Done a lot of work and ready over the years, and even owned the station for a while. Talk radio is a format that whose demise has been predicted time and again for the past thirty years, and yet a station like WBT continues to just do a bang up job. Now, having said all that, I did mention right before the break that the case against James Comy had been dropped, and it's dropped in a funny way. It's a very political way of looking for a federal judge dismissed the indictments not just against Komy, but also or Attorney General Letitia James Monday. Not because the case didn't have merit, not because the facts were wrong, just because the judge felt that the appointment of Interim US Attorney Lindsay Halligan was invalid. So the judge didn't feel that the attorney bringing the case had validity, not that the information that the Justice Department had was not good. The Trump had hand picked Halligan for the role limit increasing pressure to bring criminal cases against See this is CNN's version of things. Trump picked her to bring criminal cases against his political enemies. And that's not true. I mean, James, if James coming, this is so weird. Leatitia James is the first one to say, no, one's above the law, and she broke the law, which it looks like clearly she did, especially of these mortgage fraud cases. That's not going after your political enemies. It's going after criminal activity. And James coming lying before Congress isn't because he's a political enemy. He lied before Congress. If he was part of crossfire hurricane and making up stuff and using his office to go after a political guy, he very well could have broken the law. But CNN, again, this is where they just can't help. That's a news story in which they're saying it's going after political enemies. Now come, he's not running for political office. Letitia James is Attorney General in New York. It's not about increasing pressure, it's about did she break the law? She's the one. They're the ones going out saying no one's above the law that includes them. So the judge tossed out the cases without prejudice, which means that the cases against Comben James can be brought again alleging the same conduct, and it will. Those cases are just not going to go away. Just worth mentioning. I will revisit the Charlie Sheen stuff, not right now, because I want to continue with the kind of discussion we've been having on here. H interesting about where this stuff is, but we want to continue the discussion about your neighbors and stuff, and the comfort with which both media, how easy it is to gravitate toward what looks to be an easy way out of things. You know, the affordability crisis. Will just make houses more affordable, okay, food deserts and food and people. We'll just make free grocery, government run grocery stores. But it doesn't that sound like why hadn't anyone ever thought of that before? Make more affordable houses, okay, easy, let's go build them. Let's go make grocery stores and fill them with products so that we can feed everybody. And if you make something, nothing will create price problems, quite like making everything free and affordable. Right. But this is it's a I'm gonna say this socialist and socialism has the same appeal that a good mafia boss does in a given neighborhood. And I say that because you know John Gotti and all these mafia king If you look at there, there's all of these stories about them, hey pulling up a truck and giving away turkeys at Thanksgiving, and the neighborhood just loves them. Oh, dapardah, we love our turkeys. Or in South America, you go to Colombia. Look at what Pablo Escobar. He built schools, he built affordable housing, He built lots of stuff for the poor. He even got elected to congress or the parliament or whatever in Mediine. Eventually got thrown out, and he killed the people who threw him out because he's a drug kingpin and they they're psychopaths, and he was a psychopath and he's killed people. He disagreed with silver led I mean silver, you know, silver or lead. Yeah, that was his policy. I can pay you off or I can kill you your choice. But socialism has the same appeal that a mafia boss does. You like him because he's not killing your family, he's not taking your money. He's taking someone else's money and killing other people. And socialism does the same thing. It takes from other people and gives And if you're the one receiving it, you think socialism has this strange, wonderful appeal that's just not real. Nothing has killed more people from a government standpoint the history of mankind than socialism. But somehow, somehow, kids get through school and go to college and come out thinking, Ah, if only Cuba had done it different, if only Venezuela, if only the Russians had done it different, if only the Chicoms did it different, then it'd be perfect. If we can just tweak it just a little bit, and don't pretend that shades of gray into the leftist way of looking at things makes it better because it because it doesn't. The left is just, you know, and sadly the mainstream political left in this country. The Democrats are marching in that direction, not away from it. But by no measure would you say that the leftists are marching more towards the center. There may be a few centrist left, but not many because the popular, the popular left right now, the mom Donni's, the AOCS, the Bernie Sanders Is, they're marching left. Gavin Newsom is about the prettiest face you can put on a leftist. But he's struggling now because he he wants, he needs to appeal to the base, and the base is decidedly left of where I think he would be more comfortable being. And these policies in california've been horrific, but he you know what he's going to He's going to have a lot of support. Very charismatic, very good at speaking, very good at pushing things off to other people, not accepting blaming the Palisades fire. You look at the number of permits that have been issued by California to rebuild, and it's an emic at best. But I digress. The mafia and the political left from a policy standpoint, are not that far apart. The difference being and I guess unless you're Clinton conspiracists, the difference being typically they're not going to take up guns and shoot you, not not yet anyway, twenty years if they become socialist yeah, they just line you up and shoot you like they did in Russia. Socialism always leads to that. It always leads to just dispersing, you know, disposing of your political enemies because you can't you can't win the argument against them, You just kill them. That's what you need to make them disappear, like the mafia does. The mafia just makes inconveniences disappear. So so next time you know, you hear these socialists, you think in terms of mafia, think in terms of the way they operate, because they're not that different. And earlier we had talked about the government solutions. You know, the Affordable Care Act wasn't. Inflacial Reduction Act wasn't and producing you know, even the fifty year welfare fifty plus year welfare state hasn't worked out. And when your next door neighbors believe that, it makes it increasingly difficult because they hate Trump so bad that they've abandoned the ability to debate issues. And that's where our country needs to be. We are a country that likes to debate issues. We should. There's a there is an absolute mental need for our nation to begin discussing big things, and not just because one side hates one person. You know that that's nothing productive. I hope and it is my hope, thought and prayer, indeed and everything as we head through the season, that more of us start, especially I mean on the right certainly, but on the left as well, that they start realizing, you know, this hatred of one person isn't isn't producing anything good for the country. You know, stories are powerful. They help us make sense of things, to understand experiences. Stories connect us to the people of our past while transcending generations. Visit creative video dot Com. And there's just a lot. There's always so much going on. I don't know if many of you were aware of the recent Kurf fluffel involving a bunch of Democrats including Mark Kelly and Center slogan saying that you know, hey, you military folks, you should defy orders because it's your constitutional duty to defy illegal orders from your commander in chief. This is the kind of rampant hatred and Trump derangements that the left gen's up without knowledge, without knowing if it's true or not, just saying it. It's kind of like the mom Donnie Trump Meetia in the White House when the media, I guess they thought they're gonna have a gotcha moment and they asked one, I'm done to me? It was you know, it was oft replayed, but it was a it was a it was a great moment that it was illustrative of how the president acts and how Mom Donnie acts. The president doesn't have isn't consulting the polls. He likes to talk about it, but he's not. Look, he's he's an after pole guy. So he says stuff and then the poles react to him. But they asked him, hey, didn't you call the president a fascist? And blah blah blah, a bunch of more stuff, but a fascist, how do you want to address that? And Mom Donnie's instinct, instinctuol thing was to instantly deflect and try to go into a different discussion, right, to steer away from the quest. Don't answer the question. Answer the question you want to answer, not what was asked of you. He started to try, and Trump interrupted before it even got, you know, ten words deep, and just said, hey, you know, just yeah, you did, and it's okay. It's it's easier than trying to explain your answer. There's a classic Trump moment where he just preempted the entire discussion about whether Mom Donnie called Trump a fascist, which you did, and and deflated what was an apparent attempt to get them to turn on each other and even get the president to turn on Mom Donnie, which it wasn't the place or time to do that. They had a meeting. Trump wants New York to be great again. Obviously, Mom Donnie got elected. How do you make those two, you know, get along. You know, where you disagree, you defund I mean if Trump says, hey, you're going to cut and cut and cut the police department, We're not going to help you do that. There's It didn't change the relative power of either office. The mayor has certain powers. The state of New York has powers, and the federal government has powers. That's America's largest city or second largest, depending on how you measure things. But there's a lot of work that needs to be done and they have to find and so the cooperative spirit was good. Mam Donnie tried to portray it as I told the President how things are and Trump said, yeah, we'll see. Trump didn't go afrom or attacking. I thought it was pretty classy, but I digress. I want to go back to the Slotkin thing. Elisis Slotkin a Democrat from Michigan. So she was one of the Democrats that last week had this video telling troops to defy their orders from their commander and chief, their commanders, their generals, whatever, the colonels, whoever's commanding them, because they are try They asserted that Trump was giving them unconstitutional orders, so that you knew there was going to come a time where somebody was going to have the wherewithal to ask They ask them, can you tell us what those unconstitutional orders were? And they did, and so it was just kind of a pathetic story. So Senator to Slockin from Michigan admitted that she was not a way her words, not mine, of whether President Trump had issued any illegal orders to the military. Following backlash to a controversial video that she posted, she faced questions during an interview on Sunday on ABC's This Week. By the way, I have noticed a shift in the tone of ABC News's coverage of things, doesn't mean that George Stephanopolis is still not, you know, an absolute tool of propaganda from the left, or the view is not of myopica. God, I don't even know what's channel they're on. But don't pretend that the legacy media isn't dying on the vine right now. But ABC is at least acting acting as if, you know, hey, maybe there's some legitimate questions that need to be asked. So Slockin's on Sunday on ABC's This Week about what she wrote, do you believe President Trump has issued any illegal orders? Martha Raddits, who by the way, hates Trump, and Slochin said, to my knowledge, to my knowledge, I am not aware of things that are illegal, but certainly there are some legal gymnastics that are going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related to Venezuela. So, in other words, no, you can dice, you can slice the dice and twist and turn all you want to, but she's the one doing jim nat. She said, legal gymnastics. The gymnastics are in her answer. Her answer is a complete backflip. Are there any illegal orders? You said in a video to disobey illegal orders? And she's asked point blank, We're there illegal orders? And she says, to my knowledge, I'm not aware of things that are illegal, but there are some legal gymnastics. In other words, no, the answer is no. Rabbits pressed for specific accusations, and slocking pointed to her concern over Trump deploying National Guard troops. When you look at those videos coming out of places like Chicago, it makes me incredibly nervous that we are about to see people in law enforcement, people in the uniform military, get nervous, get stressed. It is very very stressful situation for these law enforcement officers and for the communities. That's not true. I mean there's just making up stuff, just completely made up. She has nothing to go on, zero facts. I think it was just it was just a statement. Widely, we say very quickly into all folks who come to us, this is a process. Go to your jag officer, ask them for explanation, for top cover, for the view on things. You know what, the military doesn't work that way. One, it's a meritocracy, and if you don't obey orders, they arrest you. You agree, that is that the military completely functions. Only because of that, you say, hey, we're gonna go invade that beach. Why why are we gonna go do that? What's the point? By the time you do that, you lose. And that doesn't mean the military is perfect. It doesn't mean American diplomacy is always perfect. It doesn't mean mistakes will get made. But the military functions, and the one job of the military, this is a horrible It's gonna sound horrible to many of you, but it's to kill people and break things our enemies, and the better we do that to our enemies. And this sounds heartless, doesn't it. But it's to defend this country and anyone that wants to bring harm to America it's gonna pay dearly for that. And that's the role of the military in a nutshell. It's not a charity. It's not out there to do great things. And the National Guard, by the way, being deployed Operation I was reading this the National Guard in Charlotte, Operation Charlotte's Web. Three hundred and fifty people deported. Man, it is a juggernaut of getting things done. Mayor Lyle, sorry, you're just wrong. You and your ilk are just completely wrong on this. And you should be trying to defend Americans and being Americans that are legally here. You should, You could, you can, And there's nothing wrong with being on the same page as everyone else defending the country that you have an oath to serve, and you took an oath when you became the mayor of Charlotte. Here's a great idea. How about making an escape to a really special and secluded getaway in western North Carolina. Just a quick drive up the Mountain and Cabins of Asheville is your connection. As we're mentioning centers lock In when she was on ABC News and said she's one of the six that did this crazy video asking military members to defy orders of illegal orders of the president. They didn't cite what those illegal orders were. It was very generic and he could have said, I mean, it could have been any orders. You know, Hey, we want you to move. Nope, I question that. Maybe it's illegal. Can't make me move? You want me to go to Oklahoma? No, I think that maybe there's you know, it's just insane when when sitting members in Congress make a video to tell the military to defy orders that that's that's it's almost treason us if you think about it. Are they trying to take control of the military. I mean, I know they're not, but but you can't not question that it's treason US. It's traitors. I agree with that. No, Matt, Can you imagine can you imagine a bunch of Republicans tell as much as they didn't like Obama, say hey, you on that nuclear submarine, don't listen to the president's orders. You at Fort Bragg, yes, I can call it Fort Bragg. Now you at Fort Bragg disobey the president's orders. You people guarding the nuclear secrets that are that are sitting on those missile silos, just don't listen any orders. Defy the orders. They're illegal. That that's the kind of Kookville reality that those folks engaged in. And by the way, the Department of War is reviewing a potential court martial for Senator Mark Kelly after he urged military personnel to reviews unlawfl orders. Also, Mark Kelly also cannot say what the illegal orders were. Is it a conspiracy theory they've just come up with they're trying. They're now they realize they've been caught. They should have never produced those videos. They put those videos out. They're widely circulated, and now they look just they look stupid, they look foolish. I can't even muster pity for these six these people. Their derangement syndrome has extended to the point of they're willing to throw their entire lives away being traders because they just don't like the President. I don't know, I don't know what they thought they were going to accomplish. That's the thing when I look at this, when I review it and I look at that video, I'm thinking, what did they If they got together and said, hey, we're going to make this video and it's going to be released, and we don't like the president. We're going to get the military to disobey him. Was that an attempt to create a coup? Be able to say, oh, Chad, be serious. Come on, well, now ask yourself what is it If they got together and said the military should defy the orders of their commanders. How high up should those defiances go? Should the generals decide, hey, we've got members of Congress, let's have a coup, because then we're no longer a country, right, We're just we're a third world country. And that's what these people were engaged in, or the actions of a Banana republic. I mean not to put too light a point on this, but if you look at what Venezuela has done, so Venezuela has a non elected president that is running that country. The military. No one's one hundred percent sure if the military is supporting Moduro. You have a Nobel Prize winner that is a considered a leader of the people that he she's so well known and so popular now that he can't afford to get rid of her. And you've got twenty percent of the US military naval presence, the USS Jerald Ford. This amazing military power sitting out there in the Caribbean, from Puerto Rico on down to Trinidad. You've got military personnel all through that theater of operations. Now, many of you are concerned, we're gonna just invade, We're just gonna take them, and you're going to hit the jungle beaches of Venezuela and invade. I am much more su I was gonna. I don't know the proper word to use. I'm much more calm about this. I believe that what's happening is a lot of Spookville. I think there's a lot of CIA stuff going on down there. To say, I think there are a lot of meetings and discussions with high ranking military leaders in Beniceula having meetings saying, hey, you know what, not to put too fine a point on it, but why don't you guys just decide that Maduro's got to go and then allow the properly elected leaders of the country to take office and then you got our support. By the way, we have a battle carrier group off the coast, and we have a lot of really powerful military things. So we got your back. Make it so so if they throw him out from within, and then the problem for Maduro is where the heck does he go? How does he survive that? And that's where I think we are in venezuel I don't think there's any intention of a ground force invasion in Venezuela. This isn't Panama, this is Manuel nor Diego. This is a very different situation. But clearly our foreign policy is you are not going to kill Americans anymore with the importation of these illicit substances. We're not going to tolerate it anymore. It's kind of clear and present danger except above board. Tom Clancy novel, great novel if you ever get a chance to redaduce. But back to this, what these six people did. We're in a very tense situation. You know, We've got probably the greatest promoter of peace we've had in the White House in multiple theaters of operation, and now even the Nigerian situation has come to a head with Christians being persecuted, killed, kids being kidnapped, is a horrible situation. There's diplomacy in the Middle East, there's diplomacy breaking out in Sub Saharan Africa, there's diplomacy attempting to create diplomacy in Ukraine. We're obviously wanting to find a peaceful solution in Venezuela in spite of the military build up, and you've got Senator Mark Kelly and a bunch of other Democrats saying, hey, don't obey the military. I cannot understand that mentality. All right, if you're listening to this show, you know I try to keep up with all sorts of current events, and I know you do too, And you've probably heard me say get your news from multiple sources. I'll be with you in a second, Nick Dale, what's going on, buddy, Well. I'll want to tell you what really false is My cake is a party. I'm a Republican, but they should have went ahead in charge of Trumpet Minister, I mean the Biden administration with trees and for letting all these people come in. Nobody's held accountable. But on this six that went against our government stating that we should not follow orders in the military. That is the most stupidest thing I've ever heard. They should be held accountable. Our government has got the word. Nobody is being held accountable for their actions, and in my opinion, these people should be expelled from all forms of government. Well, certainly, you know it seems treason. It's on the surface if you say donobate the military, but you have no you have no basis for that claim, and you're a city member of Congress that those are trees in his words, in my opinion, but my opinion doesn't really matter. It matters. I do think they're pursuing court martialing of Mark Kelly on his words. But there will be repercussions for these people that have no proof of what they alleged. So we'll see. But Dale, I appreciate the callin. Thank you for listening, man, Happy Thanksgiving and with us right now we looked. We appreciate Ernest joining us. Ernest, what's going on? Man? Memory hadn't failed me. But I begin thinking about the similarity of this video to the fifty one intelligence agent's letter. Now, Anthony Blincoln drafted that for a specific purpose. It's a dirty trick. This also is a dirty trick. And I'm beginning to wonder if Lee Atwater hasn't been reincarnated and become a Democrat. We know, Anthony Blake, that's a good one. Anthony Lincoln grafted the letter and some of the intelligence agents refused to sign it. I'd be interested in who basically will the script for the video? Okay, and how many Democrats? Well, let's find out who wrote the script for this video. They didn't come and they're not smart enough to do that, and exactly who was approached to do it and refused to do. It and why. But those are the questions. You know, you can't like, you can't, you can't cure stupidity, and like Senator Kennedy would probably say, but I just wanted the similarity here. This is the Democrats are becoming very adept at what I consider to be in the dirty trick department. And this is what this was for a specific purpose to to you know, get at Trump. But that's my comment. Well, Ernest, you know what, you packed a lot in there. I'm impressed. I mean, Ernest, you hit the Lee Atwater analogy that was greatly outwater, a famous political operative on the right being reincarnated and doing this kind of surreptitious stuff. Great, the great line there shows your grasp of history. And looking at this, I think you're right. All those questions you ask, I think are legitimate lines of inquiry. That well, there's Ernest, But Ernest, thank you, and I do think those are legit. Who was behind it, who came up with the idea, who refused to be a part of that idea, who refused to make it again. You have six people in Congress that made a video to tell people to disobey orders in the military as saying that the orders were illegal, But they have no basis for what that illegal was. I don't know what they were thinking. Especially Mark Kelly, who was in the military. He would never dream of that. But so every military commander ever except Trump is doing something right. Just he's right. It was baseless, and it's worth knowing fifty one intelligence officials that we now know were wrong, that signed a letter that was wrong, and there were many that refused to sign that letter. James Comy Brennan, all these guys that absolutely were out of their minds that have been proven wrong. You're right. I mean, then the caller before talking about the Biden administration being treason us with respect to the defense of the US border, I mean, your number one job in the executive office is defend the nation against against enemies foreign and domestic and coming across our border with millions of people as an invasion. If those people and we don't know what all they came across the border with, we just know there's millions that did. But if an invading force. Now think about this, more people came across the border under the Biden administration than have been part of the invasion of Ukraine by far millions more. If an armed if every drug cartel had put a million, two million, three million people at our border, basically the pop that were ten million population of La at the border and invaded all at once, would the Democrats still say, uh, they have a right to be here. We should give them some benefits, and we should pass motions in and ordinances at our local level to allow them to vote in an election. And yet that's what Democrats did. The only difference is you spread out the millions over years instead of it once. But imagine if they just all came across at once, would the Democrats sit idly by and allow them? They would say no. But what's the only difference is you flattened out the time rather than all at once. If you don't defend the nation's borders, why are you in the executive branch? Any of you? We now know that the executive branch was being run by a bunch of kids, apparently just whimsically running things, and you had a vice president was word salading all over the country looking for root causes, going down to Guatemala doing nothing. They wouldn't even go to the border. They wouldn't even go to the borders. It's untenable the way they conducted themselves. But I do think that the whole Mark Kelly thing and trying to get to those are questions, Ernest, Ernest appreciate you listening to the spot on who was behind it, who was behind the the fifty one intelligence officials, And we never do get those answers. Do we know we know more about the auto pen than we do about the fifty one Intel officials and certainly about the market. I think this is Mark Kelly story and Slotkin going on National TV saying she has no evidence that there were any illegal orders. You you get away with that. I mean, I'm just trying to imagine Republicans doing that to Obama, saying don't justify the orders. You know, when they were going after bin laed to imagine if a bunch of Republicans said, don't do it, just disobey those order. Seal Team six, you guys should really disobey the orders. It would have been. It was just it's just unthinkable. I mean, he's our president. Whether you like him or not, it's rerelevant. It's your president. Well this is Barack Obama, Bill Clinton. He's your president. Don't have to like him. But you know what, when they're taking out the bad guys, that's our president. So I don't understand it. I think that I do think that there are going to be repercussions for these six. I don't think Mark Kelly is the last shoot to drop the pursuit of him being court martialed or whatever. I don't think this at the end. And I it's so funny. During the break, I checked out the feeds and Hakeem Jeffries that the had gone on Twitter for or formerly Twitter now x and said that the charges had been dropped. And it's so funny that the way he worded it was strange to me, he said. He said, the baseless indictment against the attorney attorney trist James has been dismissed. He didn't mention Komy, but Komy was also the only Tis James, which makes it look like they're a racial component to what Hakeem says, and then the Minority of the year said that. But that is not what was dismissed. It wasn't dismissed because the claims were baseless. It was dismissed because the judge didn't like who was appointed to prosecute it. That's what was dismissed. I'm not going to use the nickname that a lot of people on the right refer to Akiem as, but but Jeffries, I think has become one of the greatest assets for the Republican's re election campaigns next year, if ever there was someone who's were words have been absolutely a gold mine for baseless mentality. I mean. And on the other side of the break we'll get into because the King, Jeffries claim that the government shut down and what the Democrats did was about because they cared about people in healthcare, and that's absolutely not true. It's a baseless claim. If you're a Democrat out there thinking your Democrats defended healthcare, they did no such thing. They did nothing about Their objections had anything to do with the healthcare system. It had nothing to do with access to the healthcare system. It had nothing to do with the number of doctors. It had nothing to do with why the prices are going through the roof. All it did was want to throw more money at an existing problem without making it one penny better. It was about just redistributing money into a broken system, like throwing money into a solvment. You know those machines where throw themulching machines where you throw the branching and just disintegrates it. The Democrats objection to and the way they shut down the government was an attempt to just throw money in a woodchipper. That was, it would not have contributed one time to bringing down healthcare costs for Americans. All it was going to do was subsidize the broken system. We'll talk a little bit about that in the third hour. All right, that'll do it for this episode. Thank you so much for listening. I could not do the show without your support and the support of the businesses that advertise on the podcast, So if you'd like, please support them too and tell them you heard it here.
