So before we were kind of talking not so much about Democrats and Republicans, but about the TDS, the Trump Derangement syndrome, and the MAGA faithful and where those groups really came from and what they really stand for nowadays. And I said, and I mentioned it, and we'll probably talk about it at some point during the program. I'm not gonna limit not going to go too far into it. One of the most serious landmndes that the Trump administration is stepping into, I think inadvertently. I don't know, I don't know that it's on purpose. But Pam Bondi, the Attorney General, has made she cash battel everyone. In fact, cash Bateel has a little more political coverage than Pam Bondi does. But Cash just said, hey. We're going to release all these files. We're going to release the Martin. Luther King stuff, the RFK files, you know, JFK files, and the Epstein situation, and Pam Bondi, you know, literally showed the media here's the file. I got to go through it, but we're releasing it here. It is now. The names that Roger Stone's. Been out there on social media saying, hey, this was released back in twenty sixteen or whatever. All the names were released, but it doesn't matter. She made a big deal about this. And then yesterday, I think it was yesterday. Yesterday's Monday, Yeah, so yesterday that they came out or over the weekend and said there's nothing to see here. There's really nothing to see you know. Wait, Epstein killed himself, Julane Maxwell's in prison. Clearly there's more here than not, but they're acting like there's nothing to see here. And Trump was just asked about about sixteen minutes ago, you know, someone asked them about the Epstein cause, Ham Bondi and Marco Rubier were sitting next to him and he was asked about it, and he said, are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein. This guy's been talked about for years. I can't believe you're asking a question about Epstein. Well, that's not going to go away. That's a that's a serious issue for a lot of folks. That's a regular corn ucopia of who's who in American politics and entertainment were in and around these two individuals, Elainne Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. So the American public, you know, just it's one of those things like it's hard to compute that Lee Harvey Oswell could have acted alone and taken out the world's most powerful leader, you know, with a shot from a couple of shots from a book depository window. It's it's hard to think that the world is that fragile that something could happen of that political magnitude. And so it's hard to believe that after all these years, that there's no there there beyond what happened. That Epstein and Maxwell went to jail for what they did, and there's not more to it. You know. Even when did he was being tried, you thought a lot more fallout. Would take place, but it didn't. So I don't know, but I think that's one of the land mines. So most people saying, hey, you need Trump's endorsement next year to win, no matter where you are in the country. That's one of the things we'll talk about here with the Senate race in North Carolina and where that stands right now. But that is a landmine. One of the land mines they've got is that one. There aren't as many. He's really had a great streak, but I think that Bondy has set herself up, and so what a lot of people want to suspect, especially in the anti Trump world or even the wait, even the pro Trump people are very upset that there's no there there. With the Epstein situation, they. Simply can't reconcile after being told there's something there there where there's smoke, there's fire, and then all of a sudden, these are not the droids you're looking for. It's like a Jedi mind trick went viral. These are not the droids you're looking for. Well, wait a minute, there's two people in jail. There must there must be something there. He killed himself. Why would he kill himself? A lot of people don't even believe he killed himself. But we'll see. Now several issues to get to So I spent the first hour discussing kind of the difference in left and right, and it leads us. I've got four different stories, actually five, but four that are that are absolutely germane that that become a way do you trust what you see? Who do you trust? Why do you trust them? What do you believe? The reality isn't moving forward? This is by Steve Bennon over at MSNBC, and I'm sharing this story with you for a reason that it is not self evident as I go through it, but I will get to it, I promise. And that is and he starts out with this, and it's about why questions about the reliability of federal economic data have become unavoidable now. Even the lead there. So what they're saying is, wait, the federal government's giving us data, Why all of a sudden shouldn't we trust it. Well, if you're a if you're in the media, you would you absolutely. This is the kind of stuff you write because you're like, well, because Trump's in office, so we can't trust it now. When Biden was in office but not present, where were your questions? But Trump's in office and is cognizant and all of a sudden, you think it's you could trust what came out of. The Biden White House. Knowing it was a complete lie, it didn't generate a lot of attention, he says. But Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell was asking a press conference about cutbacks in federal economic statistics collection, and his response struck me as interesting. Having really good data doesn't just help the Fed. It helps the government, It helps Congress, it helps the executive branch. Powell said, more importantly, really it helps businesses. They need to know what's going on in the economy. The United States has been a leader for many, many years in this whole project of measuring and understanding what's happening in our very large and dynamic economy, and I hate to see us cutting back on that because it's a real benefit for the general public. Now, everything he pretty much that Powell said in that statement is ostensibly true, except for one part. It has one massive assignumption that is wrongheaded, and that is, do you believe you can get the same amount of data with fewer people. The assumption is that everybody's that is there right now is one hundred percent necessary, and that but for those one hundred percent people that are absolutely necessary. The data you get are unreliable, so it's a false premise. These unscripted comments back to the column, came to mind late last week when the new monthly job NEMBS came out. Over the first six months of twenty twenty five, US job growth has slowed, and I heard from some readers who ask variations on the same question. Can we trust economic data from the Trump administration? Of course his base and who's asking them says a lot. This is MSNBC, after all, In an era which traditionally a political which has traditional political apolitical agencies have become overtly partisan, aren't there reasons to be skeptical about the accuracy of federal statistics because it could be manipulated? Right? The first relates to concerns about corruption and political mischief. Notice that they weren't asking this when we had a vacant commander in chief. They're only asking it now. Perhaps Donald Trump, the argument goes, might use his influence. Might they didn't say he did, could use his influence to tell the Labor Department to manipulate the data to deceive the public. No one's ever suggested that, no one's ever said that, but he's putting that out there. To say what if today? There have been instances in which the release of embarrassing government statistics was delayed, but there's been no evidence of statistics being altered. Though. If you're a government official who's received such pressureized sincerely hope you'll reach out to us and take advantage of the many who secure ways to communicate. In other words, he say, Hey, no one's ever done it, but since you work at the Trump administration, you might want to let me know through back channels what's going on. This is the kind that passes for legit media, and you know. The New York Times reported mister Trump's freeze on federal hiring, combined with the buyouts he offered early in his term, has led to increase staff attrition at the statistical agencies. Staffing shortages appear to have been a factor in the Labor Statistics recent cuts, according to information the agency provided. So blah blah blah blah. What they're trying to say is, whenever you decrease the size and scope of anything in government, it must be bad because they were one hundred percent necessary. But when they report business data, when Amazon does it, or any other company does it. It's the streamline operations. It's to make it more efficient, but not in government. All right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. Why well, because it's how you detect media bias, which is why I've been so impressed with ground News. By the way, just to give you. Lest you think, Heyazz just spouting off stuff, the voter registration trends in North Carolina continue to be headwinds for Democrats. Democrats are not winning over voters, they're not registering war voters. I mean, unaffiliated are doing quite well. But we're not far. From Democrats being the second tier party. I mean Republicans replacing Democrats in sheer volume of registrations. And you know, when you look at that, a good example this just in new July voter registration North Carolina. Republicans up sixteen hundred and forty Democrats minus nine hundred and sixty four. I mean, that's a twenty five hundred vote shift just for July voter registration. It's drifting. North Kina continues to drift, and when if you're looking for more you know details on this, the final day of May listed seven point five million registrations split, you know, thirty point seven percent Democrat thirty point four percent Republican. So that trend continues to move in Republicans favorable territory. The other damaging thing is that thirty seven point eight unaffiliated, the state's largest group, tends to vote to the right more than the left. And that's a problem for Democrats because if North Carolina becomes a state, I mean, it's got two senators, it's got majorities in both houses, it's voted even Romney one North Carolina trip point at three times in a row. If North Carolina becomes reliably red enough, I mean the last senator to have it would have been kay Hagen and she held it one term. John Edwards one term. But if it becomes reliably read from a financial standpoint, that is very problematic for Democrats because that would mean, you know, you've already got you know, Florida Texas to Texas Florida, You've got several reliably red states. And if enough of those become reliably reliably read, the resources that are there that can be shifted to other states means Democrats are playing more defense in state after state after state. That is a trend that is very potentially damaging for Democrats. I mean, I know they're very optimistic about taking back the Senate next year, but as you look on the ground in North Carolina and I'll get into that. I want to finish up this this one column and several others as a matter of fact, but one of the discussions is where do we head for the Senate? And if you look right now at where we are in the Senate race, it's kind of interesting because on the Democrat side you got Roy Cooper, who you know, has he left the state, He's got a teaching position. It's either Harvard or Yell. I think it's Harvard, but I don't know. And plus, Roy Cooper really can't stand Republicans, and if you move him to d C, he would have to deal with a lot of them and probably be in the majority. And I don't think he would deal with them. I don't think he has the fire to be the next Senator from North Carolina. I think he's but again, I'm not prognosticating. My gut tells me. And it's not hatred toward or Cooper, fundamental disagreements with him, but it's not personal. Is that I just don't see the fire in his belly. I think he wants time with his family. That's me guessing. I think also it would be a gut wrenching race for him. It would be very different than a gubernatorial race. It would be a very difficult race, especially with the president out there on the campaign trail. That would leave someone like Jeff Jackson out there, who you know, wouldn't have to sacrifice his attorney general position. He's very charismatic, he could raise money. So the Democrats have a few candidates that chiefs roue. I would say Jeff Jackson would be the front runner right now. That's me. Secondly, on the Republican side, and you've got people, you know, Dan Bishop's name. Gets bandied about. There's some other names that get pandied about, but Pat Harrigan is a name that continues to be out in that front circle. Now, I say that with a caveat. Pat Harrigan Western North Carolina is in Congress, the very Trump friendly. The President's met with him, likes him. And for the Republicans will the real question is will either party have a primary. I would suspect that if the President jumps into that race, there will be no Republican primary. For Democrats, I think they need every dime they can get it. Democrats are really good about pushing people aside in primaries, and probably they would have to rally around one, so the race could be a very long one, which would make it a lot more expensive. We'll see, But I think on the right you heard me talk about Pat Harrigan, and I omitted one name on perse because it is it is a field clearing name, and that is Laura Trump. She turned down the run in Florida. I don't think that was a good run for North Carolina. Five days ago there was a story that Pat Harrigan has said that if Laura Trump wins, she will have one have his endorsement. I think that's a way for Pat to keep his name in the mix. Laura Trump hasn't signaled that she wants to run, so it's going to be a matter of who has the passion for it. She is from North Caroline, She's from Rightsvill Beach. She has a lot of connections. In North Carolina. Plus her name, plus her name ID, plus obviously the endorsement of her father in law. That could be a tremendous asset on the ground in North Carolina for a Senate seat that the Republicans cannot afford to give up. Also, we're Harrigan or Laura Trump to prevail, that would be a reliably conservative vote in that particular seat to join Ted Budd, who would then become the states who will be by the way, Ted Budd will be the state's senior senator moving forward. And if either of those were to win or to be and again we're light years away from who it might be registrate. I mean, sign up doesn't start until December. We're one of those two to win be a reliably red seat, a reliably conservative seat for the Republicans in DC. Democrats desperately want it. I don't know. I don't know. With the president hear what Roy Cooper, I don't think he wants to tangle with that one. So the Democrats will put someone, but it know you a lot about what they think their chances are by who becomes the nominee, because that could be either one of the most expensive races in the country or it's going to be a Republican's walking to victory. I don't see the Democrats why they could Trump could be very damaged by next year. Who knows, it's a political light year. As they say, here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina? Just a quick drive up the mountain, and Cabins of Asheville is your connection. I mentioned earlier people there are other people they do know how to social media, and they did. I won't repeat what was that. It's funny. It's just questionable if I should repeat it, but it was. I appreciate the shout out about Jeff sat Jackson will be the nominee unless you know, the Democrats find the candidate can check certain you know, trans race boxes before. You know they got a candidate. That was funny. Now, when we went to the break, it was talking about it was a writer from MSNBC and it was about the veracity of data from the White House on job numbers from the Labor Department. And here's the funny thing, I said, And I went through the whole article, and it's the short row. I didn't go through the whole article, the short version of the article, and it it takes snippets from the New York Times and other leftist sources and it says, you know, can we trust the numbers that the Trump administration gives us because wouldn't they put pressure on the labor Department to skew the numbers. Now he has no evidence to support that other than they don't like Trump. But nowhere do they question the data that the Biden administration was given. Well, mainly because it was very bad and it was proven it was neat, because all the prognostications, Oh, it's gonna get better than inflation reduction acts gonna work, it's gonna be great, it's gonna be wonderful, and it just just the opposite. Inflation went through the roof the job. Numbers were bad. The Biden administration was a dismal failure on many fronts, but the most significant is that you didn't know who was in charge, and the same people from MSNBC they're questioning the truthiness for lack of a better phrase of the Labor Department didn't question the Biden administration didn't question. If ever, there was pressure to probably cook the books, so to speak, when you don't have a commander in chief in charge who has to look at cheat sheets just to say, hello, how. Are you doing? Who's running the show. When they're giving you data, who do you trust? Why do you trust it? But now they question it? So I didn't want to belabor that. But that was one example, and that was from MSNBC. Now the next one, then, I think is a good one, is well, I'll go to the healthcare first. So the. So the healthcare and the media bias, Let's go to healthcare. It's Victor Davis. Hanson has said some things, but this is really about Derek Hunter. Derek Hunter over at town dot com Road to piece. You know now that there's one big beautiful bill and is the law of the land. The panic that democrats. Remember I told you whenever Democrats get upset, people are going to die. Meaning uh, Trump cut off. Aid, millions of people are going to die in Africa, UH, meteorology, Texas, They're going to die in anything. It's always oh. And then in North Carolina because the big beautiful bill, people are going to die. Amputees are going to get amputated with no health They're going to die. That's their answer. Rather than have a salient substance of debate, it's just people are going to die. Now, the one big beautiful bill is the law of the land. The panic Democrats tried to inspire, We'll have nowhere to go. What do you do with the people. So gullible that they believe anything. A Democrats says, some people are simply unreachable and it's probably best not to waste your time. But it's worth noting that the fear they manufacture. In people is not an accident. How many times have you heard someone say big drug companies would rather people die than see their profits drop, or some such variation. I bet you've heard it a lot. It's a very effective line of attack as it pits someone in need against a horrific evil corporation and doesn't hate faceless corporate Who doesn't hate faceless corporations? The only problem is, if you think about it rationally, what kind of business plan is it where you have your customers base die? Not a growth industry there. While you can find cases, now, I would add the caveat theory is that the allegation is that drug companies would rather have you dependent on their drugs and live for a long time than to have a cure that you take one time. That's the conspiracy theory. While you can find cases of people genuinely unable to afford their prescriptions or an insurance companies screwing over someone, those cases are more rare than not. Surveys show during the Obamacare debate that health insurance companies were wildly unpopular with the public, but because the public had a highly favorable view. Of their own insurance. Why people hate Congress but they typically like their congress person. Medicaid is no different. Medicaid is the joint state and federal program for health insurance for the poor, and Democrats have been using the quote cuts to the program and the one to being beautiful guild to scare the hell out of people and the hope that it'll stop it. But it didn't stop. You know one woman. I'm not going to get to that, get to the rest of the column, but the key to a woman who complained about all this issue is laid bare when talking about getting a job and how it won't make her happy. That's not the point of work, at least not when you're starting out. It's about gaining experience, building skills and talents, and someone Sometimes it's about discovering what you don't want to do with the rest of your life. I've had more jobs than most families have had, and each one taught me something. I've had I can't even tell you how many jobs right off that I myself. The Democratic Party has instilled in a lot of people the poisonous idea that you somehow are entitled because you exist, and that any expectation of you is oppressive. Not only is that destructive to society, but it's also destructive to the individuals who start believing that stuff. Democrats don't give a damn if someone were to harm themselves for someone else. They don't care that somebody's isolating themselves from friends and family means they're easier pickings for the brown shirts on the left, the permanently mobilized, violent mod that enforces the will of Democrats, that's what they care about. If they have to instill more panic in people unable to deal with it, or destroy a few lives along the way, so be it. What are they going to do? Offer some specific policy proposal. No, they're not going to do that, And that's the problem. They just make you fearful rather than have an honest debate about something. That's what climate change is. The sky is falling thirty years ago, forty years ago, twenty years ago. What's the end? Hurricanes are going to destroy? You got to act now, you gotta you know that they never The left never saw in climate change originally the ability to push socialism under the guise of climate change, because all the answers to climate change are bigger, more powerful government, higher, more ludicrous taxes, and a way to destroy businesses and control the means of production visa vie energy. So I'm gonna try to tell you what we'll do here. So I'm gonna I'm gonna try this, We're gonna try this, We're gonna see. So she was asked about the Epstein files, and what I posted was, no matter what answer she gives at this point, there are many people out there that will not be satisfied. I'm gonna play her answer because I want you to hear it from her mouth, not mine. But here's what Pam Bondi had to say what asks specifically about the Epstein situation and her comments previously about it, the client list being on her desk, and her clarification on that. Here's what she had to say. First to back up on that. In February, I did an interview on Fox and it's been getting a lot of attention because I said I was asked a question about the client list and my response was it's sitting on my desk to be reviewed, meaning the file along with the jfk MLK files as well, that's what I meant by that. Also to the tens of thousands of video they turned out to be child porn downloaded by disgusting Jeffrey Epstein. Childhorn is what they were never going to be released, never going to see. The light of day. To him being an agent, I have no knowledge about that. We can get back to you on that. And the minute missing from the video. We released the video showing definitively the video was not conclusive, but the evidence prior to it was showing he committed suicide. And what was on that there was a minute that was off the counter. And what we learned from euro of Prisons was every year, every night they redo that videos old from like nineteen ninety nine, so every night the video is reset and every night should have the same minute missing. So we're looking for that video to release that as well, showing that a minute is missing every night. So that's from the Attorney General of the United States Pambondi. Clearly, this is an issue for people. It's not an issue that's going That is not the answer. And this is the problem with many big situations in society. When you're looking, you know a lot of people say you know, I'm not going to be satisfied until these Democrats a arrested and they got a picture of Hillary and they put Obama out there, and they. Put all these you know, Millie and all these others. I'm not going to be happy. Well, if there isn't a due process way to do it, that's not going to make you happy. That's not going to make anybody happy. It's kind of like the political life. I'm not gonna be happy till Trump goes to the jail. Way we got a mug shot of him, Well, Trump turned it into a magnificent fundraising opportunity, and the others were lawfair that have since been kind of laughed out. The point being, we're at a time in society where we come to conclusions on the right and left very quickly, and we we because we want to believe certain things. It's very hard to believe that Jeffrey Epstein, this guy that had so much power and so much money and so much influence, just oftened himself in the jail. It's hard to believe that all of the people that he associated with, from the Clintons to Trump to everybody, I mean anybody who was anybody in entertainment and politics. Knew and had peripheral contact with he Gallne Maxwell, and it's hard to believe that it could be really that. I mean, Lalita Island was a real place people went there. We know about the underage girl with the Britainyalty. We know that, So you have to infer that there's a lot more that We've got several girls that have come forward that have said, hey, there was a lot, there was a lot there. So I don't know. I don't think that answer is the end of it. I still think there's more to come because there are still multiple lawsuits that are underway where there are people that want the truth to come out about that. Now is it going to satisfy the masses? I don't know. I don't know that that particular answer has been has been taken care of. I don't So you have it. That's what it was. Now. A couple of more things that I want to get to that were a continuation of the first hour when we were kind of illustrating the distinctions between the MAGA people and the TDS. And I really think the. MAGA it wasn't a Trump phenomenon. It was the tea Party and there was this huge conservative base that was constantly disappointed by the Republican Party that went after and challenge the Republicans, and the Republicans would would still you know, rais raise spending and never deal with things in a serious manner. And you know, Trump kind of filled that void. So it was not so much that it was mag of faithful as a candidate rose from the need and the hole in the Republican Party that was created by the Republican Party that Trump filled. That's what that is. And if there were ten more people like that, and I think we're going to see that. I think there's a there's an entire new bench of players in that that are going to carry forth that that have fundamentally changed the Republican Party moving forward. For the left, the Democrats have a problem with Lauraman and AOC and Mamdanie and they're going to at some point have to figure out how to reject that world. They're going to have to figure out, do we really want Mam Donnie to be the standard bearer. He's going to be mayor of New York. I mean, Rob a Manuel's kind of signaled the alarm. I think Gavin Knwsom signaling the alarm. I think the party faithful starting to be very concerned about their parties drift into obscurity with the border and with you know, rapists and murderers and all that of you know, not not confronting that problem, with the immigration crisis, not confronting the problem of you know, we had another race where a trans cyclist just leaps through the field and defeats you know, all these amazing female athletes, and when they go to the podium, the second and third placement, it's just not there. And the Democrats are aligned with that. Democrats that sit before Congress and can't tell I think that ten years from now we will look back and go, how were Democrats unable to tell you what a woman was? I mean, this girl that lost the race said, hey, there's an advantage to a Y chromosome. It's just there. That's just reality. And you have a Supreme Court nominee in Katanji Brown Jackson. They couldn't answer that question. You have Democrats Scots of the camp. What's a woman? People identify as women genders a social construct. I don't know, No, it's this is you know xxx YX pretty simple I'm sorry. And then you know, people who can give birth, that's that's only an expression that the political. Left can come up with. They're called women. It's not real difficult. This isn't a this is not a difficult topic. It's been made difficult. I mean, Charlotte was one of the headquarters of this. The men and women's. Bathroom issue really started in Charlotte. Now, how's that aging for them? It's not aging very well, it's just not so a couple of things we're going to get to on the other side of the break. I will get to the flooding that now we've got over one hundred and one hundred and two victims. But you know, I want to get to where people have already politicized that event.
