Rule number two in journalisming, When the scandal is about a Republican, then the story is the scandal. When a scandal is about a Democrat, then the story becomes the Republican reaction to the scandal, not the scandal. And you are seeing this very same dynamic play out in the wake of the Minneapolis Catholic School shooting. It's the same it's the same mechanic applied in this case. The scandal is the the ideology that animated this deranged shooter, right like, that's the that's the scandal. You know, You're you're seeing media reports that we don't know what the motive may be. Well, no, we do, actually because unlike with the Tennessee, UH Christian school shooting. I think that was Covenant. They weren't able to bury the manifesto they were the media was not able, and law enforcement was not able to hide it because this deranged maniac up in Minnesota posted it all on YouTube and then you YouTube did take it down shortly after the shootings or the shooting, but people had gotten it before YouTube wiped it, so we know now. I'm not saying that this person was a you know, a sane Democrat kind of a person that I'm not saying that. What I am saying is that he was animated by the catastrophism that is preached by the Democrats and the media. But I repeat myself, and had this person been, say, a Tea partier, a Trump supporter, a proud boy trying to think of a J sixer, right, like any any affiliation that this deranged maniac had to the right, that would then prompt the focus on the ideology that animated him. Right, He's obviously insane. He was insane, and then he just layers in all of this, uh, these the ideology, but also like these narratives and this feeling that he has no other choice. He's filled with regret as well for previous choices. But he's also deranged, right he he obviously is insane. And I'm not saying that all people who agree with different components of what he was talking about that somehow or another, like they're all homicidal maniacs. I'm not saying that. However, just like the shooting of the Republicans on the ball field years ago that uh, you know, the shooter was screaming, this is for healthcare. He was a Bernie bro and he too was animated by this political ideology. Ben Shapiro calls it the omni cause, right where all of these different uh oppressed, self identified oppressed constituencies, right, they all rally under the Democrat banner, and hey, you're oppressed. I'm oppressed. We're intersectionally oppressed. And the answer to the oppression is to tear down all of the institutions in Western society and you know, institute Marxism of some brand, and that will solve all of the problems. Because as James Lindsay frequently says, and I do as well now because he said it, and I thought that's exactly right, which is the issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution, So you just layer on all of these different causes. And when you see the videos that this maniac produced, you see the journals that the maniac wrote, you listen to the things that the maniac says in his videos, it is a check let of every one of the leftist talking points and positions. All of them are in there. You've got obviously, the threat to kill the president multiple times. Where is your God? Was another one that he wrote on his weapons on a or actually on a magazine for the weapon why so Querious? Apparently a reference to a piece of music. Several references to Israel, including a smoke bomb where he wrote extra thick jew gas burn Israel was another six million, wasn't enough? Wrote that on a holster. He also had a whole bunch of stickers on one page, and it took me a minute to realize when I was seeing it, like, what's up with this sticker? I'm not talking about the gay Prize transflag with the assault rifle as part of the flag. I'm not talking about that. I'm not talking about the picture of Jesus Christ that he had put on the top of his target practice silhouette. And then stabbed it with a knife, not talking about that. They were stickers of a video game character. Do you know what video game Super Mario Brothers? Do you know who the brother of Mario is? Luigi? It was only Luigi, like seven eight stickers of Luigi, all in clustered on one page. What's that about? What do you think that's about? Well, that's the guy who murdered the healthcare ceo, shot him in the back. Also deranged maniac Luigi Mangoni. See what I mean? All of these things, all of the stuff that was animating him in his psychosis, These are all things of the left. These are all things that are celebrated and heralded inside of left wing ideology. So that's why there has to be a deflection. We can't talk about any of the stuff that may have helped propel this guy towards his end. No, it's got to be about the reaction to the scandal, and that brings us to the attacks on people of faith and Republicans who offer up prayers, and then also that leads to the attack on gun ownership. So when the scandal is about the left, the story is the Republican reaction, and that's what we're seeing right now. All right, So you've heard me talk about Creative Video for almost a year. But did you know they also offer a game changing app or businesses that reward their teams with incentive trips. Well they do. It's called Incentive trip Kit. If you want a business or work at one that offers these incentive trips, this is a must have. It maximizes the impact and value of these motivational trips. It's a super easy to use app built just for your group, with private messaging, shared photos, important trip documents, even a find the group locator just in case somebody gets separated. And when I say it's private, I mean it. No personal emails, no phone numbers, no ads, no account sign ups. Everyone uses one shared login, so it's super easy, no hassles. During the trip, everybody can post their best photos and short video clips, and folks back at the office can even follow along. And then after the trip, Incentive trip Kit turns those memories into a professional storytelling video you can use to motivate, inspire, and get people fired up for next year's trip. More fun, more memories, more ROI check it out now at incentive tripkit dot com or call eric At eight eight, eight, five three three seventy six thirty Extension two O seven for the details. The maniac in Minneapolis had said goodbye to his family and friends. He said, I have waited for this. I've waited this for so long, Okay, waited for this for so long. I am not well, I am not right. I am a sad person, haunted by these thoughts that do not go away. I know this is wrong, but I can't seem to stop myself. I am severely depressed, and I've been suicidal for years. Only recently I have lost all hope and decided to perform my final action against this world. I don't want to kneel down for the injustices of this world. I want to die. I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees constantly in pain. See the tendency for interpersonal victimhood. That's what this is. This is someone trapped inside of his own head and views himself as a victim and only a victim of all the world. And that is a message that is constantly hammered home by leftist ideology, that you are being oppressed, that all the world needs to be seen through this prism. You are cranking out more and more of these people with this kind of mentality. Now, I'm not saying everybody again picks up arms and goes and murders people. I'm saying this is the victimhood mindset more than seven years. This is from NBC News. So that's why they're gonna call the shooter or a she, which I'm not actually sure that you are respecting his pronouns at this point, because he said he was no longer trans. Yeah, and he said he wanted to chop his hair off, but it was the last little bit left of his femaleness or something. Right. The guy obviously had serious mental issues for a long time. The answer was not to juice him up with synthetic hormones. But that's what you do in Minneapolis, Minnesota, especially right A refuge self declared announced with great fanfare that they're a refuge for this. More than seven years before the shooting, police were called to a townhouse in the Twin City suburb where he lived with his mother. I'm changing the pronouns back to him because it's a dude. It was a dude. The heavily redacted police report obtained by NBC from the police department in Egan, Minnesota, dated January twenty sixth, twenty eighteen, includes a two word description explaining why an officer was dispatched to that address and says mental health. It includes a brief synopsis that reads assisted Mendota Heights with a zech welfare of a juvenile, Name of that juvenile and what exactly prompted police to be summoned to the three bedroom home on Crane Creek Lane were blacked out in the report. Two years before the mental health call, police responded to a report of a criminal offense at the residents, but beyond noting that the case was closed, the report blacks out all the details describing the event. The shooter, NBC says, was a trans woman, but was he? He said he wasn't anymore so, NBC, you're being very I don't know what the word untransphobic. You're not respecting his pronouns, which media is falling all over themselves to do in the wake of the of the attack, is for some reason, to honor the murderer by respecting his pronouns in the fear that it's going to cause some triggering event for some other person. Right, the coddling that occurs. This is why people argue that the radical transgenderism has an ideology it is by its nature transgressive against everybody. Because it's not enough for you to just live and let live. You have to affirm, you have to play along, and if you don't, well, radical transgender ideology says that that is violence against them, that you're trying to make them kill themselves, and so therefore I need to fight you back. And so this is you know, literally life threatening for them. And if it is life threatening for them, well then that allows them to do stuff to save their own lives, to take out those threats. I didn't. This is not me making this stuff up. This is what they espouse. In fact, there's some trans magazine that just published front page, terrible timing, some transgender sitting on the front page with a whole bunch of weaponry talking about we're bashing back. You know, like. Remember the Zizians, remember those guys transgender murder cult murdered or yeah, they murdered like eight people or something from California. Although we up to the border patrol in Vermont or New Hampshire. Yeah, this is a growing problem and the left does not want to address it because it involves one of their protected classes and they share ideology and so must deflect. Now, the NBC report notes that Minnesota has a red flag law, but nothing ever tripped it. There was never any reason to suspect that this person who was depressed and suicidal for years, no family member reported that as a potential red flag. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara said yesterday that authorities do not have information indicating that he suffered from any mental illness other than a traffic ticket he didn't have. Besides the traffic ticket, he had no police record, right, So there's no indication that he suffered from mental illness except for the you know, the journals, the YouTube videos, right, the transgenderism like that right there, your dysmorphia, like that's that's a mental health issue. O'Hara also added that the family has been cooperating with investigators, but they have not yet located his mother, who, by the way, according to the New York Post, she's ghosting. She went and got a lawyer, and she's ghosting the FBI. So I don't know what to make of this police chief here. Brian O'Hara when you tell me that we don't have any idea, we have no indication, no information that he suffered from mental illness. When I can look at the videos and identify within about twenty seconds, oh yeah, that's a crazy person. That is an evil, deranged person right there. And then you turn around and say, oh, the family's cooperating. But mommy got a lawyer. She's in Florida, and she's not home when the FBI shows up, So they searched her place by the way, and they took a bunch of stuff out of her house. Now, look, probably a good idea to get a lawyer, but also probably a good idea to then cooperate with law enforcement so it doesn't look like you're trying to hide something, and you can go through your lawyer to do that. That's very advisable, actually. But when you get a lawyer, he puts out he puts out a statement that saying that she had no culpability in the shooting. And that may be true legally, don't know about morally. Don't know if there were signs that she thought she was seeing but didn't say anything or whatever, or maybe she gave him money that he used to buy the weapons. I don't know, but so far her behavior is a little. As the kids would say, sus here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Message from Russ It's interesting that even after resolving he was going to die carrying out his twisted plan, the fear of backlash from the trans community for cutting his hair still had so much power over him. That says a lot about the acceptance and tolerance of the trans community. The New York Times ran an article with basic information on the shooting with one exception. You want to guess what it was right? He was trans. He was a he, but they wrote it as a she. He had hatred for Jews that was scrawled all over his books and his weaponry. He hated Elon Musk as well, made references to Elon Musk killing the President. He also lamented his own transition, saying that he was tired of being trans and that he was brainwashed into thinking he was a woman. NBC I was reading from this article. Earlier, NBC reports that the police are reviewing the online videos in which the shooter scrawled racial slurs, a homophobic slur, anti Semitic messages, a call for President Donald Trump's death, and references to the Holocaust and the Catholic Church references to the Holocaust. Note the sanitizing nature of this description. References to the Holocaust, Well, what would that mean? Well, he said six million Jews wasn't enough, That's what. So in other words, he was pro Holocaust, wanted more Jews to be murdered. The video shows the suspect flipping through the pages of a journal written in English but using the cyrillic alphabet. At times, he utters the word kashmar, which is the Russian word for nightmare. He discusses the mechanics of mass school shootings as well as suicide. A person who went to Minneapolis's Southwest High School with the shooter and described her him as quote a bit of a strange person with a dark sense of humor. But she said she never heard the shooter make any jokes about shootings or guns, but he often mumbled in what the person believed was Russian. She said, many people do and say strange things in their teenage years, so many people just saw it as him just trying to be edgy or funny. In the journal, the shooter says that he began pondering mass murder in the seventh grade. He was in his twenties, he was like twenty three, I believe, So in the seventh grade he starts pondering this, and in particular, he became fixated on the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut back in twenty twelve, which I mentioned yesterday. This is one of the hallmarks of these types of murderers. They keep score, They analyze and review and critique these mass murderers, their style, their plan of attack, and all of this stuff, and then they start making references that like, this is how I would have done it right, And this is why I don't name these people, because I don't want to. This is also, by the way, you ever notice this that media doesn't report suicides, and there's a reason for that is that the studies show that the more you publicize this stuff, then it becomes a social contagion and people then begin copycatting. And media determined decades ago not to participate in that and so if there is a suicide that occurs, we don't report that unless there's some sort of larger impact, like a person, you know, jumping off of a bridge and it stops traffic or something. But even then you will just hear the media reports something like police activity. You don't. We don't give any sunlight to a person's effort at self harm. We don't do it. And that's what I view these as. So that's why I don't name the shooters, because they do participate in a social contagion. Now, it's also interesting to note this Catholic school did not have any armed security. However, two years ago, the leaders of independent schools and Catholic schools in Minnesota went to the Democrat Governor Tim Walls to try to secure funding for their schools. They wrote them a letter. They had a meeting. It was dated April fourteenth, twenty twenty three. The president of Men Dependent and that guy's name is Tim Bens. Along with Jason Adkins, the executive director of the Minnesota Catholic Conference, they co authored this letter to the governor saying there are about seventy two thousand students that are enrolled in independent Catholic Jewish, Christian, and Muslim non public schools in Minnesota, and they wrote this letter right after the shooting at a Christian school in Tennessee, which was also carried out by a transgender person. The leaders specifically called on the governor for assistance in making sure not only that the Minnesota legislature enacts his budget recommendation, which had fifty million dollars in it to establish the Building and Cybersecurity grant program, but also that this program include all schools as eligible for funding, regardless of whether these schools are public, charters or non public. So Walls's budget had fifty million dollars in it for this grant program, and they were trying to get the non public schools to also get some funding for security. In the wake of the Covenant shooting. Atkins told The Daily Wire after the shooting in Minneapolis that no additional security was ever funded, even though the money existed. He said, quote, it's a lack of will to do it by elected officials, coupled with opposition by some legislators because non public schools students were included in the funding. In other words, it's government schools or nothing. We will not help provide security for kids unless they come to gov CO schools. Right, So, when you hear the LEFT in the wake of one of these tragedies, in the wake of one of these shootings, and they say do something, and then you get a response of hey, here's something that we could do. Oh not that we want you to do what we want to have done. That's what we mean. We don't mean do something, We mean do my thing. Do the thing that I want done, which is give me your guns, disarm everybody, go around and collect all the guns or something, send law enforcement to seize everyone's guns. That's what they actually mean. The budget had an eighteen billion dollar surplus and they couldn't scrape together fifty million of it to help fund security at schools like the one that was just attacked. Dean, Welcome to the program. Hello Dean, Hi Pete. Hope you have a nice holiday this week. And you as well. May your labor be minimal, okay, and may. Your confrontations be zero? Oh okay, sure, I was just listening to all of this and I don't know, I've heard this call on about you know, with people and and the shootings and everything forever and I and I don't think it's like a legislative or a positioning. I think it's in I think it's a condition of people. I think it's in their DNA. There's good and there's evil. But I think what influences them is there were all products of our environment to a certain extent or to a great extent, I feel, and our environment is changing and as long as we uh, the environment encourages this kind of activity through the media, through the discussions, through the uh, the you know, uh an ability to act on any of this by you know, the government, you know, uh focused kind of action. So right, So if I agree you're I mean, you've hit both of the nature and nurture components and that yes, because it's not either or. So what would be the way to combat this natural instinctive kind of urge that you say people have, Like, what, what's the way to deal with that at a personal level? I don't know, you know, I hate to be negative about this thing, but you know, sometimes the easiest course of action is not always the best course of action. And it's a lot easier to dislike someone or you know, not like their views, not like them for their views. Then there is this show compassion or understanding or listening. I don't know, I really sincerely don't know. Well, I think you do because I think you use the language right at the very beginning of your comments. Yeah, you said evil, And if you're going to say evil, if you were, if you had knowledge that evil exists, what does that mean? What is evil? Ah? Well, to me, it's it's like doing doing something to someone else that you wouldn't want done to you. That's what you're that's what you think. So okay, well you are not in everyday. Little things, not like just in greetings or something, but you know things that that make that make a difference, that are of the magnitude of. You know, right, So where right? What's the right? So? But what what makes it evil? Evil is a degree of bad. It is the worst degree of bad. And so where so, so where do you draw that line? Where does that come from? It comes from? To me, it comes from from all different areas. And that so do you believe much as do you believe in God? Yes? Do you believe in Satan? You can't believe in one without the other, I suspect, Well, no, no, it's like. A default thing. You know, you can't believe that light is on unless you can believe it's off. So I would submit that evil is from Satan. Well you know, yeah, But and I don't want to get into theological thing. I'm not but God doesn't really, you know. I mean, he's there and Satan's there and their entities, but it's it's not they're not making decisions for us. I'm not saying that. I'm not saying that either. But if you believe that that this is part of who we are as human beings, right, and that evil exists and Satan exists, then do you rule out the idea that Satan works through people in different ways. Yes, Satan can influence people, yes, right, So so. I gotta believe God can influence people for the good. Do you I don't think do you think God can change your life? I think you can embrace God and change your life, just as people, these people that do these mass murders embrace evil and it changes their lives. I don't think this kid at two years old started out like that. Well no, I've seen no evidence that says he started out. I mean, he says in seventh grade he started plotting the mass murders so, I mean, we've got in. The environment now nowadays encourages that. I mean, it's you know, I can't you can't turn time back. I agree with you. Yeah, but I mean, but you're also ignoring millennia where people slaughtered each other. In Earlier this week, I did this very topic talking about the slaughtering of Christians and Jews all across two thirds of Christendom by the Muslim and the stories of those battles and the way and the things that they did to people are horrific. I would submit evil, yes, right, So I would submit also then that the remedy is to, as you called it, embrace God and then let God help you, let God into your life, and then you would probably be less likely to pal around with Satan so much. Yeah. Yeah, so I think then as individuals may be more embracing of God and the good and that might help tamp some of this down. Not all cases, I mean, evil will always be here, so it's not going to get rid of all of it, but that might be helpful. Dean, I appreciate the call. All right, that'll do it for this episode.
