Our number three And as we do on Mondays at two pm, we speak with ap Dylon. She is the publisher of the More to the Story newsletter over on substack and a reporter for the North State Journal nsjonline dot com. Ap, how are you? Do you have a good weekend? I did, Pete? Thanks, how were yours? I was all right? Yes, it was good administrative. I did a lot of paperwork this weekend. So good time. Yeah, you know, I know how to I know how to have a good time. So let's uh, let's start with a story. And I covered some of this last week when the news broke. It was about Congressman Chuck Edwards who was at a Rotary Club regional conference and he was essentially accosted by somebody in the audience on his way out of the event after he spoke, and the McClatchy papers did a write up on this. So you then have a piece about this at more to the story and your headline on it. I don't want to start with the headline. You say, another just a protester media moment. Okay, explain explain what that headline means just a protester media moment. Well, the media tends to anonymize folks that they use for the sources in their stories or individuals that are being reported on their stories. For example, you know, one of the major participants in a major protest in Washington, DC during the COVID shutdowns happened to be, you know, the head of the teachers and they didn't they leave that out. It's you know, it was you know, Sarah Why from New Mexico. They don't say that she's the head of the teachers union there, so it sort of leaves the context on the floor that this person isn't exactly. You know, in the story, by accident, a dispassionate observer or something, right, right, So this is what this was the treatment that they gave to Guy Gooder and like he I don't even understand. Oh well, he was an ear witness. He wasn't even an eyewitness. He claims in the story that he didn't even see the alleged assault by Chuck Edwards on this anonymous rotary club person. Which that's another thing, like, don't tell me. You can't find out who this rotary club member was, right, somebody knows who it was, and they're not coming forward with their story. So why not? Why are we not identifying the guy that cussed out Chuck Edwards and then Chuck Edwards allegedly hit him with a clipboard or a binder or a file folder or a piece of paper or something like. And nobody else saw there was there were no other witnesses to this event. Yeah, there was. There was no other witnesses. It was just this one person. And you know, you can tell by the vibe in the story that I'll give them credit for that. It makes it very clear that Goodor doesn't like Edwards, right like Trump doesn't like Elon Musk. And you know, I so it took me about two seconds to go and look this guy up and look at a social media and the most The very first public post on this Facebook page is at a giant indicte elon picture that has the Antifa ANTIFAXUS action tag. I'm like, how did the reporter not go look at this person social media? You know, I mean people are going to look him up. It just makes you look stupid. That's the first thing that you do. And as a reporter, whenever you're doing a story, like, first thing is go check social media, find their file. Yeah, exactly, you look into who your who your source actually is. But you know that doesn't seem to have been the case here. And you know, I found Instagram posts that were that were similar. There was a meme of President Trump's smugshot on his Instagram and his sole comment with it was Saint cheese. Right. So I mean, clearly the guy has anti Trump sentiments, anti Republican sentiments. And Chuck Edwards keeps going out and doing these events in Asheville. I think he might be thinking twice about the Asheville events in the future. He's trying to connect with constituents, but he's getting hammered for it. You also, yeah, because you did the story at North State Journal about the the last we did a town hall and that and some video of some you know, quote veteran stood up and just you know, cust them out in all of this, and that story went national. It did, It did, And it wasn't until after, well after the fact, when the first headlines were out in the video was out, that it came up that this individual had run in the Democratic primary to up to run against Edwards in twenty twenty two, and that his wife and here both part of local Democratic Party chapter in the next county over, and his wife is actually good chair of that chapter. Yeah, Henderson County Democrat Party chair. His wife. This guy's name is Jay Carey. He was the guy that stood up and you know, screened vulgarities at Chuck Edwards and went viral for it. Yeah, So you know, there's always more to the story there on that one. So to speak. Anytime you see you know, just just a citizen or a mom from so and so, or you know a man from you know, a Maryland man. Have you see that in there, you need to take a look at the person's name and then go look him up and see what they're not leaving. What they're leaving out of the story. Pretty much. Yeah, what we would call context details background. Yeah, and then also you quote our pal cacoday. He does mornings up in Raleigh, in Greensboro, and so you you joined him at what last week, I guess, and he said that Democrats are trying to Bobby Ethridge him. What was that? Well, I don't know if a lot of folks remember this. Back in twenty ten, Bob Ethridge was walking along the side walks in DC and a couple of students came up and ambush questioned him. They were doing some kind of you know, school projects for their college class or whatever, and they asked him a couple of questions, and he whirled around on him and you know, started asking who are you? Who are you and like basically man handling the kid who was trying to ask him the questions, literally grabbing him and putting him, putting his arm around him and everything and not letting him move. And that moment went viral, and that eventually led to Renee Elmer's the Republican on seating him that year. Well, it's one of the rules for radicals, right, The action is in your opponent's reaction. You want to get them to do something. So that's what they're kind of doing there with with Edwards. You know, they've hit him two or three times. The class has done two or three different hits on where it's lately it's clear that they want to try to put pressure there because he is a Republican who has partly blue district. Well, but this has always been a pipe dream of the lefties out in western North Carolina. They think that you know, Asheville, because it's so blue, they think that the entire district can go for a Democrat. There are not enough Democrats out there that you could pack into a district. You would have to jerry mander it all the way to Boone, you know, and then they would be fine with that too. Like it's always like the the irony of the you know, fair maps crowd that that somehow want to construct this district so Asheville can have its own congressional seat, even though it's like only like ninety thousand people. Yeah, there are not enough. There are not enough Democrats out there to make that a blue district. But it's it's their dream. It's their dream, and I don't want to crush their dream. Speaking of Western Carolina, Western Carolina Universe, you're right about this at North State Journal NSJ online dot com. The US Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights has now opened a Title nine investigation into Western Carolina University. So what is this about, Well, this is about men and women's spaces, and it's going on to talk about how they've employed certain policies there that have allowed for men and women's spaces, and the ocr press release quotes incredible sources literally in quotations that the school allowed a male to room with a female and a girls dormitory, as well as a free speech issue regarding a Title nine investigation and deformed student Peyton McNabb now Peyton McNabb was the young lady who from Hawassi Dam High School was injured in a volleyball game by a transgender athlete. He spiked the ball into her head and she's still got neurological damage from that. She was President Trump's special guest when he gave his joint remarks in front of Congress earlier this year. So that's what that's looking into. And I have a feeling that we're going to see we're going to see some action on that front. So they are sort of a warning shot across the bow of other UNC System schools. So Western Western Carolina is investigating Peyton McNabb. Yeah, they did. She apparently encountered a man in a women's bathroom and she whipped out her phone, started recording and very politely asked him to leave the space. She didn't feel comfortable. She wanted to leave the space. That individual reported at the university. They got the video, and the university even said, you know, I don't think we're going to do anything with this. She was very polite about it and you know this, we're just not going to go forward with it. But they did open an investigation. Door. She's now left that school and she's she's working with Independent Women's Forum with Riley Gaines. The swimmer who swimmer also and she came and helped convince our legislature to pass the Fairness in Women's Sports Act as well. Okay, so the Department of Education has opened an investigation into the policies at Western Carolina about men and women's spaces, but also to investigate the investigation of Peyton McNabb to look at why they initiated that. Yeah, I think that they're going to draw that into that. M M. At least that's what it seems from the press release, because it does mention her, and actually she is quoted directly in their press release about her incident. There, she's quoted as saying, in addition to my experience discovering a male and women's restroom on campus, men who self identify as transgender are entering other women's intimate spaces like restrooms, dorms, and locker rooms. Female college students will not to igly buy as men take over our spaces. I'm thankful to have an administration that will stand up for us. So she's quoted right in the OCR press release. Yeah, all right, Well, I know you'll keep us updated on all of this. You can keep track of ap Dyllon's work at nsjonline dot com. Thanks again to ap Dylan from North State Journal and more to the story or Substack newsletter. She does something actually called notes like little quick hits blurbs if you will, and she did yesterday. She talked about in one of her notes about the release of the audio of the deposition of Joe Biden by Special Counsel Robert Hurr. I played two clips of it in the last hour, and she wrote about this. Biden's cognitive decline on display in video of interview with her. Now a couple things. The House Oversight Committee had demanded access to the audio of the interview after they were only given a transcript. The committee issued a subpoena for the tapes. The Biden DOJ refused to comply. That was under Merrick Garland refusing to comply with a subpoena, And that is, as I pointed out, I think David Strowm at hot air dot Com noted that that's precisely what Merrick Garland's DOJ prosecuted Steve Bannon for. Following the story's release on Friday by Axios with the audio and video I guess. Representative James Comer, Republican from Kentucky, is the chairman of the Oversight Committee, put out a press release saying the committee will investigate the cover up of Biden's mental decline, as well as Biden's use of the auto pen to sign legislation and scores of pardons in his final days as president. Now, look, I have no idea what the remedy is for any of this stuff. Like if you are if you are not able to sign legal documents and you do, they they are nullified. Right if they can prove that you were not of sound mind when you signed the document, then your signature is invalidated. What happens if that's the case here, I have no idea, Like this is part of the it's part of the problem, like you see it now. Also, oh, I saw Trump the Trump White House. The Supreme Court just ruled in his favor on a lower court injunction that blocked the revocation of parole status for illegal aliens that came in under the app and they got this parole status that was given to them, I would submit illegally by Alejandro Majorcis, the Homeland Security Secretary, parole was supposed to be done something on it's supposed to be a process that's done on an individual basis, right, And he just blanket paroled everybody. But they called it temporary, and so the Trump administration said, Okay, well we're rescinding it, and they got sued and they were blocked by a lower court and the Supreme Court eight to one said no, you can actually unwind that. So this is part of the problem, like how do you address And I've heard the Democrats making this argument that, oh, well, you know, we let in ten million through no real process, but in order to get rid of those ten million that came in illegally, then you have to run them all through trials or something. So you create this burden on the government to try to deport the people who were allowed to come in illegally. Yeah. So I don't know if we find out that caring Jean Pierre was out there with the autopen signing all of this stuff, or Hunter Biden right, he was using Dad's autopen to sign legislation. Like then, what do all of those laws become null and void? What kind of impact does that have? I mean, get how do you get the money back that's already been spent. Yeah, it's gonna be a mess. It's going to be a mess. And remember this was done because the people around Joe Biden wanted power to do precisely what they did, and all of the Democrats and media, but I repeat myself, they were playing along because they enjoyed the results. They supported the results. Look at Joe Biden, everything that he's done. He's fantastic, he's amazing. He can get the job done, even if he's not, you know, with it for twenty two hours a day, but he can get the job done. So there are a couple of ways. Ap Dillon wrote about this the her tape. There are a couple of ways to look at the story, she says, and these options are not mutually exclusive. Okay, so it could be summer, all right. So One, it's pure promotional fodder for Alex Thompson's book that he wrote with Jake Tapper. Right that Axios got this, that's why this stuff came out. Number Two, it's a clearing out of deadly topics for Democrats well ahead of the twenty twenty six midterms. Right, and this is a tactic. If you got some bad scandal, whatever, you want that out early, and then you can say on the campaign trail, well, we already addressed all that, that's old news. We already put all of that to bed. In the same vein, it's a way to either purge or weaken certain Democrats before twenty twenty six. Pay attention to which Democrats the media is chasing for comment on this story, like Chuck Schumer for example. Right, so now you're like, well, with her audio, he sounded terrible in twenty twenty three, but Chuck you were saying that he's fine in twenty four. What gives? And how Chuck's like, oh, let's just move on. And also, finally, with the Trump administration in control of the top law enforcement agencies, it really was just a matter of time before this audio got out. Still, I think it's very important to find out who leaked it to Axios. All Right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. Let me get to some of the messages. In the first hour, we were talking about Joe Biden's announcement that he has prostate cancer and that it has metastasized into his bones. I believe that's stage four. It's I mean, and it's sad, and like I can wish the best for them at a personal level, which I do. Cancer sucks, But that does not mean that I stop talking about the biggest political scandal in my lifetime and quite possibly American history, which is the covering up of Joe Biden's mental decline. And now I'm being asked to just believe the Biden's about his health conditions when that's precisely what you lied about for the last four years. So no, I don't trust you. So and that's where I'm coming at this from. I'm going to talk about the story and I separate that from the diagnosis that they announced. This from good Wahoo, who says people may laugh at Biden's mental state and even revel some in corrupt Biden inc Now facing financial hardship, but people also seem to be not comprehending the gravity of what actually happened. The presidency was being run by and major national security issues decided by faceless and unelected individuals, most probably at the direction of Obama and his handlers and their minions that were placed in the Biden White House. Given the absolute lawlessness of some of these decisions, like unvetted mass migration via wide open borders and the national security implications of that. This is one of the most serious acts of lawlessness this country has ever seen. Given the number of bad actors and terrorists allowed in. This could be prosecuted as treason. If people are not held accountable and prosecuted for this, we are not a serious country anymore. And that's why I am not going to stop talking about Biden's mental decline, his cognitive function decline, and the people that covered it up. It's not about the decline. It's not about Biden's health anymore. It's not about him. It's about the people around him that protected their own access to power to do stuff that they did not have the power to do. Let me see, uh may go to some of the well, I'll go to these tweets. These are pete tweets. Let's see, Alan just said they avoided unwinding a twenty twenty election that was at least as suspect as Joe Biden's sound mind. We are going to need to do the hard thing at some point or this country will not survive. Eric says, I don't think the Biden audio was leaked. I saw quite a bit of reporting heading into the weekend that the audio would be released and Axios would get access first. Yeah, I did not see that, so but again I was checked out on Saturday, so I that very well could have happened. And I don't know why the DJ would hand it off to Axios first. Why wouldn't you just do just a public release of the audio on your website and give it to everybody all at the same time. If the pardon isn't valid, if any pardons aren'tvalid, right, the next logical step is prosecution of Biden's Auto Pen associates. Yeah, so, like I got to believe that whoever was running the auto pen probably got themselves a pardon, right If you're I mean, if you're going to be signing a whole bunch of pardons on the way out the door, right, why wouldn't you cover yourself? So I would start there. Everybody that got a pardon that worked in the Biden camp, I think every one of those people, Like, that's what you should start talking to. Gary says, from a personal perspective, you have a wife and son that were willing to abuse Joe to maintain power and money. It's evil, and said I'm not sure how much his daughter has to do with the family, but those close to the power acted completely out of self interest and for power. Yeah, I agree. American Sly says, Joe Biden receives the finest healthcare of the world can provide. This didn't just pop up. Besides, Joe Biden told the world that he had cancer back in twenty twenty two. His mother had to use to wipe oil off of the windshield. Remember that story that he told And he said that's how he got cancer and all his friends got cancer. Remember that? And people were like, wait, what did Joe Biden just say he had cancer? And the of course, you know, the Praetorian Guard closed his ranks. No, no, no, he just misspoke. All that's just old Joe with his stutter and his malapropisms, you know. Yeah, because here's another one from Jeff. Didn't Biden say that he had cancer? And they told us it was a gaff that he made while speaking. Also, prostate cancer can explain a lot of his cognitive state, like some elderly people act when getting a uti HM. Then there's at Patriot girl who says, if Biden was just diagnosed with stage four metastatic cancer, his entire prostate would be cancerous. There's no way. They just found one nodule, which is what they said. They found one nodule on was it like a week ago, and then they got the diagnosis Friday, I think is what they said in their statement. I got emails. Now, let's move to the email. John says, if they decide that Joe Biden was not mentally capable of signing the pardons and laws that his staff used the auto pen on and they are null and void, shouldn't that also apply to his judicial appointments. These are lifetime judges. Oh that's a good one, John. Yeah, he put a he put a justice on the US Supreme Court. Right, does that go away? We're in unchartered territory here, and just if I have to make a prediction, and I'm loathed to do that, you know, but I would predict that nothing gets unwound, nobody is held accountable, nobody is prosecuted, and everybody gets to keep their appointments. I kind of feel like that's what would happen. Dennis says, as a fond listener of your show, I must agree with your take on this Biden cancer news. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with two separate types of throat cancers, one on my vocal cords and the other in lymph nodes in my neck. Luckily, surgery got rid of one for now, and the vocal cord one has remained dormant. At seventy six years old, I get scanned every three months. In Biden's case, I agree with you that his cancer diagnosis has nothing to do with all the scams he and his troops have perpetuated prior to now. I feel sympathy for anybody with cancer, but that doesn't change the rest of the story. Yeah, and That's where I'm at. And well, I'm glad to hear that you've seen some success in the treatments there, Dennis. And one of the takeaways that I have today is I think I need to get blood work done like every three months, just to test my PSA levels, like from until I die. I kind of feel like that's a lesson from the show today. I got more emails. We will get to them, all right. So spring is here a time of renewal and celebrations. Back to the inbox we go again. I'd let these build up too long, I apologize, but we had a lot to get to. We had a lot of callers to in the first couple of hours, So that's why that's my excuse for why I didn't get to the emails. This is from Nathaniel. Trump is reversing everything Biden did by as many executive orders. So why is Congress again wasting precious congressional legislative time investigating what Trump has already reversed or Musk has already ended. It would seem a better use of time trying to improve the US instead of reliving the past. Well, because you get the you do the congressional action in order to codify law. You don't want. I do not want to be constantly swinging back and forth between Democrat and Republican presidents that are undoing the last ones executive orders. You know, so yes, undo the executive order, but then Congress needs to act to codify things that were done by executive order. They need to pass them into law. Unless there's a specific example that I'm missing. Nathaniel Seth says Pete. He subject line is cancer sucks. He literally told us he had cancer from that oil slick on the windshield. Where was that, Scranton. Nobody took him seriously because of all the constant lying. Maybe that was a lie too that turned into reality. Either way, I feel bad for him. I wish him nothing but comfort and survival. Susan says, Pete, I am probably thirty years older than you are, lived through Watergate and all of the assassinations. This is the most frightening scandal though in my lifetime. Seems a pervasive evil has penetrated our state and federal government so deeply we may have already lost our constitutional republic. I pray we have not. Tom said is this enough? Is enough? Subject line, Pete, It's better for us to believe the facts that are coming out now instead of listening to your conspiracy theories, which just diminish the facts and make people believe no one. That's weird because like all I've been doing is going over the facts of what we know. Again, if your argument or your narrative is predicated on me believing the bidens on the honesty of their health reporting, then you've lost me because I do not, because the facts are obvious, and they become more and more obvious as you know, democrats awaken from their slumber of the last five years and realize, oh, you know what, Yeah, we probably should have we probably should have covered that. Yeah we probably shouldn't have covered it up. You know. Yeah, come to think of it, Joe Biden was not fit for office, and I could have invoked the twenty fifth Amendment, but I didn't. You know, like, that's no, You're not going to win me over with your narrative if I have to believe the Biden's on their health announcements, and Pete writes in Pete Scott Adams, I mentioned this in the first hour as well. The creator of the Dilbert comic strip. He just announced that he also has stage four prostate cancer that has gone into his bones, and he said that he does not expect to live past this summer. Pete then also says about the autopen that he's calling it Susan Rice and near A Tandon, that they control it. I don't know. I don't know who controlled it, but we need to know who who had the autopen. This from Jennifer. My husband, Corey's diagnosis is exactly the same as Biden's. At his last physical his PSA count was still in the normal range three point eight and his doctor did not do a physical prostate exam, but he should have. Five months later, he was diagnosed with stage four metastasized into the bone. They said aggressive, fast growing cancer. So it is possible, but I'm with you, I don't believe they just found it. Either they lied about it for four years or longer, or they just made the entire thing up to distract from his dementia. And this is I threw this out there. Also, maybe this is what that guy Tom was saying about my conspiracy theories, was that Joe bo Biden was going down to his beach house in Delaware like every other weekend, remember, for a long period of time, three four days stints. And is it possible that he was going down there to get treatments? That's possible. Again, I'm starting from a position that I don't believe the Bidens, So when they tell me something, I don't believe them. And so I look at other pieces of information and I say, is it possible that this? Yeah, sure, it's possible. Is it a theory? Sure? Is it a conspiracy theory? I guess it would be. Although we do know that there was a conspiracy, as Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson are putting in their book, there was a conspiracy. Of course, they grant anonymity to all of these people, which actually doesn't hold anybody accountable because you gave them anonymity. That's the exact opposite of accountability. Everybody wants to blame each other so they don't get held to account. Brionna Lyman over at Time the Federalist. She says, the truth is the book Original Sin that's coming out tomorrow does not expose the cover up. It extends it. By letting Biden's inner circles speak anonymously, Tapper and Thompson ensure that the public remain in the dark while the guilty remain untouchable. Biden's cancer announcement merely reveals that the deception was much deeper than anyone thought, and Tapper and Thompson's book merely proves the cover up is still alive and well, and they are still a part of it until we see medical records or something. I don't even know. I don't even know who I expect, well, I do, actually I do. Let me say I know. The House Oversight Committee needs to drag all of these people from the Biden administration to their hearings, and they need to put them under oath, and they need to get questions answered and find out who knew what and when did they know it, who was in charge of the auto pen and all of the stories like we saw at the Daily Beast that Republicans are pouncing. Literally they use the word pounce. Mago World pounced on the news of Joe Biden's cancer with wild speculation about a long term cover up, right because there was a long term cover up of Biden's declining mental ability. There was a cover up there that is now widely known and accepted. Is it that big of a stretch to say, you know what, maybe there were other health ailments that he was dealing with that they also covered up. Why wouldn't they? That's not a stretch. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast, so if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here. You can also become a patron at my Patreon page or go to dpetekallanershow dot com. Again, thank you so much for listening, and don't break anything while I'm gone.
