Another follower of the 'religion of peace' goes homicidal | Hour 2

Yeah, because some stuff happened this weekend with the News and Observer reporter. AP and me me much less so. But yeah, I got dragged into a big Twitter. Hullabaloo if you will over the weekend, and I look, I'm happy to participate. Don't get me wrong. Like you want to have a policy discussion, you want to go over some finer points on philosophy and such, I can do that. I actually prefer to do that stuff. You want to get into the mud and call names, well, I'm your huckleberry on that too. I can, I can. I have a foot in both worlds. I can easily adapt. So we have another another follower of the religion of peace who did something not very peaceful yet again, this was over in Germany at a or well, it wasn't at a Pride event, it was it was right outside of the Pride event, as if that matters, okay, yeah, because the initial reports were that like a van just like ran over some people hit a bunch of people, which is weird to me because I have a little bit of experience driving vans specifically, and I have never known one of these vans to just go off on its own, like usually it requires a human to start it and then like drive it around and point at places and give it gas to make it go forward. But apparently in Germany, first thing I thought, oh, is this like an autonomous van or something like one of these self driving vans and it ran down a whole bunch of people, Like that would be terrible. I mean, it's still terrible. One woman died, dozens more than twenty nine injured. Oh. Also, I'm not sure if the van shot people and attacked them with a machete, but it seems like it probably was. No. There was a driver, right, there was a driver, a follower of the religion of Peace, and was apparently screaming something like loja snack bar. And so we may never know the motive for why this individual driving the van. Turns out the van was innocent in all of this. So that was the big That was the big change. I always tell people, never you know the initial story and the details around breaking news, that like, the details are always going to change, okay, So the very first details that come out probably are not they're not probably they are never one hundred percent accurate, okay. So you always want to be careful in the immediate aftermath of any of these types of breaking news events. So the van, it was not an autonomous man apparently this guy named. Abdul ball out. It's his name. I'm just reading it, ball out b a llout. Yeah, maybe Baalut abdul Balut. Is that it German citizen with Lebanese roots. Oh, he's he's Lebanese. That's why he was at the Pride festival. Is that it? Oh? No, that's sorry, that's different Lebanese different. Sorry, Okay, the suspect is dead. He was killed following a search that lasted nearly twenty four hours after the attack in downtown Berlin. Prosecutors said that he had previously sought to join the militant Islamic State Group. This is the Associated Press version of this story. So ISIS is now referred to as a militant group, the militant Islamic State Group. Why do why do we need to cleanse the language? Like, I know I'm sounding like George Carlin here, but like, why are we trying to to just euphemistic guise, euphemize Why are we trying to euphemize Isis? Did you not see the videos that they that they published of them beheading like a dozen people on a beach, setting guys on fire. Like I think we can pretty well say that it is more than just a militant group, Like a militant group is like I. Don't know, the teachers union. That's I think I'm kidding, not really, but seriously, Like, militant group is a euphemism. Okay, isis is a barbaric Islamic terrorist group. That's what it is. Okay, they're gie hottists. They want to murder all of the infidels, and if there's any doubt whether you're an infidel, they're going to err on the side of the murdering. Okay. Ball Out was suspected of driving a van into a crowd near Berlin's Pride Festival Saturday night, before apparently stabbing others with a machete in what authorities believe was an Islamic extremist terror attack. But they're not sure. We're just we're thinking that might be the reason. Could be. He apparently when confronted by the officers, they found him in like a like a yard or something. I think they call it a garden over there, but maybe it was a garden, I don't know. But they found this guy, like within twenty four hours, they tracked him down and then he ran at the officers with a sharp instrument and police fired at least one shot and he died at the scene. Ballout was born in Germany. His mother naturalized in two thousand and two, three years before he was born. Ball Out apparently also had traveled to Lebanon. I remember he is of Lebanese descent, so he traveled back to Lebanon, where his mom is from or parents are from or whatever, with the goal of going to Syria, which is a very popular vacation destination at the time. You'll recall. He wanted to go to Syria to join ISIS. So it's never the ones you least suspect, you know, it's a. There. He made contact, according to prosecutors, with several people who were presumed members of the militant group, or at least he believed them to be. He was arrested in Lebanon last year and was sentenced by a military court to three months three months he was he got three months in prison for offenses including incitement to religious and sectarian conflict. Okay, that was in Lebanon. He then returns to Germany after completing his three month sentence, and when he returns to Germany, he is arrested at the airport. In May. By the way, ball Out was. Twenty one at the time of his death here over the weekend, So this is what twenty twenty five, he goes to SyRI or goes to Lebanon, wants to go to Syria, gets himself arrested, gets sentenced, serves three months in jail, then he's sent to Germany. And so I'm not sure exactly what the timeline is here, but he's he was twenty one at the time of his death, So he could have been twenty or he could have been nineteen twenty or twenty one, depending on this timeline. Now why am I saying that? Why is this important? Well? Because in May a juvenile court in Berlin convicted him. Okay, juvenile court. He was twenty one this weekend at the time of his death. Why is this guy going through a juvenile court in Berlin? All right? Okay, So from the Associated Press report about this gee hottist in Berlin that attacked the Gay Pride festivities over the weekend, this guy had been arrested in Lebanon for trying to hook up with Isis to join Jihad in Syria. They threw him in jail for like three months. They then sent him back to Germany. Germany then had him in court, but it was at juvenile court. Don't know how old he was, but it would have been either like the youngest he would have been would be nineteen if I'm going back to like the twenty twenty five timeframe, but it doesn't sound like that's the timeframe. But maybe that's they charged him when the initial when his attempts to join jihod you know, occurred, and so maybe that's why. But he would have been nineteen, twenty or twenty one. Okay. He's in juvenile court in Berlin. He is convicted of preparing a serious act of violence and endangering the state, as well as publishing Islamic state propaganda on his Instagram account and other charges. This, according to prosecutors, the. Court sentenced him to one year and ten months in youth custody, but suspended that sentence. So they so he's dangerous enough, or he was guilty enough for them to hand down an almost two year sentence, but they suspended it. So he doesn't have to serve any time. So what does that mean? It means he's walking free. Prosecutors appealed that sentence. The court said that it took ballouts months of pre trial detention in Germany and Lebanon into account. Oh see, so he was he was being held while he was waiting trial, and so all of that time counted. So okay, you're free to go. Now, don't do it again. No more g had for you, ball Out, so said it considered that ball Out had confessed to the crimes and appeared to distance himself from ISIS, and that no actual threat had ever materialized. He was released from detention pending the appeal. Chancellor German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz urged the nation to remain united in the aftermath of the attack while they import more people with the same barbaric ideology. These acts have only one purpose. They aim to divide our society. They want to take away from us the most important thing we have, namely our openness and our freedom, which I thought it was about killing the infidels. I thought that was the point. It's about killing the infidels. So they get the one way ticket to heaven with all of the virgins who become virgins every time after the sex, because apparently that's what they're promised. That's their only form of redemption is to die in g head and then get the seventy two virgins who remain virgins in perpetuity and not really sure what's in it for the women, They get material goods. They get like very nice, luxurious digs. That's what they get in their version of heaven. I guess it's a segregated heaven too, just like their mosques, right, I think that's how the heaven works up for yeah, something like that. Berlin has seen Islamic extremist attacks before. In December twenty sixteen, a rejected asylum seeker from Tunisia hijacked a truck and ran it into a Christmas market, killing thirteen people and injuring dozens more. He was killed days later in a shootout in Italy. And then February last year, a Spanish tourist was stabbed and seriously wounded at Berlin's Holocaust Memorial. I wonder why they chose that site. An attack that saw a Syrian man convicted in March and sentenced to thirteen years. Drew Pavlou points out the insanity of this. Germany identified him as an Islamist threat, so they had him arrested in Lebanon. They flew him back to Germany to put him on trial for plotting terror attacks. He was convicted and sentenced, but then released on time served, so that's why he was back out on the streets. German authorities told him to attend deradicalization counseling sessions. That's why they he responded by attacking the Pride break. This is what you call a known wolf, right, We've heard lone wolf. Oh, it's just a lone wolf, one guy you know, radicalized online, just this lone wolf guy. But a known wolf is a guy that's already on the radar, has already had interactions with law enforcement or intelligence agencies. They've already identified the guy. In Europe since twenty thirteen, deliberate vehicle ramming attacks have killed at least one hundred and sixty six people. Of those, one hundred and forty three were killed by a driver who was from the Middle East or North Africa slash Muslim per capita. That is a floor of ninety four x. It's a floor because the deaths. They can't assign all of the deaths, so they don't know like all of the rammings and such. They can't attribute all of them for all of the deaths. So that's a floor. It's probably higher in another way of looking at it. Six percent of the European population committed eighty six percent of the ramming deaths. From the text line driven by Liberty Buick gmc john says, Pete, your racism is so shocking. I cannot oh sorry, can't you just let these people obey the Koran and kill people that don't believe it's so offensive. I don't know why you don't leave them alone. Islam's not a race. I know. John's being sarcastic there. Yes, this is the uh. Let's not engage in islamophobia. Slamaphobia is not a thing, Okay, it's not a thing, even if you want to say that it is a thing where people are because what is a phobia and irrational fear of something. It's not irrational, and it's not an irrational fear of all Muslims. It is a recognition and an understanding of what the ideology of Islam is. And so I am not surprised when. People who adhere to that ideology, and it is far more than just a religion. It is a totalizing ideology. It is it is religion and state, you know anyway, So like when people who follow the ideology adherently, I'm not surprised that they engage in jihad. In fact, former Muslim who wrote a book called Islam, Israel and the West, best number one best seller, a guy by the name of Dan Bermawi. He's the CEO of the Ideological Defense Institute. And what the IDI does. Their mission is to equip policymakers, the church, and the public to counter ideological threats to Western civilization. The Ideological Defense Institute, and he says, let me tell you and again, he grew up as a Muslim and then became an apostate, left Islam, and I believe he's Christian now he says, let me tell you why a Muslim would drive his car into a crowd of innocent people. It doesn't matter if you're a Muslim or not. We as human beings carry guilt deep inside of us. We know we are not good enough, and we spend our life trying to redeem ourselves through good deeds, thinking it will make the suffocating guilt go away. Christianity offers a way out of guilt, a solution not based on your works, but on Christ's. Salvation is not earned, it's given. You accept that you cannot redeem yourself because Christ already did everything on your behalf, and that means you are free, free to live, free to build, free to serve, free to love. Islam, on the other hand, does not offer redemption. It weaponizes guilt instead of providing salvation. Allah exposes you, holds your sins over your head, and threatens you with hell, fire and torture in the grave. The Koran is a book of threats. It bullies Muslims into obedience through fear, humiliation, and punishment. So what happens when a Muslim seeks redemption? Right, they try to be better Muslims. They pray, they fast, give to charity, go on the hodge rite, the pilgrimage. They do everything that Allah commands, but it never works. He says, I know because I did all of it. No matter how much you pray, no matter how much you tried, the guilt never goes away because deep down every Muslim knows it's really not enough. Allah always demands more. But Allah loves those who die fighting against the infidels. I mean, at least according to the guy who claimed to speak for a law who also claimed to have been attacked by a demon. But then his friends were like, no, no, no, that was an angel. That was probably God. Who I thought it was a demon that was trying to rape me? No, no, no, that was God. Hmm. Okay. Allah always demands more. Allah loves those who die fighting against the infidels. And it's not an opinion. It's in the Qoran, in hadith, in every lesson taught to children. This is why Muslims, even so called moderate Muslims, always hesitate to condemn terrorism, because they know jihad is required by Allah. They may not be willing to commit it themselves, but they can't say it's wrong. So when a Muslim fails to reach peace through religious rituals. They have two choices, give up stop being devout, just learn to live with the guilt, or commit to jihad because that's the only way to be true to yourself. The Qoran commands quote, kill those who do not worship Allah or obey the prophet seems pretty clear. So when a Muslim embraces this identity fully killing infidels isn't just justified, it's joyful. It's an act of saving yourself. It's an act of obeying a llaw. It's an act of securing your eternity and finally escaping the crushing weight of guilt. This is why a Muslim can drive his car into a crowd of innocent people, because, for the first time in his life, he finally believes he has done something worthy of redemption. See, so it's not a phobia, it's a recognition. Islamafo a is a term, believe coined by the Muslim Brotherhood folks in the aftermath of nine to eleven. They started using this word in order to shut down any criticism of them. Right, that's the point. If you start wondering. Hey, what's this passage here where it says kill everybody that doesn't worship a law or obey the profit, Like, what's up with that? Like, shut up, islamophobeh ah, you're racist, You're a bigot. Shut up. Beware of any ideology or philosophy or idea that cannot be challenged. As I always say, unchallenged ideas are easy to hold. If nobody is ever pushing back on this stuff. Something you you know, an opinion you have and you never get any pushback, that's really easy to hold that idea, even if it's completely wrong. But beware of the ideologies that don't allow first anybody to leave them. That's a cult, but also that don't allow anybody to question them, to challenge them. A message from Kevin the fake Republican on the text line, Kevin not MAGA sixty six six. What is that a license plate? Magas sixty sixty six But anyway, barbaric, terrorist, Islamic just words. Yes, I use those words to describe isis damn. I don't know. Maybe Kevin the. Totally true conservative Republican. I'm sure he has different words to describe isis. Like if you, dude, if your hatred of Donald Trump has blinded you to what isis is seek help you are suffering from Trump derangement syndrome. Okay, now I use Trump derangement syndrome to describe people who go too far the other direction as well, people who you know, love Trump so much they basically have deified him or reiffied him either way. That's not healthy either. So if you cannot discern the difference right between isis and Donald Trump, then you lack discernment. That's like what the word is for. It's to actually help you differentiate between these two things. Kevin says, when you murder people, the terms you use doesn't matter. That's actually not true. There are all sorts of different terms used for killing people. For a read, like in law, there are different degrees of murder because not all killings are the same. Like, for example, if the state executes somebody via capital punishment, that's not considered to be murder. If I plan. And then perpetrate a killing in order to you know, collect insurance money or exact revenge or something like that, that's also different than if I'm you know, driving down the road and accidentally run somebody over. That's a different kind of killing. There are different kinds of murders that's why we call them first degree, second degree, third degree, we have manslaughter. Right. There are all different terms that we use to differentiate what. Intent circumstances. Right, just like when Trump killed two hundred schoolgirls in Iran, they call him a child killer. Right. So so here's a really good way. This is a good example. This is a teachable moment. Okay, it's a very good example that we can use to juxtapose Isis versus Donald Trump. Okay, so let's take this example. This is obviously about the girls school that was hit in the initial days of the Iran war. Right, Why was the school hit? Do you ever notice people don't talk about why the school got hit. It's because it had facilities that were believed to be Iranian regime like military installations. Now, I've seen reports either way, and you know, information is kind of spotty coming out of Iran, and I would just caution against trusting anything that the IRGC D is pushing out there as fact. It may not be completely accurate coming from the IRGC. You know what about Trump, Well, you can whatever skepticism you have of Donald Trump apply that also to the IRGC. Now I know that that means that you're going to be hard pressed to come to a definitive conclusion for your opinion, right, because if you don't trust anybody, then you don't know what's going on. And it's hard to form an opinion and be strident about it and to know what's going on because you can't trust anybody. So I get it it's going to hamstring you a little bit, but I would submit you should not apply or you should not convey more trust to the IRGC than you do the American government. If you believe the American government Donald Trump is lying to you all the time, there's no reason that that then means that the IRGC is telling you the truth all the time. They can both be lying, right. So anyway, it was believed that this facility was either I've seen multiple reports either way on this and I don't know, but they bombed a facility that either used to be used by the IRGC and then was converted into a school or it was still or it was a school, but it was also housing IRGC embattlements. Right, They had like there were barracks or guard towers or something. I forget what it was, but there there was IRGC stuff there. And then I saw a report. Oh it could have been outdated information. The IRGC moved out of it, and then they moved a girls school into it. Whatever, But that would be a mistaken target. See, that's not the same as going into a village or something, kidnapping a bunch of people, taking them to a beach and sawing their heads off on camera. Do you see the difference. I understand that all of the victims end up dead. I do understand that, but there is a difference in motive and circumstances, right, and if you cannot discern that, then kindly stay off my text line. All right, that'll do it for this episode.
