which is not true.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_06]: That's not journalism.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_06]: You just asked the question.

[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And you say that...

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Or you got to quote...

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Somebody says it's not true.

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_06]: You don't say...

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_06]: She didn't say...

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_06]: You got to say which critics say is not true.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_06]: You can't say which is not true directly.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_06]: That's you having an opinion.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_06]: She said calling black DAs or whatever animal...

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_06]: He calls everybody animals that he disagrees with, like, out there, not just black people.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's BS.

[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And then black DAs, etc.

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_06]: He criticized Larry Krasner, for example, and all the woke DAs.

[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_06]: So anyways, we all know that.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_06]: But nonetheless, I want to ask you two, three quick questions.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_06]: How unprofessional was the ABC reporter that I just played for you in her treatment of Trump?

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_06]: First question out of the box.

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_06]: How bad was Trump's response to her and his racial comments about Kamala?

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you're black...

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_06]: This is really important.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_06]: If you're black, how did it make you feel to hear these comments that Trump said about the she's not black or she's Indian or whatever?

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Some of this stuff is so freaking hysterical.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_06]: But most of it's not going to help him.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_06]: It's going to hurt him.

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_06]: And if Trump keeps doing this, he's going to lose.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_06]: And also he could hurt our chances in the House and the Senate, which could allow the Democrats to come in and do everything Kamala and Barack Obama want to do to turn this place upside down.

[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Take away your health care.

[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Take away your guns.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Give illegals citizenship.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Never keep them as criminals.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_06]: Instead, change it to a little civil thing.

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_06]: This is very serious.

[00:09:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And he can easily win this, but he's not right now.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_06]: J.D. Vance said that Trump's comments on whether Kamala is black were hysterical and said the media is overreacting.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_06]: Dude, why are you doubling down on this?

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay, here's my questions for you.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_06]: This is Chris Kroc, by the way, on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT in for Pete Callender on the Pete Callender show.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_06]: He'll be back Monday.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_06]: How unprofessional was that ABC News reporter in her treatment of Trump?

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_06]: How bad was Trump's response to her and his racial comments about Kamala?

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you're black, how did it make you feel to hear those comments, and how has it affected your vote?

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Robert, you are on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris in for Pete.

[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Hello.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I watched that yesterday.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_08]: And I think that – I think Trump is going to lose, and I think he's going to lose not because his politics are wrong.

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_08]: His politics are dead on, but he can't get out of his own way.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_08]: All they've got to do is attack him a little bit, and he gets off point.

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_08]: He doesn't talk about why socialism is bad for the country, why progressivism is bad for the country.

[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_08]: He doesn't have to mention anyone's name.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Just talk about those ideologies over and over and over again and how it hurts the working people in this country.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_08]: But he can't do it because all you've got to do is poke him a little bit, and he just starts crying about stuff and talking about, you know, he's the best in this and the worst in that.

[00:11:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And no one's ever been better than him.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_08]: And then it's just that Donald Trump –

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_06]: It was hysterical to hear him saying better than Abraham since Abraham Lincoln.

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, it's funny.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_06]: It's comical.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_06]: But I think that some of the things that are really off-putting are the racial thing.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's like – so he has literally shot himself in the foot.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Kamala has reversed on so many things now, and she hasn't had to say it publicly.

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_06]: Nobody's questioning her about it.

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_06]: She won't talk to the media, like have a question in the Q&A with them.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Won't do an interview sitting down.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Like when she does, it's a disaster.

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_06]: But she is hiding like Biden in the basement and doing rallies and stuff, but she's not being questioned about her record.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_06]: She flipped on – she supports reparations.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants illegals to be protected from deportation.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants Medicare for all.

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to ban private health insurance.

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants taxpayer coverage for illegals.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to ban fracking – oh, okay, he's gone.

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Defund the police.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to ban fracking, defund the police, compare ICE to the KKK, wants to ban plastic straws, a ban offshore drilling, undo the Trump administration's border security, decriminalize illegal border crossings.

[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_06]: She won't treat illegals as criminals.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to start ICE from scratch and destroy it.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants – when she did the Minnesota Freedom Fund, she got it up to $46 million from promoting it, and she let out two people who killed – one man who shot and killed a woman five times on a train and another one who murdered a woman and another who raped a woman.

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Those are just some of the worst that she set free.

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_06]: The head of that program said, we don't even look at what the crime is.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_06]: We're just getting them out.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_06]: That literally is what he said.

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I've played it on the show, on my show before.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_06]: It's out there everywhere.

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_06]: She also championed Bidenomics, which got us here.

[00:12:54] [SPEAKER_06]: And she also supported and co-sponsored the Green New Deal bill, which would guarantee anybody who wants a job, taxpayer dollars will pay anyone who wants to work for the federal government.

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_06]: Going back to the New Deal from the far left that came out in the 30s.

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_06]: So, I mean, this is a – she said, you're right, I'm radical.

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_06]: That's why she was more liberal than Bernie Sanders in 2019 and only outflanked the next year in 2020 by him for being the most liberal in the Senate for those two years.

[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Questioning her race.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_04]: How does that – does that increase or decrease your party's chances of winning in November?

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, Caitlin, you haven't had that conversation with Kamala Harris because she's been hiding out the last few days.

[00:13:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I want to have this conversation with you, Senator.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Just like Joe Biden hid out before her.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: And my point is, when are you and the rest of the media going to demand that Kamala Harris come out and answer questions in an unscripted format about where she stands for this country,

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00]: as opposed to continuing to focus on what Donald Trump said today?

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, four years ago, Joe Biden said, if you don't vote for him, you ain't black.

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Could you imagine a more insulting comment?

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Joe Biden is presuming to judge the political views of one-eighth of our fellow citizens based on their skin color.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Did you ever ask Kamala Harris to condemn his remarks?

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: There are 33 –

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Did you ever ask him or ask her if that was racist?

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Senator, this is a question.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You're a Republican senator, so I would ask you about the Republicans because they're Republican on me.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Caitlyn, did you ask Kamala Harris –

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Caitlyn, did you ask Kamala Harris why she's willing to serve as vice president for a man she essentially called racist and a segregationist?

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Have you or anyone else in the media asked Kamala Harris those questions, Caitlyn?

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_06]: I love this.

[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Tom Cotton's amazing.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_06]: He's so dignified and calm and direct.

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_06]: He's an awesome guy.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_06]: But Trump stuck his foot in his mouth yesterday, something fierce, as I like to say from time to time.

[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's not a good look, and it was totally unnecessary.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_06]: Kamala is a sitting duck regarding her policies.

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_06]: It's a joke.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_06]: She's reversing everything within days without saying it, not even being asked about it, not saying it herself.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Her spokespeople are anonymously doing it with the news.

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Every day they're saying, oh, she changed that one.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_06]: She changed that one.

[00:15:07] [SPEAKER_06]: She has no character.

[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_06]: And Trump's doing this, and that's the story.

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's what she wants, and that's what the media wants because she will lose this election if it's on the issues.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_06]: But that reporter was so deeply unprofessional.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I played you the soundbite a little earlier.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Not Caitlyn Collins right there, but the ABC reporter who opened up with accusations attacking him instead of saying welcome and then asking tough questions.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_06]: And I did not hear the other two journalists up there, Harris Faulkner and the other lady up there with the NABJ.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_06]: I didn't hear any questions.

[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_06]: I think there may have been one with the lady in the middle, but Harris on the far right there.

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_06]: There's nothing from them that is like that crazy.

[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_06]: These people are so nasty.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_06]: But Trump has the control of how he responds, and he did not respond well at all.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_06]: How bad was Trump's response to her and his racial comments about Kamala?

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that was a disaster.

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you're black, how did it make you feel to hear those comments from Trump, and how has it affected your vote?

[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_06]: All right, our number is 704-570-1110.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris Kroc in for Pete Callender on the Pete Callender Show on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's go to Melinda.

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Melinda, you are on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Trump going to this, if he wants a black vote, then yeah, he needs to go where the black people are and get black exposure.

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_03]: He needs to be able to handle critical questions that are arising in the black community.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I am surprised that the Central Park Five wasn't brought up.

[00:16:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I, myself, as a black woman, I am highly offended that Trump went to such means with that and never apologized for that.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_03]: I just look at his past.

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_03]: How he did yesterday, it's just, that's Trump.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's look at what he called the asshole country when he was in office.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I knew he wasn't going to pick Tim Scott as a running mate.

[00:17:15] [SPEAKER_03]: This does not surprise me.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_06]: But if he would have picked Tim Scott, if he would have picked Tim Scott, would you have voted for him or considered voting for him?

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe, maybe, maybe.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And I think he should have picked, I think he should have picked Tim Scott too.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_06]: What did he say about the Central Park Five?

[00:17:35] [SPEAKER_03]: He took out that full-page ad saying that they were guilty and deserved to be punished.

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, yeah, because some people say death penalty.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_06]: No, he did not say death penalty.

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_06]: That's false.

[00:17:47] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's where you've got to be careful.

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_06]: But the other thing is on the asshole country, I don't think, I think that's like, he was called the guys who died in the military fighting for us, the heroes, suckers and losers.

[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a total lie.

[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_06]: So you know how bad the media has it out for him.

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_06]: And that reporter was way off base and extremely rude.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_06]: She had an agenda and she was not a reporter and not a journalist there.

[00:18:10] [SPEAKER_06]: She was an activist and that's wrong.

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm not excusing him, but she was a disaster.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that question was way off base and ridiculous.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Can I ask this real quick, though?

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, is it a lie when him and his father back in the 70s or whatever would put a C on applicants that were wanting to rent out apartments that were black or whatever on their applications?

[00:18:37] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, but I know there's a lot of rumors out there.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_06]: Let me just say this, though.

[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_06]: So Kamala, for example, she wants to force you to go on government health care.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to make illegals legal.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to give illegals health care.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to forcibly take away your guns if you have any.

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_06]: If you're a law-abiding citizen like I am and I have guns, force you and then I will pay you, though, for it.

[00:18:59] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to abolish.

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to abolish.

[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no, I know, but you're talking about Trump and I'm talking about Kamala.

[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_06]: She wants to abolish ICE.

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_06]: So, I mean, there's a lot of issues with both of these candidates, but I do appreciate your call.

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, by the way, how did it make you feel as a black woman?

[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_06]: How did it make you feel when Trump said that about the Kamala's not black or whatever?

[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_06]: She's Asian.

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_06]: How did it make you feel?

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Last question.

[00:19:20] Typical Trump.

[00:19:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Typical Trump.

[00:19:22] [SPEAKER_03]: He flip-flops and just says, well, right now I'm starting to believe he is just throwing stuff out there.

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't even believe, I think, half the time.

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Just whatever.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just whatever with him.

[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't surprise me.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you very much.

[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Trump, how unprofessional was the ABC News reporter in her treatment of Trump?

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_06]: How bad was Trump's response to her and his racial comments about Kamala?

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_06]: And if you're black, how did it make you feel to hear those comments?

[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_06]: How has it affected your vote?

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_06]: I think it's really hurt Trump, but it's not going to last.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_06]: He's got to freaking stop this and define her.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_06]: She's already defining Vance and they're not defining her and that's seriously bad.

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_06]: But thankfully we still have 90 some odd days, but this cannot be happening anymore or he will lose.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_06]: And that's just a terrible thought to think about, but it's there.

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Malik, thank you for calling in.

[00:20:12] [SPEAKER_06]: You're on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris in for Pete.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Hey.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_09]: How are you doing today, man?

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Good.

[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.

[00:20:20] [SPEAKER_09]: I didn't deter my vote, man.

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it is what it is.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you know, 75.

[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Can you hear me, sir?

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no.

[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, there you go.

[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Your phone clipped out for a little while there.

[00:20:35] [SPEAKER_06]: So you said it is what it is.

[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_06]: 75 and then you cut out.

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_06]: Go ahead.

[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_09]: 75% of his voters does not like black people.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_09]: Put it like that.

[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_09]: And I'm convinced.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_09]: I really am, man.

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_09]: And you can't tell me they're not.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, listen, you're looking at like 70 plus million people.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So you literally think, I don't know what the math is on 75% of 70 some million people.

[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_06]: But how did Barack Obama get elected?

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that's insane, dude.

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_09]: Because, I mean, no president runs the country.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_09]: That's one thing you got to know.

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_09]: No president runs the country.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_09]: It's someone else.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_06]: The racial comment, though, on people don't like them.

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_06]: That's a little offensive because I know so many people.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_09]: It's the truth.

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_06]: What do you base that on?

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_06]: What do you base that on?

[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_06]: Can you cite your source?

[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm from Charlotte.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm 40 plus years old.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_09]: I remember the Kuga clan marched downtown.

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_09]: Where?

[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Quick question.

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_06]: Where do you get your evidence that 75% of Trump supporters are racist?

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_09]: From society.

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_06]: From society.

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_06]: From anecdotal things.

[00:21:46] [SPEAKER_09]: From society.

[00:21:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Well, what do you mean society?

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_06]: You're anecdotal?

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_09]: From rhetoric.

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_09]: From the rhetoric and the society of what they talk.

[00:21:55] [SPEAKER_06]: So you're saying it's just not possible to vote for him unless you despise or hate or dislike black people?

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_09]: I hate Trump.

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't care about him, but I don't hate him.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_09]: But I know he doesn't.

[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no.

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_06]: You're saying you misheard me, I think.

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_06]: You misheard me.

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_06]: You said, so you're saying though that 75% of people can vote for him despite…

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, because…

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_06]: It just doesn't make sense.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, because…

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_06]: But you don't have a source on that.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_06]: It's just anecdotal.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't need a source.

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_09]: Are you…

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_09]: Do you live in America?

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_06]: Of course…

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_06]: No, no.

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_06]: I live in Zimbabwe.

[00:22:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Of course I live in America.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Listen…

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_09]: So you don't see it or you're one of those 75%.

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm either a racist or I agree with you.

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Is that what you're saying?

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you don't have to agree with me.

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm just telling you what I believe.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_06]: And so if I don't agree with you, am I one of the 75%ers?

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_09]: Not really, but you got it in you.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_09]: Is this having…

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you know that…

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_09]: If Trump wins, he's going to bring it all out.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you know that you have it in you too?

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_06]: No, he's going to bring it all out.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you know that you have it in you too?

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_09]: The NBA riots is going to be all this.

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_09]: Watch.

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm telling you, man.

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, we had four years in the…

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't care who wins.

[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm going to survive anyway.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_06]: Do you know that you've got it in you too?

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to survive.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to survive.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_06]: Hello?

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_06]: You know that you've got it in you too?

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Like we all have issues and hatred in our hearts.

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_06]: You know that, right?

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't have no hatred in my heart.

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_09]: I love this.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, you do.

[00:23:22] [SPEAKER_09]: You can't tell me what I got in my heart.

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_09]: You don't have to.

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_06]: So you're perfect.

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_06]: In your heart, you've never had hatred towards anybody.

[00:23:37] [SPEAKER_09]: I've had hatred towards myself.

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_06]: You need to apply to be God because you're perfect.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate your call, my friend.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate your call.

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_06]: Let's go to Clyde.

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_06]: Clyde, can you imagine if I did a show filling in for Pete based on anecdotal evidence the whole time?

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Clyde, you are on News Talk 1110-993-WBT.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Steve, Kristen for Pete.

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_10]: Hey, how you doing, man?

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_10]: Good, sir.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_10]: How are you?

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_10]: I don't know what your previous call was smoking, but whatever it was, he needs to put it out and stall all over.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_10]: That's an insane comment about 75% of people like that.

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_10]: I'm a Trump supporter, and I'll tell you one thing.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_06]: Are you one of the 75%, sir?

[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Are you one of the – I'm detecting something through the phone here.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Go ahead.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Go ahead.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, I'm one of the 75% that pulls for Trump, and I have more black friends than I do white friends.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_10]: Let's put it that way.

[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_06]: They'll mock you.

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, you got one of those friends, don't you?

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_06]: But it's okay.

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_06]: We know how that works with some folks.

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_06]: Anyways, but go ahead with your point.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_10]: Trump was exactly right.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_10]: That woman was rude, crude, and unattractive, as a college professor once told me, and she is as much a journalist as I am.

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_10]: And he was exactly right to go back on her like he did.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_10]: She's the one that brought up the word black and Kamala, and Kamala claimed to be of Indian descent for several years.

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_10]: Now, all of a sudden, she's just changing her tune, and that's all Trump brought up.

[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_10]: He didn't make any derogatory comments about her.

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_10]: He didn't rag on her.

[00:25:09] [SPEAKER_10]: He just said she's changed her tune.

[00:25:11] [SPEAKER_10]: I disagree.

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_10]: He didn't know what it was.

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I disagree on the racial thing.

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_06]: She went to Howard, a black university, HBCU, and she also was in a black sorority.

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_06]: So that's in college, dude.

[00:25:21] [SPEAKER_06]: So I just – I think it's a – do you agree that it was a bad move for him to get into that?

[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_06]: It was totally unnecessary if she didn't ask that question.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_10]: I don't think it was a bad move.

[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_10]: She's the one that brought up that subject, and he's answering the question,

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_10]: and that subject needs to be brought up.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_06]: See, no, it doesn't.

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_06]: I think – here's the thing.

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_06]: I think that you're one of the – and I am too, by the way, so don't hear what I'm not saying.

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_06]: You are one of the 48 percent of people who are voting for Trump no matter what, and I am too.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_06]: But we can't win if we do these things because it's not about you and me.

[00:25:57] [SPEAKER_06]: It's about the rest who are going to vote one way or the other, and that's how we lose.

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_06]: I do appreciate your call, Clyde.

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate your call, sir.

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_06]: David.

[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_06]: David, you are on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris Crockett for Pete Callender on the show here.

[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Hello.

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_11]: Hey.

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_11]: First, I got to address the call a couple calls back to 75 percent of Trump voters are racist, more or less.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_11]: I'm going to be honest with you, man.

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_11]: The comment, it literally – it breaks my heart because, man, if you're listening right now, let me talk to you directly.

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_11]: I know a lot of hardcore conservatives in my whole life, and I've never heard racist comments from them.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_11]: But some of the people I know in my own family and people I know who are elite liberals, the content they have for black people, like they don't think they're capable of running their own lives.

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_11]: They look at them like little children.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_11]: They have said things that, like, just made my skin crawl, things I've never heard from my conservative people I know.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_11]: So, man, you know, I love them.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_06]: I've heard racist vitriol from some people that I know or that I am, you know, casual friends with, you know.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_06]: But I've also – I have several people – I mean, look, I go to one of the largest evangelical churches or whatever, Baptist churches, Southern Baptist.

[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And I cannot tell you the beauty of that because there are so many black people in my church that are, like, insane for Trump, wildly for Trump.

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_06]: One of my closest friends is from Peru, he and his wife, and he's like – I didn't know his politics because he was in my Sunday school class and became a real good friend.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's like, Trump, Chris, Trump is the only way.

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's a mechanic, and he has all these Hispanic people that he services in the Hispanic community.

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_06]: He's also my mechanic.

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_06]: And he's like, I am telling them all the time.

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_06]: They go, why would you vote for Trump?

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_06]: Is he so funny?

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_06]: I appreciate your call, sir.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_06]: Kim, you are – I think we have time for you.

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_06]: Kim, we have at least a minute here.

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_06]: Kim, you are on News Talk 1110 and 993 WBT.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_06]: Chris, in for Pete.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I just want to address I am a black woman, okay?

[00:28:12] [SPEAKER_02]: And I don't think – you know what's refreshing about Trump is that he's real.

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_06]: Yes.

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, there are a lot of us black people who thank Trump for being real, okay?

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_02]: We're so sick of the Democratic Party pawning us off as if we are, like, stepchildren.

[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't mean that about stepchildren, but you know –

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I know.

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_06]: We are.

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But, yes, and as far as his comments to that reporter, she was rude.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he could have, you know, been a little bit more calm about what he said, but it's true.

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_02]: She did – they did publish her as the first Asian AG and all this and that or whatever.

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_02]: But the fact of the matter is color does not matter.

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_02]: We are not – as far as me and my family, we are not voting for Trump because we're black.

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, we're voting because of his policy.

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the economic policy that he has and taking the abortion back to the states, let the states decide.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why people are all up in the uproar about, you know – and they pose it as just women's health care.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not women's health care.

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's murder.

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_06]: It's killing, yeah.

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_02]: It's killing babies.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_02]: So, there are a lot of black people who are not like those who are at Kamala's concert.

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, that'll do it for this episode.

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Thank you so much for listening.
