Anti-ICE website reveals info of 18,000 activists... and the freakout is amazing | Hour 2

This episode is presented by Create A Video – About 18,000 anti-ICE activists had their personal information exposed after signing up to a website that promised coordination of activities. The guy who previously was Google's security chief, Myles Taylor, apparently failed to set up a basic level of security for everyone who signed up to the website GTFOice.org.

I do not, because it's just this like this was the social media platform that was set up when Elon Musk bought Twitter, and the original founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, then went over and launched Blue Sky, which was basically where all of the leftists went because Elon's bad. We hate Elon. Because he was you know, Trump, and so they all went over to Blue Sky, which increased the sanity levels on Twitter for quite some time. But now there's like just a ton of bots and stuff that they've been unable to clean up. But over on Blue Sky, it's like it's like banfest over there. Okay, Like if you sign up, I'm trying to remember who it was. It was a liberal guy. He went over onto Blue Sky and within minutes of setting up his account he was banned because he got mass reported. And he was a liberal, but he was he was one of those rare liberals that was under the belief that a man cannot become a woman and vice versa. So he had double plus un good thoughts about gender right. So, and the leftist knew this about him because he's a writer and had published on this stuff. And so when he went over to Blue Sky to set up his account, as soon as he set it up, people found him. They mass reported him for hate and he was banned. So that's what you get on Blue Sky. I may go over there just to see how quickly I can get banned, but. Yeah, I don't know. I have no desire to go all over there and wighe through the fever swamps of leftist ideology. However, it is particularly insane this weekend. Why well, eighteen thousand left wing activists signed up at a website called g TFOIC, which stands for get the Facilities out ice. That's what they claim, Get the facilities out. That is not that is not the common usage of that acronym. It means too you know, just get the heck out of here, but not heck, you get the idea, but get the facilities out ice dot org. Okay, So they set up a website and this was going to be like a one stop shop for all of your anti ICE operational training, marketing materials. If you were to get arrested, you would get access to legal help, like if this is your one stop shop for all of your ICE protesting, right, and so they all signed up. They had a whole bunch of people. They opened up the website for people to sign into. People created accounts, and think about what you do when you create an account. You put your name in, you put your email address, maybe your phone number for you know, two step authentication. Obviously, however, and I'm not going to go into the details of the particular coding here because I am not a coder, so I don't know what this means. But from what I understand, this is like a very basic security thing that you're supposed to do in order to protect the data. And this very basic thing was not done. And so they are now freaking out on Blue Sky because you got eighteen thousand people that entered their names and email addresses for an obvious anti ICE actions and such, and now all of that information has been compromised. And in fact they got a message from somebody telling telling them that their information has been turned over to federal authorities. So here's the story over at zero Hedge. Nearly eighteen thousand left wing activists on Blue Sky are in panic mode this weekend after an anti ice activist website launched by a fired Trump official exposed their personal details due to a vulnerable connection an unprotected API. The website gtfo Ice was created by former DHS Chief of Staff and Google security executive. So this guy who left this basic massive vulnerability exposed used to be in charge of Google Security, which I'm sure makes everybody feel a lot more comfortable. The guy's name is Miles Taylor, and the site was billed as a rapid response network that allows people to sign up for alerts about proposed ICE facilities in their area. Taylor, who launched the website in partnership with Project salt Box, appeared last week on The Rachel Meadow Show to announce their rapid response network to stop ICE prison camps before they start. The breach exposed sign up records and may have been forwarded to federal investigators. One of these divisions, the Hagerstown Rapid Response. They wrote about this. They said one of the phone numbers used during sign up received a text message claiming that user data submitted to the website had been forwarded to federal authorities, including the FBI, HSI, and ICE. The message also included inflammatory claims about the individuals behind the project. We responded to the message but received no reply. So somebody hacked. Somebody hacked in through this basic security vulnerability. They got the list, and then they blasted out messages to the people that had signed up saying we got all your stuff and we've submitted your info to federal authorities, and that's why. They're all losing their minds now. Shortly after the website appeared to acknowledge the issue, the site put up a notice stating that signups had been temporarily paused while a security review was completed. Within twenty minutes, that message was taken down and was replaced with one of those generic under construction pages. Right, sorry, our website is unavailable at this time. Here we grow again. Tailor's security clearance. The guy who created this website his security clearance was suspended in April of twenty twenty five, so a year ago, and the reason it was suspended was for quote treasonous conduct, which sounds bad. That sounds bad. He was alleged to have stoked dissension by manufacturing sensational reports on the existence of a supposed resistance within the federal government. And now it appears he may have unintentionally honey potted his left wing comrades, many of whom reportedly plotted revolution on Blue Sky. So I'm torn in a story like this. I am torn. On the one hand, no, you're not. You should not. Be taking these lists to people and all of that stuff, right, But on the other hand, it's so rare that hackers ever target left wing activists, you know, so now they know how it feels like the hackers have been doing this to conservatives for a very long time and you know, organizations, publications and that sort of stuff. So I'm not. Saying I agree with it, however, like you really should you really should lock down your website better than the head of Google security, did you know? So there is also I'm torn on this other matter, which is. Was this a trap? Like was was this guy Miles Taylor just playing the long game, you know, Like he goes through all of it, and I'm gonna go over his history here, because as soon as I start giving you some of the details of his history, you're gonna you're gonna remember this guy because he's otherwise completely unmemorable. Right he was anonymous? Remember Anonymous? Remember that guy wrote a op ed. Yeah, that's him. And so he goes out, so he gets all of the left wing bona fides, right, he's like this resistance fighter inside the Trump administration. And then he goes out, partners up with a bunch of left wing organizations. He creates this website and then doesn't put in a basic control and now everybody's info is forwarded to the federal authorities. So like, was that was that a long game op? Or was he just done? Why not? Both? You know? Stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. So let's go to the wayback machine. Here's CBS News from October twenty ninth last year, So about six months ago. CBS did a bit of a puff piece on one Miles Taylor, a former high ranking Homeland Security official in the first Trump administration, is launching a new online hub to facilitate protests and other resistance efforts against President Trump and his policies. He's still fighting for the resistance, nevertheless, he persists. Miles Taylor, a former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, is leading a group of dozens of former national security officials whistleblowers and a bipartisan group of former elected officials to create a website called defiance dot org HM compelling and rich in its mission statement, the bipartisan group, Oh, that's two two references to bipartisans. So CBS really hammer and away like. This is bipartisan. This is not some sort of left wing thing. No, no, bipartisan. You'll never guess who the who the Republicans are in this effort. The bipartisan group says that the tool is designed to help Americans push back peacefully, lawfully, and defiantly against presidential abuses of power. I am sure it will go dark during the next Democrat administration. In September of twenty eighteen, so way back, Donald Trump's been in office, like not even two full years at this point, and Miles Taylor wrote an opinion piece in The New York Times and only signed it as anonymous and claimed to be a high ranking official in the Trump administration. And he had said in this op ed that there was a quiet resistance to President Trump within his own administration, made up of people working diligently to block what he called the president's worst inclinations. Remember this. He disclosed then two years later in twenty twenty that yeah, he wrote the piece. The announcement of the new site in twenty twenty five is intended to capitalize on momentum from the October No King's rallies earlier that month, which attracted participants across the country. The site launched Wednesday, So again, this is six months ago, and it launched with a video of actor Robert de Niro, a staunch Trump critic, urging protesters and critics to join forces. Again. In April of twenty twenty five, Trump signed an executative memo targeting Taylor, accusing him of manufacturing stories to sell his book. Oh yeah, because he wrote a book. So after he did the op ed and then he wrote a book and it was still authored. You know, it was anonymous. Trump ordered the DHS, the Justice Department, and other government agencies to investigate him and revoke his security clearances, as well as for those who work closely with him. Mister Trump also ordered an investigation into the alleged dissemination of classified documents whild Taylor worked for the government. Taylor denies that he leaked any such material. Look, I don't know if this guy leaked any classified stuff. However, I do think you know credit where it's due. Thank you for admitting that there is, in fact the quote deep state, because that's what people refer to when they're talking about the deep state, Like they're referring to people like Miles Taylor, who was working in the administration to thwart the administration from getting stuff done. Right, That's what the deep state is. And let's go back then to twenty twenty. October twenty twenty, former Homeland Security Chief of staff outs himself as anonymous who criticized trump. Slight problem here is that he had to lie about it a lot to a lot of different people, particularly CNN, where he was a contributor under contract, and he was asked point blank by multiple people, like one time I believe on the air by Anderson Cooper, and he denied it. Also, Josh Campbell, a national security correspondent, said that on Twitter, he said that he also asked Taylor if he was anonymous, and Taylor denied it too. Taylor said, now, okay, maybe I owe Anderson Cooper, a beer and a Maya Kulpa. He said he wrote in his book that he would deny being anonymous if asked because he wanted to keep the focus on his arguments instead. Of who was writing them. See. Here's the problem, though, is that if you're anonymous, you're asking people to believe you, right, and if you're anonymous, people have no way to judge your credibility without knowing who you are. Let me go over to the text line here. Joseph texts in and says, I don't know what the left is so upset about. Here. The government funds their activism and violence through these NGOs. They already know who they are. They're not going to round them up. It's not like there's some elderly woman that wandered through an open door in the Capitol building or something. That's a fair That is a fair point, Joseph, fairpoint, Okay. Joey says, is Miles Taylor a resistant hero champ. We're giving a clinic on double agent training. That's I don't know. I don't know. I think actually he's just dumb, Like I think they just did not secure the website and now all all of their data has been hacked. This from October twenty twenty Associated Press. Taylor has been an outspoken critic of Trump's in recent months, and had repeatedly denied that he was the author of the anonymous column, even do colleagues at CNN, where he has a contributor contract. Trump told a campaign rally in Arizona. Again, this was right before the election. Okay, Trump says, this guy is a low level lowlife that I don't know. I have no idea who he is other than I got to see him a little while ago on television. He called Taylor a sleeve bag and called for his prosecution, and then the crowd broke into years of drain the swamp. But here's the associated preceeditorialization. But as DHS chief of staff, Taylor was in many White House meetings with the President on his border policy and other major homeland security issues. So think about this. This guy was the chief of staff at DHS. He's in the meetings about border policy and in Trump's first term, and the whole time he's working to undermine the border policy of the commander in chief. And now he sets up websites to act as a one stop shop for anti ice activism, and this is the guy that was in a position of leadership. I don't know, But I don't know how much influenced this guy had or didn't have, and how much he could come up the works or not, I don't know. During his time as chief of Staff, Trump threatened to shut down the southern border, and his administration developed the policy to force asylum seekers to wait across the US Mexico border. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows called Taylor's revelation quote a monumental embarrassment, tweeting I have seen more exciting reveals in Scooby Doo episodes. Also fair. Taylor's anonymous essay was published in twenty eighteen by The New York Times, infuriating the president and setting off a frantic White House leak investigation to try to unmask. The author in the essay, who. At the time identified themselves only as a senior administration official, said they were part of a secret resistance force out to counter Trump's misguided impulses and undermine parts of his agenda, in other words, the deep state. He wrote at the time that many Trump and appointees have vowed to do what we can to preserve our democratic institutions while thwarting mister Trump's more misguided impulses until he is out of office. The allegations incensed the President, bolstering his allegations about a deep state operating within his government and conspiring against him. Yes, because that was true. That was true. We know this. We have all sorts of evidence, all sorts of names actors that were involved in these deep state efforts to thwart the President's agenda. I've gone over them for many, many years now, from the Russia collusion stuff to the was it the meeting with the Russian woman up in the hotel or whatever? For the not the p tape thing, that's the Steele dossier. But that was another one, right, Like, we have example after example of these instances where people inside the government, particularly the intelligence agencies, but also in all of the bureaucracies have worked to throw sand in the gears because they don't like Trump and they don't want him to succeed at the things that he ran on and promised during the campaign and then attempted to implement. And looking back on it now, right, this guy was in there when Trump was trying to secure the border, and this guy opposed that. And then what happens with Biden, They just undo everything, open the doors up mass immigration. Trump wins comes back in. Now he locks down the border. And we were told that this could not be done, that it could not be done during Trump's first term, during Biden's term, we were told that they needed new legislation, we had to have some grand bargain new powers. And that was a lie. No, we did not. Back to zero hedge dot com to do thousands signed up. Almost eighteen thousand people signed up onto this website. Now their data is exposed and there's a Twitter account highly recommend you follow. Her name is data Republican. Data Republican. She's sort of a Doze aligned investigative journalist. And so she goes through like she creates all these programs. I think she was a coder. And so she goes through and she gets all of like the government documents and goes through like the FEC filings and all of this, and she makes all of the connections for where all of the money is flowing, right, she wrote on her breakdown of this story, she says, the man who ran the third largest federal department with a quarter million employees and a sixty billion dollar budget, who oversaw ELC action security architecture and led counter terrorism operations and then served as Google's head of national security policy. Can't even secure a sign up form on a website, but he does milk hundreds of thousands of NGO dollars on these credentials while free loading off his fame as the person who wrote the infamous New York Times op ed, I am part of the resistance inside the Trump administration. This is all linked to the protest industrial complex, right funded by dark money groups and individuals via left wing billionaire kings and queens and their NGOs. So here's what Data Republican found. This website that was hacked. Gtfo ice is a coalition of three different organizations. Actually, the first is Defiance dot Org. That's the one that Miles Taylor set up with a person named Xander Schultz, and they did this about six months prior, so that's one organization. The next is Save America Movement. That is an organization founded by Steve Schmidt of the Lincoln Project. There's your bipartisanship. And number three is Project Salt Box. We'll go into some of the details on who these guys are and the money flows in a moment. A quick programming note, I will be here probably I guess tomorrow, filling in for Vince Cokeley for his last hour. So you will get four episodes of the podcast tomorrow and four hours of me live on the air. You're welcome, okay. So Data Republican goes through the founding organizations behind this massive screw up at GTFO, ice, Defiance dot org, Save America Movement, and Project Saltbox. So Steve Schmidt one of the founders of the Lincoln Project along with that miscreant Rick Wilson, and the other guy, John Weaver co founder who like was forced out after it came out that he would he solicited young men. So Steve Schmid co founded the Lincoln Project, raised about sixty five million dollars finances called under question when the money went to founders consulting firms, right, so like they paid themselves. They raised all this money, which I mean, you got it. A tip of the hat here to the players. You know, they were Republicans that were so disenchanted with Donald Trump and the shattering all of all the norms and all of that that they just could not bring themselves to support him in the MAGA movement and all of this, and so is what do they do? They go and they create their own organization, and they fundraised from lefties and all of a sudden, that sweet sweet billionaire commie money starts pouring in. And then they pay themselves because they all have their own little consulting firms, so they pay themselves to do the consulting work for the Lincoln Project, which like, that's I mean, you take that money off the playing field, right, That money would have otherwise gone to some you know, actual leftists and actual Democrat organizations. So you know, who knows. Maybe it was a maybe that was the scam. In fact, that's what AOC called it. AOC called it quote scam territory. So yeah, I don't know Scott Goudstein or Goodstein, I don't know Gtfoice's media contact guy. He was Obama's two thousand and eight external digital director and he led the Bernie Sanders twenty sixteen digital fundraising. His advisory board ties connect directly to the Arabella Advisor dark money network. So this is anything but grassroots people. Six hundred and twenty five thousand dollars in confirmed Arabella slash sixteen thirty fund dark money flows that went to gtfo ice Coalition Principles. The Lincoln Project hoovered up about three hundred thousand. One for Democracy took in two hundred and fifty k, and Defeat by Tweet took in another seventy five thousand. All of those or two of them, actually are run by Schultz Xander Schultz, who is the partner of Miles Taylor in Defiance dot org, which is also one of the partners that set up the gtfo ICE. See, they just create all of these little NGOs and these little organizations and then they all just plug into the billionaire dark money network. Defiance dot Org calls itself a nonprofit. She says I could not find IRS registration, though it solicits monthly memberships up to a thousand dollars a month with no known accountability. The quote Bipartisan Grassroots Movement is an unknown nonprofit run by Obama's digital director, Lincoln Project's co founder, with hundreds of thousands in Arabella dark money, whose sign up form was built by a former DHS chief of staff and Google security executive who left everyone's data exposed on an open API. The man who ran Homeland Security couldn't secure a sign up form, and we wonder why the government is such a mess. She went on to say in a separate tweet that the Blue Sky platform where all the leftists went, you know, in protest over Elon purchasing Twitter and allowing. Conservatives to speak. How dare he? Blue Sky is in full panic. She said, the same people who wanted to dos ice agents may have just doxed themselves thanks to sloppy website work by anti Trump operative Miles Taylor, who should have known better. And then she says the obvious question, did Taylor accidentally honeypot his own comrades? Was that accidental or was it intentional? Was this the op from the beginning? I doubt it, I really do doubt it. I think this was an accident. I think he did not mean to leave all of this information available to be gleaned by anybody that knows how to get into the back. End of a website. And it was apparently, and people got messages from whoever got the access. They started sending it out. There is a. There's a user on Twitter. I cannot read his handle, but it's like bleep you need soap. That's the guy's handle. Miles Taylor built his entire post Trump brand on national security credibility former DHS chief of Staff, anonymous op ed author, cyber and homeland security expert for hire. He launched gtfo ice on April twenty third as a rapid response network to crowd cancel ICE facilities, serious operational infrastructure allegedly run by serious people, allegedly, and the website was compromised the day it launched. Plaintext passwords seventeen thousand plus records. This is the guy who lectured America about national security from the pages. Of the New York Times. Oh how the worm turns smiles. Miles not smiles, but I guess this word might be smiling. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening.
